My friends took me here right after I landed on my first day visiting town. I could not stop thinking about their Chilaquiles so I had to come back before flying out! On my second visit I tried the Oaxacan chocolate. I usually stay away from seemingly sugary drinks but I was intrigued, and it did not disappoint. It was not unnecessarily sweet at all - the chocolate was rich and complex in a way that was not overwhelming, the milk and chocolate was perfectly balanced, and I felt like an adult enjoying a drink without anticipating a sugar rush-crash The best part of visiting Yagul Cafe is the people: they are so warm and welcoming and I really believe that makes the food so much more delightful than it already is!

I recently stopped by Yagul Cafe, and I was really impressed! The coffee was absolutely delicious, with the perfect flavor rich and smooth. We also tried the affogato, and it was just as tasty, a perfect blend of espresso and ice cream. The guy at the register was super nice and polite, which made the whole experience even better. It s a cozy spot, and I ll definitely be coming back for more!

This is the best Mexican restaurant I ve ever been to. I ve lived on the westside of LA for close to a decade and this is by far my favorite. I don t even usually like Mexican food but this was fantastic. I ve had the Oaxacan huevos (eggs) with chorizo (sausage) and the chicken enchiladas with coloradito mole both of which were out of this world muchos gracias to the chef and the lovely server. The glitz and glamour of Santa Monica is great but baby im hungry! I passed Yagul one morning on my way to get a breakfast burito somewhere else and decided to check it out the next day. I knew from looking at google this was it. They open at 8(win), sever (Mariana) was great, i loved everything she suggested. The food was delicious and filling, left with food for later. The OAXACAN MOCHA is my new fav coffee drink ( came back the next day for another). Sooo if you want a hearty meal with flavor check out Yagul!

This is a truly authentic Oaxacan Cafe. I am blown away by the flavor and freshness of all the ingredients. Anything you order you will be extremely happy with. The scramble was perfect and the tortilla it came with was perfect to soak up all the flavor. They didn t miss on anything including the potatoes. We also ordered a fresh smoothie with no frozen ingredients. The price was under $10 which is a bargain for a smoothie these days. My friend ordered the mole burrito which had such strong flavor. I would recommend added avocado to it as it is extremely rich and delicious. I would not hesitate to order here. The staff is great and welcoming. The food is made fresh to order and you can taste the love and passion in the food. If I had a Oaxacan grandmother I would expect her food to taste like this.

We never got our food, they said they lost our order after waiting almost an hour patiently. In the end we decide to just leave, but the waitress offered my wife a burrito because she had to go to work. Really good food. I had a tcyuda which is a kind of Mexican pizza. Excellent. They have a lot of Oaxacan authentic dishes and American food as well.

Delicious homemade Oaxacan food. Chiles rellenos are spicier than I am used to because they import chiles de agua from Oaxaca, they are great. I like the handmade corn tortillas- small and a bit chewy and somehow multigrain too. Good size portions and a big menu. Ill come me back for more.

I ve been wanting to try this local spot for a while. I m glad I came in! I loved the coffee because it has some cinnamon or spices in. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, too. The breakfast scramble was great with sausage and potatoes. Great salsa, too. The food is homemade and service is very friendly. I think it s family run and feels great to eat there. I felt it was great value for the service and quality of food.
