All I can say is simply amazing! The whisky list is huge, live guy playing a guitar, excellent service and amazing food. A place for a birthday, anniversary etc as it is not cheap. The servers are very well trained proper manners and etiquette.

I’m happy to leave a 5star review. The old fashioned’s were superb along with the service and meal. My son and I ordered coconut shrimp and pleasantly surprised with the spices and sauce. My pork chop was grilled to perfection. It was paired with a mushroom sauce and freshly made mashed potatoes. Too bad this restaurant is in Whittier California and not Tampa Florida! Thank you for a delicious dinner and enjoyable evening after a sad visit to Los Angeles to see my brother who is very ill.

I came here to grab a cocktail during their Happy Hour. Bartenders were amiable and professional. Service was on point. Music was a bit loud to have a conversation. Overall, I had a good drink and bar experience.

I recently visited Rokka Whiskey Bar in Whittier for a birthday dinner with my family, and unfortunately, I left disappointed with the experience. While the service was good, especially from our server Henry who was attentive and helpful, the quality of the food has noticeably degraded over time. I ordered the tomahawk steak, a dish I ve enjoyed here before, but this time it fell short of expectations especially at the price point. The portion size was smaller compared to previous visits, and the seasoning was lacking. The sear on the steak, which used to be one of my favorite aspects of the dish, was underwhelming. For what I paid, I expected much more in both quantity and flavor. As someone who s worked in fine dining for years, I came in with certain expectations based on past experiences at your restaurant, but I left feeling like I didn t get my money s worth. My visit was last Friday, the 27th, and I truly hope the quality of your food can return to what it once was, as I ve always appreciated the atmosphere and service here.

I definitely want to write a review, one of the best experience we had have since Covid and I said this because of lack of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SINCE COVID. Great experience from the beginning to the end, hostess was friendly and helpful, very clean place and restrooms , wonderful atmosphere, very pleasant music loud enough to talk. Food was amazing worth the price and the best our waiter Henry was wonderful , thank you Henry for your wonderful service we definitely will come back. I give them 10 stars.

The food was complete garbage. Appetizer was the lobster Mac, I have no words for how terrible this was. As an entree I Ordered the sea bass, it was dry and overcooked. My partner ordered the basil shrimp pasta, it tasted like chicken bouillon with canned tomato sauce with zero basil in sight. The pasta was overcooked and the shrimp still had the tails attached so you had to dig in your pasta to eat it. Overpriced for food that was tolerable at best. Save your money and drive downtown for a quality meal and avoid this disaster. Parking: Good luck finding street parking on a weekend

We had a wonderful dining experience at a very nice place with excellent food, drinks, and ambiance. While being here we had what appeared to be a girl come up and interrupt our date trying to sell us paintings it was startling to get approached like she did to us we didn t know what was going on we told her know twice she left for other tables disturbing others the music was a little loud to where you could barely hear your companion the first visit was great we decided to come back to this location because of first experience but it was not worth the trip this time the some of the food tasted cold (mashed potatoes and the yucca fries and grits were warm on one side and cold on other side) hearing glasses breaking on the restaurant floor waiting on silverware to eat our entree s. It definitely could have been better! I was just shocked that they would let someone come in to the restaurant and interrupt your vibe to sell you painting especially when they have a desk there at door to check you in. Definitely I would say this restaurant needs a that understands to send out food hot and a manager that can pay attention to the details they were on the floor just talking while we getting interrupted and being served warm food!

Great whiskey bar, make sure youre prepared. Me and my friends had a bill over 1000, a party of 8. We drank many different whiskeys. Was celebrating a friends birthday and definitely should give them a heads up about it, youll enjoy the birthday cake. Vegetarian options: There are some but not as many as the meat ones. Service was good. Food was great. Its Whiskey bar that ran out of Jack Daniels Whiskey on a Saturday night by 6:30 pm...... The atmosphere was good; with live music. There was what appeared to be an unhoused person that came out of the restroom on his way out of the restaurant he flipped a chair on its side stratlling the guest at the table. Staff seemed unfazed by it. Parking: Street side parking is hard to come by. There a parking structure nearby but didnt seem safe as there was some one loitering talking to himself as if he was on something. The elevator is permanently disabled so you must take stairs. Try to find parking curbside if possible.

Great drinks our bartender Ruben was extremely professional, friendly and informative. Even though he was super busy (New Years Eve) he took the time to answer all our questions and the drinks were spectacular! My personal favorite is the Irish Coffee. The food was ok nothing really memorable or worth the proce, but I cant blame them too much they were slammed on NYE! Still excellent service. We will be back!

