Perry's has a large outdoor seating area. With the Californian sunshine, it was very pleasant to sit outside. The cushions need some cleaning. I noticed many stains . The ice Latte was coffee blended with some ice cream, which was too milky for my taste. The other drinks we ordered were pretty good.

Highly recommended to rent a bike with this company. Reasonable price, the bikes are in perfect condition and the guy is very friendly. He told us that if we went a few minutes over the hour nothing would happen, which is appreciated because it gives you peace of mind.

We might ve gotten lucky, but there wasn t a line and we got water-facing beach chairs at the front. Although there s fencing at the beach which limits the water view, we still enjoyed dipping our feet into the sand and enjoying large pina coladas (a bit too frosty but still good)

Its a real rip-off shop. Drinks are available at high prices. Wine only in cans and in plastic cups, but as expensive as in a restaurant. Doesnt work at all. Its better to buy something in the supermarket and then eat it on the beautiful beach instead of getting annoyed at this store.

Walking along the beach we needed somewhere to eat, and Perrys was conveniently located right on the seafront, so it only felt natural to grab a quick lunch there. After ordering we were fortunate enough to find a table (there were very few). We ordered a cheeseburger, margherita pizza, tacos, and a crispy chicken sandwich. Although it was a lovely location, the 45 minute wait for our food which followed was far too long, particularly for somewhere which gives the impression of a quick and convenient place to grab some food. It is not enough to put up some signs saying this is not fast food... etc, because even in a 5 star restaurant I would never expect to wait that long. It definitely isnt fast food - its the slowest food Ive had in California. To make matters worse the burger was very rare, if not undercooked. There was also a thick cross section of an onion inside my burger - no idea why but I hope this was just a mistake. The pizza came 10 minutes after the rest of the food and tasted claggy. I understand that it was Sicilian style, but it was just not good enough. It was also enormous, even as a medium. One slice wouldve been enough. The crisps which came with the sandwich tasted like they came out of an old packet stuffed at the back of a cupboard. Our experience at Perrys was only saved by its fabulous location on the beach. I would never go there if not for this. Also, dont ask for a tip when there is no table service. This is a personal grievance of mine in the US, but I find it ridiculous being prompted for a 20% tip after Ive just ordered a burger over the counter. There is no table service, so why should I add a service tip? I hadnt even tasted the food yet.

Bikes were old, the guy was shaving his head while using the ATM as a mirror when we walked up, didnt offer to adjust the seats or any locks. Dont rent from the old guy by the Venice pier. Rude! More worried about feeding the squirrel than renting us bikes. I had to switch my bike out at another location because it was too small and uncomfortable. Also stopped at a second location to get the seat adjusted. Its also more expensive than the other shops.

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I had the California Bowl with fish. The fish was firm grilled Mahi, very fresh! Sitting in the sand under the umbrella was perfection! Great laid back vibe. Parking in the adjacent lot is $1/hour, 2 hr max and took about 10 minutes to find a spot. (To be fair we overstayed our time and didnt get ticketed. Thank you God. )

We recently had a misunderstanding at this location. I really appreciate the management, especially Cameron, Aurora, and Yezmin for taking care of us and helping to make it right. I truly wasn t going to review because I don t leave reviews ever- but I was here with my family and had a beautiful lunch in Perrys Cafe sand area and They had really comfortable chairs that my kids loved playing in the sand around. The only reason I m rating this low is while i took my daughter to use the restroom (located in the back) I over heard this older gentleman screaming at his employees. I won t write specifics but what I heard was disrespectful to whoever was on the other end. I didn t want my daughter to hear so we quickly left back around. 5pm-7pm happy hour, but you cant order a beer at 6:30pm. Really?? Thats disappointing. Edit: adding more detail given the owners response. I was there with friends for happy hour on Monday of the week this review was added. We were going to get a second round of drinks before happy hour ended. I went to the counter at 6:30pm and there was already a closed sign above the registers. I asked if I could order another couple beers and was told that they were closed and werent serving anymore. And for clarity, my review is purely about the hours of service... otherwise the food, location, etc. are great given there isnt anything else along Santa Monicas beach.

