Loved our dinner here -- felt like a honeymoon to Greece. Enjoyed the hospitality and eating on the waterfront. We ordered the lemon chicken rice soup and the lentil soup -- both were flavorful and so comforting as if I had received a mother's embrace (we were both feeling the beginning of a cold). I had the kid's gyro with a side salad and tea. My husband had a side of falafel. We ended the feast with a shared baklava. I loved that you can taste the homemade love cooked into each bite. My husband had a glass of Syrah. Will have to return to finish trying everything else. What a delicious waterfront gem!!!

It's cozy here with a nice little water scene with sail boats at the dock. The service was great amazing we had a party of 10 and I wish I remembered her name but she did great. Nice choice in wine. The food all looked and taste great. I had the lamb stew and loved it. My buddy's that went had great portions the fries was delicious. This would be a place I would go often if I could. The gluten free almond cake was good as well as the other desserts. Very relaxing and just a good time to spend with loved ones here. The one thing I wish I would of tried was the combo appetizer.

We chanced upon this Greek restaurant and was thrilled with the experience.

The food was delicious, every dish that we ordered was to perfection. Although all was good, the favorites were moussaka and lamb stew.

Pricing is good for the quality of the food.

What made the whole experience top notch was the service and friendliness of the staff and especially the owner. We felt very special and attended.

We will definitely visit here again.

First time at the Athenian Grill and it was really good! It's been newly renovated and is very nicely done. The bathrooms are clean and modern and the patio area with the view of the water and boats is nice. The food was generous and fresh. Lentils were cooked perfectly as a side to my chicken pita sandwich. French fries with the Lamb pita sandwich and hamburger were just perfect. We got there at opening time but didn't have to wait very long for our meal (probably 15 mins). The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was worth the price!

This is a cute waterfront place. We loved the fresh breeze on the patio when they lifted the doors. The hummus was really delicious and had excellent flavor. The fries were yummy too. The salmon was very dry. I would not recommend it. The Greek salad had no beets. Others in our group loved the falafel.

Went to the Athenian Grill after talking to some Greek people who said this place was the bomb. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was so very nice clean and pleasant minute we walked in the door we were greeted. We used to get it a couple times a month but ever since the fire they have been charging ridiculously crazy prices for smaller portions and as much as Id love to help a local business i will not ever be back until they realize they are ripping people off and lower prices back down...

Athenian has such a great selection of food and is always tasty. The staff is wonderful as is the owner. They care about your experience. Make sure to try their onion rings and French fires. Their Greek salad I m my all time favorite. Thank you so much for creating tasty food and fabulous patio environment.

This place is such a little hidden gem. We were walking around looking for a decent place to have some appetizers and drinks and stumbled upon this restaurant. We got to sit outside which is shaded with beautiful views of the water. The hummus was to die for, you have to try it and the sever was very attentive. Overall amazing food and service and atmosphere. We will definitely visit again!

My fav Greek food. I.love the avolemono soup(chicken, rice,lemon), and Greek salad with feta and almanac olives. I order grilled shrimp along with this meal, add the pitas and it is so yummy. Nice people. Pretty location.

Its cozy here with a nice little water scene with sail boats at the dock. The service was great amazing we had a party of 10 and I wish I remembered her name but she did great. Nice choice in wine. Prices are expensive and the portions are alittle small compared to other places. $23.00 FOR A PASTRAMI SANDWICH AND ORDER OF FRIES IS NOT THE BIGGEST OR TASTIEST. The restaurant has remodeled and looks great! The food as always is fantastic. I order the pastrami sandwich with onion rings. The pastrami is heaped onto a soft roll. It may not be Katz Deli pastrami, but its pretty damn good. The onion rings are battered and cooked to perfection.

The gyro was tasty especially the tzatziki sauce. meat was too chunky but still pretty tasty as well as the bread! Amazing place, great service!

