Better than average smash burger. I want to give 3.5 stars. It comes smashed up well and thin. I wish there was more onion, but I could also ask for that next time. Fries here are small and thin and sort of taste like theyre from a bag. Besides ketchup, you can buy extra fry sauce or BBQ sauce for the fries. They were out of pickles the night I went, and that wouldve helped the burger, for sure. Doesnt taste too salty or make you feel bad like some fast food drive-thru burger joints. Good and filling portions. Parking: Seats inside and outside on the patio. Cool Bloodsport poster on the interior. No cool mural like the Alhambra location. Wheelchair accessibility: Located on a first floor and not a high curb, feels accessible.

Burger was phenomenal, a wonderful smash burger living up to the hype. I appreciate how simple the burger is. Fries were quite disappointing considering how good the burger was. Quite frankly, I m surprised the head chef would allow the customers to enjoy such a good burger with what I could only describe as standard frozen fries you could get at a Denny s or some diner. Next time I go, I m either trying the Brussel sprouts or just having a burger. Atmosphere was your typical hole in the wall. Food is quite pricy, but it s worth trying at least once. Won t be replacing how often I go to In-N-Out.

For the price I wish I had a better experience. The cashiers here are.always ride and seem to hate being there For selling a burger and fries for almost 20 dollars you would think that the restaurant itself would look better than a stoners basement. Literally the only reason to go here is the burger but after my last few experiences I will be checking out another location or someplace else

Absolute garbage. I lived across the street from the one in Hollywood off Franklin. I drive 40 minutes to try this one and it was not the same, it was garbage. It went from the best burger in the world to what reminded me of the burgers the cafeteria ladies would serve in high school on day old bread. Don t waist your time, drive to Hollywood If you want to have a good burger from for the win. You guys in Whittier are an absolute joke and disgrace to the name. Yuk!

Almost a dinky hole in the wall, the Burgers are excellent. Service is excellent and menu is simple. As suggested, the first time there it is best to get the burger without lettuce and tomatoes. I got my smash burger with cheese and bacon. The meat is cooked to perfection, sauce and cheese compliments the burger very well.

Would be a 5 but the jalepenos were pickled. Who puts pickled jalepenos on a burger and charges what a whole jar of them would cost. No bueno especially for non sides or drink after spending $15. Rather go to on and out and get fries, shake, and a double for that price. Not coming back, nothing special, and atmosphere is not with the vibe. 4 employees to run a burger joint, lol while they were talking more than working. I d say cut the labor cost so you can make the burgers actually worth coming back.

Best smashburger in Los Angeles? Yeah i had to try this place since couple people were raving about it. Too bad im 5 hours away on a damn island Funny thing is I stayed about 2 blocks south from this place last time i was staying in Whittier Located in a strip mall off of Hadley Street and lucked out with a parking stall right in front. Social media blew this burger joint up but luckily I could order without a long line since their Grand Market location had a long wait and i didnt feel like waiting that long. Chefs were friendly and burgers made to order.... Dined in since I wanted the full experience of the fresh grilled burger Burger was worth the wait...the crispy meat skirt along with the onions and pickles was awesome. Fries were also crispy and not soggy like other places. I could see how the hype is real.... 5 stars Parking: Located in a small strip mall so limited parking available or on side streets

After hearing of the big success** of For The Win I was very excited to try it, especially a much closer location in Whittier. However, I wish I wouldve gone to an LA location instead. The burger and the establishment did not seem to represent the brand well. In fact it seemed like a more mom/pop burger place. Although the food was good, it was not best burger in la good. The prices were comparable to other smash establishments, but the quality seemed inferior. Overall, a good burger and experience. And I cant wait to visit again but a different location. If youre traveling for the smash burger hype, just drive to LA. **Best smash burger in LA by Yelp**

For the win makes a great smash burger. Fries are great. Sauces are on point. The place has a small parking lot and kinda weird seating (outside as well) - but that gives it a true hole in the wall appeal. I think their pricing is what will keep me from going back. A $17 burger meal has to fill me up more than what I experienced. It tasted great - but I can easily name 5 better options. Parking: The lot is small and the spaces are tight!

