We decided to check this place out after noticing the menu online while looking for dinner options. Kind of all over the place but in a good way, definitely sparked our interest. Showed up on a Friday evening, didnt have a reservation (we didnt check before heading over). They still accommodated us pretty quick considering it was pretty busy. Service was great, atmosphere was great, our server was personable. Food was fantastic. I got the Reserve (ribeye) and it was cooked exactly how I ordered it. Well definitely be back Kid-friendliness: Families welcome but its a classy joint.

They make almost all their own foods, salad dressings, etc. Very tasty! Our wedding party went here after the service was done, for dinner, and it was a great choice. Menu was extensive.

Love this place! I grew up in the mountains and ate here for special occasions since 1978. The building is a lodge style design and over a hundred years old, dripping with charm. The menu should be reworked, as it feels like from the 90s. The food and ingredients are first class. Service is exceptional, as they want to pamper you. I recommend this joint!

Heres the problem. Burger was good.. however 2x now we have been given menus that say one price for what we order.. i.e $16 and when we get the bill its 19 each instead.. then theres a $1+ fee whwn we are staying here right behind it..? Hmm these added fees after the fact are basically able for litigation... this is truly highway robbery when u dont agree to stuff but u gotta pay after u eat cause u ate.. smdh i might go back tonight n lets see if they give us the right menus cause if they dont.. theyre def getting an earful for sure.. they did it again!!! But worse!! This time the menus said the burger was 18 each and we ordered 2 and it came to be 38 for both the burgers, a $2 resort fee although we are staying on their fkn property too! This is a fkn scam!!!!!!! All ur fees need to be listed before the reciept is printed not give it to us at the last second and be like ur fkn stuck with it now dont eat here!

I had the tempra avocados for a starter they were great. I highly recommend it. The burger and fries with fruit were the bomb right on point. This is a big burger. I could only eat half.

Great atmosphere and food. Our server with the silver hair was awesome. He knew all the ingredients and made suggestions on what we should eat according to our diets. Vegetarian options: You can ask the server to remove ingredients such as meat from the dishes. Dietary restrictions: They can also make your dish vegan or gluten free, they will let you know if there is a ingredient in the dish. Parking: There are lots of spots in front and on the side of the building. Wheelchair accessibility: Mountain roads are bumpy, but there is a long ramp for the building.

Very nice experience, took my wife here for our 1 year anniversary on Nov. 10, 2023. Definitely make reservations, we went on a friday night and they were turning people away at one point. Amazing service. Server wasnt too clingy, was very charming, casual, but professional at the same time. Food came out at a nice pace. Slow enough to enjoy your food and the atmosphere, along with great drinks. I ordered the white peach mule. The grilled bread and truffle butter with mushroom soup starter was my wifes favorite. I was hesitant ordering a $36 halibut cut, but i would order it over and over again. Great appetizer aswell. Calamari wasnt chewy or greasy, and the noodles were a nice touch. We ordered the lavender creme brulee for desert and it did not at all disappoint. By far one of the top three restaurants in the San Bernandino Mountains. We will be back soon. The drive up was great aswell, we came from Big Bear at night. For an added adventure there is Strawberry Peak Lookout 5 mins away, breathtaking views.

Went for my bday dinner, Atmosphere is very nice and I like the deco. I did like the customer service it was friendly and up beat however there was a flaw, listening. When were sat we were told they were all out of bread not bothered at this was just surprised. I ordered a Caesar Salad, fired avocado, and a chicken entree. For dinner. Waitress was very good at sharing her favorites and making suggestions which she said she really likes the spring salad,. Thanked her for sharing and she went to place the order when salads came she brought me a spring salad. I didnt fuss I like both. After dinner she again shared her favorites and then asked what we would like for dessert and I asked for a slice of cheesecake and she brought me her favorite apple pudding (I think) it was not cheesecake again didnt fuss just really surprised at the lack of listening to her customer. Food was very tasty other items ordered at our table was the calamari, a salmon entree, taqueria chicken entree and a crab cake entree. Would have changed star rating if waitress had listened a bit better. I do suggest making a reservation. It was clean not sure state of restroom as I did not use.

I wanted to leave a raving review for an awesome experience. I visited for my first time with a date who lived local and we had the most memorable experience. First off, the host made me a late minute reservation a few hours in advance. I had driven almost two hours to get there and was so grateful. When we walked in she was kind and had someone show us to our table. Garrick was our waiter and he knocked it out of the park. Personal, fun, informative a total rock star. The food was delicious, the desert even better. We literally closed the place down(they were turning off the lights) as we left. We still never felt rushed at all, I think they would have stayed as long as we were there. Thank you so much for making a first date that spectacular!!