Ive been eating at this restaurant over twenty-five years. I am very familiar with the food and absolutely love it. The atmosphere is great, especially when they have special nights with dancers. The food is fantastic although high priced. Its built along the marina, so there is an amazing view of the boats or a nice stroll after a full belly of food and a sweet Baklava-Yum! The owner Shelly is a gem and does an amazing job! If youre looking for authentic Greek food, this is a lovely place to eat. Parking: Parking is on the waterfront with the boats and several other shops. Therefore, parking is limited, but you can also park on the street. Wheelchair accessibility: It has standard wheelchair accessibility.

The food was excellent, however there was not enough staff to cover the number of customers. The wait staff was working very hard but more staff was needed. Well for sure eat there again to have their wonderful pastrami sandwich.

Food is pretty decent, but nothing to rave about. But the service, wow the service was terrible! Took forever for my server to even come to my table to get a drink order or anything (mind you they were not busy, saw who ended up being my server chatting with another gal behind the counter). Once my order was taken food arrived in acceptable time, but my drink was constantly empty, finally the hostess realized this and came over to offer a refill (my server was once again behind the counter carrying on a conversation). Good food can make a restaurant but terrible service can def break it. I will not be returning or recommending this place. To the restaurant owners, please train your staff in better attentiveness and hospitality your ambiance is good, you have great views, and decent food, but your staff is dragging this place down name on my receipt said Rebecca J if that means anything.

The portions were decent, and the food was good although nothing out of the ordinary. We went on Friday afternoon and despite having made a reservation for patio seating, we were told that the patio wouldn t be available for another 20-25min. To be fair, we arrived 10min past our reservation time, so we ended up seating indoors. Also, we saw other people who arrived after us getting their orders before anyone came to take ours. So, service wise, it doesn t seem to be well organized. We ordered two plates. One was a gyro plate and the other was one with potatoes and eggplant, I can t recall the name. No drinks or dessert, and our bill came out to $57 which I think it s kind of expensive for what we ordered. The surrounding seems nice as the restaurant seats by the water. Parking wasn t much of an issue although you may have to park on the street like we did. It was an average experience, and we will probably not be coming back.

(I hadn t been since the fire) The Athenian Grill has really stepped it up. The quality of the food is just as delicious as I remember, and now the location matches that. They ve taken away the bottles of ketchup and now it s served in stainless steel containers. The outside patio is amazing and the inside got a facelift. Great time.

As a first time visitor to the Athenian Grill , I was first impressed with their menu and then I had the pleasure of enjoying their EXCELLENT cuisine, and a level of service that was so good it had my family talking about dinner the whole way home. Great food, wonderful customer service, good view. Been eating there for decades and have always gotten quality food, in great quantities. The lamb dishes are wonderful, as are any of the other Greek offerings. What is really nice is the non-Greek food offerings such as their burger and fries are delicious also. Parking can be a little difficult at peak times. Its always available but you might need to walk a block or so.

Yesterday was my familys first experience with Athena Grill and I have to say..What an impression it made!! First a small back story then my review. I am 95% Armenian 5% Greek which, according to my Greek side makes me Greek! I LOVE the foods of my people and am picky to a fault! Now to review.. Walking in already had me hooked! The smell was like walking into my Greek Nonas home (Godmother) I already scoped the menu so I knew my sites were set on one thing! The bright white and blue and being on the waterfront was a lovely setting and my 12 year old usually wild child was enthralled by the beauty of the water and boats! He even remembered his manners to the lovely staff and used a napkin like a human! Now for the best part.. The food!!! I had just talked to my husband about Pastitcio for a WEEK and here after a long day of house hunting we stumbled on this gem! Pastitcio for me and a beautiful bowl of avgolemono (chicken soup!) My heathen husband and son had bacon cheeseburgers and fries, although AMAZING, who does that? You dont travel to Greece for a stadium hot dog! Lol! Now my beautiful pastitcio arrived, portioned with some seriously delicious green peas! My first bite into the pastitcio I seriously almost cried! My Godparents almost 30 years gone, and Greek couldnt have done better! It was like my Nonas hands made that food with her love and care! I really felt the love in this food and cant wait to go back! I also want to thank Shelly who I had the pleasure of meeting for her warmth and time! 10/10 100/100 Check them out.. Just dont be a heathen like my guys and your first visit get Bacon cheeseburgers! (Second visit maybe, and incidentally, fries were DELICIOUS!)