I was in the area and craving a burger so I took a chance on FTW. Super small shop and smaller parking lot, but guess which shop was full? I got a double smash burger with fries on the side. Burger was solid and killed my craving for a beefy masterpiece. pause. Fries were classic McDonalds style with great seasoning levels that made you want to keep reaching into the bag before you realize the fries are gone and you havent finished driving home yet. Dudes working the line inside were polite and eager to help if it was asked as they offered to bring seating out since the rain had cleared for the day and create more dining space(it had been raining from the morning until about 1 or 2) even though there were only 3 people working the counter and kitchen.

Its a whole in the wall, you walk right into the kitchen and ordering counter. That being said, its strictly a burger joint. Nothing crazy, burgers, frys, drinks. They specialize in smash burgers. This place is known in LA and some instagramers say its the best in LA. Im a say, its personal preference. Its a good burger, Crispy edges, smashed, grilled oinions, mushrooms to i think, lots of melted cheese, I added lettuces and tomatoes to mine, on a soft bun. Its a really good smashed burger and the price isnt to crazy, I think starts at $10ish to $15. Frys are good, everything is made to order and fresh. Its really a simple joint that focuses of the food, which is simple a good burger. Id recommend you try and decide for yourself if its the best burger in LA. Parking: A small strip mall type establishment. Limited parking. There is street parking. Kid-friendliness: Not kid-friendly, very limited seating. Best to get it to go if your with little ones.

Got two cheeseburgers, brussel sprouts and loaded fries $32. The sides were definitely the stars of the show. Brussel sprouts were great, lightly salted and tossed in black vinegar which was unexpectedly good combo. Loaded fries were just generic thin cut fries doused in special sauce and onions, good. Burgers were about In-n-Out sized without anything except patty, sauce and 2 pickles, a bit disappointed, as it was very unfilling for $11+/pc. Ground beef is just over the counter beef with seasoning, nothing special. Buns are soft brioche, not prepared in any special way. The inside of the restaurant is very... dingy, counter, tables, chairs, layout is old, worn and outdated. Honestly, not what I expected for being named one of the best burgers in LA, definitely not living up to the claim.

The burgers here are pretty tasty - i enjoyed every bite really. The patty was nicely seasoned, potato bun was flavorful, and the fries were thin and crispy. Their sauce complimented everything quite nice as well. But to be honest, it s quite pricey for it being a tiny burger. I was still hungry after a double cheeseburger with fries. I d love to come here more often and make it a thing but not that often because $30 for 2 burgers/1 fry and NO drinks? Ouch, lol. But It s definitely worth a try if you re in the area.

First visit, probably last visit. Although the staff was nice and friendly.... the burger was just not for me. I ordered my burger protein style and the patty was as thin as a leaf of lettuce. It honesty was the thickness of a slice of deli meat. I was disappointed it didnt meet the hype. It didnt yeast bad just left like the beef was missing. I dont recommend dining in as they only have 1 table inside and 1 or 2 tables on the parkinglot walk way. It looks like there a small patio on the side but it was closed off. It seems like a good LUNCH take spot more that a sit down burger joint.

This was a good burger, so it gets 3 stars. It was not exceptional and nothing about its taste profile stood out, so moving on: 1) Parking is limited. 2) Wait for food can be long. They told us it would be 45 min when we arrived. That was accurate. I suspect there must be many delivery orders because it never got packed in here despite the wait. I d suggest phoning your order in ahead of time. 3) There is seating for 13 inside (3 at the bar, a table for 5, a table for 3, and a table for 2). There is some outside patio seating as well. $32 USD total for: a single cheeseburger, a double cheeseburger, fries, and Brussel sprouts. THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CASH.

Ok let s do this by points of a dining experience. 1. We got there and the first thing you are greeted with is a sign on the door that says limited seating (take out highly encourage) the limited seating part is not the problem but the second half makes it feel a little hostile. We get there and no one greeted us. 2. When you walk in the place is super small (not really a problem) but it is SUPER run down. Holes in the ceiling not that clean. 3. The entire menu is a la carte so you have to pay extra for everything. The menu is hand written not in an organized matter and not the most legible hand writing ever. This is not what I have a problem with it is more of the lack of customer service. No double checking or suggestions. My husband and I had to add things to our order after we had placed it and the guy behind the counter made a joke asking if we knew we were at a burger spot. 4. The food was good. Burgers were good (similar to other places in LA nothing special) fries were mehhhhh. Onion rings were good. We wanted to try the chicken sandwich but they didn t have it available. 5. They stop cooking at some point in the day because I guess they need to restock and such. The problem are not the rules is how rudely they are communicated. The place feels like they are doing you a favor by offering burgers. I was actually recording a food review video but decided I am not going to post it because I prefer to only recommend places where I know people are going to be treated nicely.

