First time there, and we loved it! The service was above and beyond. The owner is so kind and attentive, making sure everyone is enjoying their meals. The food is superb, and I especially loved the pumpkin latte! We will definitely return. ❤️

Good food. However, I just picked up a breakfast to-go order, returned to my hotel, and settled in to eat my food…. And no utensils. I'm eating my breakfast with my fingers. I'm not happy about that. I guess I should have known to ask for utensils and a napkin.

I used to love Blu Jam. Great food, excellent service every visit BUT I went in this morning and all of the servers have been let go. The new process is you walk in, order and pay then choose a table. They brought our food without utensils, there were 3 tables that hadn't been cleaned. It was weird. I asked if there was new ownership and was told no.

Sad. This place had all the things. My $60 for two lattes, an orange juice, apple juice, omelet and chicken sandwich would be better spent elsewhere. If you don't expect to be served at a restaurant, it will be great for you. Leo & Lily's and Peddler's fork down the road have great service staff and awesome food. Sadly, I'm not sure if I'll ever return to BJC.

Had to change my review from my first visit when i gave it 5stars..... Fist visit was awesome. Not anymore! Brought my son here(visiting from out of town) and the girl at the front said to sit where you want and then said the qr code on the table will take it from there...we waited 15min before leaving and going to Marmalade a couple minutes away. Not one person/employee spoke to us the entire time. Totally bummed after I talked up the place...they added theseqr codes on the tables and now service is awful/non existing. Prices are way too high to take orders at a counter or on a phone. Why take away waiters? They were awesome and now just not doing it right. Last time I tipped $50 on a $60 bill because service was so good. This time I left confused and embarrassed.

What great place for breakfast. The crunchy French toast was amazing. Plenty of free parking, service is excellent friendly atmosphere. Kid friendly but no actual Kids menu, the side dished work great though for kids. No wait for a table sat us down immediately on Saturday morning. I would go back to try some different items on the menu. Last thing, the portions are medium sized so you could share.

I had a great experience with the other branch at Encino but here is completely different. The table and water bottle is not clean. Food was burned and bread is so hard. I ordered blue jam Benedict. The only thing that I was liked is frappe.

The Blu jam Cafe has amazing comfort foods that tastes gourmet. You order from the counter and then they call you when your order is ready. The potatoes were delicious with our breakfast skillets and they have a case with fresh water you can grab when youre ready. The one thing that I did find confusing what they call themselves the Blu jam Cafe but when my sister got her container of jam there was literally less than a half of a teaspoon of jam in there. Almost not enough to put on her toast.

This place does not take cash, theres a lack of human interaction, everything is done through a QR code, and you have to pay and tip first before you get your food. I had the eggs benedict. The eggs, ham, and muffin were ok, but the potatoes seemed like they were fried the previous day and reheat when the order was placed. They taste like oil. I order a vanilla late, nice presentation but cold. Not once did a server come by to ask if everything was ok. I guess it would be a good place for someone who doesnt want interaction? But I wouldnt go back

Few issues here: 1. Food poisoning from the scramble! Don t eat it and don t eat here! 2. The waiter (who only came by once) gave use water and never came back to refill our water or check in on us! - so, a suggestion if you decide to come here: bring your own water!!!!

Poor quality food for the price and service. The breakfast Burrito was greasy, cold and the potato s were burnt. It pretty sad this people ask for a tip before bringing out food. The service was atrocious, the waiter literally threw our food on the table and left. My eggs were suppose to be over hard and they were so runny they were horrible. I ordered a side of bacon, I never got the side order. The coffee was cold and the pots that were dirty. How do I know you can taste the bitterness of the burnt coffee and the staleness of the grounds. If you re going to have a business have pride in what you do or find something else or better quality people to run your business. As a consumer I m offended that you are running this quality of business and charging the money you are. Travelers stay away from this place you will find a better meal at Wendy s, McDonalds or any other fast food.

