What our fans are saying.....Best location in Seal Beach. In fact, the only place actually on the beach. Beautifully renovated. Only their second day in operation, but we had lots of attention from multiple people. We were curious about the Corn Rib appetizer so we ordered a plate to share. They were interesting, and tasty. Never had them before.
Looking forward to our next visit. Hoping they will add a happy hour.
Beautiful oceanfront property restaurant. I got there about 8:00 p.m. on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. I believe they're open till 10:00. There was a nice breeze blowing so it got a little cold but the servers quickly brought out some heating towers. The food wasn't too pricey considering the oceanfront location. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was well prepared and cooked. My only wish was that the menu had a little bit more variety. Anyone who likes outdoor dining on the ocean front should try this restaurant. They have a nice bar too.

Second visit: Happy Hour. 2 bears. 2 fish tacos. $21
First visit:
I am looking to enjoy places I visit. With multiple welcoming smiles as the sun broke through on a beautiful Sunday, I enjoyed my breakfast visit to Beach House.
Not having been here since rivers end departed, so pleased to have a great Eggs, bacon, toast breakfast. Finding a full bar, on behalf of review readers, I also savored a screwdriver. Only so I could report it well poured with my preferred Vodka (they asked).
Biggest surprise was thinking I need to bring my wife back for date night. There's just a vibe here telling me I need to look farther than breakfast.
Menus specific to meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Breakfast menu and drink menu in my photos.
Thanks to my server Heather, with the award winning smile training under Mel). Also the whole staff whom were friendly, smiling, and supporting each other. Clearly, a well managed place. Is that you Mel?

I was quickly seated with a nice view. I had the Calamari and the Ahi Poke Bowl. Both were very delicious dishes but lacked seasoning. The dressings provided made them taste great. My first time trying a Poke Bowl and I was not disappointed. It was also very affordable and a huge portion was given. This is a nice place to go on a sunny day. Will definitely come back!

Food was so on point. It was fresh and packed full 0f flavors π the only disappointing part was we had a reservation, which was given away multiple times. We ended up waiting 40 minutes past our reservation time. The hostess did make up for it with a bottle of champagne, which was very appreciated. The sunset was beautiful. I would definitely recommend stopping by this iconic location for any meal.

We have been dining here since this place opened doors about a year ago. We swing by here every other fortnight and love a quick bite with a drink. This is a neighborhood gem and Seal Beachβs best kept secret. Each of our past visit has been 5/5. Albeit in previous couple visits our food has consistently arrived before the drinks, which is not cool, and it is worse when the waiters see nothing wrong with that.
After dining here over 20 times, what prompted me to write a review is the stellar service by new waitress -Halin. She was friendly, patient as we ordered, and above all, made sure the drinks, appetizers and entre all arrived at well paced manner.
Highly recommended !!

Spent many a nice summer here as a child but it has changed for the better. The entire area. Good people. The Beach House is fantastic. A mini vacation from Los Angeles or where ever you are coming from. The location is ideal. No development around it except soft clean sand, waves and a well thought out parking lot and grassy area to set up your windsurfing gear. The food here is excellent. Not pretty good. Not A-OK. The fish n chips was better than any place I had while I lived in Seattle. Lived in London. Served just hot enough with a crispy outside, soft tender inside that went oh so so well with their fries. The salads we ordered were all gone as well, everyone ate every bite on those plates, because they were just excellent. Balanced flavor, good selection of greens. Even that vegan option my wife ordered was delicious. They have a good selection of Gins. My favorite drink. However, they have an open airy bar where you can smell the saltwater coming in, for those who prefer a cold beer or a glass of wine.
The service. It was so good. Friendly, super chill no attitude, yet making sure everyone was taken care of. Service I can only dream of getting in LA. Zero attitude! Must be the clean soft sand to walk on, the smell of saltwater, the good people of Seal Beach. Good vibes here. The live music was great. Country artist. I happen to love country and blues, soft rock during the Summer months, especially and they had a great artist performing. We can't wait to come back. Having lunch here, I heard the breakfast brunch at The Beach House is a must for next time, but we had such a relaxing mini vacation here, a long walk on the soft warm sand and getting the saltwater splashing up on the rocks and onto us in a perfect mist was priceless! Watching surfers catching waves, windsurfers getting air and talking to locals about the area was a joy. Good people here. Great food, service and atmosphere. Take a mini vacation to this place still quite unknown by many (opened 2 years ago) and cherish it with those you love, like or even if you want to chill have a glass of wine and read a book with a bite they have that option facing out onto the sand. Bathrooms were spotless, modern, easily accessible. Parking lot entrance and exit and layout is well thought out.
Enjoy your mini vacation at The Beach House @ Seal Beach.

