They are absolutely delicious and so warm and welcoming. The garlic sauce is great on everything if you love garlic as much as I do. The shawarmas are perfection! The owner is so friendly and sweet. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered here!

Loved it! The chicken kabob was so juicy and delicious. I usually stick to my comfort foods but decided to give Mediterranean a try and I will definitely be coming back. The desserts that one of the employees gave me was pretty good.

Come on guys, this is not drive thru.
Lentil soup was good, but no lemon on the side, someone forgot the authentic recipe?

Came in today about noon ish, the owner or person working was very nice. My did take a while but that was expected as they cook everything to order. The food wash exactly what I was looking for. The chicken, rice, salad and hummus was delish!! Ill be back again

Food was good at the start. Last experience was not pleasant. Walked in to order, After 30 minutes I asked about our food, and was told it would be out soon. Another 30 minutes went by, and noticed they were cleaning up and about to close. I asked again and they seemed to have either given my order to someone else or overlooked the ticket order. They didnt know, and didnt seem to bother to address it. They seemed eager to just get out. I just got my refund and no food. (Bad customer service)

Hello everyone, First of all, I dont enjoy writing bad reviews. Im doing it for the purpose of helping others use their money wisely and dont feel insulted like I did after eating here with my wife. This place used to be good (about 1 year ago), but as the newer reviews are mentioning, they have started selling real bad Mediterranean food. The worst weve tried and we love Mediterranean food. 1. The rice is dry and lacks flavor. 2. The texture of the hummus tasted low quality and quite gross. 3. The meat was burned. We even had an experience where they ran out of pita bread and still charged us the same price. They didnt forewarn us that they ran out. Overall, the management and the quality of the food are very disappointing. I would kindly warn people to stay away and save your money. We drive a bit further out to eat at another Mediterranean restaurant, but its worth it every time. My desire with this review is to inform, and hopefully, there will be change for the sake of the customer. Thank you.

Atmosphere: This is a small restaurant located in uptown whittier. Its attached to a shared building space with several other restaurants. The booths had seats that were visibly detaching from the base and may be a safety hazard. The restroom was clean but lacked a changing table for those with younger kids. Food: The meat options here were good and full of flavor. The rice and hummus lacked flavor. The hummus in particular tasted like blended can garbanzo beans. The Kafka, chicken, beef, and Lamb skewers were delicious. Service: The food service was slow but they did comp. Some people in our party a serving of rice so 5* for recognizing your issues and making it up to the consumer. Overall: Unfortunately, the quality of the food and overall ambiance of the location arent overcome but the amicable staff or just the meat options. and this place get just 3 stars. Maybe 3.5 if it was an option... Vegetarian options: Yes, they offer vegetarian options. Although the meat was the only satisfying part of the meal. Parking: This place does not have its own parking. You need to park in one of the shared lots or structures for uptown whittier. Parking nearby can sometimes be an issue, so be prepared to walk. Kid-friendliness: No changing table in restroom

I am honestly surprised how much this place has changed. I spent 35$ on two chicken shawarma plates. One had hummus/tabhhoule and the other had potatoes/tabhhoule. The garlic sauce now taste like straight mayonnaise with a tiny bit of garlic. The chicken was very lemony. The hummus tasted like it has been in the fridge too long. The potatoes. Some were hard and some were soft.... So not sure how they are supposed to be .. the lacked flavor as well. The tabhhoule had large pieces of parsley and not really chopped like it should be. The flavor was there, the presentation was not. The people working there are always nice and it takes a while to get food because its fresh. So thats nice. But other than that ... I was truly surprised how badly this place has gone down hill. =(

The staff is absolutely fantastic they were patient with me but also allowed me to try anything and everything until I was satisfied. They were very courteous and I enjoyed every second I was there. Will definitely be coming back again and would recommend to all of my friends. Its a must go!

