Madres Brunch is a breakfast and brunch restaurant that offers a wide range of delicious dishes that are perfect for starting your day. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with classic decor that adds to the charm of the restaurant.
The menu features classic breakfast items such as pancakes, waffles, and eggs, as well as more unique dishes like avocado toast, birria sandwich, and breakfast sandwiches. They also offer a variety of drinks including coffee, latte, tea, and juices.
Overall, Madres Brunch is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves breakfast and brunch. With its delicious food and cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect place to start your day off on the right foot.
Met up with our daughters for a quick lunch. The menu has a lot to chose from. Really was a challenge to pick something as it was our first time here. The Beverly salad was a bit underwhelming. Steak was flavorful and the greens were crisp and fresh but overall the cilantro dressing and the balsamic dressing don’t mix well. The omelette was good as were the birria Benedict’s. The French toast were the tasty surprise. Staff is super nice. Location is busy might have to wait depending on the day. Hopefully we pay another visit to see if my rating can move up or down.

We had always heard of this place and decided to give it a try. The food was great and the service was ok. We had the Michelada flight which included strawberry, mango, watermelon and lastly the regular one. They were all good but a little on the sweet side. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He had no complains, the steak was nicely made. I had the madres chilaquiles which were also very good but a little on the spicy side. The birria on the chilaquiles was perfectly seasoned and soft. The portions here are HUGE, so make sure you come with a big appetite. All in all we would come again to try more of their dishes.

The food here is delicious. But my favorite was definitely the coffee. Wow, hands down, best lattes I've ever had! Champagne Flights were delicious. Margarita flights were delicious and very generous with the tequila.
I highly recommend coming here. It's definitely worth the wait. If you want to avoid the wait, come during the week. Service by staff was warm and welcoming. They genuinely were happy to see everyone who walked through the door.

Amazing service provided by Cari, she was so attentive & she had the best recommendations. Based on her recommendations, we tried the Special Coffee Flight with Oatmilk, Americano, Pastor Omelette, Chilaquiles Verdes with Chicken, and Nutella French Toast.
We will start with the Special Coffee Flight which consisted of 4 sweet drinks: Mazapán iced coffee, Horchata iced coffee, Pistachio iced coffee and Abuelita iced coffee. The Mazapán iced coffee was a little textured for me since it had chunks of Mazapán in it and I wasn’t a fan. The Horchata iced coffee was satisfying & I loved it. It was the right amount of bittersweet. The Pistachio iced coffee was way too sweet & had only a touch of pistachio. The Abuelita iced coffee was on the bitter side since it tasted like straight cocoa. Americano was a simple brew.
Pastor Omelette was delicious and super filling. It was packed with meat & had the right red salsa to compliment it. Chilaquiles Verdes were also delicious but not spicy. You definitely need to order more salsa on the side if you want them on the wet side however the chicken was a perfect addition. Nutella French Toast was top tier!! It was the star of the show although it was sweet.. the fried plantains took it to another level. The slices were huge and easily shareable amongst 2 people.
Overall listen to your servers, Thank you Cari for the amazing suggestions & letting us know that this establishment is known for appealing to the sweet tooth. Next time I will ask for an Americano or espresso since I enjoy my heavy coffee flavored drinks. I will definitely be returning to this location or another as they are so welcoming & keep you updated with their wait time. You could wait 45 mins to be seated so join the waitlist in advanced through the Yelp app. Also once seated they will bring your food as quickly as possible.

This is a for the gram place but the foods waayyy over priced for the quality. Ordered chilaquiles and they were too spicy to even eat them. Breakfast for two was $100!!! Insane.

I like to support small businesses so Ill try to stay positive but I will have to be honest. It was crowded. Street parking was challenging. The place is really small so they have a waiting list. The portions are huge and totally shareable. The service was fine. The environment was a bit noisy and, like I said, crowded. The food was pretty good. My carne asada chilaquiles had about 7 tortillas worth of chips. The green salsa was ok. I had never seen such a fat French toast! The prices were very high! I guess they gotta pay high rent in that area.

I was expecting a lot more from all the tik tok reviews but then it makes you wonder if the tik tokers actually know about food? Do they cook? Is salty food for them and amazing experience?? So I guess it has to do with expectations and the food was not good at all, they charge you for everything and the food does not taste great.