Service by our server: 2 stars; service by other servers: 5 stars; food 4 stars; ambiance: 5 stars. Dined there for New Year s Eve, so considering everything that could ve gone wrong, I m thankful for the overall experience. Excellent ambiance. Everyone was overall professional. Was asked where is your jacket by owner when checking at the host desk but didn t say jacket required on Open Table, and he was wearing only a sweater himself! LOL Sea Bas was excellent but very small (~3oz). Server was ambitious and made us feel quite rushed; he didn t tell me options to replace salad w soup (but did to other tables), and I had to ask him to bring utensils, steak knife, extra plate, etc we thought he was trying to keep things moving because of NYE, but he just wasn t in his zone with our table. He did offer to take back the too undercooked prime beef (we ordered medium), but he also said: Well I just bring out what the kitchen gives me , without me asking for an explanation. Again, we will go back, and it s an EXCELLENT option for the mountains, but will ask for a different server. And I don t think you need a jacket to dine here :)

The absolute best and highest quality dining option on the mountain, with a close second going to Stone Creek Bistro. From the atmosphere and the service, to the quality of food- its hard to top this experience anywhere other than Orange County or LA. Most of the dining options on the mountain are very underwhelming, but not at Antlers. I waited to write a review after multiple visits, and its safe to say its a great place and well continue to come back. Shout out to Sara who is an awesome waitress, very friendly, courteous, and a big part of why customers decide to come back. See you guys soon!

My wife and I have lived on the mountain for years. We gave up on going out to eat up here long ago. I come from a family of foodies and my wife was a server in her youth. Service on the mountain is notoriously horrible. We wanted to celebrate and have heard nothing but good about this place. Thank you Antlers for restoring our faith. The service was fantastic! Every employee that passed our table took time to check in, either verbally or visually. Plates were cleared by four different employees, not only our server; This alone shows that you have a great training program. The only reason for four stars out of five were: the wine served was different from the wine listed. No mention of this from our server,. We were fine with the wine that was served,, just a note. The food was well prepared and portion size was plenty for this fat guy. One star was deducted for the appetizer. We order Calamari from every place we visit if it is on the menu as a test. Seafoodies know why. California is the home of the best squid out there. Please consider using it. Thank you again, we will be back.

My wife & I just had dinner at this restaurant. Garrick was our server, but this complaint isn t necessarily about him. It took upward of 45 minutes for our 2 entrees to come. After about 25 minutes of waiting, I asked Garrick how much longer for the food. He said it normally takes 30 minutes (which is still relatively long, but Ok). And should be out any minute. After 45 minutes, the food came out. I asked to talk to the manager, I think his name was Jared young guy early 20s. Anyways, working in the restaurant industry for years, I expect much better customer service than this manager provided. He went on to say I don t want to make any excuses, but the reason why your food took so long is... and then explained there was a new cook and also the kitchen was busy with takeout orders. It is extremely unprofessional to spend more time on making excuses for why the food took so long to come out and less time on appeasing the dissatisfied customer. He minimized & normalized the amount of time that the food came to come out & did not appear to be apologetic in the least bit. For the food to take 45 minutes to come out is completely unheard of & unprofessional. To add fuel to the problem, the way that the manager attempted to make things right is to give me a 10% discount, resulting in the same amount that tax was. Giving me this discount of 10% is the same thing as saying sorry you had to wait 45 minutes for your food here s a measly discount. 45 minutes is way over the time food is supposed to come out, especially for 2 people. Absolutely absurd. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever received.

Update: At the end of our meal this visit our waiter explained the $2.25 surcharge on the bill to cover increased costs, including raising the minimum wage Sadly, we will no longer be making The Grill At Antlers Inn a part of our Arrowhead visits

Literally the best meal Ive ever had. Better than the Mission Inn Duanes steakhouse which up until last night was the best Ive had in California. We will be back.

Ordered Rosemary Chicken. I never order the chicken. This was perfectly cooked. The veggies and mashed potatoes, light and delicious. The bread and butter basket, delicious. Everything was amazing. Service was phenomenal, I will definitely make the 1.5 hour drive to come back.

Wonderful. We have been here twice and each time we leave feeling happy and satisfied. The shrimp scallop pasta is deliciois. So are the seafood salad, the red dragon roll, and the bacon jam burger. I love that I can also bring my dog who can sit with us in the patio.

One of the better restaurants on the mountain. Service was wonderful. We had the venison special and the ribeye. Both were delicious. Also recommend the fried avocado as an appetizer.

This place is really worth a trip up the mountain! My first time visiting this restaurant. I met the owner Larry and his son Jared (in photo). Best kept secret on the mountain for sure. Always busy, call for reservations. I had a great true caesar salad....red snapper (incredible and no photo) and their pear apple bread pudding YUM! Service was outstanding, Food was FRESH...Red Snapper (daily special) was perfect! The dining area is lodge poles almost 100 years old.....be sure to call and reserve....this place gets and stays busy...and I can see why! LOOK>>> I came Back. This time Carri was my server,/host. Really nice person. My rosemary chicken was wonderful. The tomato chutney ..yum. The chicken was perfect and the gravy. I could have had more it was so good. I felt like I was enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner it was so tasty. Finished with their flowerless chocolate cake. One bite and well I ate the whole thing. So good! Thanks. Ill be back for more soon!
