Got a horrifyingly comically small amount of bacon in my $22 BLT today. Flagged to the manager Eric / Erik and he full gaslit me about how it had always been this amount. Have typically seen 3-5 layers of bacon, today there was 0.5-2 at most. Most bites did not have any bacon, but an intense amount of mayo. They used to be much more generous and consistent at a significantly lower price point. Place is a disappointing waste of money now. Total trash experience.

Lodge Bread Company never disappoints! Today Holly and I got the Breakfast Sammie, avocado toast, orange juice and coffee. The Sammie was thick, edge-to-edge with its delicious contents, thick flavorful bacon, tons of eggs and all the extras, and the bread was flaky and tasty, a perfect combination. The avocado toast is slathered think with fresh avocado and a ton of flavor. Coffee was coffee as most is, but good all the same. The orange juice is 100% fresh squeezed, delicious as ever. There is a ton of seating in the courtyard. Hopefully they ll allow us to do a video there soon! Parking: Careful parking, scan the QR at the front to make it free. The lot scans your plate on the way in and out.

Found a new weekend brunch spot. Fresh out of the oven is an understatement for this location. Each meal is fresh, and the mint lemonade will pucker your cheeks together. I had the Breakfast, and my guest had the strawberry oatmeal. We tried a couple of other breads and was not disappointed. I give this place two thumbs up and highly recommend for Saturday or Sunday brunch with friend, partner, or spouse. Meals average $15-$20 per item, drinks $4-$7. Once you order, expect about 8-10 a minute wait time. But well worth it once you take a bite. Small order line area, so if 3 or more in the party, I recommend grabbing a menu and having everyone decide prior to arriving to the register. Parking for all the businesses at this location does require you to scan a barcode on your phone and prefilled cell phone, address, and payment method. On Sunday, Parking is free on the street, and this location does offer parking validation. Overall outstanding location all the way around. Food, service and outside tables offer an amazing atmosphere.

Not really a bakery more like an improvised diner with no inside seating (which is good because waiting in line for 3 minutes soaked my clothes and hair with bacon grease odor.) They have exactly two kinds of bread on a Saturday morning. I was looking for challah bread and this bakery came as the first suggestion on Yelp/Google in my neighborhood, yet they only make them on Fridays and you can t order them for other days. Nothing wrong with the new value offering, but stop calling yourself bakery if the focus has clearly gone away from the baking component.

Take it or leave it. I think this place is over hyped. What they call sourdough tastes very yeasty to me, because it doesnt have a soured dough flavor or consistency. Yes, Ill agree that they probably do ferment their dough. But I think theres some nuclear reactor yeast action going on in there with fleischmanns, or whatever brand of yeast they use. What Im trying to say is, in my personal opinion, I dont feel like this process of their sourdough is completely authentic. I think theyre spiking their dough with regular yeast to make it rise more, and be more airy.

INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY STAFF + GREAT ATMOSPHERE!! We absolutely Love our weekly dose of Lodge Bread at times even multiple times. Although surrounded by the Freeway and Ventura Blvd, Lodge Bread has successfully found a way to create a cozy, earthy and homy environment for the community to find a safe heaven in. Their menu showcases a wide spectrum of colourful and delicious looking offerings. Although I personally could only find a Cesar Salad + an Avocado Toast as a VEGAN, I still enjoy coming by to enjoy my afternoon Matcha, with the occasional croissant cheat or grabbing some delicious Rye bread for the house. I hope to see more Plant Based options in the future <3

