The service was great. They were very nice and friendly. The entrance is in the back by the parking lot. Not sure the vibe they are going for. There s a ton of writing all over the walls which is cool but it also brings down the enjoyment factor. Some of the chairs are falling apart and flaking off on the seat. The pizza was good but it didn t seem like the ingredients were fresh and the pizza was a bit too soft for my taste. It could have been cooked longer. The chicken sandwich was great. It was big and satisfying. The bread was crispy on the outside but still really soft.

Ive been searching for the best new york slice in all of LA and OC. My go-to for all pizzas is a Pepperoni pizza. This was my first spot to check out. Today i went to Slice House in Eastvale. I must say... Joe Peeps is the clear winner. Better dough Better cheese Toppings at slice house is more abundant, but joe peeps topping to pizza overall combined taste is better; regardless of the amount of toppings joe peeps uses. this is so far my LA score of 85 on the dave portnoy scale. Sometimes, less is more.

Job experience Peeps is a quirky place to visit. Decorated as if youre dink good an an alley, with tons of graffiti, provided by the the guests. Pizza is delicious and consistent. Blue collar pizza is disappointing, and not worth the discount, if you like a thick crust pizza, dont put chicken pennies, just to for the full experience! Wheelchair accessibility: Need the door held but there is a ramp.

Omg! Best frikken pizza ever!! You can order the 5969 calorie/ thick crust style or Blue Collar/ New York style crust. I recommend the house special, its so tasty!. I ordered mine without anchovy. It comes with pepper, meatballs, sausage, Canadian bacon, green peppers, onion, olives, mushrooms, pepperocini, and anchovies. Its worth every penny, you pay for it. I also ordered the mostaccioli with meat sauce, but I had the amazing pizza for dinner, and then breakfast this morning. So couldnt tell you how the pasta tastes They also sell garlic bread, salads, sandwiches, wings, side of meatball or sausage, pizza dough and sauce. Its a fun atmosphere, you can write on the walls . There is plenty of parking, the staff were friendly.

Joe s claims to be authentic East Village pizza, with pictures and newspaper articles, adoring the wall proclaiming so. I lived in the East Village, and have pretty much eaten at every pizza store in the East Village. I had high hopes going in, seeing as you have to enter from the back and the interior was a bit dilapidated, giving the impression that people come here for the food and vibe, not the decor. After getting my slice ($5 for a plain btw), it was clear that this is no New York slice. It was thick and doughy, with barely any browning on the on the crust or bottom, and certainly no browning on the thick sheet of cheese. It seemed like a slice that had been out all day and insufficiently reheated. I m not sure what style pizza this is, but it s certainly not New York, and any New Yorker are coming here would agree. Maybe it was good 30 years ago, but if it was, it s long gone. Anyway you slice it, it s not great pizza.

As this is the THIRD TIME in a month and a half - with multiple botches and screw ups - TIME TO POST THIS REVIEW. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. While sweet, well-meaning - the management is NOT honorable. He will tell you About 30 minutes or About an hour... and really they have ONE DRIVER so you MIGHT be stuck like I was 3 weeks ago calling in AN HOUR AND A HALF later asking where the heck is your dinner. The answer? Oh, yeah, sorry... but the driver is JUST LEAVING. Im sorry- - WHAT? He hadnt even left yet. Then, we have tonight. I live about 8 blocks from this location and during nights I have to work late, have (prior to covid) enjoyed order a few sodas and desert. I ordered at 9:06 PM. One slice of cake, 4 diet cokes. NO COOKING. This requires about 2 minutes to put together, if that. By 9:52 PM - NO DELIVERY. Again - it was sodas and one slice of cake. I live 8 minutes away. Get the manager - he puts me on hold and then comes back: Yeah, sorry bout that, but he just got back... but hes gonna leave now... ????!!! MANAGEMENT / OWNERSHIP: if you CANT DELIVER 4 cans of soda 8 blocks away - DONT LIE. Say straight up: Sorry, itll be over an hour. And DEFINITELY dont give attitude when the Customer who has been loyal thru multiple other delivery screw ups finally expresses exasperation that YOU as a business are not honorable / loyal. Thank you. Try Dominos or better yet - Mulberry Street - better food, same prices, and while they do charge a bit more for soda =) - WORTH IT to get something on time and being treated with respect. Thank you. NOTE: After I posted my review - within SECONDS the manager was calling my phone. Two calls in 1 minute. Fascinating how they couldnt be bothered to remember my order for 45 minutes, yet after a truthful review, managed to find my phone number. The number of mistakes over the past year led to an ongoing slew of replacing beverages (they kept delivering the wrong sodas), or delivering the food completely mashed (I was fond of their cake slices, which are grossly overpriced - $4.50 plus $3.00 delivery fee plus tax PLUS TIP for a small slice of cake. Not a bargain.) - yet the drivers would hand over the small box of cake completely mashed under cans of soda or squashed to one side. Sorry but for $6.00 all in - not okay. So we went thru about 8 rounds re-deliveries, small credits for missing soda, destroyed cake. Somehow after all this, we then wound up with 3 rounds of absurdly late / un deliveries. All this does NOT entitle a business struggling to find staff to promise delivery times, not keep their word, and then be rude or defend bad behavior. It should in an ideal world be the opposite: they should strive to be honest with loyal customers to show all the dozens of Im sorrys were actually sincere, and not more untruthfulness. And the prices in this already-recession-riddled economy! $24.00 for a tiny 12 cheese pizza thats really $35 by the time youve paid delivery fee, tax, and tip... Not. Worth. It.

