I am not sure what happened to customer service at this location. I was appalled with the service tonight. I was there with ten friends. We arrived about 9:30pm and ordered coffees, teas and bottled waters. We also tipped generously. We gathered some chairs and a small table to enjoy our drinks. At about 9:35pm, one of the employees started bringing in the outdoor chairs and tables from the outside patio next to where we were seated inside. She placed them very close to where we were seated almost closing in on us as if we were in her way. At 9:50pm, she informed us that the store was closing at 10pm. Promptly at 10pm, we put some of the chairs away to their original location, then she asked us to also put away the table. First off, we did not have to put ANY chairs away - we do not work there. Then, she tells us to put the table away too, which we did, but we were shocked that she expected us to help put the store back in order and furniture in original position. I told the two female workers that it is inappropriate and disrespectful to tell customers to put furniture away and I would be writing a google review about our experience here tonight. If you have employees that have a sense of entitlement and horrible customer service, it will be a detriment to your business. I hope they learned from this experience today. Truly disrespectful and no consideration for customers who help bring in business.

Great location and coffee. There are lots of coffee shops around the area, but find this place the most convenient. Very comfortable seating inside and outside. Clean bathrooms . There are lots of options for coffee and very close to pier. Ice cream and pizza are just right next door. Coffee here was delicious and able to accommodate my wife with decaf and sugar-free options as well as dairy free. Pastries available for those looking for muffins and other items. Parking: Parking lot just cross the street. Kid-friendliness: Kids can get pastries or other drinks without caffeine. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.

Went here on Monday morning and got an iced tea, the drink was good but the worker who helped me (short, brunette) had such an attitude and gave me dirty looks. They should really hire more friendly people bc it just seemed like that girl hated her job and me for being a customer.

Its a charming little coffee shop along Main Street flocked by locals and occasional tourists. Its only a few blocks from the beach, and its a perfect place to get your morning caffeine fix. I ordered a matcha latte just to try. It wasnt my cup of tea, so Ill try something else next time. They have a nice seating area indoor or outdoors. Its suitable for a quick breakfast meeting, meet up with colleagues, etc. They have pastry selections you can choose from. They also have a restroom, which is a plus. Its also a dog friendly establishment, so your fury friends are very much welcome inside. I dont think they have dedicated parking spaces. Theres ample street parking early morning so it shouldnt be a problem. I will definitely visit them again. Parking: Street parking

The only issue is their door opens the wrong way so if you have 2 coffees in your hand, you can t open the door. Not so great. Extremely dull coffee. Go to McDonalds instead, really, or Colossus on 2nd street with excellent coffee and real pastries. When I mentioned how weak the coffee tasted, like water with a lil coffee, there was no response and no care. As if I was not human and it did not matter. Amazing how a place gladly takes your $$$, totally under delivers and could care less about how a patron feels. No pride whatsoever in the craft of brewing. The quality of the beans are not up to par. Pastries taste underwhelming & generic. They look good, but not what a pastry should be. Place is not maintained, a tourist trap. Bathroom is filthy.

Huge disappointment! Went there a couple of days ago, and here are my thoughts: 1. Coffee: Beans were over-roasted. Too dark. Could taste more the burnt than the actual coffee. 2. Chocolate Croissant: was old, possibly more than a day old. There was no crunchiness at all. In fact it was dry, brittle and hard. 3. Avocado Toast: Just a plain piece of bread with a thin layer of avocado spread on top. It was dry and tasted terrible! My entire order went to the trash right after the first try, then we went to the cafe just down the street and were able to get great service with more than decent coffee+pastries+fresh fruit. Dont waste your time and just walk down a block and save your frustration!

Review №99

I came into the coffee shop (located at 148 Main St, Seal Beach, CA 90740) around 10:30am on Saturday June 4th and ordered a decaf ice coffee with almond milk and one pump of sugar free vanilla. The girl at the register informed me that they didnt have ice decaf. I asked if she could just pour the hot over ice and she said yes as long as I was ok with it being a little watery I said not a problem. I over heard the guy making my coffee tell her (but never bothered to say anything to me) that he couldnt make decaf ice coffee even though the girl/cashier told him i was ok with just pouring it over ice. He then made my coffee with regular coffee not decaf and preceded to add FIVE pumps of SF Vanilla and didnt add almond milk. When he gave me my coffee I nicely asked him how many pumps he used and he said 5, I told him I asked for 1 he said well Ive already put it in there and I cant remake it so I asked for my money back. At the register the girl once again was very nice and I asked for the manager who happened to be standing right there, I explained the situation (even though he saw and heard me the whole thing) has I was explaining the guy who made my coffee begins to talk over me raising his voice at me (with a coffee shop full of customers) the manager lets him continue to talk to me that way and never asked him to stop or apologize for my experience. I told him if the drink couldnt be made he could of just said something to me and I would of ordered somwthing else, not make my drink completely wrong. Decaf or not I asked for 1 pump NOT 5, I asked for almond milk (he didnt put any milk) and I asked for DECAF not regular. I asked to have my drink made that way because I am clearly pregnant, had I not noticed and drank that coffee not only could me/my baby have been in danger but your shop could of been in a lot of trouble. Some people order drinks, food, etc a certain way for a reason and its not up to you to make it how you want it.

We were visiting Seal Beach and needed to kick the day off with a latte. We found Javatinis via the yelp... Javatinis is a local coffee house and was packed with locals during our visit. The crew was friendly and everyone working behind the counter worked with a professional sense of urgency. The Javatinis team was cranking out drinks out quickly as the crowds kept coming. We both had a breakfast sandwich and it was fresher and tastier than the ones youd find at Starbucks. My large latte was quality and was exactly what I needed to start the day. If youre looking for a quick caffeine fix on Main Street in Seal Beach, Javatinis has you covered. Service and the quality coffee drinks makes for an easy and pleasant visit. Cheers!