Fantastic food,courteous staff great atmosphere. Outdoor patio dining provides for a relaxing dinner. Great meals for vegetarians. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian mezzetakia is a great meal for non meat eaters. A little bit of everything, except meat. The restaurant also has a meat alternative mezetakia. The salads are wonderful. The view is wonderful, the food is great, service is quick and the staff is friendly and efficient. We Love this restaurant. The owner is usually there to greet customers. The building rebuild looks great. The previously open outdoor seating is now enclosed with roll up garage style doors. Looks very nice The menu no longer carries items they used to. The swordfish is a noteable causality. The food we had tasted good. My friend had the salmon on rice with a veggie skewer. The salmon portion was tiny for the price.

Its our first time in this restaurant and were glad we visited and had our healthy lunch. Were glad we met the owner introduced herself and we enjoyed the free desert she had given us.. I definitely will come back to eat here with my family and friends.. Relaxing and less noise to dine in. They dont rush you even its closing time .Staff and the owner works together as a team.. My daughter and I dined there in July 2022 since we were staying in nearby Fairfield for the night. The ambience and decor were very nice. Staff was friendly (although our waitress wasnt that attentive). My daughter was only OK with the Souvlaki Plate but I found the Pastitso to be DELICIOUS! My lentil soup was very tasty and my daughters Avgolemeno Soup was AMAZING. I also had the iced tea which tasted fresh-brewed (always a good thing in my book!). The reason I said our waitress wasnt very attentive was because we waited over half an hour for our food and it all came at once (soup included). This may be the way Greek food is done (I dont know) which Im fine with, but our worried/hungry looks shouldve at least prompted her to come over and reassure us that our food was on its way. Once we had ordered, she didnt come and check on us again until the food was delivered...not even for our drinks. Also, be careful in the area. Although there is a lovely waterfront park/path right outside, there were some people nearby who made us a little concerned for our safety.

Husband and I came here for lunch, we started off with the Tzatziki ($8.99) which came with warm pita and tzatziki, I wish there was some mint in it but it was delicious otherwise. We also got Souvlaki Plate ($21.99 - $23.99) with beef with a side of soup, avgolemono, which was delicious! As well as the Souvlaki pita sandwich ($12.99) with a side of soup. The waitress was very attentive, and even the owner of this restaurant came to say hello to us and told us the story behind the restaurant and how it burned down and got renovated on the inside.

In the past I have enjoyed the Athenian grill but since the pandemic things have changed. The restaurant interior has been nicely updated, the menu has changed and so has the prices. The staff is friendly and the level of cleanliness remains high. I will continue to frequent Athenian grill in hopes that it will find its balance between quality and affordability.

Very friendly staff. The food always very good and big portions. Not everything is Greek, so if your not into gyros you can still have some good food. Try the onion rings. Parking: Plenty of parking

Great little Mediterranean restaurant right on the Suisun waterfront. We had the fried zucchini with tzatziki sauce, falafel plate and the fish and chips. All was delicious. The fish was sooo amazing, it melted in your mouth. Highly recommend. Be patient with service as they are short staffed.

First time at the Athenian Grill and it was really good! Its been newly renovated and is very nicely done. The bathrooms are clean and modern and the patio area with the view of the water and boats is nice. The food was generous and fresh. Lentils were cooked perfectly as a side to my chicken pita sandwich. French fries with the Lamb pita sandwich and hamburger were just perfect. We got there at opening time but didnt have to wait very long for our meal (probably 15 mins). The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was worth the price!

Were so happy The Athenian Grill reopened after the fire and the pandemic. Their presence was missed and we were elated to hear of the re-opening. The menu has changed very little and its just as tasty as ever. The pastitsio is my all time favorite. Highly recommend you give them a try.
