We had a big dinner party on a Saturday night and our server Sophie was amazing. She took care of 30 of us. All our orders were correct, drinks were refilled promptly, and she had a great attitude the entire time.

The truffalo wings were tasty. The salads were big and really good too. All the food we ordered were good.

Street parking was easy.
Service was spotty. The food was very good. I had the pork chop with the mustard sauce. My wife had the beet salad with a salmon topping. The salmon was dry.
We liked this place & will come back.

KIN has a casual setting, like an elevated sports bar (in the front room), but the food is EXCELLENT and far from ordinary bar food. Our server Sophie was friendly and very attentive. She was knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu and offered help with our selections. Our cocktails, a Margarita and a Madrras (vodka and cranberry) were delicious, but didn't compare to the braised short ribs with polenta (I had mashed potatoes) with carrots, covered in a brown gravy. It was an AMAZING entree!!! The braised ribs were so tender and melted in my mouth! And such a generous portion that I couldn't finish it all. So full, but wish that I had had room to try one of their desserts. Highly recommend to give this place a try!!! NOTE: Parking is very tight in the area!!

Been here several times when in town. Always our go-to place for a nice meal. Great cocktails, beet salad way delicious. Salmon was tasty but a bit over cooked and dry this time. Desert was an apple cobbler that was just OK. Have thoroughly loved the food in the past, this time I’d say just OK. Service was great, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Visited with the family. Restaurant offered a complimentary kid's snack and crayolas. They also have kids menu. The full menu is complete, with options for starters, burgers, salads, pizzas and entrés.
The fried calamari and Tum Tum burger were really good (though salty). The fish tacos had too many sauces (and I couldn't figure what it was tasting).
The waitress was really nice and accommodating, even with us arriving shortly before closing.
Pros: the entire setup, and the bread pudding...
Cons: the generous use of salt...

Up in Healdsburg all day helping out old lady Cranktakers ranch hand, Pusher Harrdairè level up the holding tanks and then went for coffee while Pusher put a new coat of wax on the push rod...He was all cleaned up and said Only one thing better than a shiny push rod...Thatd be the Porkchop at the KIN Windsor Restaurant So, off I went..And you know what, the Pusher was right...that KIN Windsor Restaurant porkchop was Amazing!

Second time dining at KIN and this time was lunch with friends. GREAT service from a friendly team who were doing all the things: Service, running food, slinging drinks. They made it seem effortless and were so friendly along the way. We shared the wings (Hawaiian are great) and the crab dip. Delish. Burgers were throroughly enjoyed and love a salad with warm (not cold) chicken. Great cocktails and draught beers. Wine list is approachable if not terribly local. Look forward to returning!

Its ok, (but not amazing). Good variety. Decent menu. Entrees are a little pricey. Basically, its a pretty restaurant in a prime location. Had the crispy chicken sandwich and salad. Everything tasted good, but this is a critique, so if Im being honest - the chicken pillard was a bit overdone, the bun was a little stale, and the salad was overdressed. We also had the wings. They were small and although they tasted good, they werent served with celery and I was a little disappointed. We finished with the creme brulee. It was also good, but nothing spectacular. Great service. Attentive staff. Casual, laid back atmosphere. Lots of tvs playing baseball. A nice neighborhood restaurant to enjoy dinner, just keep your expectations in check. I wish the food was a little better considering the prices when it all gets added up, but dinner out is still a treat. Maybe Ill try a pizza next time

Usually the food is great, but the last 2 times I had a burger, it was overly charred to the point of being burnt, and ruining the taste of the burger. For a 19 dollar burger, it should be cooked properly enough to not ruin the taste of the other ingredients Food

The room is very loud, just be aware. Once seated a flustered waitress apologized for being so long. She took our drink & appetizer order and was off. A little later she came to take our food order, before we got our drinks. Drinks were good appetizer was fine and we waited.I went to get her after 45 minutes had passed, drinks & appetizer were done and we had waited a long time. When we finally got food, one hour plus my wifes salmon was overcooked and dry, my med-rare burger was med-well and the fries were sprinkled with garlic salt. I did not notice that in the menu. Grossly understaffed and undertrained.

Kin, yes it is that. This place is absolutely amazing and it feels like a family atmosphere. Superb environment. The service is spot on, great food and truly an amazing place. Go see for yourself, I do not believe you will be disappointed. Try the pepperoni pizza!!!

Visited twice during trip so Sonoma/windsor. Dinner was great . Diverse menu with friendly atmosphere , this place can go either way from very casual to a fine dining experience. Would highly recommend. Our second visit was to kill time and bar only. Bartenders are friendly and the clientele was very welcoming.

