Tony's Pizza

I ordered take out at Tony's on a Sunday evening which was perfect timing as there was no one eating in and I didn't have to wait long. I got the 2 slice deal where you choose either a drink or garlic knots. I chose the garlic knots along with my Margarita and Mediterranean pizza slices. The Margarita was delicious and the Mediterranean pizza was large and filling. Like absolutely stacked with ingredients which were good. My only critiques are that the garlic knots were not that well seasoned and they were warm on the outside but room temp on the inside, and this was even with them wrapped in foil and eating them shortly after ordering. There was also parmesan sprinkled on the Margarita (the packet kind) and I genuinely can't remember if I saw it on the display prior to ordering but I'd rather not have it on my pizza. Also the Mediterranean is a sauce-less pizza which isn't mentioned on the description and I had regular black olives on my slice rather than kalamata olives, however, it was still good and I enjoyed my slice. Overall, I desperately miss the Tony's that used to be inside the Whitwood Mall waaay back in the day. I still think of their single slice of new york-style cheese pizza which had either fresh oregano or marjoram sprinkled on it. Simple but fantastic. Anyways, I'd like to try Tony's again and perhaps place an order instead of buying by the slice.

Tony’s has been my favorite pizza place since I was a kid but they’re going downhill, crust so this it’s falling apart and it’s just soggy and not the pizza I used to be, it’s sad someplace so great now won’t even spare $.50 worth of dough to make a good pizza. Pizza by the Slice 🍕

This place has history - from being in the Whittwood Mall to their return in the almost same location - old time Whittier residents will remember this classic!

Food: An assortment of pizza to choose. The pizza case had margarita, three cheese, crepesi, white, meat lover, and pepperoni. They have sandwiches, strombolis, and salads.

Service: The pizza maker was cool and took my order - was eating my crispy pizza and meatball with parm in short time.

Last word: Coming back!

Wow! 1st time here. You walk in and see a huge variety of pizzas. We got a slice and a drink. The slices are huge, you might not be able to finish it. Didn't realize it was going to be specialty slices. Also, extremely reasonable prices, which was a nice surprise!Very impressed! Will definitely go back!

Tony's Pizza is a great little hole in the wall. Friendly hard-working staff. Great selection of pizzas you can buy by the slice or whole. I even made an extra large pizza out of one of each slice of about three-quarters of what they offer. It was $30 but worth it because it was like a delicious sampler platter of what they offered. I also ordered two slices the second time I came which comes with your choice of either soda or salad. They also have good Stromboli and calzones. They have a good variety of Italian style food. I haven't tried it all but I will surely come back again to try the rest of it from time to time. My only complaint is that sometimes the tables stay dirty after people have eaten. But after I told them of the dirtiness of the tables someone came out immediately and cleaned them up. I also like the old style pictures on the walls and the fact that it is a pretty cozy place to eat.

Italian restaurant/ Italian food but play Spanish music? I would expect at minimum Italian music. Listening to Spanish music while sitting in the dinning room. Yeah very out of place. Staff is nice and professional and always helpful.

What a shame! Loved the food, but showed up 33 minutes before closing and got turned away while there was still people eating there and people picking up food. Thats how you lose a customer for good. Wont be back to a place I frequently ordered online from. Update your hours on Google so other customers dont get a rude attitude when they can just go somewhere else

My fiance and I dined in yesterday evening. Not very many people so its kind of more our forte super affordable price for what we ordered. We got a pepperoni pizza and a meat lovers slice each and 20 wings. Buffalo wings from heaven sauce to die for spicy need to be warned but amazing burn its worth the burn. They were super friendly super respectful super quick superb customer service. Go TO TONYS PEOPLE Please and thank you.

Great pizza, very nice staff. However, Tony s gluten free pizza was NOT GLUTEN FREE. I am allergic to wheat and my wife is allergic to gluten. We ordered two GF pizzas, and we both had a significant allergic reaction to the pizzas. It had to be due to wheat given the nature of the reaction I had, with which I am very familiar. Also of note, the staff took precautions to try to avoid cross contamination, and the toppings weren t the type that would contain wheat (pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, and olives). Dietary restrictions: See above beware of the gluten free pizza.

If you want a taste of real AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD this is the place to come. I am a security guard for the Whitwood and I had their baked Ziti and O M G, it is honestly the best pasta I have ever had in our area here, and the garlic bread actually has real garlic cloves all chopped up and sprinkled on the bread it is awesome! Take it from their guard, the food is OUTSTANDING if you don t like it the problem is YOU NOT THEM, CAPICE!

This is perhaps one of the only edible pizza places in East LA. Certainly around Whittier/La Habra/Hacienda Heights. Its not quite NYC style. It is very similar to the pizza you would find at a chain like Don Henricos. It is pretty good and I will be coming back. At least you arent shoveling sweet tomato sauce and dough down your mouths like the other places in East LA.

This place has gone downhill, it took 40 minutes for a cheese pizza that was greasy as hell and the pizza maker laughs if youre waiting a while in the store likes its a joke.. Ive worked in a pizza place before. It doesnt take 40 min for cheese pizza. The pizza was undercooked after 40 minutes too. And yes, your workers were rude and your pizza did take 40 minutes. And yes my wife and I both had a horrible experience there and thats why we both left a bad review. Get better at being a restaurant owner and stop making excuses.

Loved this place when it was in the Whitewood Mall! I am glad it survived and still up and running. I feel the taste changed over the years but still super delicious. I love all the new different styles of pizza now. But nothing beats getting a slice of cheese pizza, grabbing an Orange Julius and heading into the arcade.