Great atmosphere can t complain right on the sand but i got here for breakfast originally they told me it was going to be a 1 hour wait. Then when they finally called me to let me know my table was ready, they were no longer serving breakfast and i am livid about this because the greeter at the front could ve used better communication skills and let me know they would no longer be serving breakfast before i waited a hour to end up leaving. Won t be coming back to this place ever again don t care to even try the breakfast now Parking: Have to pay to park in there lot

The good to start; I want to say this place is actually really cute and a very good location on the sand. The bad, the food. Breakfast is one of the easiest meals any restaurant can make and probably the most profitable. So how the heck can someone F up eggs twice? They managed. Over medium eggs are not supposed to be raw! I ordered two egg breakfast and the eggs were undercooked with white slime everywhere. Told the server he brought me back two more eggs and they were worse, So I didnt accept them, I said no worries I dont need to eat eggs today. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito with ham and the burritos smell like fish. They obviously do not clean their grill after they make fish! Worst food Ive had in a long time. Will not be going back there. I had high hopes for this place and wanted to eat here. I see it when I go out and surf in front. Too bad.

Im writing this review now because it appears my moms review didnt get posted. This past March, my family and I visited for a late dinner to have one last celebration in honor of my grandma, who had passed away a few weeks prior. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the unfriendly behavior of the bartender. I was unhappy with my bourbon mule, which was overly sour due to the use of concentrated lime juice instead of fresh lime. When I mentioned this to the bartender, he responded in a snobby and rude manner, lecturing me on the drinks ingredients, which I was already familiar with. Despite my hope that he would remake the drink with fresh lime, he prepared it the same way again. When I expressed that his attitude seemed unnecessarily aggressive, he became defensive. My family also felt he was being rude and unaccommodating. To avoid further tension, I reluctantly drank the second mule and tried to focus on our meal and sharing memories of my grandma. As we were leaving, I admittedly made a passive-aggressive remark, saying, Thank you for being so nice. His response, See you next Tuesday, was shockingly unprofessional. Most people understand this phrase as an acronym for a highly offensive term. No matter the disagreement, resorting to such a derogatory comment, especially towards a woman, is completely unacceptable for a bartender or any restaurant employee.

I dont like to write bad and fierce reviews about a restaurant where I have eaten only once. I am on vacation in the area and I chose that restaurant because it has good reviews and above all because it has a menu with few dishes, a guarantee of a cuisine with fresh ingredients and chefs dedicated to giving the best of themselves. Tonight my wife and me have both had chicken piccata and I think it was the most horrible thing we were offered in a restaurant. Maybe even the waitress was aware of this and didnt dare to ask why we had left the plate. I believe that in a hospital you eat much better and in front of such a dish an ex-convict would regret the prison kitchen. Any fast food restaurant would be able to offer a better dish. The chicken just looked boiled without flavor. I suggest the chef to rename the dish so as not to create false expectations in customers, or at least to taste his creations sometime to avoid embarrassing situations that make you question his professionalism and offer a disgusting and unpleasant experience to their diners.

Management here is terrible. Never had such a hard time trying to give a place business. Tried to plan a big party for our engagement, called the restaurant, left several messages with the hosts, spoke to Rosie herself several times with the promise of her emailing us details. Finally, after a week and a half of trying to get ANY sort of information, we get her to send us an email to which she again decides to ignore any of our texts or emails. Whats the point of giving us your personal number if youre just going to continue Ignoring us. Weve had so many memorable dates here together and wouldve loved to have shared it with our close friends. Anyways, everyone else is pretty awesome. Rosie not so much. Edit Upon doing some research, Rosie seems to be one of the owners. What a shame Edit Since Ive been told I havent posted the story in its entirety. I was texted late afternoon yesterday staying that there have been internal problems. Not my problem. Couldve just lead with that instead of leading us on for a week and a half.

