The Stand - American Classics Redefined

I’ve been to other “The Stand” restaurants and it’s always been a great experience. This is no different and a way more lively interior setup.

I’d had their Chinese chicken chopped salad without wontons and no white crispy noodles along with the chicken bites. Overall the lunch was excellent, delicious and filling. Customer service was excellent also.

I’d definitely come back to this location to try their other menu items.

*First timer* I was first in line to place what I wanted and when we got home,my food wasn't even there!🙄 needless to say my husband had to go back and get it. The person at the register was 4 months new he said. The food was ok,nothing special,a bit toopricy if you ask me as well. Almost 13 dollars for a sandwich and a burger. 6 dollars for a regular hotdog.

There was no line to order when I came in the early afternoon. I ordered the Stand Burger medium with regular french fries and a drink. They had a bar inside and many tables but I decided to eat outside on their patio. After ordering, they give you a number stick and they will bring out your food to your table. This was very nice and I haven't had this happen before at a burger place.

The food took about 10 minutes and the employee who brought our food was very friendly. They went back inside to bring out the popular sauces for the fries. I really liked the sweet chili aioli. It went well with their fries. As for the burger, it was pretty good but not anything super special. It was a good size though and I felt full 3/4 into eating it. But their fries were good! They were fried well but the portion is a bit small. Their blueberry lemonade was amazing though! I haven't tried other lemonades before but theirs was really addicting. It wasn't too sweet or sour and tasted subtly of blueberries.

The Stand is a pretty good burger place to go if you want higher quality burgers that are filling. I would come back again.

Decided to give them a try because I got a BOGO deal, lol!! They have outdoor seating – dog friendly. Actually, it is mostly an outdoor concept, there is a sliding door that opens up the patio and is connected to the bar… they offer an extensive menu, bar snacks, salads, sandos, bowls, hot dogs, wraps, shakes. Service slow when we ordered but the other server that dropped off our food was super nice! Decided on the ABC burger and Western, It was so nice of them to have samples that day! Got to sampling the chips and pickles! I wasn’t too fond of the chips so I’m glad we ordered the fries with our burgers! Both burgers juicy and flavorful! Give them a try!

When we came we ordered a veggie burger for my sister, which came out with a beef patty. We sent the burger back, but had to keep checking in with the kitchen to see where the replacement was. By the time it got to the table everyone else was done eating, and my sister was upset and just ready to go.

Service here is really very poor, it seems much harder than it should be to communicate with the workers. Food was just okay, but I didn't think it held a candle to The Habit. It's expensive, too, since you have to order everything separately (no meals here).

Honestly I wasn't a big fan of this place or the environment. Something about the "modern" restaurant look is totally off-putting and unwelcome, imo, but good restaurants thrive in spite of iffy aesthetic choices. Unfortunately the menu and the food just weren't there either, and the service we received with our meal was the final straw. We haven't been back and don't plan on trying it again.

We had seen this restaurant on one of the food channels and were so happy to see that one had opened close to us. We ordered curbside pickup, which was quick and easy. We tried a couple of different things, and everything was delicious! We will definitely be coming back.

Everything here is unique from the fries to the burgers and even the sauces. The abc burger is phenomenal and the taste is next level. Even the sauce there is something different from store bought condiments. You can tell the difference. Great for a date night too.

I love how amazing the restaurant is where Burger Grub used to be at until it was changed. At least I got to enjoy sharing burgers, green beans, fries, and onion rings on behalf of American meal. This burger restaurant has been around for 21 years since 2003.

This place took over The Grub Burger Bar. I tried it today and loved the friendly service we received. We were regulars at The Grub and will miss it, but The Stand is just as great! Good menu selections/items. A lot more things to choose from. Its fun and inviting. Come see for yourselves! Try the frozen Paloma. Delicious! Vegetarian options: Some items are vegetarian. Food takes a bit of time to be brought to tables. Delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. We like watching Dodger games here. Did not prefer the red ginger green beans. Its a sweet sauce that the beans are cooked in and I simply prefer savory flavored green beans.

Great food, although it was packed due to the World Series. We had to clear the table but glad we found one. Food arrived promptly. Vegetarian options: The Veggie Stand and Falafel wrap were delicious, as were the sweet potato fries. The regular fries seemed a little stale tonight.

