Always a pleasure to dine at The Social. Very friendly and courteous and the food is awesome. We always come back for special occasions. Love the variety of their martini's....Delicious!!!!

If I could rate the service a negative stars I would. I’ve never had such an uncomfortable dinning experience in my 32 years of life. As soon as we walked in the hostess made us feel unwelcome. When our food came, my friend asked for some parmesan and the waitress (middle aged brunette woman with brown eyes) walked away rolling her eyes and mocking my friend not realizing that I had noticed. As far as the food goes, it was pretty mediocre.

First of all, the foods are delicious except for the calamary that’s a little too salty. The starter bread with spread is so good, lobster bisque is very tasty, fillet mignon was good (their roasted potato side is awesome), rack of lamb is also tender and tasty (but the rice side is just ok). My only concern is that when you Google the place, you’re expecting fine dining and that’s what I went there for. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t look representative enough to be called fine dining place. The food quality is there to be in the fine dining level, but the presentation can be improved. Also Google suggest $20-30 per person in the description which entirely inaccurate. The entree itself mostly above $30 already. But for me who was expecting fine dining experience, I’m very satisfied with the food quality, service, the price

I really enjoyed my time at the Social. I had no idea the restaurant was this good if it were not for the reviews I read on here. The outside sign of the restaurant does not make it seem like a fine dine restaurant and always made we avoid wanting to try this restaurant. I’m glad I overcame the front entrance because the interior of the restaurant is much more charming and welcoming. We had an excellent waitress who gave us great recommendations. The food tasted really good and we were even convinced to try the desert as well. I will be coming back in the further to try more items on the menu.

I had a first time great experience. We went there for our anniversary. My wife got the osso buco/veal and I got the rack of lamb. Our meals were delicious. The service was awesome. If you love a Martini, they have about 80 different types. I wish I knew about this place 14 years ago.

Saturday anniversary dinner. Shrimp cocktail had 4 large, delicious shrimp. Duck breast with port wine reduction was so good. Lobster tail was perfect, said hubby. They even brought us a dessert for our anniversary! Saw many beautiful martinis, as well!

UPDATE: Thank you to the owner for reaching out and addressing the behavior of these disrespectful privledged racist women. Ive left the pictures attached because I feel this community deseves to know who these people really are. Delicious food, normally a great atmosphere, but yesterday afternoon our family was harassed while having dinner. There was a table of 3 couples, and the women clearly had too much to drink. Two of their husbands just walked out when the hateful, drunk women started acting up. They were belligerent, rude, hateful & disgusting. They started screaming and cursing at a child for laughing too loud. They were overly served, clearly intoxicated, and just needlessly mean and confrontational. I am very disappointed that the staff didn't do more to address the situation but rather continued to serve them more alcohol. One of the ladies actually followed us out and continued to harass us. If anyone knows these women, I hope they are embarrassed as they should be ashamed of themselves. Their behavior was uncalled for and unacceptable.

The Social is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Clarita. This valley is full of franchise restaurants, however The Social is truly owner operated and your experience from the food, service and atmosphere will be top notch. The owner, Patrick, is such a wonderful person. My fave is the Penne Pasta and the Social salad. Parking: Easy to park in front of the restaurant.

I loved this spot. It was fun to peruse the Martini menu & try a few Id never tried before. I got the Duck & it was phenomenal! Our server was on top of her game & super helpful. And I loved that there were at least three tables that seemed to be regulars. I cant wait to go back.

Interesting list of prerequisites to dine here. Im not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill but it seems like theres a certain demographic they dont want around here lol. Not even touching on the laughable list of unenforceable rules they have as far as ordering .. I feel bad for the staff because theyre all just trying to do a job but narrow-minded owners putting their workers at the front lines to deal with their own poor decisions is nothing new.

We moved to the East Coast from Newhall a few years ago but always make it a point to head to The Social when we return for a visit. The food, service and ambiance are consistently great. The owner is pleasant and attentive to the guests as his team goes about preparing and delivering the drinks and meals. We look forward to many future visits.

If youre able to pay the price then this is the restaurant for you. My wife had a delicious steak and I had a wonderful pasta. The drink menu is extensive with over 100 choices. We didnt have a reservation but they are encouraged on weekends. Theres plenty of parking since the restaurant is in the edge of a shopping center. The restaurant is in Valencia but just across the street from Newhall.