Blu Jam is a favorite of mine but this was my first time at the Woodland Hills location. The food was stellar as always (the vanilla latte is delicious), the restaurant is clean and roomy with a large outside patio, and there was no wait at 11:30a on a Saturday. We had a lovely time and will be back again! Kid-friendliness: There was room for our stroller to park and they offer high chairs.

The food wasnt fresh and didnt match the descriptions on the menu. The service was awful; no one attended to our table even when we were actively looking for assistance. Our coffee wasnt refilled, and despite there being over 15 open tables, the wait lone was 30 . I wont be returning.

Great food!, service was excellent Staff were courteous and warm.. Thier mint infused water with a slice of Lemon is sooo Refreshing. So Relaxing. Parking: I found there was alot of parking spaces open, we drove in a little after 12 noon. Wheelchair accessibility: 1 floor, they have nice outside dinning.

Adding in QR codes on the tables for Easy Ordering does not offer the customer any additional benefits, it just degrades the level of service provided by this restaurant and does not offer the staff members any incentive to actually provide timely service to the customers. I should not have to be asked to pay and tip for my food before I even receive it, sitting at a sit down restaurant like Blu Jam. I should not also have to literally wave down the manager to either offer me a refund or get me my initial coffee that i ordered, minutes after i already received my food and was 50% done with eating my meal. I also asked multiple employees before to check on my coffee, in which they just reply oh its on the way without them actually checking. This is exactly why I do not want to be tipping this business before I actually receive my food, as they obviously do not care about the level of service being provided. Do not come here, there is a variety of other restaurants in the woodland hills area that will provide you better service at the same fees i paid here. I will not return here unless they eliminate the QR ordering system.

A little on the higher end with pricing but portions are big and the food is amazing! Chilaquiles and Berry French Toast are my favorite. Recommend them! Huevos Rancheros were delicious but Blu Jam Eggs Benedict were dry and the egg over cooked. Rose Matcha Latte was to die for.

Food looked decent, but I asked a question to Claudia (I believe her name was) and she was extremely rude... Just stared at me and gave attitude. Not worth my business anymore than i already and regrettably gave them. Tired of bad service. I wish i called the health inspectors.. Might still because I was asking what the white crud was in my ice and if it were mold or something. Because.. You know.. Drinking mold isnt exactly what I was looking for when i ordered a latte. If they were decent they could maybe look at the ice or act like they care about the quality.. Guess not because she with no surprise showed how little she values her work. Couldnt be any less dissapointed and I would have loved to have gotten my money back but spending another second having to tolerate such a piss attitude at 930am isnt worth it to me. I look at it like I payed 26 dollars to never interact with this girl again. Food service might not be for you.

I can easily say that Blue Jam Cafe is a great brunch/breakfast spot as Ive been here quite a few times over the years and the service here is consistently good as well as the food has not let me down yet at this location. I will say be prepared as they would prefer you to order through their app/website design. Im personally not too much of a fan on it as I usually like to order directly through a person which you can do if you ask for it. That aside, the ambiance is quite relaxing and cozy even. The food usually comes out at a respectable time pace and is always good. There can be a wait sometimes so do prepare yourself or see if you can put yourself on some kind of wait list through.

A different type of service here. Scan the QR code, see the menu, and place an order. They will bring it to your table when ready. Loved the mint water - such a nice touch. Unique menu items (including pasta!) Some will like the ordering protocol, and some will not. I didnt mind it. Helps at the end when you are ready to go for sure! Everyone I encountered was very nice and friendly.