Very good smash burger and not overly priced. The queso sauce for the fries was really good too! FTW was on my list of best LA burgers to try and it did not disappoint. The service was fairly quick and it was a pleasure talking to the staff as I awaited my food. The restaurant front was clean and I will definitely visit again because this burger was no frills but had plenty of flavor, fries crispy and I also had a patty melt which I loved. I would definitely visit again, and I recommend any Smashburger fanatics to go and try it out.

They need more people working. The place looks like nobody is there . Then there is no public restrooms. If u have to wait a while for your food because there is only one cook then u should be able to wash up or use the restroom. They greet when u come in and say well be with you in about 8 minutes. If u know your burgers are that bomb u know u going to have a lot of business. So to keep customers happy keep it moving. Nobody like to wait not even you when u go places to eat. Then make sure you have whats on the menu. There were no brussel sprouts, no desert, and they were out of some other things. Some of us drive a distance just to try the hype and support your business and then to get there and not being able to try everything because u dont have it.

To our surprise there was some fries in there. Which were still crisp and tasty. I would stop here again. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day. First time trying this restaurant and the burgers were really good. The burgers are a bit small compared to your average restaurants but the food was sooooo delicious. The fries were nice and crisp! I ll definitely be back. Only feedback I d give is for the owner to maintain their establishment. I went while it was raining and there was water everywhere. Literally inside the restaurant under the tables where people dine in.

Fried chicken sandwich is one of the best out there. I know they re famous for their burgers due to the high quality of meat they use, but I m telling you the chicken sandwich is where it s at. I would say it s the best one I ve had, except I want a spicy option. I have zero complaints about this place and highly recommend the chicken sandwich. 10/10 customer service too

This is EASILY the best burger in Whittier, at least in 2021. We have Norms, Douglas, Doubles, and the list goes on and on. But this burger really outpaces all of them. They do single, double and triple patty burgers. They are a smash style burger. The burgers come with pickles, grilled onions and fries sauce. For a little more, you can add jalapeño, or tomatoes and lettuce, or bacon. They also have Patty melts. Their fries were solid too. The fries sauce seemed pretty hyped. It was great on the burger, but it didnt do much for me actually on the fries. They also currently offer Brussels sprouts which i appreciate a different offering for sides. Theyve only been open three weeks so show them some love. Happy to see more and more food joints in Whittier. i fully expect to see a line of customers out the front door the next time i go.

Is it a few dollars more expensive than a regular burger? Yes. Is it worth it? Heck yes! These burgers have the best flavor and you can just taste the difference in the beef. Awesome service every time. Glad to have a local For the Win

Best beef patties by far! Juicy and filled with flavor. Simple ingredients that dont overwhelm each other. The fries are a must. Served hot and crispy. Everything made fresh to order. The YMCA is right next door if you want to work out and get some protein after. The staff is friendly and. Will make the order the way you prefer.

It was ight place taste like a grill out, but the people are actually paying you for the decent food. Its a solid 5 out of 10 because its not worth the price. Expensive. Better off going to a grill out and eat for free

The Burger Flavor Is Good. However Its The Size Of A Regular Bagel. For The Price I Paid For My Double Cheeseburger And Fries I Couldve Purchased An In N Out 3x3 Combo. Dont Get Me Wrong The Burger Has Flavor But The Size Of The Burger And The Price Will Make Me Think Twice About Eating There Again.

Best burger Ive had in a while. Better than In-n-Out. The fries were perfect - light and crispy, not too greasy. The brussels sprouts are DEEP FRIED with a balsamic flavor. Yummmmm.

This was dumb good . Best burger I think I ve ever eaten in this style. Every bite was succulent and savory. And the quality and flavor in the burger was incredible. Fries were all crispy and by request lightly salted. The workers were very friendly and service was unattached for what looked like a 2 man team. If you re in the area you have to give this a try.

Highly recommend this over In-n-out, trust me, you had enough of that, try this, you will win your heart over with that smash burger of theirs! Their fries are nice skinny fries, I hope they have something in the future where the fries can come in with a cool mix, but you are here for the BURGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