The food is really nothing special, I order the the DIVORCIADOS and their take for 2 eggs on a tiny tortilla for 18 bucks its an over kill, would I come back, I am sure I wont be back. The wife had the chilaquiles rojos, if she would have not added the egg, which was not egg for 2.50 no protein on a smash of tortillas with sour cream and old quack!! For 19.50 overpriced.

I recently visited Madres for brunch, and unfortunately, it was not the place for me. The food was basic at best. I ordered the chilaquiles, and to be honest, the sauce tasted like it came straight from a Las Palmas can. If that s what I wanted, I could have stayed home. My date had the French toast, and the pink frosting threw us off it had a distinct food coloring taste that really put us off (excuse our palates for noticing everything). We also ordered a side of potatoes, which were hard and lacked any real flavor. The tab came out to around $90 for our meal, which included two lemonades, a Topo Chico, and water definitely not worth the price for what we got. The ambiance was also a letdown. It was hot, uncomfortable, and loud far from cozy or enjoyable. Overall, the service and atmosphere just didn t match up to expectations. I wouldn t recommend Madres, nor will I be returning. If youre in the area, Jack s on Whittier Blvd or Mimos up the road offer far better brunch options.

This place is terrible I went out to eat with my family and it was not it the food took long and not only that it was cold and it s was very over priced and also they charge you for everything like for an example I wanted a refill of my drink and they charged me for it. And trust me do not go to this place cuz you will regret it cuz I went their because I seen people posting photos about this place and it looked so good and they also have pastries and stuff that s so good but the other dishes are so gross .

This is definitely a place that has more fame than anything else...the place is not ugly, it is spacious and very open...the dishes are very large but for the same reason I consider that in some, like the French bread, it is only sight and zero taste. ...the mother chilaquiles are with consommé and birria meat but in reality they are with red sauce and they put a little consommé to bathe them which is insufficient...when you ask for a little more they dont inform you but it costs 5 dls for the service in Our case was not good...more like half a despot...everyone is bilingual...but it is definitely not really rich and the prices are high...we spent 100 dls for 2 people...I could see several tables of children who They order the pancakes and they dont finish them because apart from being huge, they look super dry... I guess they decorate them so much for that reason to make your eyes fall in love but they lack flavor. .I will not return

Very bad experience for my first time going and not going again. We were rushed eating and being there when it wasnt even busy. They closed at 4 and we went at 1 and they were cleaning up and asking if we were done eating when we were still eating. The food is not all that either.

Ridiculous this place ended up charging us for a bottle of water. Which the server asks us lol If they would ve told me they were gonna charge for the water I would ve either declined or said yes, but they never stated that it was an extra charge for water. Food didn t have flavor the Chilaquiles were mild. The only thing that made flavored was the Birria on madre chilaquiles. (I had asked the waiter if the Chilaquiles were good and she said that they were but that the green ones were not spicy ) which was a lie because green and red has no flavor. My friend ordered the green ones and I ordered the red ones whack today, June 7 2024 Avocado toast was whack. Bread was thick and not flavored. Charged us for simple sour cream for our Chilaquiles. I would not come here again. the omelette, shrimp and octopus was okay otherwise from save your money. Drinks were acceptable. Also the side on the left does not have air conditioner where we were seated. They only had a fan and they turned it on when we asked, but then they turned it off. Bill was $195 that s not bad but there food was. The presentation was good and don t get fooled

East-LA-Chic! The place is overflowing with Latino pop culture pride, without the celebrating gang subculture. Its amazingly done. No references to the hard life, just happy positive vibes all around. Never been happier to be with my people. The food is artistically prepared. And yummy. Well priced.

My green chilaquiles were so bomb!! They cooked my over medium eggs perfectly. The portion was pretty big, I didn t add protein and I was stuff. I got a Vanilla cold brew, it was strong just how I like it . Vegetarian options: This place has a few vegetarian options and they all sounded so good!

Wow, this is such a popular place, what we loved: super bomb coffee offerings! We had the yummy Chilaquiles and all the pancakes/waffles...the food is more like large desert plates, so much sugar (it was a birthday celebration, so this was kind of appropriate). I highly recommend The Waffles on Fire, such a cool fiery show perfect for a birthday celeb and we loved the coffee flights just as much and the very unique flavors!!! The atmosphere is quite loud, decor is cute with a coupe of selfie-ready walls to capture memories here. We came on a weekend and it was super packed, lots of diners so expect this place to be bit crowded elbow-wise... and be forewarned, the wait for a table is a long one. On the upside, the waiters were courteous and helpful in explaining their menu options and ready make recommendations for those of us with food sensitivities.