Didnt care for the pizza. First time was delivery. Pizza was horrible. Was very oily, and the crust was saturated in oil. Second time was dine in. My friend picked this place. The crust was crisp on the edges and greasy on the bottom. I attempted both times to try and absorb the grease with napkins but it was a very thin crust. Just wasnt good to me. My friend ate more than me. 2 small slices after I tried wiping the grease was enough. I dont think I will go back again. I am done. Parking: Parking in back is great. In front is very limited due to narrow street and too many other stores. Wheelchair accessibility: I was in a wheelchair. There is room if you push the chairs away.

But its not just the pizza that makes this place amazing. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service is top-notch. Disappointed in the quality of ingredients. The garlic they put on top of pizza is from a jar (like why? Easiest fresh ingredient to prep??). Pizza dough tastes straight outta the grocery store and is always soggy. Ingredients are just plopped on top of the slices with no thought whatsoever, making the eating experience negative. Pineapple from a can which is typical but doesn t look appealing or easy to eat when just plopped on top. Sorry but New Yorkers and Italians alike are rolling in their graves with this.

2022.04-26/TUE_1640: THE ONLY pizza I can eat. Im highly allergic to tomatoes and Im gluten intolerant but how is it that I can have Joe Peeps pizza???!!! I love the staff here and the music is always the greatest, too! Theyre always smiling and the ambiance is always the same when we visit! Today was great because I was able to order a pizza for take away and pick it up. So it was awesome to see the wonderful staff that makes the incredible food and who Ive spoken to on the phone as well. We have to order delivery must of the time because if we leave the house, we wont have parking! It was a treat to meet and see everyone in action! Anyway, the food quality is insane here. I cant say that enough. I have no allergic reactions to their pizza sauce and dough! This means the ingredients are of excellent quality. The amount of toppings on the pizza is always the perfect amount and the ingredients are always fresh! I usually buy a container of the pizza sauce so I can use it to cook something at home. Thats how much I love their sauce. Im not allergic. What is it?! Homegrown tomatoes? The Steak Sandwich....oh, dear heavenly Father... wow. I can honestly say that this is the ONLY place that has the closest thing on the menu that tastes just like a Philly Cheesesteak. Oh, what in the world is this??!! We had gotten a large Steak sandwich and added cheese. I couldnt even take a bite, the sandwich was so huge. Not only was this a behemoth of a sandwich, the steak...the steak was not Steak Ums meat. It was thinly sliced, tender steak. What the heck. The cheese was stringy and melted perfectly throughout the sandwich and there were onions and green peppers just buried in there. The bread...SO soft and it was not thick and dense at all. The bread soaked up the drippings of the steak. How?! It WILL melt in your mouth! You definitely will NOT be disappointed. If you want to dine in and have a slice, you can! They sell them by the slice! You dont have to buy a whole pie! The entrance is located behind the store in the parking lot. How great. They have their own parking! You have to see the interior because youll see celebrities that have visited as well as the shipping tickets for pizza that have been sent overnight to other states! I swear in 2011, I saw a shipping ticket for one that went to my hometown in Virginia Beach, Virginia!!! Now there are more! Theres Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio, too. I would do the same if I had to move away for a special treat!! Joe Peeps is definitely a place worth visiting if you happen to be in town! #joepeeps #northhollywood #noho #pizza #subs #sandwiches #mortimerandfriends #yuutobear January/2022: I have been here countless of times and I cannot believe Ive never done any reviews. Most of my reviews were done on Yelp! First things first - sadly, Im highly allergic to tomatoes and for some reason, I am able to eat Joe Peeps pizza sauce and I can also have their baked Ziti, too. Anything with their sauce, Im able to eat without any kind of allergic reaction. This tells me that theyre using quality ingredients and/or their tomato sauces are cooked for hours and it removes the protein in the tomatoes that Im allergic to - who knows. Anyway, each time weve ordered from Joe Peeps, the food quality had always been outstanding and plentiful. We love the two types of crusts available for there pizza. You have the Blue Collar which is more of a thinner New York style crust and the 5,969 Calorie style pizza is a thicker crust. Weve tried both and both are FANTASTIC. You cant go wrong with whatever size pizza you get because where its either style, one slice is as big as your face! Their Baked Ziti is delicious as well as their sandwiches, too. Their portions are incredible. The best part of Joe Peeps is that you can purchase their dough and their sauces so you can make your own dishes at home! I do this since I have a nasty tomato allergy.