They have cross contamination for all the food deemed vegan. The veggie burger is cooked on same grill and the falafel is fried in the same place as chicken corpses. They need a sign that warns the customer if they have dietary restrictions. Its 2024, let customers know about the cross contamination that takes place in the kitchen

Casual restaurant, good menu items. Indoor and outdoor dining options. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Self serve soda or un-carbonated drinks. Fries or sides are a la carte. Wheelchair accessibility: Indoor is a little tight to maneuver a wheelchair since there are a few corners, my friend has an electric wheelchair and stayed in an outdoor patio table while we placed the order at the counter inside. We all still enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Its long...Placed an order for burgers and completely forgot to order fries. Burgers came out great without a problem. Placed an order for fries and took a while to come out. We noticed a waitress coming around with a tray which looked like it was for us. She went to a table close to us asked if they ordered the fries and they said no. She asked them if they wanted them either way and of course they said yes. They dug into them right away so I was not going to get up and tell them they were ours. The waitress didnt bother to look around at all tables to find the correct order number. We let the counter know we didnt get our order and eventhough they doubted us they said they will replace it. We waited again another 15 minutes and a waitress noticed we still didnt have our order. She checked on it and gave me a gift card for the trouble. Waiting again and nothing...I asked for a refund at that point. I explained what happened to the waitress and she said that at least I got a gift card and my refund. Eventhough I appreciate the gift card I would of rather received the food I ordered. I wont be back here.

At first, the wife and I were a little disappointed because we used to eat at the grub restaurant. But let me tell you my disappointment went away as soon as I sunk my teeth into the food. My wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the brisket sandwich. Both were so delicious. We shared an order of onion rings and chili cheese fries and we enjoyed those as well. Definitely will be back to try many other delicious items we seen on the menu. Highly recommend.

Visited here today, not bad ordered the bbq brisket sand. and Stand fries really good. Stand Blonde ale just right and cold! Service excellent and staff friendly. Plenty of seating parking can be a challenge in back during lunch hour. Fyi you have to pay first before you sit down. Bar available as well.

Service was good and friendly came on a Wednesday around 230pm. Establishment had plenty of seating at the bar and open tables. Ordered the Ultimate Egg 12.25$ and a side of potato fries reg size for 4.60$ regular fires were enough to go along with the burger. The most expense came from the Stone IPA tap which I had ordered 3 at 7.50$ a pint. They do have their own draft beer for a lower price ranging from 6-7.50$ and a happy hour Mon-Fri from 3p-6p where bar snacks are the only thing on the menu not none of there main meals. Total bill came out to 43.38 for one person me not including tip.

I am obsessed with the Kale Quinoa Crunch Salad, but of the many times that I have ordered it in person/to-go I have NEVER received kale. It s almost funny now how I have to check the salad every time to see if maybe my order will be correct. Sadly, despite kale being the first word in the menu item name and also the first ingredient in the item description, the salad is neither as ordered nor as advertised. What s nice is that the staff is very kind about fixing the order when I go back to mention the lack of kale. I highly recommend the salad and will not stop ordering it just check to see if there s kale. ;)

The Stand is my favorite local hangout/watering hole in Whittier, especially during early afternoons or weekends around mid day. I d recommend sitting at the bar, where you re likely to chat with friendly local regulars in an airy, high-ceiling and comfy setting (chairs are great) while you enjoy their house IPA or classic cocktail. Oh, and, their staff are the absolute best :)

Disgusting fast food and terrible unprofessional service. The employee taking his break had a creepy gaze the entire time. They have a build your own but they dont know how to properly take your order. When approached about it the clerk laughs. It was the paisa with the scruffy beard and the skinny white boy in the kitchen. I hope they cleaned up well. Its not a burger joint, its a sports bar ran by former in n out employees.

My husband and I decided to try The Stand for lunch. I ordered the tuna on a pretzel bun with a side of sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the brisket on a pretzel bun. He loved his sandwich, said the meat was moist, cooked properly, the bun tasted fresh and was soft. When my order arrived it was a turkey sandwich and it wasnt on a pretzel bun. The server said he could take it back, but I was hungry and the restaurant was busy being lunch. Once I started eating it my mouth started to tingle and I knew immediately it had peppers of some sort in it and I flagged down our server and told him what happened. He felt bad, and knew that it wasnt what I ordered, so he went right to the kitchen and had the kitchen make what I originally ordered. Ten minutes later I had my fish sandwich and it was delicious. My mouth stopped tingling and the rest of the lunch went off without a hitch. I just wonder why so many dishes, including like the turkey sandwich I got served, have to have nightshade peppers placed into the mix? Anyway, the gal who took over the situation was extremely helpful and she made sure I was okay and that the fish sandwich was okay and it was. Dietary restrictions: I have a nightshade allergy, this means I am allergic to eggplant, tomatoes, and certain peppers like chili peppers and bell peppers, and potatoes. This establishment offers sweet potato fries (they look like waffle fries) which I can have and they make them tasty. So, if you have a nightshade allergy you might want to get a side of their sweet potato fries. Parking: They have a parking lot and parking is free.