Save yourself time and DO NOT come here. My family and I are in the area to visit and came here based off the Yelp reviews. We can around 10am and the restaurant was nearly empty but it took over 40 minutes to get our order for a table 4. We were told our order was coming and waited an additional 10 minutes. My 3 year old was visibly irritated because he was so hungry. Our order finally came out but because of our long wait we asked to speak with a manager. One lady named Nora came out and told us because the restaurant was busy that s why our food was so late. We proceeded to say that the table of 7 who came in after us food was served 30 minutes prior to ours. We asked to speak with the manager. We were first told that she s on her way out. After waiting another 15 minutes we asked if she was still coming out and we were told she is not but offered us a free meal. We refused because we are visiting from out of town and politely asked to speak to the manager because Nora didn t have the authority to comp our meal. The manager again refused. Nora kindly ended up giving us a 50% comp and the number to the corporate which I will be calling. I have never ever visited a restaurant with a management that refused to meet with a customer or make it right. Long story short do yourself a favor and eat anywhere but here.

What a joke! Service is definitely not a strong point. My coffee was cold, and my food too. Did I mention you can t get regular coffee with refills because they are to cheep to pay a waitress. AT&T has little to no service and you need phone service to order. The portions where small and prices high. I don t mind paying for something that is worth it. NOT WORTH IT BY FAR!

These two ladies were willing to clean the tables but did not ask me what I wanted. I waited for 15 minutes until finally one of these two people asked me what I wanted. I almost always get the chilaquiles from Blu Jam! This location has plenty of outdoor seating, and is dog friendly (at least when seated outdoors). You can order at the counter or use a QR code to order and pay from your table.

Great atmosphere! I am not even a breakfast person, and this is by far the most delicious breakfast /brunch EVER. I could literally eat here every day. Our friends brought us here for the first time, and when I tell you we left stuffed and happy, its an understatement. We had the steak hash and the vegan organic tofu tostada. We literally cleaned our plates. We also had the French toast churros. These are to die for. Never tasted anything so good. Dont forget to try the fresh squeeze Orange juice, some of the best Ive ever had. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. It was an all-around good experience. We will definitely be back

Ive been here a few times, but it has changed immensely. There are no waiters just rude hostesses. No one checks on you throughout the meal. The atmosphere felt like they did not want us there. Food is okay, definitely not worth that service though.

This was my first time eating at Blu Jam Cafe and man, what a little gem. This place is amazing! Tons of outdoor seating, you can order your food using their app and they bring it to you or go inside and order. The water comes with mint and lemon, which was great. The food was amazing. I had the French toast. It was super crispy and crunchy. The berries and vanilla sauce it came with was tasty. Since it isn t served with syrup it s not too sweet. My husband had the hangover scramble and I had to steal his because it was so good. I also had to take home a bottle of their hot sauce because it was delicious. I may regret not getting two but that just means we will have an excuse to go back. 100% recommend

The food was delicious but we had to prepay the tip and received literally no service. We ordered the food ourselves and someone brought the food but that was it. We even had to go get our own boxes because no one came to check on us. We couldnt go back and change the tip, either. The lack of service and prepaid tip left a bad taste.

The food here is always delicious. It still uses the pandemic ordering system: by QR code app or at the counter. Migas & Chilaquiles are my standard favorites. However, Im still put off by auto-choice tipping starting at 18% when there is no waiter. And your adding your tip before you even get the food or services.

I dont like the fact that they dont offer you a menu but you have to scan a QR code on the table to see the menu. And you must pay using that very same qr-code. And if you have questions about the menu they tell you to go into the restaurant and ask at the counter. Not to mention the fact that my phone pinged me that the Wi-Fi was unsafe. Customer service? Non-existent. I would never enter my credit card information on an unsafe Network. I didnt stay, I found a Mediterranean restaurant down the street.

Orders are done on your phone with a QR code. You pay for it ON YOUR PHONE BEFORE they make it, so you need to use a debit or credit card. Customize orders? No place to type in requests, just a bar with like a 20-ish character limit. Asked for my coffee to be sweetened with honey and the girl couldnt figure out how, had to ask someone else for permission? Directions? At the end the honey was brought in a separate container (diluted in warm water) for me to pour into my coffee myself. Seems like theyre trying to do the least. Oh! And I think tips are forced when you pay on the phone. I didnt play with it too much because I was already frustrated enough so idk if theres a way around that. When they do the most to do the least I really feel like a forced tip just adds insult.

