**PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW CAREFULLY. IT'S LONG**

What a disgrace. The visit to this location was an eye-opener for my wife and I, for many reasons. This review will cover several things. Pay close attention:

- Customer Service
- Cleanliness/Quality
- Pricing

Let's begin with pricing.

Prices have obviously changed and most meals are no longer affordable for many families. What used to be $10.99, is now $17.99. What used to be $12, is now $22. It's no surprise since California raised the minimum wage, sure. But are these prices worth what we're getting in return? Most likely, not. An average cost for a couple like us would've been between $44 to $50. On this visit we spent... $0. I'll explain what happened at the end of the review.

- Cleanliness/Quality

First thing we saw when walking in to this location was just how disgusting the floors looked - dirty, filthy carpets.

When we were sat down, the tables were sticky and gross as if they are using dirty unwashed rags to clean it... IF they even cleaned it. Under the table I stepped on random trash that was not picked up. The quality of their cleaning is poor. The quality of their overall presentation of care no longer exists. This is pretty much the standard in most locations, unfortunately.

- Customer Service

And now we come to the main problem... their customer service.

At $20 dollars an hour, it seems like everywhere you go nowadays customer service got worse rather than better. IHOP seems to be hopping on that bad-customer-service train, and they don't want to be left behind. Well, great job. You're there.

The first girl walks us in and sat us down. There, her job should've been to take our drink order and tell the waitress she sat us down and she's getting our drinks. That should've been what needed to happen. It did not.

We sat for about 5 minutes and the waitress came over to the people sitting behind us to give them their bill. She walked away as if she saw nothing but ghosts (apparently) because we were ignored. She left, and she never came back.

7 minutes later, now 13 minutes sitting, we still have no drinks, nor a "Hello" or a look from her our way. At this point, my wife and I both decided to leave the restaurant, never to return again.

- FINAL THOUGHTS

Though it was a terrible experience, we thank them for showing us that we can leave and save money and not pay for a terrible experience. We went to our local VONS and spent $27 dollars and had a MUCH better meal, cleaner, and even have more food for about 3 days than spending $45/$50 on people that don't even care about their jobs. Here are my suggestions for the restaurant owners and their employees.

- OWNER/S

Your employees will be your downfall. They are the reason for your restaurant struggling. They are the reason why your location may close soon. Have better training. Have better management. They are obviously terrible at their jobs. Your bad employee today just let almost $50 walk out those doors, $20 to cover her pay plus some to cover expenses. Think on that for a minute.

- WORKERS

I/we pay your salary. You work for all of us. Your customers are your bosses, and currently, you suck at what you do for more money. IF you don't like your job, don't do it. You obviously don't need money if you're terrible at it. Let others that need a job take it. Go and pursue other options, but don't waste our time. We were extremely hungry, and you just made us have a better meal at home. Thank you.

Owner, I am very sorry, you just lost our business and we will never come back again. It hurts me to say that because I am a small business owner myself and I pride myself on customer service. I hope you can fix this for others to NOT stop coming to your restaurant, but it seems like your people just don't care. What a shame. Take care.

Wow! This is a great IHOP. The service is so friendly, the atmosphere was really fun, and the food was super yummy! The breakfast burrito wasn’t on the menu anymore but they made it happen for me and I was so grateful. I highly recommend this location.

This is the best IHOP location I have ever been to. The service was excellent. All the staff members were so friendly. Our food came out fast and hot. The fries were actually crunchy and tasted fresh. I was not expecting such a great quality from an Ihop on a Saturday brunch time.

We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The server was very busy but still provided great service. Tried their new biscuit item and it was delicious. Steak was average. Overall we enjoyed this location and will be back.

This IHOP is a pretty good location with good food and a good atmosphere, but what makes it really stand out is the server that has been there the last few times we’ve gone (during the day, maybe around mid day). I don’t know his name (young guy, dark hair and I think a small ponytail), but he’s suuuper polite and very nice and makes sure his guests are well taken care of and have everything to their satisfaction. Honestly, my husband and I were saying it feels like we’re in a five star restaurant because of this server, that’s how good he is! I hope they pay him well and give him a raise!

This I Hop is super good. The parking is easy and it is usually not crowded. The service is really nice and they get your order right the first time. It may take a minute because they are hiring new people so give them a break. Everyone is doing the best they can.

The place is clean and so are the bathrooms. The hostess is really nice as well.

The food is very good. We had fried shrimp with fries and liked it very much.
We also had a big breakfast with all sorts of meats and pancakes and eggs. All of it was great, but they should not serve frozen butter on top of pancakes, it does not melt, so they need to work on that.

They have wonderful shacks and desserts.

I had breakfast at an IHOP the day before this lunch at this IHOP. The breakfast was excellent (Colorado omelet).

But lunch at this IHOP was terrible!! I got the bacon jam hamburger and it was ok, small and the fries (although I always ask for extra crispy, brunt, chard, were just plain fries). For 16$ I expected much better. (Denny's remains my favorite burger, fresh, big, and relatively inexpensive).