I am a local that has been coming here for years. The food is always good. The fact that I can not get a table with my family to compensate for having a toddler is ridiculous. All the tables are empty, and I could not be seated due to reservations, only high tables available. This is the second time in a week I have had to turn to somewhere else because I can not get a table suitable for a toddler due to reservations. Seat someone at a high table and make lower tables for families. I can name two restaurants that are family oriented that would go out of their way to make room for families with kids. I feel this place is becoming less and less family oriented. Sad. Guess I will bring my business elsewhere.

Not clued in to online orders at all. You can not ask for a time for the order to be ready. The kitchen is prompt and gets it done, unfortunately We put a time in the notes three nights in a row. I talked to the manager...offered drinks and deserts, but I wanted it done at a specific time as cell service from where I wa driving from was sparce. Poor service

Food, drinks and service were amazing. I had the ribeye which was excellent except needing some salt. I wished theyd had some house steak sauce but some horseradish went well. The beet salad and sides were delicious! For dessert try the banana pudding with ice cream. The only bummer was the restaurant was too loud. Its to be expected on a Saturday night but it definitely made for a slightly overstimulating experience. The front seemed a tiny bit quieter.

I love KIN! Great food at a very reasonable price in my opinion. Absolutely love the pork chop because its not overcooked and the bourbon glaze is to die for! Short ribs are another favorite! Shrimp and polenta has amazing flavor, and they are not skimpy with the shrimp! My only advice would be that they should use a bit less sauce on both the short ribs and shrimp dishes, as it overwhelms and takes away from the dish slightly when its drowned in sauce. My kids had artisan pizza and the fried chicken sandwich, both excellent!! The service here is ALWAYS top notch!! Our waitress even brought the kiddos complimentary chocolate chip cookies when we decided against dessert KIN has become a regular go-to for us Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!

Patrick pulled it all together. The wedge came late but I really only wanted pizza. I ate the salad the following day. It all worked out. The taquitos have their own Gringo style to them. They were good. The chicken and pesto sandwich was large enough for two meals. I had the other half with my wedge the following day. 10 seconds in the microwave to soften the bread and it was fresh and tasty. The corner spot, outside, in the smaller tent was quiet and lush with nature. Our waiterdidnt forget about us. But left us alone enough to visit.

My husband loves the truffelo wings here. Bit spicy for my taste but Im a weenie with spice. I really enjoyed the potato soup. Wait times for food and check in from waiters have varied on occasions sometimes pretty fast and other times we think they forgot we were even there. Still beautiful atmosphere

We showed up here about 9 or so on a Saturday evening KIN was busy but not packed. The server (Sophie) was amazing (seriously I can see her managing and moving on to bigger and better things quickly..) The food was great The GF had the Risotto and a Beet Salad... she said both were amazing. I had a burger and it was cooked perfectly, I had the tomato bisque with the burger, and had fries for a starter when the GF got her salad.. seriously, there wasnt anything I would complain about.. I will be back whenever back in this area.. Kudos to the management for running such a great place and to our server that had it all down... Vegetarian options: The Gf had the Summer Risotto and the Beet Salad and said it was amazing.. plenty of vegetarian options here..

I wanted to like this place and we were looking forward to dinner. I ordered risotto with roasted corn, sumner squash and was talked into getting some salmon on top. I got a plate of lifeless rice, no Parmesan in it, completely overcooked and dried under the heating lamps. There were large pieces of summer squash, onions and eggplant on top. Not a risotto. When I told the waitress this was not a risotto and reluctantly sent it back (none of the vegetables were even seasoned), she gaslit me. You read the menu wrong. We use seasonal vegetables. You looked at an old menu online. I told her nope, not a risotto, it wasn t the right rice, it wasn t creamy, it had no Parmesan, etc etc and she kept gaslighting me. Eventually the waitress who took our order came over as I politely sent the meal back and agrees, it wasn t the risotto. She had grabbed the wrong meal. She put risotto in the system but didn t serve me risotto. I had a small order of Mac and cheese that lacked even basic salt or prepper and was also flavorless. The two waitresses talked under their breath how to ease the ego of the chef, who evidentially was angry I sent back the fake risotto. Long story short, they later bring out a massive risotto. That too was completely flavorless. The corn was clearly from a can. It neither had the char or rough cut you get from a roster corn kernel. Each kernel was complete (roasted corn cut off the cob isn t a full, intact kernel) and was bright yellow. No smokiness, also flavorless. I would rather have smaller portions that taste amazing than a major blob that tastes of nothing. I didn t want to send it back twice so I just asked for the food to be boxed and leave. The waitress, incredibly, said why should I box it if you aren t going to eat it? Well, you are charging for it and I will try to add spices at home, so yes, box it up. If I want to give it to my dog, I paid for it. Geez. No discount for the bad food. I had to ask four times for water and only got it well after the food was boxed as I waited for my fiancé to finish his glass of wine. I left an 18% tip after all that gaslighting and that s $130 that was watered. Don t make the same mistake. This is a skip for sure. I posted the pic of the meal the waitress told me was risotto and intimated I didn t know what a risotto was it was gross.