I come here regularly because its the closest Mediterranean food around but they are constantly late with my food even when I order them 40min ahead and come at the right pickup time. The food is average and they give you even less food when you order delivery. Take note that their website charges more than ordering apps even though its the same order and pickup.

If I could put ZERO stars I would!! I ordered the chicken kabob today with rice and two sides, the tabouleh and the cucumber yogurt. The rice is so salty and definitely NOT FRESH, the cucumber yogurt wasn t good it was extremely minty and the tabouleh isn t even tabouleh!! No where near authentic!! I came last week and the food was outstanding the only reason why I came back but after what I experienced today there is NO WAY I will be back!!

The food here is always incredibly tasty. My friends and family all talk highly about their shawarma. However, the last 5 times that Ive gone theyve gotten our orders wrong, sometimes even on the second try. Once the Mediterranean salad wasnt marinated so we were given just plain cucumbers and tomatoes. I really hope this doesnt become the new norm, because I absolutely love this place. I highly recommend this place but please check your order before leaving!

I m always surprised how long it takes to fill orders. 85% of the food is already prepared. The staff is usually disinterested. It serves me right because I only come here when I m craving zanku chicken and I m too lazy to drive to montebello. I won t make this mistake again.

Found a guy heavily smoking outside only to find out he is the to fix our plate. Tables and napkin holders and the drink machine and the restroom components are all covered with dark dust( black when wiped on paper-towel. The smoking guy was not polite, he was on his headphones, handling his phone and our food. I liked The young guy working there, seems to be in training, was kind and polite.

I once rated this place a 5, since then it has dropped to 1. I am very unhappy with my meal. They had an issue with my pick up order I placed online, they never received it and the payment that was taken online would be refunded. I get home, my family and I are ready so we open out takeout box and we know something is not right. Visually we knew something was different but we have ate here several times in the past so we give it a try. We get a mouth full of heavy seasonings and heavy taste of salt. The hummus was no good the beef and the chicken shawarma were too overwhelming. . . Unfortunately, this will be my last time eating here. Farwell JDO. . . .

This place is suffering big time from bad management, bad food service, bad food quality and more. Management is allowing this place to be operated by inexperienced staff that are heavily green/overwhelmed. Resulting with poor food quality which is heavily delayed to the customer. My last visit resulted with me waiting over 40 minutes. I was originally told my meal would be done in 15 minutes. After my order inquiry I was told my order was about to be started. I then let the worker know I could not wait any longer, so I never got my food. The restaurant was not packed with customers and there was plenty of empty seats and tables. Very poor.

This restaurant is incredible. I highly recommend checking it out! I called ahead for a pick up order and immediately I was greeted by Omar on the phone. His customer service was superb, and I completed my order with ease over the phone. When I came to pickup my food, all the employees in there greeted me with a smile and I can feel welcomed. Once I got home, my wife and I ate all the food and it was amazing! The lamb plate was cooked to perfection, tabouleh and hummus were clearly homemade and very flavorful and I highly recommend their baklava. You can tell they care about the food as well as your experience there. Amazing meal and I will definitely be returning.

Best food great prices quick friendly service. Casual, family or business clientele. Update: I have no idea what happened at this restaurant but whatever it was made a significant difference on the portions, the flavor, the way it was cooked and the long wait time. I thought maybe I was an off day but after going back several more times it was constantly bad. Not worth the money or time spent waiting for the meal.

I tend to think at 1 time this was a nice place.... I just ordered a Lamb Shwarma wrap and fries... the fries where soggy and covered in seasoning salt. The same salt you get at Stater Brothers. The wrap was messy, breaking apart and ... NO LAMB!! it was tough, chewy, beef! .... i got it to go so didnt notice until I was on freeway... i threw in garbage after a bite and the cheep tast of thos brown onions ya get from Smart & Final burned in my mouth. I am now at In N Out burgers to pay more money but for a meal I know will taste good.....oh! It cost me $16 for that nightmare and they asked for a tip!!