Watch out! Was charged $25 for a combo burger with fries. (The menu said $20 - not that that was any better). It took 20 min for 2 burgers that weren t that great. You re paying for their rent. Buyer beware!

Its absurd that renting a bike for $30 comes with an additional fee for a baby seat for $32, especially when the rental period is only two hours. If youre willing to pay the high price, then it might not matter to you. But for many people, this is an unfair charge that should be extended to at least three hours.

Talk about eating on the beach !! This place is literally just that. Such a unique cafe. If you want to catch a tan, have some wine and the best tacos you ever had ??? Then by all means, stop in here. There are bikes and skates to rent if you want to make a day of it. I loved that there were so many different seating areas , from beach chairs to lovely dining seating. There are burgers and pizza available as well as breakfast ! Bathrooms and ample parking too. However, this place is super busy in summer so be patient when you see a line.

I came here with my party before heading out to the beach. The ambiance was great and the food hit the spot. Stephanie, who took our order, was very friendly and even made sure I was good when I went back to the window to ask for something. I had to wait 1 hour to rent a surfboard and wetsuit because they were not done setting up by the time they opened and the equipment was very poor quality. Came here on a Tuesday morning at 9:30 am, which is when they open, with a friend who wanted to surf for the first time. I went up to one of the employees and told them we wanted to rent equipment for surfing. They told me they were still setting up and it would take about 30 minutes until they could rent out the equipment. This was shocking to me because there were no other patrons and it was not busy, but I begrudgingly waited because I did not know of any other surf rental spots around. 30 minutes later, I asked again, and they were still setting up and told me it would be another 20 minutes. I was already at the end of my patience but my friend did not want to cause a scene. Finally, after waiting an hour, they opened the rental room. It took them 5 minutes to write down my friends name and pay for the rental. Why did we have to wait 1 hour for them to set up when it only took us 5 minutes to rent!? Terrible service. Not only that, but they just showed us the disorganized equipment and told us to grab what we needed. The wetsuits were all tattered and not in order of size. My friend had to try on 4 different wetsuits before finding one that fit her (and if youve ever worn a wetsuit, you know that those things are hard to put on and take off). They only had three foam surfboards, and the outer layer was broken on two of them where the foam is exposed. Dont waste your time renting anything for surfing here. Their rental equipment is damaged and the service is awful.

Für mich als Europäer ist es ungewöhnlich dass man alkoholische Getränke nicht mit an den Strand nehmen darf. Hier könnte man mit Blick auf den Strand in Liegestühlen sitzen. Wir hatten einen Margherita und eine Kokosnuss um ca 30$. Der Margherita wurde aus der Dose in einen Plastikbecher gefüllt und mit Eiswürfel und einer Erdbeere verziert.

Very nice surprise on the way between Santa Monica and Venice Beach. We were hungry and it was 3:30 p.m....we didnt want to go back to the streets. We tried this little restaurant/bar on the edge of the walk, we were not disappointed...after several days in LA we were accustomed to the high prices but here, the view is great, its quiet, pets are accepted and generous quantities! Of course its not great cuisine but its not worse than elsewhere! Plus, they have happy hours! Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza

Perrys Café & Beach Rentals on 2400 Santa Monica is a prime beachfront spot that offers an impressive view. The highlight of my visit was definitely the mahi tacos, which were absolutely delicious. Right on the beach, the mahi tacos were great. The wait was pretty long about 35 minutes. Prices seemed pretty high for the food ingredient quality.

Nice beach tent with a wide range of beach chairs and parasols. The atmosphere really invites you to take a seat. The food is good and prices are what you can expect in this area. There is ample parking right in front of the door.

Great cafe restaurant located right on Ocean Front Walk. You can choose different seating options here and sit down there with or without food, which is available to buy here to take away. We really liked it here. You have a view of the hustle and bustle and the beach.
