Bogart's Coffee House

This place is awesome for allowing people to use their bathroom without purchasing anything. Our family members have disabilities and it’s extremely challenging trying to find a place with an accessible facility while visiting this area. The staff is friendly and interacting with all the patrons. Many people were just sitting and talking while enjoying their drinks and food. The bathroom has some storage in it but it was clean. When returning to this area, we will definitely spend time in this location and enjoy the wonderful and friendly staff.

Food is absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh! Their shop is right next to the beach, so the view/ambiance is delightful! They have lots of cute merch available, so I will have to go back to get their “wicked plum” herbal tea again and a tote bag! Their baristas are super friendly and helpful! Loved their committed and kind service. Give this place a try! It’s affordable with high quality products and probably one of my favorite spaces. So thoughtful and excellent all around! It is small and gets full up quickly, so get there early if you want pastries or to grab a table!

If you're looking to buy some shaved ice after a day at the beach, this is definitely the best place to visit to cool off with a nice dessert & drink.
The place itself is very clean, fits the theme. The service the workers there serve are great, usually wait about 2-3 minutes in line, about less than 5 minutes for your order.
I also highly recommend the coffee milkshake.

I really like going to Bogart’s Coffee House because they great merchandise, great drinks, and they have entertainment. I got the Mango Smoothie and it taste so good. I also bought some of there merchandise. My friend and I came her because after we went to the Star Party that was being held across from the coffee house.

I've visited Bogarts sometimes and it was great. Every staff member there is so friendly and the iced drinks and pastries/snacks are awesome too. My favorite snacks/pastries are the Hawaiian shaved ice, muffins, and crepes.
I had an especially wonderful experience there on Sunday.

We ordered a savory crepe, with pesto, mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and spinach. Actually one of the best savory crepes Also ordered an iced vanilla latte, which was a little on the sweet side. Service was friendly.

Great place to get a lot of items, and I have had plenty of good memories here since 2004. The reason for the 3 star is the last 2 months. I have been coming here weekly, and the shots being pulled have not been great. Today, I got a double espresso and was thoroughly disappointed. Was pulled very poorly. The barista was not watching at all, and there was no creme. Taste was very burnt and couldnt even drink it. Please, please, please do more training and check your portafilters because I would hate to see such an iconic spot go downhill.

Came in to get an espresso but almost got a shaved ice because I wasnt sure what to combine. The owner asked me why I changed my mind and she took the time to help me make a great decision. She added a cubano shot of espresso with 2 raw sugars, Cinnabon flavor and almond milk added to my espresso. It was so delicious best coffee Ive had. Thank you for taking the time to craft the perfect drink for me. Great service! I will definitely be coming back.

Cute little coffee shop right on Seal Beach. A good place to study, get some work done, or just hang out. I m sad I wasn t hungry, because the baked goods looked delicious. The barista was really nice and makes a mean triple shot vanilla latte! All other lattes on my vacation were judged by this one, but Bogart s came out on top!

I enjoyed an ice coffee every morning with either an açaí bowl or a bagel with cream cheese. Perfect place to work remotely on a laptop and people watch! You can see pedestrians walking to and from from the pier right at the cafe. The cafe has a great view, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and provides daily morning LA newspapers. They are dog friendly!

Poor lady was working alone during a rush when we got there, so service was understandably slow, but she was not rude or flustered. Acai bowl is so good! Shave ice, not so much. Seemed like a lot of the chairs in the dining area are falling apart and on their last legs

The honey lavender latte is very good, and generally I like coming here. But today was terrible service. After waiting 10 minutes for all the crepe making and snowcone making , the girl apologizes for the wait and takes my order. Then came the very long additional wait for all the coffee back orders due to the food preparation orders that had to be made . Why my review is so low is this: The girl continued to take orders and give people coffees , muffins, and any other quicker drink while I continued to sit there. When I told her that she should make the orders that came in ahead of the others, like mine, , she said, Well, some of them are quicker. What in the world does that mean? Perhaps I should wait all day until she feels that my order should be made. The people in back of me didn t wait at all, despite the fact that I waited for a crepe to be made before she would take my order. The other thing that was disappointing is that they allow the homeless to take up tables and chairs and not order anything. It s a small place, so all of this combined- unacceptable!!!! I will not be coming back!!!

So Ive just finished my visits to California and while I was there decided to visit bogarts coffee shop and while the coffee isnt horrible it could definitely use a lil more flavor and honestly the service leaves something to be desired. The staff was kind of stand offish and the owners of the establishment care more about making money then making sure customers are satisfied. Was a disappointment after all the hype I heard. Id rather go to 711 for my coffee. Hopefully bud and Joanne can acquire some hospitality tips from other local shops..