My mom wanted the t-bone, but they did not have it, so she settled on the salmon. It was NOT good! It was WAY over cooked to the point of being inedible without some sauce to help you swallow it. It was also sooo small, if it was 3 Oz I might be generous. The green beans tasted off, like they had some detergent or something on them, she did not eat them, and the tiny garlic bread was dry and hard. For 19$ it should be much better and bigger.

The service was slow and unattentive. They had two waitresses and about 7 tables, so I am not going to say more about that.

I will never go to this IHOP again. Except for breakfast, maybe.

Parking: It s locate inside next to the in and out burgers if you get there early you find a parking but if you go there late on weekends it s very busy and hard to find a parking spot take your time they open at 10 am I got there like 11 and I have to wait 25 to get a table Food

This IHOP is a pretty good location with good food and a good atmosphere, but what makes it really stand out is the server that has been there the last few times we ve gone (during the day, maybe around mid day). I don t know his name (young guy, dark hair and I think a small ponytail), but he s suuuper polite and very nice and makes sure his guests are well taken care of and have everything to their satisfaction. Honestly, my husband and I were saying it feels like we re in a five star restaurant because of this server, that s how good he is! I hope they pay him well and give him a raise! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pancakes and impossible sausage (also gluten free). However don t get the scrambled eggs or the omelettes they put normal pancake batter in them.

I have had nothing but good experiences at this iHop! I have seen some poor reviews on here, and it makes me sad because this is one of my favorite spots! I come here all the time and the food and service is always 10/10! The servers and managers are so friendly and they always give the best service. Don t let these poor reviews shy you away from visiting, because trust me this is the iHop to visit you will not be disappointed!

The food is good and that is the only reason I enjoy Ihop and want to feel welcomed and at ease while eating breakfast with family but the rude service from the waitresses is not acceptable and theyre in such a hurry to just run not even listen or share on what we should order and then never return to ask if you need the missing items they forget to bring at the first place this location is near Palos Verdes and Torrance Rolling Hills so the crowd is good here and dont want to be vulnerable but the staff needs training or an uplifting attitude to listen and wait on tables rather than make faces if you take a second to order and decide they just run and say Ill come back and never do.

Amazing experience at this IHOP location. I visited from Texas with my family and received the best service from our waitress Kimberley (Kim). She was friendly, welcoming and very attentive, we never had to ask for anything; refills were on the the table before our glasses were empty. She is outstanding!!! One of the best waitresses that I have experienced. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. So glad that we stopped at this location before heading to the airport. I recommend this location and when you visit ask for Kimberley.

I knew Ihop about ten years ago, in Anaheim. Lunch tastes good but the quantity is no longer there The eggs, bacon and sausage are very sparsely garnished and the sausages are shamefully small. Even if the pancakes are unlimited, youll still be hungry. And the hot chocolate is banal...I would hesitate to go back.

If you are looking for breakfast in Torrance then IHOP is the place to go. I never can choose 1 thing I like the most so I always go with the breakfast sampler bc it provides such a variety. The staff was friendly. The facility was clean. My waitress was really good. I will be coming back to this location next time I need my pancake fix. I recommend the strawberry and blueberry syrup if you haven t tried it and you like those flavors. Five star breakfast experience.

I was excited to come because I havent had iHop for a while. But I was sort of let down by the food. The breakfast plate was standard, the hash brown tasted like the frying oil was old. Clean friendly staff. Very helpfull especially because I went with my 2 grandkids. The only thing I can say is there wasnt any coloring books, crayons or anything to keep them occupied. Wheelchair accessibility: I am in a wheelchair and they assisted me in every manor.

Hi guys I m back again! This time with a quick review of I hop in Torrance. Quick confession, I work here. I promise to be honest. I hop in Torrance is now under new management with the same old staff you have grown to love. Now open until 9 pm every night. Jorge the manager is definitely enthusiastic about cleanliness. Nice place for a big gathering. Enjoyed their pancake and fried steak which I ordered. But their fried steak at other outlets was better, but you know, Different outlet has different standard after all. End of the day I still enjoyed it.

IHOP has yummy food. The pancakes are good and the burgers are good but could have more lettuce and tomatoes. Recommended

If your looking for a great breakfast then you have come to the right spot! Today me and my family came here to have a wonderful breakfast before we head out to COSTCO and due some shopping. My server ( Rose ) was amazing, she was taking care of us and everyone here at this IHOP, even she has a wonderful smile and kept up with the great customer services. That is right....they are under staff and under pressure and I completely understand, but she kept up with the smile, keeping her customer happy at every moment. And lets me forget the cooks....you guys rock! Thank you for the amazing breakfast today it was great see you guys again soon. Nice place for a family breakfast, kids love the pancakes and theyre delicious, omelets are great and the milk shakes are also great combination. Enjoy your visit you all!

Food was good and hot, friendly service. It was crowded when we got there, only a 10 minute wait to sit down, food arrived in good time also.
