Needed a spot nearby for brunch and this was highly recommended by a local resident as a hidden gem. We ordered and found a spot outside in the shade though they have seating inside too. Coffee was decent and the breakfast chorizo hit the spot. My brunch partner was impressed with the hot sauce which turns out is their own brand though they had 2 others if its not to your liking.

Manager and cashier exuded hostility and wondering a) why do people work in restaurants? and b) whats the point of coming to restaurants?. I expect to see avocado as an extra charge but I also expect to see what a reasonable person would conclude is $3 worth of avocado in the breakfast burrito I ordered.

A cute little hidden spot for a nice breakfast/brunch. There is parking in the front, but I m never sure if we are really allowed to use it. Here you need to get in line to order your food and they will bring it to you after. The place can be crowded and you could wait some time, but there is a lot of space to sit around. It is very chill. There are a lot of options to choose from. I ve tried a few things. This time, we got the Fried Egg Sandwich and the Bluey s Burger. The sandwich is good with its sauce but gets very messy so just be prepared. Their fries are good. I have never tried the burger but was told it is good. I have tried their peanut butter shake, which I really enjoyed! Overall, the food is enjoyable and you get to sit outside. So, I would recommend this place for the overall experience and chill vibe.

Blueys feels like an absolutely California experience, delicious eats at a somewhat expensive price point with open air seating and good vibes. The food was delicious and the space was cozy but inviting. Definitely will visit if Im in the area again! Vegetarian options: They had a soy-rizo option in the stead of chorizo or bacon. Also had some avo toast options and the pancakes were yum! Parking: All of the parking next to the restaurant is reserved for employees of Blueys and its neighbors. However, the spots on the street next to it are very open even on a sunday morning so youll just have to walk a little bit.

Blueys Santa Monica 1814 Berkeley St, Santa Monica, CA 90404 This is a very interesting restaurant, very comfortable and casual. The seats of the customers are around the shady outside of the shop. In the Mediterranean climate of California, it has a great atmosphere. A group of friends of the boss gathered here to chat about work and A typical happy Sunday brunch surrounded by friends and gossip; highly recommended. We ordered: Blueys breakfastBlues breakfast two eggs (your choice), bacon, baby heirloom tomatoes, tabasco kale and mushrooms, avocado served with country toast $16.5 Two eggs (your choice), bacon, baby heirloom tomatoes, Tabasco kale and mushrooms, avocado on country toast $16.50

Other than this horrible experience the food is always phenomenal, presentation is 5 stars and we have always been treated really well. Please do better

Blueys in Santa Monica is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the cozy and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The standout dish for me has to be the butternut squash pancakes. They are nothing short of divine light, fluffy, and they practically melt in your mouth. The perfect blend of sweet and savory, these pancakes are a must-try and truly set Blueys apart. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience every time. If you re in Santa Monica, Blueys is a breakfast spot you cannot miss! Parking: Right outside of the facility is a paid parking lot but if you park on the side of the street without the parking signs ITS FREE! Be warned, not many of these spots are available !

We were interrupted multiple times during our order and they didnt even seem to care to apologize. Not horrible but that affects my score. Food was good. Not amazing but pretty good. I dont think I will be returning but it was an ok experience overall. I forgot to take the pictures of the food. My hot green tea matcha was just ok. The pancakes were very good. It came with granola and sweet avocado cream. Parking is very limited. And I mean perhaps 3 spots for the restaurant. Everything else around is reserved for other businesses and on the streets around, permit only.

I stopped here for lunch. In the middle of an industrial park area, it reeks of LA vibes, making the best of outdoors in the middle of a city. Sourcing fresh and local foods, I felt it was a bit pricey, but it fits this Santa Monica area. A lot of young hip professionals frequent This joint. I would probably come here if I worked in the neighborhood, but I would not make a drive just to eat here. Parking during lunch is difficult. The line out the door does go pretty quickly though, about 10 minutes. And then another 10 minutes to get your food. If you go with a friend time goes by fast. Sitting outdoors is nice. It feels like youre At a movie studio because youre sitting between buildings or out in the parking lot under a tent.

Ive been here at least 10 times and will continue to come here for the food and good vibes. There arent that many places that offer healthy but consistently tasty food with good atmosphere in this area. I also love that there is always parking with outdoor seatings, and its a self-service/to-go place. My favorite is their burrito, peanut butter smoothie, and their bowl with market fish. The only downside is that there can be a long line on the weekend prime time - I once waited 45 minutes with a friend on a sunny Saturday 11am but we just chatted and caught up so it was fine.