KIN is the perfect place for a Rehearsal dinner. Jamie, the Banquet Room Coordinator, is professional, kind, gives exceptional service by taking all the stress off of you and handles everything. The banquet s room is beautiful and quaint. The food is delicious. Patrick who tends the bar and serves is attentive, kind and very professional. I can t say enough about how amazing KIN is. Thank you for making our son s Rehearsal Dinner a night we will always treasure.

Had a buisness lunch meeting. I had the tum tum burger, perfectly cooked and delicious. The brussel sprouts were crispy and savory with nice pieces of bacon. Had a cocktail that was on point, not watered down or too strong. The waitress was super nice and attentive, she even had 15 of us to cater to. Ill definitely be going back for a special occasion soon.

I went here twice in 1 week to give it a fair try. I had the pesto chicken sandwich, which was okay, but I couldnt taste the pesto (sandwich needed more flavor, and my fries were far from fresh (room temp). Service was average. I like their half wedge salad for $7. If you like a wedge you will like this. 2nd time I went, I wanted to try their pizza, so I got the chicken pesto pizza. The pizza was undercooked and doughy and again totally lacked flavor and couldnt taste the pesto again. I guess they paint it on in a thin layer like its a precious commodity. Took 45 minutes to get food after we ordered, and they were not busy. Half our group had to leave before we paid because it was taking so long. Apparently it took another half our to get the bill and pay and leave. Service was really lacking this day. One person in our party ordered fries they didnt get until the end and they were soggy and undercooked. The time I went there before years ago, our food never came and after an hour I asked our waiter where our pizza was and he said he accidentally gave it to another table but theyre gonna make me another one as soon as possible. To which we said nope and left. Im done trying here. Not sure why other folks enjoy this place. With 4 stars I expected way better.

I usually just leave bad experiences alone instead of writing a review, but this one is different. I really wanted to love KIN as it was recommended to us by a local. The menu looked great, and the reviews were solid, but our experience was terrible. For starters, we were seated in a back corner and didnt see a waiter for over 10 minutes after being seated, no water, no drink order, nothing. I walked back to the front to find the host but she was absent as well. Once the waiter showed up, we ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer (which were dry, needed some balsamic or something, but still had good flavor) and they came out quick fortunately. My wife and I both ordered separate pizzas, and the crust dough on both was raw in the center. I wouldve told our waiter, but she was nowhere to be found again for 10-15 minutes and we were hungry so we ate around it--what we could eat was delicious! Finally, after finishing we just wanted to pay the check and leave, but our waiter ignored the table for, you guessed it--15 more minutes at least. I had to stand and step to a more visible area of the restaurant to get any sort of attention despite other staff being nearby as well. I really hate to leave this sort of review...but something needs to change at KIN before Id ever go back. Thankfully were tourists, so I guess they dont need to worry about us again. Hopefully it doesnt happen to anyone else.

We started with fried Brussel Sprouts with bacon and parmesean cheese, buttermilk fried calamari then Bourbon mustard glazed bone in pork chop on palenta with asparagus and sauteed prawns with mushrooms, crispy bacon, and a cajun tomato cream sauce, served over creamy polenta..of course, had a KIN Margarita to wash it down! OH..and Banana Fosters Bread Pudding with ice cream!! I was a happy camper!!! LOL

We had a group of nine people that ate outside on a Saturday evening. The food was fantastic. Everyone loved what they got from burgers to salads. However, I dont know if its me post covid or because I dont go out a lot but the service is just weird. Not just here at the last restaurant or two Ive been to. Slow service. Kind of meandering staff. Super friendly but just not a super competent. And I mean that nicely. I would definitely eat here again. Ill attach photos of the menu from May of 2023

It was so fun for me and Owen was our server. He was very nice respectful and disrespectful but it was really fun and the food was yummy. I got the fish tacos fishes but you know it s all right.

Lovely. Friendly, fresh, informal and a little loud. Excellent food and pretty damn good cocktails! The service was prompt, professional and also truly friendly. Our party expanded unexpectedly and the server simply shrugged and helped us out with a smile. I think my favorite thing was my cocktail as it was very well done.

