Coffee was quite good. Cappuccino was well balanced with good flavor. Butter croissant was massive and tasty but a bit on the dry side.

Biggest detractor was the service or lack there of. The cashier and staff seem to move at their own pace and don’t care if there is a large line. The cashier kept stepping away after every order to drink his own coffee, laugh with coworkers and then do another task or two before helping the next person to order. The line was at the door and took nearly 20 minutes do to this. I liked the coffee but likely won’t be back because I often don’t have 20 minutes to grab a cup to go.

The lattes here taste as good as they look, and the location is comfortable and convenient. The breakfast burritos are great and big enough to share for a lighter breakfast. Not sure if the donuts are made in-house, but also tried them on a different day, and they have a great soft chewy texture.

Good food, I loved the salad and Avo toast, coffee is tasty too. However ask for extra hot as mine was barely warm.
And my Avo toast came without salmon, so I had to ask to add it even though it was on the menu as Avo salmon toast,

Service isn’t nice at all. I was not comfortable asking for anything.

The blueberry muffin was on the drier side and not very sweet but good. The chocolate banana bread was so moist it was almost like fudge consistency wise, which I did not mind, but I know some people may not like. The donuts from here are not half bad either, the sweetness coming from the topping and not so much the dough itself. The service here was quick, to the point, but still friendly. This a type of place that depends heavily on one cleaning up the table after themselves. Most tables had some type of mess on them, even though there is what appeared to me as a designated area to put your dishes and trash. Overall, it's a nice place to stop for a quick snack and either sit to watch people walk by or go on your way with.

Im Italian and i think that certifies me to review the coffee and orange juice i had.

Coffee: The scent and appearance was top de gamma. They even nailed the crema (foam / top layer) of the espresso.

Orange juice: well mother nature made the oranges nothing to mess up here. It tasted awesome and refreshing.

Sadly there was no table service. I didn’t notice that early and got a bit confused.

I can totally recommend this place.

The coffee is great, and the baristas are always super nice! The kitchen, however, was short-staffed and a bit unprofessional today. I waited 20 mins for my burrito when there were only four other customers inside. It turned out that my food was ready for a while and was just left on the kitchen counter. The baristas were kind enough to give me a refund. Again, no complaints to the coffee section. The kitchen staffers need more training for sure.

I went with a group of four, enjoyed the atmosphere, and the coffee was pretty good. The girl who took our order was very kind and helpful. However, the guy who was making the coffee had nothing to serve but attitude. When we asked for the steamed milk (that we paid extra for) his response was There s half and half there, get it yourself. I hate to give this place a negative review because it was mostly good. But that guy totally ruined our experience.

Yesterday 04/21 I came in with my colleagues and it was very hectic. They did a great job getting things moving along however two employees were not helping. One employees (male with strong accent) was sitting around not doing anything to help the two young gentlemen in the front who were handling everything. The girl was careless and unprofessional she also had a strong accent. They were lazy and left all the work to be handled by two other gentlemen in the front. I give this place a 4.5 star only because of the hard work coming from the other two employees. I think management really needs to have a conversation about the employees that sit around and expect their other teammates to do all the work for them! It was visibly painful to even watch

Hello. I was in this cafe today. I ordered a cappuccino, a latte and two bagels with salmon, sat at the table for 20 minutes waiting for the order and never received anything. I went up to the counter and it turns out my coffee had been standing for a long time and was waiting for me to pick it up, it was standing and getting cold, but no one told me that I had to pick it up myself. When placing my order I was given a badge with a number. but that s not all, after I picked up my cold coffee, it turned out that they didn t have salmon, and as a result, after drinking cold coffee, we went to look for another coffee shop.

So we were in line to order for about 10 min. 3 lattes and a burrito. Lattes came out fairly quick. Good flavor. Then we waited, and waited, and waited, finished our lattes and continued waiting, finally after 1.5 we left with no burritos. Not worth the wait. Starbucks is quick, convenient and a lot cheaper!

This quaint cafe was exactly what I needed for an afternoon working remotely! FANTASTIC 10/10 coffee - both the flat white and iced Americano were superb. The turkey + brie sandwich was bomb too (ask for chipotle on the side!) Joaquin was a legend and a very talented barista! Thanks for the Wi-Fi and cozy vibes. I shall return! :)

Its located right next to a large public parking spot. It s close to the main strip of Santa Monica and the beach. The coffee is the best i ve had in a while. I tried their lattee with almond milk and a dash of cinnamon powder. The shop is very neat, very clean, bright, and nice to sit in. It has a nice vibe. The sweets and small bites they offer look delicious. I haven t tried their food, but if their coffee is perfect, i think their food would be as good.

The staff here is really friendly, which is a plus. Most folks come for coffee, but what sets this place apart for me is that it offers more than just coffee it has a pretty good tea selection, and since I prefer tea over coffee, thats a big win. The atmosphere is pleasant, with just the right amount of background music, making it conducive for studying. The place is also clean, and considering its in downtown Santa Monica, the bathroom is decent enough. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the pastries are a tad on the pricey side. Nonetheless, if youre looking for a friendly spot with a nice tea selection and a good environment for studying, this place is worth checking out.

I have got three Cortados by two different baristas from here because the first one was burnt and the second one as well. Then the third one was also burnt. They talk about good coffee but if you want a good coffee I dont recommend having a coffee here.

The particular barista who helped me wasnt the friendliest, but the other ones were super nice ... and despite the initial abruptness, my latte was INCREDIBLE - maybe one of my favorite lattes Ive ever had! Its expensive and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I paid 12 dollars for a latte and a napolitana. After telling the waitress that I was going to sit at the tables on the terrace, 10 minutes later, seeing that my order still hadnt arrived, I saw that it was on the counter. And no one had told me anything. I will not come back.

When I was in downtown Santa Monica the other day, I stopped by Espresso Cielo to get breakfast . I had a flat white and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee wasnt anything spectacular but its fine considering this is a very touristy area. The breakfast sandwich was pre-packaged but nicely warmed up. They got the job done. When I left, I wasnt overjoyed, but I was full. The shop has plenty of seats inside as well as few outdoor tables. Service was friendly.

Service and communication was lacking. Granola served without milk even though ordered with milk. I had to ask for the milk and server wasn t sure if she was supposed to give it to me. I would like to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu items. I had to ask for veggies to be added to a quesadilla. I had to ask for cherry tomatoes to be included with lox bagel when they were out of regular tomatoes. Felt like a lack of creativity, fresh ingredients and effort to please customers. Pastries were not impressive. Coffee was good. No organic milk or cream options, unfortunately.

I tried many places and this is in my top 3 in LA and absolutely number 1 on the list. If you a coffee lover you d love it here. Nice atmosphere and great staff is an advantage too :)