Food is very good. The only disadvantage is wait time. Usually I spend 1-1.5 hours in such restaurants, but in this one I spent more than 2 hours. But in general delicious food covers my long waiting time and Im satisfied. Anyway if you are very hungry and need to eat quick this is not a place for you. And they dont have a kid menu.

Have not been at the social for a long time but we decided to try it tonite. I ordered a lemon drop Martini, I think if you are going to pay $12 or more it should be a Good martini to my surprise I was having water sugar I asked the bartender, which by the way was rude, to give me a beer instead. She asked if she could te do it. I said no My mistake, we were ignored by her the rest of the evening. We told her we needed to order she said wait a few Never came to asked. We were sitting at the bar. We asked the other girl and she took care of us. And we were charged the $12 for the Martino I never had. Patrick, the owner was out of town. Never again

The drinks are very good. The service is excellent. The booths are a little tight and we are not big people. The food is pretty good, but super salty. I even asked for low salt. They did take my dinner back and remade it quickly, but still very salty 2nd visit, and last! The place was nearly empty, no wonder. The waitress was fantastic! The food, oh goodness. We started with the shrimp cocktail and then the bruschetta. The shrimp sauce was excellent. The bruschetta was kind of lame, not great bread, barely toasted and only okay topping. My husband ordered the Caesar salad, heavily dressed. I had the potato leek soup. A huge skin on the top! When did they plate that? My husband ordered the lobster ravioli, very goopy and not necessarily homemade. I had the panko crusted halibut and vegetables. Well I thought that I read the menu extremely carefully. I obviously didnt. The fish came covered in a sweet goopy sauce. I would never send it back because it was an expensive item on the menu. I scraped as much of the sauce off as possible. My steamed vegetables were cold. The scalloped potatoes I honestly didnt even recognize. They were extremely burnt. All I can say is that the drinks were good.

We we so fortunate to have found this restaurant, which is in our neighborhood. We ve been here several times recently and have always been impressed. Their martini menu is extensive and always terrific. The service has been great, and the food has always been excellent! They have an extensive menu and everything we ve had, and our friends have had, we have loved. Their prices are very reasonable. Last night I had the Jambalaya, for the second time, and it was perfect! As they tend to be busy, especially on the weekends, reservations are recommended. A special shout out to Stacy, our newly most favorite waitress.

Delicious! My first time dining here and ordered the escargot, duck breast, and triple chocolate mousse. The escargot wasnt drowning in oil and nicely seasoned. The duck breast was tender. That chocolate mousse was not only nice in presentation, but light and not too sweet. Will be back again for sure!

This place is awesome. They have heaters outside! Great staff - they were all so sweet and honest. The pasta is to die for! We had the veal parm special and I absolutely loved the spaghetti. It was cooked to perfection. First time having escargot which was interesting but I dont think itll be added to my list of favorites, however, its off of my bucket list now. The wine was delicious and so was the root beer. Cocktails were well balanced. Overall, certainly a spot you want to check out.

So because of two very demanding careers, we eat dinner out at least twice a week. Believe me, this place is a hidden gem. The Social scores 5 stars in what I call the Big Five of dining......Service, food, drinks, environment, and price! The owner, Patrick, obviously spent years preparing to open this place, because every detail of your dining experience is excellent.

At the time the server took the order she said shed be back with more water, once, twice, three times before she actually brought some. Our meals had arrived and we were into them prior to getting a refill.when the meals were dropped off one on our party asked for ketchup for his fries. We asked again and waited. He finally got up and went inside to retrieve some ketchup.

I love The Social, have been a patron for years. I like the size of the place and the people are usually friendly and on top of things, the food has always been excellent. I moved away from the area but will drive the hour and a half for dinner. Im so glad theyre still going strong.

We just celebrated our anniversary and wanted a classy place, not unreasonable prices, nearby and outstanding food...The Social fit the bill. In fact, we first went there for our anniversary last year and enjoyed it so much we returned. The menu is limited but everything on it is good. The filet, the scallops, the halibut, the lobster bisque and if it is a special occasion, free Creme Brule for dessert. Waiters are attentive, visit often and the food comes out quickly and hot. Ticked away in a strip mall, the restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but once through the doors, you could be in a Paris bistro. Full bar and wine list and an entire menu of just martinis with every combination possible. Prices are reasonable enough you dont need a special occasion to visit. Only open for dinner.