I was yesterday at this facility i have no complaints about the quality of my meals but i saw something that I really didn t like at all , a client having her dog drink water from the same glassware were they provide to everyone, nothing wrong having a mascots on site but feeding the dog like that its not appropriate and im sure management didn t see it or just didn t care.

They practice a contactless order. You just scan a qr code and order there. It works like a charm! Everything gets delivered to your table in ~10 mins and the food is delicious! I only wish they had Google pay or PayPal option to pay for the online order (right now its only a credit card). Afaik you can order with a waiter as well...

Robots have taken over! You need to basically doordash your food to your table since theres only servers, no waiters. The force you to enter your email address which I know bugs some people. However the food was delicious, it came out pretty fast and its a nice chill vibe. Its just made me think I was at chillis because of the digital ordering system. Im sure well all get used to it eventually...

The new process is you walk in, order and pay then choose a table. They brought our food without utensils, there were 3 tables that hadnt been cleaned. It was weird. I asked if there was new ownership and was told no. Sad. This place had all the things. My $60 for two lattes, an orange juice, apple juice, omelet and chicken sandwich would be better spent elsewhere. If you dont expect to be served at a restaurant, it will be great for you. Leo & Lilys and Peddlers fork down the road have great service staff and awesome food. Sadly, Im not sure if Ill ever return to BJC.

Since Covid Blue Jam restaurant has chosen to gear its business towards the young and tech Savvy. As a relative s tech savvy adult it still took my party of 4 - 45 minutes to log in, order, pay and submit. The website is not fluid or user friendly and we continually had to ask someone for help to finish our order. The worst restaurant experience I ve ever encountered. I will never come here again.

What once was a cute, cafe is now awful. You can t even get a real menu, it forces every person in the restaurant on to their phones to pay, order, everything. No one is waiting on your table to see how everything is. And the food and coffee is not even good anymore! I tried two different drinks: 1st a dirty chai which was bad enough to send back. Then I tried a latte which tasted like burnt coffee. And my chilequilles came soggy. All in all, it once was a place we really enjoyed, now gone downhill, still equally expensive and I would never consider this a dining experience anymore and certainly not worth the money. So sad.

Great food, great outside dining vibe. My only complaint is that more often than not, your food comes before your drink since their only option is to order via qr-code. And I dont know about anyone else, but I like to enjoy my coffee for a bit before I get my breakfast. Will upgrade to 5 stars if they fix that.

Menu online looked good so we stopped to try it. Walked up to signs posted everywhere with dozens of rules and policies. They serve pancakes and French toast but have a house policy that they dont serve syrup. You have to show proof of vaccination or negative covid test to eat inside. As if that werent bad enough, EVERY TABLE outside was covered with dirty dishes. Hostess walked away and didnt return or acknowledge us. We didnt even bother waiting

Memo to the owners....People are going out because they want to experience a restaurant and be waited upon. Especially in this day and time. When you then ask customers to get up and go to a cash register or enter a bunch of information online to order from the table because you will not provide waiters or waitresses, youre destroying a process for normalization and immediately annoying your patrons. If you are in the restaurant business you know how hard it is to get and maintain a customer and have them to come back. Not coming back. Ive lived in Calabasas for 17 years and Ive only been to Blue Jam a few times, and for good reason. Todays experience reminded me of why I do not need to return there. Food was average and the experience was low class.

Good breakfast options for any appetite or food restrictions. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Mildly pricy for some items, but keep that in mind when planning to go. Supplement: Theyre open post Covid. Now you order online. And pay the tip in advance for awful service. Food still good but they need to upgrade service or reduce prices. And I dont like leaving a tip in advance when the staff didnt earn it.

Breakfast quesadilla was very good. French toast was too sugary. Ive had both of their French toast varieties now and both are lacking. Theyre being too cute. A simple custard covered bread would be better(like Mimis).