My favorite pizza place in the San Fernando Valley. Joe Peeps for me is a treat! I dont know what it is exactly, but their pizza is perfect. The sauce is tasty and fresh. They use quality cheese and do not, in the slightest, skimp on toppings. I almost feel like they put too many toppings on a pizza! There service has definitely improved in the past 2 years both in service and customer interactions. The staff are all friendly and I cannot forget to mention their iconic graffiti wall. I highly recommend Joe Peeps for anyone looking for delicious pizza! P.S., I would recommend ordering a large since anything bigger than that has thinner than usual crust!

For all my NY Yankees, I know California can be a little slow pace and not enough direct talk. Joe Peeps NY Pizza will remind you where you come from and will let you vent without a doubt! The Chefs make New York classic style pizza and the memories on the walls will give you encouragement and remind you why you came to Los Angeles in the first place! And the boxes they created are amazing you have to see them if you are a 90s gammer ! One slice will fuel you for the whole day and put the peep back in your step when walking these long blocks in LA! The taste is so New York! Treat yourself dont cheat yourself! And also check out the book collection while you wait if you are a bookworm like myself!

This little corner dive was really good-what a lucky find!! They had the football playoffs on when we got there to pick up our food (always a bonus). We had the 5969 Calorie cheese pizza and some pasta w marinara sauce. Seriously delicious-pasta had a unique flavor and the pizza had a great cheese blend. The staff were friendly and the walls were extra fun-we signed our names on the wall before we left

EVERYTHING here, I mean EVERYTHING is beyond superb. I have been to many high rated fancy Italian restaurants in the U.S. and Europe and Joe Peeps beats em all. You can find better ambience, but not food. The baked ziti is the best on planet earth!

Very impressed! We wanted NYC pizza since we ran out of time last week while visiting and this spot does not disappoint. All the way to the website and descriptions on the pizza is wonderfully NYC. Cant believe the amount of toppings we got and this was just the regular amount! My new spot for sure!! Cant wait to eat more later tonight!

If you haven t tried Joe Peep s Pizza, you re missing a lot in your pizza life. I don t usually like plain Cheese Pizza but Joe Peep s version is something I would order again. It is very tasty and cheesy. Also, the Meat Lover s pizza is the absolutely the best - they do not skimp on meat! They will surely give you all cheesy and meaty goodness that you deserve! Plus, it is very simple to order! You can either give them a call or order through their app available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store - check it out!

Its Joe Peeps people, do I really need to explain how good it is. If you dont know youve been sleeping. This was go to since High School where back in the day I could order a slice or two of the extra cheese and a soda for like 5 bills and be good for the night. They saved my hunger pains many a weekend.

I ve been ordering over twenty years from Joe Peeps - this is the closest you ll get to NYC pizza. They are the best in town- along with exceptional customer service from each of the guys that work there, this is the place to order your pizza. Thanks Joe Peeps for keeping this New Yorker from ever missing that authentic Nyc pizza!

Workers there just tried to video my wife while trying to scare her by hiding in their Magnolia side doorway and then screaming at her while she walked by. She confronted them, and they all started hiding behind each other with no response. The irony is that we had just purchased and ate a pizza from there an hour earlier. I wont, and I would urge others not to, patronize a business that employs such childish behavior that only serves to make the neighborhood uncomfortable for residents to shop alone.

I tried this place for the first time, and let me tell you it was extremely disappointing! I ordered for pick up, once I walked in the greeting was less than welcoming. I paid for my order and waited for it to be finished. The staff looked disheveled, to the point I almost walked out but I reminded myself I already paid. Their is a lady in the back who walks around touching everything and then the food with no gloves. The food turned out POOR, we threw it away. I wish our experience was as good as the reviews I read that led me here, I m so let down