Not a lot of seating during busy times, especially since its right on the beach. Matcha is not very good Edit: I have gone back and tried it again. The matcha isnt bad, but its not very strong and there are pieces at the bottom where its not been mixed well, so the flavor is more of the milk.

Chose Bogart s over another coffee shop further up the street because they offer a few Monin syrup flavors. Monin is superior in flavor and quality to Torani syrups. Quaint little coffee shop with a beautiful beach view. Love the aesthetic inside with all their artwork and decor. Decent amount of seating inside and they also have seating outside. With plenty of drink options available I m sure they ll have one that will suit your craving. Ordered two coffees and they didn t disappoint. Flavors were good and the order was correct. They have pretty cool swag and nick-nacks for sale too. Had to knock a few stars off for service tho. The younger lady that was taking care of our order couldn t be bothered. Walked up to the counter without so much as a Hi with her head stuck to her phone on Instagram. We stood there for a few minutes while we looked at the menu. We had questions and had to get her attention for the answers. Questions were answered very plainly and bluntly with her returning to her phone or her personal cup of coffee in between them. Hopefully she was just having a bad and this isn t typical for Bogart s because it truly seems like it would be a fantastic place to be overall.

I love this coffee shop! It is so chill and overlooks Seal Beach. The staff are awesome and they have comfy arm chairs and some tables that I like to study at. One of my experiences has been getting coffee early in the morning and sit in the cool air looking at the beautiful beach.

The entertainment that they host in front of the door establishment and sponsor outside on the grassy field is top notch which mirrors the quality of food bakers and service of Bogarts coffeehouse. You like shaved ice they have it. Do you like crêpes they will make it for you. Outstanding service outstanding owners and fun funky little gifts you can buy as well over the counter. Thanks to Bogarts and all their entertainment and highlighting the talent of the musicians that live adjacent to seal Beach I think you bravo!

It is a nice place to try crepes. Really tasty savory crepes. Good coffee. There is a green grass area across the street with a view on the ocean. You can set up your chairs or a blanket to enjoy food on fresh air. There are a couple of trees as well to hide from sun. You can buy really fun dog theme tshirts inside. Girls on the counter were very attentive and helpful.

Barista forgot order and made me feel like I had been ignored when I approached the counter to inquire. Didnt even remember my single drink order. Only a party of three on a single order preceded me. This all happened in a time span of 5 minutes. Guess I barely exist. At least the latte tasted fine.

This is such a nice coffee house. We recently started going to Seal beach and have been to this coffee house 3x already. Staff have been so nice and well mannered, theyre great! My daughter got a hot chocolate and she loved it. It was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie is good as well. I usually go and get my coffee at Bogart during the week, and the staff is just great. But today, I had the worst experience ever at bogart coffee house. Around 3pm on a sunny Saturday I decided to get a nice coffee, but the brunette who was working there was the coldest and unhappy person Ive seen working there. I really hope she learns from that and go and work somewhere else. Bogart Coffee House deserves better and their customers too.

What is better than lattes? Lattes made with organic coffee beans. Our usual is medium latte with whole milk, 1 pump of hazelnut for him. and 1 pump of vanilla for her. Husband and I love to come here for a quick coffee date and stroll on the pier. The coffee house is right across the street from Seal Beach pier. Perfect way to enjoy a cup of joe and catch some fresh ocean breeze. Service is fairly timely as there usually is only one person running the shop up front, at least when we show up. Today, husband was eyeing the cinnamon roll in the case. So we had that with our lattes. It was really good. Much healthier than your usual cinnamon roll. this one is less sweet and with way less icing. What we both prefer. Paired very well with our lattes. Come and support your local businesses. They need us as much as we need them.

It is fall, and to some of us that means pumpkin everything. My barista made me a delicious pumpkin spice latte with an extra shot of espresso and went to a little trouble to make sure it still tasted like pumpkin over the taste of the coffee. I did not even ask her to do this but it was precisely what I would have requested had it been thinking of asking. It was perfect.

Nice little coffee shop close by Seal Beach pier. Great coffee and very friendly service. They going their way out to make your drink the way you wanted. Coffee and a enjoyable walk on the pier a must thing to do.

This place has a long reputation of hiring high schoolers to work behind the counter- which would be fine if they had the training or experience to handle a rush. I felt bad at how overwhelmed they seemed- even though their friend leaning over the counter to show them funny pictures on his phone probably wasnt helping. By the time I got my acai bowl it was soup, and numerous other patrons were also asking why their orders were taking so long. Bogarts coffee and food arent bad, but for prime beach pricing their staff definitely need more training; neither of the teenagers there were in full uniform, and I have concerns about whether they were actually trained in food safety and preparation.