Don t go to this place !!!!!!! Me and my friend decided to go out for some fine dinning, we saw Kin and notice good reviews so we went to go try it out. We had to wait over 20 min to get seated Wicth is ridiculous. We finally place our orders meanwhile I went to the bathroom , I wish I never went to that bathroom, I GOT LOCKED OUT! Never would I thought I was get locked out in a restaurant I had to call my friend to cut me loose! But the worst part came the food my burger was ALIVE ! it was very undercooked :( and we got the mac and cheese pizza that looked and to be honest tasted like if a ten year old made it. I was super disappointed and never coming back.

What is a 5 star restaurant ? It is a restaurant that offers a fine dining experience. That is what we had at KIN tonight. Simple, Fresh, Homemade foods that delighted the pallet and left us reviewing our choices for the next visit. From the excellent service, the food, and the atmosphere, KIN is an absolute delight. Not one disappointment! I would like to highlight Emily our bartender/Server and Moses who was hand tossing the fresh dough, as Proof of the excellence youll receive at KIN. Update 03/04/2023 Had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. The salad and homemade dressing was very nice, however the chicken was dry and tasted like a frozen chicken breast. We also had the mushroom risotto which was the most delicious dish so far. The fish tacos were good, breaded instead of battered, but needed seasoning. Still, one of our top 3 places to pamper ourselves. The pork chop is amazing good cocktails and fun place. Kids meal is great, they get a snack first followed by dinner then a cookie for dessert. There desserts are beyond delicious

GREAT ATMOSPHERE! and beautiful waitresses. The staff is friendly theres a full open bar and the drink menu is awesome the food menu is easy to understand and very well done. I will be back because the cocktails are strong and unique also the demographic of the environment and costumers is humble and respectful...I like spending my money here I cant wait to go back

Great spot for lunch on the town green in Windsor. Service was fast and efficient, food was delicious and ambiance was perfect. Great spot to watch sports, but not so loud you cant have a conversation. Servers are very attentive and meal was great. Would definitely be back for a family meal or a business lunch. Kid-friendliness: Lots of pizza on the menu - plenty of other options as well. Great spot for the whole family.

Wasnt expecting to have the best burger Ive ever had when I came to KIN! Not only was the food amazing, the service was excellent. This is definitely one of the better restaurants in Sonoma county. Will be back again soon

Thankful there was a patio with heaters so we didnt have to leave the pup in the car. Food was great. Loved that they had gluten free options even a gluten free lava cake, which i highly recommended. (Im G sensative/not celiac) The steak and pork chops were quality cuts of meat, cooked to perfectly but the sauces were 3.5/5. Mom throughly enjoyed her short ribs & bead pudding. Our server was young & brought great energy. She was knowledgeable, attentive & would seek her out if she was working/ we went back. Overall great experience! Dietary restrictions: For gluten free options, talk to your server.

We love the food at Kin. The short ribs are absolutely delicious. We picked up food to go this time and it was great. Ready super fast...and they were busy. Definitely a great place for dinner when in Windsor.

Not a good experience. Service was fine and friendly. Food was mediocre. One pizza was served cold. The second came 15 minutes later and was hot. Truffalo wings tasted good but were cold. Caesar salad made airline food look good. Absolutely terrible and they forgot to add the shrimp we ordered. Worst flaw... maybe Im fussy, but at 6:30 on Saturday night they didnt have enough clean glassware to serve water to 6 guests. No excuse for that. For G-d sake just take some glasses from the bar. You should be embarrassed!

Right in lovely Windsor downtown area it is a great setting. There are indoor and outdoor dinner area. Big bar that is well stocked. Rustic theme but with modern touches. Food is standard American fare with unique touches. The wedge salad was excellent and the Truffalo Wings were really good. Menu is diverse and would meet a groups with varied tastes. Prices were really good.

I googled a place nearby that has burgers and caprese salads to accommodate party of 2. Kin popped up with beautiful pics of caprese salad and burgers. We get there 25 minutes away, waitress seats us,I order the caprese salad, she says they don t make it anymore. I ask if she has the ingredients can you give me something close she says no.. so I order suggested French dip? I didn t like it but that was my fault. I was upset that we drove all the way to Windsor fir nothing. About 10 minutes after waitress drops off our food, she comes back never asking how the food was and says do you want me to box up? While my friend is literally biting his burger. Please teach you servers how to treat customers. I was a waitress back in the day and I catered to my customers, mind you we were the only 2 in the restaurant. If I wanted a tip I worked for it. Now they just expect it with lousy service. Make them update their google menu please.

Great service. Food was fresh and prompt. Pricey but expected for the location and menu. Need to make outdoor a little more presentable. Felt like I was eating in a parking space for sure.