This location is right by the beach with limited parking nearby especially on a Thursday in the morning as most signs state street cleaning from 8am-10am. We came here around 9:45am so right before the time ended. The location is very busy as you can see in the photos so we were seated outside which is nice as there are tables, chairs and benches. The food was an incredible American bistro and the sweet squash pancakes were crunchy and just right. The location is beautiful, up-kept and clean and a great place to work and enjoy your breakfast as this location was rather quiet despite how busy! Its also a great place to eat outside with your pups as most dog owners would come by for breakfast! Vegetarian options: Lots of fruits and veggies to work with as most pancakes dishes typically come with a side of bacon or eggs but my sweet squash pancakes came with granola and fruit on the side instead ! Kid-friendliness: It s a great location to bring your own stroller and enjoy a meal either indoors or outdoors at your table ! Wheelchair accessibility: There s open space in the location to have a wheelchair by the table

The Blueys in Santa Monica is a casual place to meet up with friends or colleagues for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. With primarily covered outdoor seating in the parking lot, there s usually plenty of tables available. Make sure to clearly read the signs in the parking lot and on the streets. The downside is that they don t have WiFi. If you re sensitive to caffeine maybe order something beside a the latte so that you don t get jittery. The 12oz latte is $5, +$1 for oat milk. I love their for here mug and saucers. The food is high quality and great portion sizes, and they bring it to your table. For food, the Blueys Breakfast Plate gives you a little bit of everything for $16. Two eggs your way (I went with scrambled), bacon (you can swap this out for a vegetarian substitute), heirloom tomatoes, sautéed Tabasco kale and mushrooms, and fresh avocado (small) served with country toast. For only $1 extra, they let you swap out gluten free bread for the regular bread.

Came for the Sweet Squash pancakes, but ended up liking the Bowl Formerly Known As much better. Sweet squash pancakes- Major props on creativity! And moving past the basic banana and lemon ricotta varieties in SM. The granola was a great addition, berries are fresh, but I couldnt get past how gummy the pancakes were and that you really couldnt taste the squash flavor. The Bowl FKA- this was beautiful! So colorful and everything tasted so fresh! Loved the kale and purple cabbage; the dressing was very tasty! The falafels were on the dry side, and the hummus unfortunately was a huge miss for me. Happy I tried this place, but doesnt live up to the hype to make this a regular spot for me.

Maybe it s due to the hype but we ended up very unimpressed. The food was average yet overpriced and the service was lacking and slow (and we were not there during a busy time). I asked at one point to make it to-go, they told me it ll be out in 5 minutes at the 30min mark. The waitress was apologetic. I just been waiting around crowd of folks coming and going this entire time. I already spent an hour trying to have lunch (I missed my chance to eat already) Basically it was either wait more for fries or remove the fries off the bill. The manager only took off the fries from the bill, but kept my entire tip % off the original bill. Well okay then. I figure it was a bad day, but I m good not coming back here.

Great coffee, and absolutely love the fried egg sandwich. Cozy little spot tucked away in an unassuming area. Can get pretty busy on the weekends and the kitchen can slow down a bit, but other than that this place is an awesome find!

I had The Bowl Formerly Known As with coffee and a slice of their homemade banana bread. The bowl has a nice variety of colors, textures, and flavors and I could recommend that breakfast option to people moving towards a vegetarian diet. It was pretty filling too! The banana bread was dense and delicious. The space is relaxing and light. The place has a bit of a punk vibe going on which I totally enjoyed.

If youre looking for a fantastic dining experience with a unique blend of Southern charm and California flair, look no further than Bluesys in Santa Monica. From the moment you walk through the door, youll be transported to a cozy Southern kitchen with its rustic decor, friendly staff, and bluesy tunes playing in the background. The menu offers a mouth-watering selection of classic Southern dishes with a modern twist, all made with the freshest ingredients and a touch of California flavor. The fried chicken is a must-try, with its perfectly crispy coating and juicy, tender meat. The mac and cheese is also a crowd-pleaser, with a rich, creamy sauce and just the right amount of gooey cheese. And dont forget to indulge in their homemade desserts, like the warm apple cobbler or the decadent chocolate cake. The drinks at Bluesys are also worth raving about. Their signature cocktails are creative and delicious, and their wine list is impressive, with a variety of options that perfectly complement the food. But what really sets Bluesys apart is the exceptional service. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making sure you have a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Overall, Bluesys in Santa Monica is a gem that should not be missed. Whether youre a fan of Southern food or just looking for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere, Bluesys is the perfect spot. I highly recommend this restaurant and cant wait to go back myself!

I have been a regular Blueys customer for years now and have loved their food, the pancakes and bowl formerly known as are my top picks, but I was completely disappointed in how small they started making the breakfast burrito recently. Hopefully reducing portions and maintaining the same price point doesn t become a trend.