I ordered a large cheese pizza with extra cheese. The dough and sauce were delicious! However the cheese is of very low quality and had a rubbery texture. Please fix this issue and you will easily be a 5 star.

I usually dont eat pizza because of acid reflux but I really like how they dont put a lot of sauce. They also can make a pizza without sauce! The dough is so yummy and chewy. Being so close to my office is a plus!

It s pretty decent if you wanna just get a slice of pizza, but dough is still quite raw but the garlic knots are so GOOD and the marinara sauce too. I recommend those, quite chatty staff although but everything else is good!

Used to be the best... Now the worse pizza in Whittier. This is not a Fake review. The Garlic knots were burned from the bottom. The Salad that came with Family meal never got delivered and the Pizza was so salty we tossed it. It was a Uber eats delivery and I payed 90 bucks for garbage.

I don t usually do reviews but this place was a solid 8/10. The calzone was really good the only thing I did not like about it was it was a bit too doughy on the edges so a bit too much bread and that it didn t have the crunch factor I was looking for, but this is just me being very nit-picky. The pizza was super good again 8/10 the crust didn t have that crunch I m use to but it was the closest thing to NJ pizza that I had in awhile. I was going into eating here with no expectations so if you re reading this trying to decide whether you should try it out go into this place with no expectations because you will be blown away! I highly recommend trying them out for yourselves! The other thing is I have no idea how the staff is as I ordered delivery through Postmates, but whoever made my pizza thank you for taking me back to my hometown!

This might be my favorite pizzeria in Whittier. Its very tasty. The cheese and toppings are great, and the crust is delicious--it is just the right balance of chewy and toasty.

I ordered from this place many times last time I ordered the same chicken cesar salad, came with no dressing at that point I know mistakes happen tried to call the restaurant, I was put on hold for 10 min I tried to call again couple times with no answer when I got ahold of someone the told me to come pick up the dressing and thats the only resolve they came up with no other solution, wich it doesnt make sense I ordered delivery because I dont feel like going out Im giving one not because of the food mistake its for the lack of customer service

Ive been wanting to try this place for months and finally did tonight and it was really disappointing. We called our order in and arrived 40 min later to find out they didnt have our order written. They said they could make it in 15 so we waited. They got it out around that time frame, which was nice. We ordered a large 2 topping pizza with mozzarella sticks. I didnt notice until I got home but the lady ringing me up overcharged for the pizza. Based on their website the total shouldve been about $25 without tax. Mine was $30 after tax. So it was about $2 overcharged (probably ringed me up for an x-large). Normally I wouldnt care but theyve already messed up my order... The pizza itself is okay, really greasey. The mozzarella sticks are good and I love the marinara. I wouldve given 3 or 4 stars if the order had gone smoothly.

Worst pizza I have had in awhile. Sadly, I cant think of anything good about their pizza. All I asked for was pepperoni and jalapeño peppers. Im impressed at how terrible they made such a simple pizza. All of the toppings SLID OFF of my slice of pizza. It wasnt just oily. It was a mess. The pizza had no flavor and had nothing going for it. If you want a good piece of pizza, go anywhere else. Maybe try their pastas or bread and you may have better luck.

Tonys has been our go to place for pizza for a long time. However, today my wife got pizza for herself and grandsons and an antipasto salad for me. The employee making the salad was not wearing a mask or gloves. When my wife told me I tossed the salad. Covid scares me.

The people here from the owner to the delivery driver are the VERY BEST PEOPLE! Ive been eating there since I was a teenager and whittwood was an indoor mall. Mike the owner will bend over backwards to make you feel at home even if youre requesting something special he will make it happen. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC FOOD! Im a regular for the cheese pizza at least twice a month and if the plain sounding cheese pizza brings a customer back imagine the rest of the food. The baked ziti the calzone the garlic knots all AMAZING and the home made taste and quality never fails to deliver. Everyone should visit Tonys pizza for a slice and more.

Decent pizza. Garlic bread is the best. There are so many pizza places in this area so it can get hard choosing the right spot. Tony has decent pizza for a good cost. Its not the best but its not the worse. I wasnt really impressed by their regular pepperoni pizza but maybe I need to try more of their selections. The one thing I really liked was the garlic bread. Its a large roll thats soft and tasty.

Bomb! Pizza by the slice and whole pies to go, sit out on the dining terrace and enjoy the scenery. Same Tonys pizza that was inside Whitwood when it was an indoor mall. (Excellent spawn point on Pokemon go, if youre into that kinda thing lol)

Tonys pizza was great! Great specials and selection of pizza. I appreciate when pizza places dont just do cookie cutter pizza, the atmosphere was great and the selection of pizza was phenomenal and there huge portion s too.

Have known the owners for 40 years, and the two sons, Mike and Dominic are the sweetest, BEST PIZZA AROUND, Very authentic, wide variety, my favorites are simply all of them!!! They have the Bianca, margarita, chicken and artichoke, Mediterranean, stuffed mushroom, meat lovers, they have it all and you can create your own. The best most amazing flavor, after youve tried it you dont want to go anywhere else for pizza. They put the freshest ingredients vegetables meats and their cheeses are amazing along with their sauce nothing beats it! They also have the best green salads, and a pasta salad lasagna spaghetti eggplant, it goes on, they really need to clean this place, thank you guys for being so repetitively amazing!!! Love your best and most loyal customer

Rude service this place is under new management these reviews are all for the old management. The owner of this place is rude, last time we went there he yelled at us for asking about a special, the food isnt how it used to be either, ever since the management change.

Didnt have pizza but had a craving for garlic knots. Tonys garlic knots were not made from pizza crust but some small dinner roll. Unacceptable.