It is quite rare that I write a review after dining at any restaurant, however, Im going to this time. We are vacationing in Seal Beach and I had heard some good things about this place on social media so my wife, son,and grandkids decided to give it a shot. Overall it is a little stretch to say my food was mediocre at best. Corn chowder appetizer was somewhat bland but at least there was quite a bit of corn in it. I do eat out often and most restaurants will bring your salad after appetizer and well in advance of your entre.Salad was brought out with the entre and was bland . I ordered the 7 Oz. Filet Mignon medium rare. First, it didnt look much like any Filet Mignon Ive had in the past. Second, it was medium well done, difficult to cut even with a steak knife, and very difficult to chew. Even the A1 didnt help. I wound up giving half to my son who will eat anything. I would gladly have paid 10 or 15 bucks more to get a better quality steak. I didnt expect a Ruth Chris or Mortons quality steak but this was a real disappointment. I should have followed my wifes lead and got a burger, which she thoroughly enjoyed. If you have dinner here I would recommend that you avoid the steak.

The beach house owner Rosie, in her lease with the city of seal Beach, is responsible for both the accompanied adjacent restrooms and the foliage and both look terrible, when the previous unpretentious restaurant Rivers End existed I can say with all my heart things were in better shape MY SOURCES: THE LOCAL SUN NEWSPAPER LEASE NEGOTIATIONS TRANSCRIPTS The most appalling thing is that plans were submitted and approved by the city of seal Beach where the boundary of the seating area was pushed out a foot AT THE EXPENSE OF DESTROYING MY GOOD FRIENDS GRANDMOTHERS MEMORIAL THAT HAD A BRASS PLAQUE SND A HAND PAINTED TILE. NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO AT LEAST GIVE SHAUN HIS GRANDMOTHERS TITLE AS SHE IS DECEASED. SHAME SHAME SHAME, IVE LIVED IN SEAL 30 YEARS AND THIS ABHORRENT ACTION REPRESENTS A CALLOUS SHIFT FOR THIS PRETENTIOUS ESTABLISHMENT AND SEAL BEACH IN GENERAL. NOT TO MENTION....ROSIE, WHO BOUGHT TOOK OVER AND RENEGOTIATED THE LEASE, HAD ALSO TOOK OVER RUBYS AT THE END OF SEAL BEACH PIER............ IT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND THE WORD AMONGST US LONG TIME SEAL FOLKS IS, IT WAS BURNT DOWN FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES THEN THE MONEY WAS FUNNELED INTO THE BEACH HOUSE OF DECREPIT TOURISTS. All you must do is walk the perimeter of *beach house and you will see trash ie the napkins with the beach house name on it. ...WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE MEMORIAL, YOU MIGHT BE IMBUED WITH LAVISH DELUSIONS IN YOUR LITTLE TOURIST TRAP BUT WE WILL NOT FORGET NOR WILL WE FORGIVE THE DESTRUCTION OF 3 HISTORICAL AND MEMORIAL SITES