First time going to Madre s. Got the chilaquiles verdes. Little dry, so I recommend asking for extra green sauce in the side. Atmosphere is so so. Doesn t really feel like you are in a restaurant. Dont recommend the omelette since theyre not price transparent. It says on the menu 14 dollars for an omelette and then the moment we order, the waitress told me that I would be charged for the meat inside so it went from 14 dollars to 25 dollars for a regular omelette. Might as well change it to eggs itself for the menu. Oh and it doesnt say on the menu about being charged for meat.

I had high expectations for this place considering theres usually a line for brunch. Food was mediocre. Not friendly at all to those with dietary restrictions. They would not allow for substitutions even when I offered to pay extra. One of us ordered a fruit plate and that was really good - a wide variety and generous serving. Another diner in our group ordered the huevos divorciados. The potato was advertised as baked but it came boiled and tasted like it was cooked in dirty tap water. Some of the coffees on the flights were alright but overall too sweet, more like a dessert than a latte. The black coffee was see through and had little to no flavor. I added an extra star for service because they did at least offer to take one of the black coffees off the bill.

A group of 14 of us went on Saturday (3/16) - we called before to make sure we could show up and inquired about alcoholic drinks. They never disclosed that they had their license revoked and could not serve alcohol. We get to our table and the menu still shows their mimosas and other options for alcoholic beverages. We tried to order and it was at that point that the server told us there were not selling alcohol because their license was revoked. We proceeded to stay because where is a group of 14 going to go after we had already waited time to get a table. Food was okay - but we came for the boozy brunch. It was poor taste to have that as false advertisement- they could have at least told us when we checked in that they were no longer serving alcohol.

Staff were very kind Ambiance was great Iced Matcha was good But the food was not. I got the red chilaquiles because they were supposed to be spicy but unfortunately they were not. The salsa was not flavorful, felt like the salsa was from a can. I was not pleased with the flavor at all. My sister got a hazelnut waffle and presentation was very nice but waffles were very basic, nothing special besides the Nutella spreading and strawberries on it.

We went to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday. It was so packed but not crowded. There was a constant line of people eagerly waiting to get inside. The food was delicious. Got the birria chilaquiles rojos. Definitely not what I expected. Also no alcohol because no licenses yet.

I really enjoyed eating here solo. The service was fast and efficient. The pistachio latte is delish and with a nice tasty surprise. Parking: Very limited HC parking down the street not too far, but for someone with limited walking, it may be a workout for them. Good luck if you get parking in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Yes, pancakes saturated with sweet stuff. Wheelchair accessibility: very tight seating inside, but I am sure they will accommodate you.

Madres has some work to do. The ambiance is nice with the artwork and green walls. It is uncomfortable with the tables so close to each other. It felt uncomfortable having to squeeze through to get to the table. The menus are sheets of papers that have been torn up and have food stains. They could definitely work on this. The horchata latte was good. The food is good, but it lacks flavor.

Good but not GREAT. My wife and I ordered the hot chocolate, bacon, and the frenchy . I d rate the hot chocolate a 7.9. Wasn t the best . Tasted more like milk than chocolate . The bacon on the other hand was amazing . I d give it a 10 tasted amazing . Not to thick so I didn t feel full after 1 bite . Okay, now on to the frenchy . The frenchy was okay. The presentation was amazing and looked appetizing. As far as the taste it was a bit dull. With each bite my taste buds became more and more blind . The taste ended up becoming a mouth full of sugar. I d rate it a 7.1 . If you like the taste of sugar then this is for you. But in my opinion, the taste is too sweet and a bit bland. Overall, the atmosphere is nice , the service is okay, and parking was empty . All around is recommended coming here early with your family .

For food I got the Frenchie, which was 17 dollars for two slices. Also overpriced, and nothing particularly special about it. It tasted okay, but I wouldn t get it again. The best thing I had was the bacon, which was crunchy and had good flavor. Overall I don t believe I would come back, just because the food is disappointing and expensive.