Went for company holiday dinner. Music was good, but was turned up so incredibly loud that we could not hear the person sitting next to us. Told the manager but he did nothing. Even the 30 somethings at the table were complaining. The 2 fish dishes ordered - the fish was overcooked. The Tomahawk steak was delicious. Service was good but very slow (our waiter was great). All in all, go if you dont want to have any conversations with anyone, but just eat, unless you enjoy yelling so loud that your throat is sore by the end of the meal. Not sure if the prices are warranted on some of the food, like the fish dishes. Perhaps we went on a very busy night, but it was a Thursday night, and was busy.

The food was great and so was the customer service. Britani recommended the tomahawk and it was very good. Could use a little seasoning but overall, the food was amazing! Especially the lobster Mac. I had the el padrino as recommended by our server and a mile high flight! We had three of them to be exact. The whiskey selection is phenomenal and the ambiance is one of a kind, all I was missing was a cigar.

Lively atmosphere within an upscale dining room. But with 4 out of 5 dishes being a miss, I sadly cannot recommend Rokka. Started with the pork belly appetizer. Compared to pork belly two of our party has in Japan, this was lacking in flavor. It was also quite dry. The dipping sauce nearly saved it. Steak entrees: cooked medium, and both were dry. The butter dip served alongside provided no flavor. The sides were also a miss: corn on the cob a little withered and over-salted. Wasabi mashed potatoes had no wasabi. The house salad was the best part of the steak orders. Clam chowder: very little happening here in terms of flavor and texture. Very few chunks of potato, or any other veggies, and seldom any clams. I don t know if they dip from a large pot and whatever the ladle grabs is what you get, but this serving had very little to offer. Filet mignon sandwich was delicious. The chimichurri does a lot of work. Accompanying sweet potato fries were a bit soggy and could hold up to their own weight. Atmosphere: lovely live guitar, though it was quite loud. Hard to have conversation, even with wall separating us from the musician. Pleasant decor and very comfortable seating, even at tables. Strange to have so many tvs playing a short loop of the restaurant s offerings. Feels sort of fast food and is distracting. Unless there s a game, it would be a better look if they were off. Service was attentive and friendly.

The people over there were really nice. The waiter was fantastic which is why the overall score is four. The foods okay but for the pricing structure it seems a little bit off. I understand about the supply chain and cost of goods and services going up but this seems to be again just out of the box as compared to other good quality food in Whittier.

Oh show me, the way, to the next Whiskey Bar! Came here on a date night late Anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, Isaiah made us feel right at home and the rest of the staff followed suit. The Sweet and Spicy wings were great to start and if you pair that with a whiskey salad, you won t be disappointed! My wife and I shared a ribeye along with some mashed potatoes and wild rice, and loved every minute of it. The steak was so tender and full of flavor. We paired all that with a Hot Model Vodka jalapeño cocktail for her and I had the Penicillin (which I m allergic to in real life ) which is their signature scotch drink. All in all, the General manager Franklin and Chef Miguel were greatly inviting and truly are masters at their craft! We ll be back again!

Really great restaurant took my wife for Mothers Day, and it was a great experience. Its definitely a little disappointed that their Japanese Wagyu is not A5 grade, but other than that really good food and great atmosphere Kid-friendliness: They were able to seat my baby on a stroller

Ahh!! Rokka Whiskey, a pleasant surprise on this Whittier trip, the brunch menu is very diverse, the brunch menu is selected and limited but packs flavor! If you are a fan of bourbon/ whiskey /Scotch (pick your region), this is the place for you, I felt like a kid in a candy store. Even Pappy Van Winkle is around!!! Sit a the bar with Luciano, a knowledgeable bartender, with awesome recommendations. If you happened to be around Whittier, this is a must!!

Great drinks, food and ambience. It you like whiskey, this place is for you. The sliders, lobster Mac are delicious, kids loved chicken fettuccine and the Chicken Tomahawk was perfectly juicy. Will definitely come back

Im a Whittier local and have been wanting to try this place for a while. We finally go and I think in my mind my expectations were different. The bartenders seemed like they were in a school project. The food was ok, drinks were a little gimmicky. The TVs were repeating a picked veggie martini stuck in a club which was annoying to say the least cause it felt like the restaurant was still trying to figure out its own identity. Overall, the experience was ok...but thats it.

Brought my friend here for her birthday dinner. We had a lovely meal and a great time. They really made her feel special with the fireworks dessert! Inside of the restaurant is really classy and the food was delicious. Great place for a special occasion.

We did not try the food! They were a little busy on a Saturday night, the place was packed. Just had the old los Padrinos old fashioned, which was awesome. I imagine the is probably very good judging by how packed the restaurant was.

Ive been wanting to try this location for a long time. Pricey but worth it! I would recommend reservations after 5pm. The staff was nice and helpful. We were barely seated and they were apologizing for the wait. We were not even waiting, just enjoying the atmosphere and deciding on the menu of food and drinks. Will be going back to try more of their signature drinks.