My spouse and I decided to rather for our 10 year anniversary. I had made reservations a few days in advanced which was a breeze. When we arrived, I informed the hostess we had a reservation for two people and she looked around outside. She spotted a table and took us to it. The table had three place settings and a reserved sign on it. She removed one of the place settings and the reserved sign and we sat to have our dinner. I had noticed a two top table inside the restaurant rather than on the patio and requested we move there because the table we were at was right by the two speakers mounted on the wall that was blaring music. Keep in mind, this was within a minute of us sitting down and before our server came over. I was told no we can t move anyone by the same hostess who sat us. It was clear to me she didn t even know where to put us in first place so it wasn t like we were supposed to be at a four top table. But I sucked it up and stayed at the table we were given as I could make it through. We had ordered the steak bites for an app. It took them a while to come out which was understandable because they were busy. It also appeared our server had more than a usual amount of tables to serve. When the steak bites came out, they were not as hot as they should have been and they were overcooked. Other than that, they were delicious. While waiting for our main course we had noticed some issues occurring with the staff. Some of the staff appeared to be angry with the hostess that sat us. They were even passing a cell phone around speaking to someone on it. The last person who was on that phone was the hostess who sat us. So I m. It sure if she knew what she was doing and was spoken to by a boss over the phone or what. Additionally, my spouse ordered the salmon which was supposed to come with mashed potatoes. Approximately 10-15 minutes before our entrees came out, one server approached another directly behind us and told that server that they were out of mashed potatoes. When our entrees came out, his had rice. No one had come him to see if he wanted something different, they just automatically gave him rice. When we asked our server about it, she said she could get him a baked potato. First of all, this should have been asked in the first place. Secondly, if you have baked potatoes , why don t you have mashed potatoes? In conclusion, the food was really good! Our server was doing her best and was pleasant, but appeared to be overworked. The staff seemed to be having an off day. But I would for sure come back here again.

Wow this place has it ALL - ambience, great food and attentive staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Seal Beach! We enjoyed our cocktails looking at the nice view.I was mortified with a few Karens that stormed in while we were chilling with our drinks. They were so belligerent and cussed up a storm because the sweet hostess told them they couldnt cut in line to sit in the bar. So uncool to harass the wait staff like they did.The waitstaff was professional and handled the situation like pros. Go check out this place, ambience cant be beat.We cant wait to come back!!! Shout out to manager (owner?) Frank and awesome waitress that served us!

Ate indoors with a party of six. The fish and chips were essentially fish themed bread sticks, pasta resembled some kind of soup, and everything was overpriced. Service was lethargic, waiting about 45 minutes from sitting down to receiving any kind of food and about 30 minutes waiting to receive the check. Atmosphere was loud, with musical sludge piped through speakers perfectly balanced so you can only hear the bass, faint strumming, and the suggestion of lyrics. Overall a disappointing experience for more than $30/person. Maybe the drinks are nice and the outdoor atmosphere is better if you dont mind the wind, but I dont think either of those would make the food worth it.

Great location, crowded recommendation reservations, very slow bar service. Came here for a couple cocktails and dinner. Very disappointed by the margarita and run banana run cocktails, especially with the amount of time the bartender put into producing them, honestly they were dive bar quality. My beach house Burger probably would have been great if I liked my meat rare, but I asked for a well done in this burger, and to me totally inedible. Our waitress Chanel was very nice and extremely apologetic about the quality of our meal, and was nice enough to offer us other options or some way to make it up, And is the only reason I rated the service is 4 stars Re-Xeroxed paper menus and worn and stained cushions, should have immediately tipped us off to Great location, lively atmosphere, but mediocre dining experience.

This was a simple request...or so we thought. We were greeted by a very sweet hostess and asked for a table in the shade as one of our party is dealing with skin cancer. ALL was going well until what we took as a server got aggressive with us saying the table he wanted us to sit at was fine. The top of the table was in the full sun, chairs were shaded with umbrella. Friend with skin cancer noted it was not fully shaded and asked to be seated at an empty table that was, well....thats where the aggressive server started to argue with her and wasnt going to seat us at the shaded table! Not sure what his issues are and dont care because if I had that attitude with paying customers where I work I would not have a job. Place is lovely, that one server or whatever he is, is rude and nasty. 4 of us walked out, their loss not ours.

The owner seems to have a lot of money. Its annoying rather than treating you as a guest, especially the guy at the bar. You have to pay a high parking fee to visit here and youll be treated like you dont open your umbrella in the hot sun

We were there this morning 5/31 for my sisters birthday breakfast. Chile cheese omelet, ABC omelet, blueberry pancakes, bacon and avocado toast with eggs. Coffee. Everything was wonderful. The service was exceptional and the ambiance perfect. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals. A suggestion on avocado toast mash up the avocado and then pile it on the toast, easier to scoop up. Thank You! We will be there for Lunch soon!