Don t believe the hype. Let s start with the service. Our waitress, was NOT attentive. She seemed nice when taking our order but after that FORGET IT. We didn t get our drinks until after we got our food. She forgot our water and we had to ask for it from another waitress and even she seemed bothered. The waitress refilled our coffee later and forgot the creamer and our coffee got cold. She didn t seem bothered at all when we brought it up. Again no solution for her not being attentive and being forgetful. Now let s talk food. Our food was cold when received. The chilaquiles were dry and had no flavor. When brought up, the waitress didn t ask to remake, order anything else or even take off the bill. She offered no solution. She just said she would let the cooks in the back to do better for others. For another plate, she asked if we wanted tortillas as it goes with the plate. Apparently they charge extra for 3 small tortillas. We didn t get a heads up or any type of courtesy. Last I checked, restaurants usually provide tortillas with dishes especially if it pairs well with them. It s ridiculous. It was the worst experience ever. For the prices, it was not worth what we got. Save your money and go to a restaurant where customer service and good quality food is priority.

It was my first time there. I ordered their trendy journey pancakes. The flavor was not good at all, food coloring perhaps but nothing strawberry at all. I would order something else. Not worth $18! My total was around $26 for the pancakes and a hot latte.

the food looks good & it was decent. the pancake wasnt worth it though. paying $18 for 3 pancakes & it was a bit chewy. I can make pancakes at home for cheaper. we also didnt get that much strawberries.

Place was not what I expected. Food wasnt good. Lettuce on sandwich and on side was molded and old. Then when we left after getting a Military discount they chased us down because the thought we didnt pay full bill. Never going to return or recommended to anyone.

Wait for more than 1 hour, when u inside, the wait for the food is another 35 minutes, the food is expensive, the portion is small, if you ask for table for 7 persons they charge 20% more!! Even if the food is good, doesnt not work the long time to wait and the expensive of the food Dont go there.

The wait was not bad, about 25 minutes on a Saturday morning. I enjoyed The One, it was delicious with the birria jus. The pistachio, horchata and especially mazapan coffee were very good and my friends loved the pistachio waffles and birria omelet. Come hungry!

So excited to try this place only to be super let down! The ambiance is so cold feeling, it feels like a doctors office thats trying to be a restaurant. Fluorescent lighting is not it! The food lacked flavor BIG TIME, almost....no seasoning at all(?) Really big let down for the price of everything! Forget about the Chilaquiles altogether, burnt tortillas and again.....NO flavor!! I dont understand! The service was great, though, and the servers are all super friendly and attentive I was super confused where all the 5 reviews came from until I saw people say they get free Mimosas for posting good reviews :( Wouldnt recommend, nor will we be back, sadly.

The vibe inside is very cute and welcoming. They have a heavy flow of customers so they are always busy Im sure. The food was really good and tasty. My food couldve been more fresher (Hot). If you want to try this place either show up early or dont have plans after.

Went to try this place from an Instagram post I saw. Ill start off with parking. Had to park way up the street from the location. Very loud inside, hard to hear our server. Food was good but very expensive. For 2 people we ended up paying $90 plus doors for pancakes, chilaquiles, and an omelette, with 2 coffee for myself and a sample set of 4 coffee for my wife. After the tip, my final payout was well over $100 bucks. In my personal opinion, its not worth it. Save your cash and pay half the price for the whole family somewhere else.

The place is not spectacular, which should be compared with the prices $$$$, the food will surprise you, it tastes good, it is well served and decorated, in my opinion the portions are very large and you will always find tables that They leave it looking or order takeaway. The service is good, sometimes it takes a while, but maybe there is a lack of staff, but everyone is very friendly. As I mentioned, the prices are a little high, a breakfast for 2 cost $65 without including the tip. Maybe its not a place to talk since they always have very loud music and it makes it difficult for you to have a talk with your companions.

Wife ordered the red salsa chilaquiles but they dry, she didnt finish them. Asked for red salsa and it helped a little. I ordered the Mole chilaquiles these were good. So ordered the pistachio waffles since she didnt finish the chilaquiles. Waffles were really dry, we had to soak them in syrup, and the rite aid ice cream on top was ok. In addition they need to keep the doors closed, flies kept coming in and becomes a bother when your eating.. Bigger cups of water would be nice, they give you kid size water cups.haha

Its definitely expensive so we wont be dining here frequently but its delicious enough to bring friends and family. Im hoping the high prices are for fair wages for the workers.