The Blu Jam Café in Tarzana is great except the parking -- for those who just want to run in and get their takeout -- is a NIGHTMARE. People occupy the Take Out/Delivery Driver slots and remain there beyond the time limit forcing others to circle the block multiple times or park two to three blocks away. The Woodland Hills location is much easier to access and theres ample parking. The food is top-notch!

I went to this location to get breakfast with my husband and after seeing the waiting time, we decided to place a togo order. I went inside but no one was paying attention to me waiting there. One of the waiters told me to get out and stand outside without listening to me asking to place a togo order. I went outside and called them to place an order over the phone. The person on the phone told me my order will be ready in 20 min. after 20 min I went inside to pick up the order but they told me I have to wait another 20 min because my order just got to the kitchen!!!!! I respectfully and calmly asked to speak to the manager because if I wanted to wait for 40 min to get food I would not place a togo order.let me tell youI am not a Karen! I am a very calm person but the manager was SO RUDE. I explained the situation respectfully and her answer was on the weekends orders take 40 min although I told her that I was told by her staff that it would take 20 min. I told her I cant wait another 20m and I would like a refund. She ROLLED HER EYES in my face and went to the kitchen. She came back and said that I have to wait another 10 min and it will be ready and then left!!! I was so frustrated but decided not to ruin my morning so I did not say anything. I waited another 10 min. I came back in after 10 min. I saw another frustrated costumer trying to talk to them about his pick up order but no one was behind the counter. After a couple of minutes the manager came and saw me, went to the kitchen and grabbed my order, handed me the bag and turned her back on me. Not even a word!!!! An apology would have been nice since it was your staff who messed up!!!!! The other costumer asked what is going on! How did you manage to get your order? I have been waiting for a long time!!! I just said this is not acceptable. Now regarding the food They gave me a cold soggy french toast and cold breakfast burritos, and they forgot to add bacon to the breakfast burritos although they charged me for it. I assume the good reviews are for the dine in costumers and not the togo orders because I was not the only one who was having problems with a togo order.

I barely give this review but I m still in doubt if this is a real BluJam cafe branch! I ve been a regular visitor to the Whilshire branch but this one gave me The worst breakfast experience I ever had, and we paid $60 for 2 people! The checkin and ordering process that doesn t give you option to pay at the table( online menu is everywhere) but forcing to pay before food arrives is definitely not nice, The staff were inexperienced, the food came and juices and coffe came 10min later, A complete burnt egg Benedict, a so called fresh orange juice taste anything but fresh, too pricey for no reason. Definitely NOT RECOMMEND!

Food was good but service was not good. There is terrible cell service at the restaurant so it took us forever to be able to look at the menu and order. We got our coffees after we got our food and only after we asked where they were. Not sure I would go back due to the service. Also, not cool, the app made it very difficult to adjust the tip down from the default 15%.

Food is good. I got the breakfast quesadilla, my friend got a benedict and we got the crispy frenchie toast to split with his son. Food is good. Enjoyable. Im not a fan of how you have to order by phone. At least here. They let you order at the cash register. But, not a fan of that.

I used to go to this place , and I loved it.but hear for the first time we went for breakfast.nobody asks you what you want.you have to order online at restaurant and that ine does not even work and you have to go to cashier to place an order.staff were not friendly.

Loved it so much, we had brunch here 3 days in a row. All together, we ordered the rancheros, breakfast burrito, Florentine Benedict, and make your own omelette, fresh OJ, and cappuccinos. Everything was super yummy and fresh. Great service (a little slow but totally understandable given the long weekend rush). Each entree is the perfect size for one hungry adult

First time tasting this restaurant. Personnel very courteous, attentive and good advice. They followed the rules to protect the clientele (COVID). This brings confidence to dine in. We ordered Blu Jam Benedict, and quesadilla. The food was delicious and nicely presented. It was more on the pricey side for the type of food. Yet, we will come back and recommend this place.