I was quickly seated by a nice host. I had came to dine-in alone during the last hour of happy hour . I was sitting there waiting for over 30min and not one waiter came to help me but I saw plenty other people who ve been seated after me had been helped. Don t know if it s because I was alone or because I m a darker than most who stop by lol . I had to wave down a server by the name of Lucas. Other than waiting to be served, i had a good time! Lucas was nice and quick with my order and very accommodating. The views are nice! I had the chicken piccata + it was amazing The calamari was ok. The drink I think was called sitting pretty in seal beach was decent. I will come back soon with my friends/family.

Great little place by the beach with live entertainment, drinks and food. I asked to speak to whomever is in charge of artists relations and never came around. I would have love bringing a few of my musical circle to entertain your clientele, but I guess it wasnt meant to be....!

Really good dishes and nice people serving us. Uncrowded on a Tuesday night. Would like to be there on Fridays to hear the live music. Views of the beach through the windows or sit out on the patio.

A hidden gem! Spectacular view of the beach, and outstanding service by the staff. The food was good, especially the skillet cornbread. We ordered the Loco Moco too - it was slightly dry, and needed more gravy. We ll order it again with extra gravy next time. Overall, a good meal. Vegetarian options: Vegan Cauliflower Ceviche. Other items may be ordered without meat. Parking: Limited number of handicap parking spots close to the venue. Wheelchair accessibility: With her rollator walker, Mom was able to navigate through the patio and restrooms easily. No steps from parking lot to venue.

I was lucky enough to make it here twice during my visit. Bri was my server both times and she definitely helped boost the entire experience! She had great recommendations, worked very productively and made me feel right at home! As for the food, everything was on point! I had happy hour snacks plus a steak dinner and everything was consistently delicious! Definitely try the teriyaki skewer on the happy hour menu! The atmosphere is also a major plus! I enjoyed the views, sunshine, delicious food, good company and even live music on Friday! I can t wait to return (:

WARNING: THE PARKING LOT IS NOT FREE Came here to warn everyone. I did not notice any pay to park signs on the way in or the way out, but did notice the parking ticket on my windshield after I drove away. BUMMER! The people at the table next to us also got a ticket. My friends and I shared a whole bunch of appetizers. The cornbread was absolutely the best item. The guacamole tasted like they forgot the salt. Parking: need to pay!!!

Always wanted to come here to check the place out. Came to see a sunset and had dinner with my drinks. The food menu is limited, but the offerings are tasty and an appropriate portion. The service that we had was from Brigitte was amazing. She came to make sure that we had everything we needed and even offered some suggestions on their most popular dishes and drinks. The place is small with the patio easily double the seating of the inside. Parking is part of a paid lot and on a windy days stay away from the service door to the patio. Parking: No street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Available

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Beach House Restaurant in Seal Beach, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a breathtaking view of the ocean that instantly set the tone for a memorable evening. The ambiance at the Beach House is simply unparalleled. With tables overlooking the waves, its the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxing meal with friends and family. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore created a soothing soundtrack to our dining experience. Now, lets talk about the food. The menu offers a diverse range of options, and I must say, everything we ordered was a culinary masterpiece. The fresh seafood was a highlight, and their sushi was a real treat for the taste buds. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was a work of art. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and they were more than happy to accommodate special dietary requests. Our server had an extensive knowledge of the menu and provided excellent recommendations, which made our dining choices even more enjoyable. As the sun began to set, we couldnt help but appreciate the magical atmosphere that the Beach House Restaurant offers. Its a place where time seems to slow down, and you can savor every moment. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Seal Beach. In summary, the Beach House Restaurant in Seal Beach offers a perfect blend of exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a breathtaking setting. Its a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and indulge in a true seaside dining adventure. I cant wait to return for another unforgettable meal by the ocean.