Madres Brunch is a cafe that serves mexican style brunch items. Parking was really easy and can be found behind the restaurant. I arrived around 9:45 AM and did not have to wait, but once I left around 10:30 AM it was already getting really busy so use the Yelp waitlist for convenience. The cafe itself wasn t too fancy. It felt like an office space with a homey feel and instagram decorations. There were a lot of tables. Honestly the food here is kind of overpriced. I had the al pastor omelette for $19 and portions were small for what its priced at. It didnt come with a side of toast or potatoes either. The omelette itself was just eggs and al pastor, no vegetables. It didnt even taste like al pastor if im being honest...like there was no pineapple in there. I think the French toast for $16 was a better value because it comes in 2 big slabs of toast. Our server citlaly was nice and attentive. She refilled my water quickly whenever I needed it. Everyone here is super friendly and would always ask if everything was ok.

Our server was very pleasant and friendly but did not get our order correct. My sister asked for extra crispy bacon in her omelette but it was not. Her omelette was just mediocre. I asked for a crispy waffle and extra extra extra crispy bacon. I told the server that most of the time I have to send the bacon back but I really don t want to so please make sure they cook it to the point where it s almost falling apart. I also asked for warm syrup. Well the bacon was not even close to being crispy and it took them forever to bring it back again. It still wasn t cooked enough but I did not want to send it back again. The waffle was not crispy and it got very tough when it began to cool. The waitress never even remembered that she did not bring my warm syrup. When we first sat down my sister asked for water and the glass was dirty and there was no ice in it. When I went to move the salt and pepper shaker out of the way they were all sticky and the floor was littered with trash. And then when I was just about finished eating I noticed a black hair on the fruit that was on the plate around my waffle. Definitely will not be going back here.

So the food was good, but not out of this world. I had the Ensenada Omlette. It was good, but the price was a more then what the portion served. This place is really about being different, so I took that into consideration. The meal came with a decent but small salad and half a small bake potato. FYI, on the menu it list a bake potato, so I assumed the whole potato? Like outback..lol These 2 sides seem odd for breakfast/brunch meal. My meal qas $19. The omlette was really good but small in size and its filling. We also ordered the journey to share, which was 2 pancakes served with a strawberry type syrup. Now this has a great presentation and delivery as they add the syrup in a very unique way at your table. NOTE: Make sure to ask for more syrup as what is served initially will nit be enough. With that said, this was very tasty and like I said, it is something people are attracted to because of the presentation. Service was an A plus. Our server was on top of our needs and very receptive. Always smiling and happy. They hit this part of the business right on the spot. Environment, I am still on the fence in this area. The place still has some of it old looks. Paint and neon sign can only do so much. Its not bad but for the prices I would expect more, once again...just my opinion. They could have spend a little more and really have a great atmosphere (for example Rokka, just a few doors down). It still has a Cafe feel. Typical chairs and table. A little tight for what you are paying. In the end, 3 people (only 1 had coffee, me and the other person had water) eating with the extra dish $100, tip included. I tipped 20%. Final thoughts: I am not 100% sold. I know they have were and have been super busy. But I am not sold that this will be long lasting unless they make some changes along the way. I see them more as a social media fad. This is my honest opinion. Its really hard to build a clientele on those prices. Oh and the music videos on the TV, were more of a distraction. I love that the owner was trying a new idea and concept. But they need to look at making some changes and feedback to be a total success. I hope my honesty helps people. Please always try it for yourself as my taste may not be yours. Steve Parking: Parking is not close and you may need to use the parking structure or walk?

Not what I expected when seeing this place on social media. Tables are so close together you feel like youre eating w the person next to you. Got seated pretty quick but had to wait like 10 min for our mimosa flight (3 mimosas) and 30 for our madres chilaquiles. We were given the check while we were still drinking the mimosa and my friend was still eating. It looks way more fun on IG than what it actually is. The food was good though. Not worth the brunch hype.

We went on a Saturday at 10am. The place was already busy and took about 20min to get the table. The menu said that for parties of 6 or more, we would be auto-grated 20%, wasnt happy about that but we paid it. The food was not good, we got 4 dishes and 1 was decent, the rest, poblano eggs benedicts, omelets and chilaquiles were not good. We got a agua fresca flight that was $12, the cups were about 6 ounces, and the Jamaica one tasted like it was syrup and not fresh. Portions are small. We wont be back, not worth the price.

Overall I d give this place a 8.5/10. I had the birria omelette, but the birria didn t have much flavor and neither did the consomé. I was a little half ways done with my food and the waiter had already given me my tab, I felt rushed to finish my food. The restaurant has a good vibe, great place for brunch. Coffee was really good and so were the French toast.