The service was beyond reproach but the food was just mediocre. The duck was hard to cut through and the skin was not crisp because the whole plate was drowned in a rather bland sauce. There was only one flavor on the plate, everything tasted like that sauce. The rack of lamb was overcooked, the rice pilaf was almost completely unseasoned, it was overall just a bunch of meh on the food side. Not worth the check.

First impressions are important and our server, Jennifer, made sure ours was very positive . The bread and olive tapenade were a great start to an amazing meal. The French onion soup was fantastic. Some of the best I have ever had ! There is a martini list the likes of which I could never have even imagined ! The martini I had was called an Adios, probably a take off on the popular drink, AMF. It was so tasty and smooth ! The steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious . They use quality meats !

Best food we have had in a long time. Visiting from put of town picked this location for our 26th. Did not disappoint. Lamb was fabulous and lobster bisque was best we have had in 16 years! Wait staff was knowledgeable and experienced. Super friendly atmosphere. When we come to the area to visit our Son (CalArts) we will make sure we stop at the Social for a meal!

The staff are extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable of their menu. I had an excellent 4 course dinner and the best Moscow Mules Ive ever tasted. It was as if I was on a cruise (and a good cruise at that). I had no idea I could eat food of this quality in the Santa Clarita Valley area. I certainly plan to return soon.

Great place, we loved it! Awesome martini bar and restaurant. Small place so even if you have a reservation, you may have to wait to get a seat during the dinner rush. Dining room is much quieter than the bar area, but we enjoyed the lively mood in the bar and felt free to talk and laugh and not feel like we were too loud. The service is amazing! The manager gave us personal attention and our waitress/bartender was very helpful and catered to us! We never felt rushed and our courses were brought out for us so we didnt have to rush and could enjoy each one and our cocktails. The Oprah martini was excellent and the dessert martinis recommended by our waitress were exactly what we were looking for. Amble menu selection with enough variety to please most parties.

This is the best place, not only in SCV, but in the greater Los Angeles area! Dont let the storefront entrance fool you, this place comes to you with the full fine dining experience complete with napkins placed in your laps upon seating, crumb scraper after courses, an aerated decanter for your bottle of wine if you want it, and service like youve never known. Weve been coming here for years, and Patrick (the owner) is amazing! He remembers faces and personally takes time to check in at every table, doing wine service when appropriate, and being on top of simply everything! Best food at a restaurant Ive ever had! I spend hours dreaming and salivating about the lobster bisque, and the bacon wrapped scallops are to die for! They make a duck breast to rival my favorite chefs, and the steaks are prepared as perfectly as if you were at a top rated steak house. Dessert menu is amazing, and all delicious, but we seldom save room!

This is a great restaurant. It only suffers from its own success! There is usually a wait for a table and there is NO parking anywhere in this mostly residential neighborhood. Yet, despite these two issues this restaurant is not to be missed! We loved our omelettes and each was perfectly prepared and had all fresh ingredients.

Great service, amazing food. We had a few cocktails in the bar before dinner. I sampled a cucumber martini which was delicious. Had the calamari appetizer, perfectly cooked, very lightly breaded with tasty dipping sauce. Ordered the halibut for dinner which was cooked to perfection.

Great Place! Felt very welcomed and served well during a business dinner. Patrick is a great host and owner so I will be sure to be visiting more when I make the trip down from Nor Cal!

What a hidden gem! Have been driving by this place for years but because its hidden in a strip mall never really paid attention to it. Pay Attention! The owner greeted us and walked us to our table where our napkins were placed in our laps. We knew we were in for good service and a good meal. The martini list was four rows and I am sure if you couldnt find one to your liking they would gladly make one for you. Our server was excellent and very sweet. And the food! We tried the bacon wrapped scallops, roasted artichoke, bleu cheese salad, filet and lobster and a decadent chocolate dessert that were all delicious! My husband and I shared everything which was the way to go so we really enjoyed every bite without over stuffing ourselves. Look forward to going back and trying some other tasty morsels. You wont be disappointed!

One of the best menus in town. Consistently good food and service. Excellent happy hour food and prices and a great place to kick off an evening with friends.