Incredible! First, the location is unbeatable. Right on the sand and yards from the water Then, the staff is friendly and positive. From the busser to the owner, the entire team makes you feel appreciated. Finally, our breakfast was so delicious. My wife says her avocado toast was the best shes ever had. And my ABC omelet was topped with plenty of cheese and avocado. And the breakfast potatoes were perfectly fine. Prices were reasonable for a place on the beach. Overall, a great place to enjoy breakfast with views.

I hate to do this but I feel it is necessary. If someone would have come to ask me how everything was, I would not post the following however no one ever came to ask how everything was. We have been here for 3 hours, we waited 30 minutes for our first drink, had to ask for silverware when our food was delivered and had to bus our own table. If we werent sitting on the corner of the beach, I would never ever come back here again. Im a sucker for the location but Im sure there are other spots that take care of their customers better and have a great location as well.

The patio ocean views are spectacular, the food is utterly delicious, and the service great. One of the proprietors Frank, was great conversation, funny, charming, offered a great history of Seal Beach, Catalina Island and his property. He went above and beyond by giving us complimentary creme brulee for dessert. The experience was superb and one I will put into my perfect lifes moments memory bank. Thank you Frank.

We went for dinner - probably better for lunch as the scenery is awesome - really unfortunate that one needs to pay for parking at night - city should look into that as the restaurant sales must be really effected But food was awesome - especially the oysters Parking: City should help at night as there is sooo much parking and to charge customers seems unfair to the restaurant

We went for dessert happy to try out the place. Atmosphere and location are great, staff is friendly. Unfortunately you have to pay $4 for parking which started off poor. City needs to change that. We had the chocolate volcano with ice cream but the cake batter wasn t cooked at all. It tasted good but it would have been better if it were baked. The cheesecake was dry. Perhaps the sinkhole caused a plumbing issue because the water was salty. I had the busboy replace it but it was still the same. I hope it s better next time we go. Seal Beach needs to support them with free parking for first 90 minutes or something.

Overall, this is a great place for ambience and location. The service that I received was excellent. The atmosphere is very good. There was no entertainment at the time of my visit. I really did enjoy going to this location. A very positive shout out I need to give to my server. He was very open to hearing my comments on the food, and definitely made note of what I pointed out and told me that he was going to bring it up to management. Having said that, let s talk about the food. I ordered two appetizers and two beers. The calamari and the mushroom soup. I expect to pay a premium at a location like this right on the sand, as I know the overhead is expensive. I also know that if you place something on a menu in a location like this, you should be giving a strong quality product to attract a return clientele. The calamari came out and it was saturated with a fair amount of oil. Not the type of oil you add flavor with, but just oil that it was fried in. The calamari itself tasted OK but there was absolutely nothing exceptional or special about it. I would compare it to a bag of frozen calamari you can get at any grocery store. The mushroom soup was watery, It did have flavor, but if you re going to serve a mushroom soup and it is not an Asian-based soup which can be very delicious. Then a mushroom soup usually has a cream base by any cooking standards. This one did not, it was thin on density with a watery like consistency. At the end of the day, based on what this restaurant is, and what I believe they re going for, I think they missed the mark on both of these appetizers. I looked around at some of the other plated items that people were ordering around me. I listened to what people were saying and overall I came up with the opinion that the food was good, but could ve been improved definitely. There were other items I saw that food did look to the standards of the restaurants vision as far as entrΓ©es go. So, my overall review is that this is a really nice place for a scenic sitting, but if you are going to be eating, the food can be raised a few marks. The price on the drinks is going to be a little higher than your average beer or cocktail. I will return to this establishment, if only for the atmosphere and drinks, if I find myself in the area. At this point, the beach house does not make me want to go out of my way as you can eat at many places along the coast that will give you better marks in all of the above categories.

another place I had dropped off riders as an Uber driver which made me interested enough to star it for later discovery.. That day came Christmas Eve when we planned to see the lights on Naples and stopped in for dinner where we had the place essentially to ourselves aside from a couple other small parties place is on the beach, with no real neighbors, and a fairly unique setup given the sand on the doorstep. staff were welcoming, food was tasty, and while the prices were of course high, as is any place these days, especially one with location, they didn t feel too egregious. definitely a spot to check out if you re in the neighborhood and haven t yet.