I will start by saying that the food here is great, which is why we have been coming back here time and time again. However, our last experience has been subpar. My family was cold and we wanted to get some sun so we tried to close the umbrella to get some heat. As soon as we did that, the general manager came out yelling at us to not touch the umbrella. I explained that we want a place with some sun as we are cold. The manager said you can move the table anywhere you like or we can move it for you, but don t touch the umbrella. We found a spot near an electrical room door and figured we will set the table there, in the sun, for the 30 minutes we are having breakfast. After all, this is an electrical room door that really doesn t need to be opened/closed regularly. It was the only place that had sun that wasn t blocking the door for the employees or anyone else. As soon as we moved the table there, he came yelling at us again. He then said please don t move the tables and leave them when they were at . Is he kidding? He just told us we can move the tables. He then said that the electrical room needs to be accessed regularly and we will be in the way. He then moved us again but this time he placed our food on a dirty table which wasn t cleaned. When I asked why are you placing our food on a dirty table, he said it s just temporary as I move the tables around. So I guess if you put people s food on dirty tables TEMPORARILY, it s ok? We had two different customers walk up to us who witnessed what happened and they both said I should call Culver City (their corporate HQ) and file a complaint. People were shocked at the horrible service. All we wanted is to be in the sun. I guess it was too much to ask for. P.S. I asked the general manager four times for his business card and didn t receive it. His response was I am busy and I will get it for you when I can. After this experience, I am not sure we will be back. It s very unfortunate, as we definitely like the food. But I don t appreciate going to a restaurant with my wife and kids and getting yelled at in front of a bunch of other customers.

I get having some char on the crust for bread, I really do. I love me some crusty bread. But you know what I don t love? Burnt sesame seeds. The whole grain loaf is coated in sesame seeds (why?), but it was the only loaf available when I went and now I know why. These sesame seeds aren t toasted; they re burnt. And you know what burnt sesame seeds taste like? Absolute bitter garbage. I m bummed, too, because $13 for a loaf of bread isn t cheap so now I m stuck with bread I wouldn t even feed the squirrels.

Hey lodge, I m struggling big time. The last 4 orders I ve had delivered from you have had missing items or ingredients. I was a loyal customer at your Culver location and when you opened in the Valley two years ago I was first in line. I buy from you 2-3x a month, but I m starting to lose faith. I don t feel the same level of care that you once put into your food and orders. It makes me so sad. I always order from post mates. Is it possible the driver has stolen a loaf of bread and cookie every time for the last four? Highly unlikely. Or the driver pulled out the cheese from the chopped salad? Highly unlikely. It feels like you re moving too fast and lacking quality control as a result. What can you do to turn around a loyal customer whose ready to walk away for good?

Very interesting place To visit with super delicious bread, we usually stop by for a coffee next door and maybe had few pastries from here and they were good, nothing special but good. So one day we decided to have breakfast here as we just noticed that they actually have breakfast menu! They have things like avocado toast, shakshuka, tuna panini and maybe few other items. When you walk in it smells amazing with fresh baked bread and yes you absolutely should try their bread! It s so good! So we ordered tuna melt and avocado toast this time, had a seat outside and within 10 minutes our order was out. Never have we expected the size of the those things! One of those is more than enough for few people and even a kid. Avocado toast had tons and tons of avocado on it, so very filling. Tuna melt was a bit too much I believe, it also had huge amount of tuna, cheese and just was very greasy but obviously super delicious. Chocolate croissant that day could have been better, it had a teeny tiny bit of chocolate and was basically burned, way overcooked. So definitely stop by for their amazing bread and look closer on their menu and discover their amazing breakfast menu, you will not be disappointed.

I went in seeking a loaf of fresh, hard-crust whole-wheat style bread and was met with a counter of pre-cut samples of literally exactly what I was looking for. Walked out with a big round loaf of their Ancient and its just a fabulous bread for toast, dipping in soup, etc. They had sandwiches and other breakfast and lunch things too, so Ill just have to go back for that. Yeah, I was 100% satisfied, really happy this kind of shop still exists in a big city like LA.

Wouldnt tell my girlfriend what type of flour they used until she asked multiple times. Gave her a bad attitude for asking (this is artisan bakery prices we should be able to ask because the flour used affects the bread). We were there 40 mins before closing. I ordered an avocado toast but they wouldnt make it because kitchen is closed. Bad job

Nice place. Good tea and coffee. Only slight complaint, I wish they had more of selection of breads for their toast. The new Valley Country Mart, where it s located, is a welcome addition to a Woodland Hills.