Before new ownership, this place had amazing food, huge portion size and great affordable cost. This was our favorite mediterranean restaurant. It was always consistent. We knew something had changed when the portion size was smaller, it cost more, and the food did not taste the same, especially the pita. After noticing the changes, we inquired and was told it was under new ownership. Now I have to look for another place for mediterran food.

This is my second time coming in and the past week and the food is on point I ordered the number 9 that had chicken beef and kafta protein pack delicious fresh off The grill served hot.. the sides were just right perfect for my meal I got the humus, veggies and rice..if your low on your protein and want a delicious meal come hit the spot.

Ive tried other Mediterranean food, but I always come back here. The shawarma is great, the cucumber yogurt is fantastic, and the potato salad is my absolute fave. I usually call to place my order as soon as they open, since I know they usually take 40-45 minutes. But the wait is worth it. The customer service could be better, and I noticed that the portions are getting smaller, but nonetheless, the food is tasty.

It s horrible now, they charged me for regular 20$ dollar plate for 50$ bucks, I feel like I just got ripped off. Last Saturday I ordered the regular chicken kebab plate. They told me they were gonna charge me 30$ dollars with side of humus, ended up charging me 50 an my plate didn t haven nearly the same amount chicken before. Just one little breast in small to go plate once I got home.I use to love this place but it s horrible now with new management. I m calling my bank but i wouldn t recommend this place to anyone anymore.

After waiting forever, we ate a pita and lettuce wrap with tahini sauce for $9 each. There was 4-5 tiny pieces of lamb in our so called lamb shawarma. How much more stingy can you get! Total rip off.

I was very disappointed in this place! Definitely not authentic mediterranean. Rice looks and taste like mexican rice, very salty. The chicken and beef also very salty. If you want authentic mediterranean DO NOT go here! At this point not sure what kind of food I ate. I am so confused but definitely not mediterranean food. Looks like a chicken plate that s all! No grilled onion or tomatoes like authentic mediterranean food usually have. Only shaved beef and chicken (Definitely not Shawarma) This place needs to change their name to chicken and beef plates with mexican rice. Waste of my money and lunch time.

I had the chicken kebobs w cucumber yogurt and the salad and it was very very good. The chicken was flavorful and tender, the rice was superbly seasoned, and the garlic sauce was heaven in a tiny plastic cup. The pita perfectly complimented the meal. I highly recommend. Not the cheapest place but definitely a fine value for the quality and quantity of food.

Amazing food for a truly great price. People are kind and attentive to the order even though theyre very fast pace when busy. Fresh veggies delicious hummus and wonderful garlic sauce. Personally not a fan of their pita bread but their dessert definitely makes up for that! Their bathroom was lovely with a clean floor and plenty of room to sit down on. Definitely didnt expect to be greeted by the doorman when entering the wonderful restroom. The music even plays in there when youre taking care of business. Will definitely come back soon!

Our first time today, and will definitely be coming back! We had the veggie plate, mediterranean salad, hummus, falafel wrap, lentil soup , tabbouleh, and baklava. Everything was delicious,and the staff was very courteous and quick. Great vegan options

I write this while I stand and wait. I cannot believe how slow and lack of urgency in filling orders!!! Wake up staff and owner! Called in my mixed shwarma order and it was screwed up when I got there. They have to remake it but even then, I am waiting over 15 mins now. The order was placed by phone at 630pm. It is now 715pm. Goodness sakes! And because they screwed up, my tabouleh is also all out so I cant even have my side! Geez. What a let down for my 1st time here. What they should have done was give me my messed up plate and provide the missing beef sharwarma so I can be on my way. Apologize so I can feel like they care about customer service and will want to return again. I went home and had the food for the very first time. It is really tasty!! Unfortunately, the pace of order fulfillment is horrifically slow. They have got to step it up and be better at processing orders timely. They need a big push! Dont think I will return because the drive was no fun. The wait and disappointment during pick up didnt help. I rather go back to my usual spot or find a new Mediterranean place instead.
