Made from scratch, made by hand since 1994. Fast casual restaurant, bagel factory, bakery, delicatessen, catering and more.
Found this gem thanks to Google maps. Within walking distance of Marriott Woodlands. It is everything you imagine by the name. Had delicious chicken avocado sandwich served warmed polished off with a slice of delicious NY style cheesecake. Great variety of options. Canβt go wrong.

Incredible atmosphere. Instantly felt at home in the beautifully designed room catching the sunrise. At the counter, Jade was great and even accommodated a hybrid takeout and dine in order and brought my bagel to my table. It was my first time so Jade recommended that I try the blueberry bagel with the house made honey walnut schmear. Local gem and great place to unwind after an early commute!

First timer, here ππΌ ! I was skeptical about trying this place because it had mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a try anyhow. The lady at the front counter greeted me with a big smile + friendly demeanor. She provided me with the house favorites, as well as her own personal favorite. I decided to try the Ruben pastrami sandwich, and glad I did. It was delish! I highly recommend. It may not be a βNew York made sandwichβ, but if youβre on the west coast, itβs pretty darn close to it. :)

Old New York Deli & Bakery Co. is a wonderful little deli gem. The variety of baked goods, sandwiches, and great coffee is impressive. The espresso is rich and delicious. The pastrami reuben sandwich stole the show - delicate, decadent pastrami sliced thinly to perfection. My only critique is the pickles came in a plastic bag, making them look less appetizing visually.
But overall, it's an authentic deli experience with quality fare worth visiting. Just be prepared for the bagged pickles alongside your delectable reuben or pastry.

Place highly recommended if you don't mind to have a hair in your food.
Noticed hair in the sandwich, plate with food given to the shift manager, manager confirmed black hair in the sandwich, even notified the kitchen employee of her Har in the food and... NOTHING, the store manager will call you back. Not even take this food item off the check. Paid full check, two weeks and counting waiting for manager call.
Good luck with your food!!!

I so wanted go enjoy this place. The atmosphere is diverting and modern. The employees are attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive. As I walked by a table to order I saw what looked like perfect buttermilk pancakes a couple was enjoying, a good sign. I ordered a cornbeef on rye sandwich, that when I received it, looked exactly as the picture in their advertisements, a rarity. Unfortunately, the sandwich was awful. Dry, overly lean, boiled beef with very little "corning" flavor. I was surprised the sandwich only took 2 minutes to receive but now I understand. I wouldn't be surprised if they were pre-made. It was a letdown, a 20 buck let down with coleslaw. I bought some bake goods as well. I'm hoping they faire better than my sandwich.

The decor was nice and rustic and the employee handled my order rather quickly. However, when I received my bagel (I had bacon, egg, and cheese), it was burned. My everything bagel's seeds were all crispy and dark and it was unpleasant to consume. It doesn't help that it was nine dollars for a thin sandwich with american cheese instead of cheddar. Not very "Old New York" of y'all.
Thank you

Did you say carbs? All in all, a great place.
It is a typical Jewish but very good. We shared an omelet and the very rich chocolate babka French toast. Both were delicious and the servings sizes were decent. But the best item was the extremely fresh and light rye toast.
We will be back.
We have been back several times. However, the prices keep increasing, but the quality abs portions are not. In not a cream cheese snob, however, the cream cheese portion on my bagel and cream cheese was barely enough even for me, especially for $4.99 (bagel no cream cheese $1.99). Our whole meal, a keto plate(2 eggs, 4 thin slices of bacon and 1,/2 smallish avocado), bagel and cream cheese, fancy coffee, water and extra bagel to go totaled over$30.

I just came out of this dump. It s not authentic New York food The pastrami is over priced and is so much fat in it. It s ridiculous. The bagel chips taste like plastic because they put it in a plastic container. The matzoh ball soup had big chunks of vegetables that you could choke on, and let s not forget their cream soda. They have on tap it taste like whiskey the coleslaw even taste like whiskey and the potato salad was hard as rocks don t waste your time or your money. Gave back the food, asked for a refund and they was giving me a hard time the cashier and manager well, never be coming back

My onion bagel was pretty stiff and tasteless matzo ball soup was bland didn t even taste like salt or spices were used. 3 stars because service wasn t awful and the atmosphere wasn t bad. Maybe other items taste better?

The meat was extremely fatty and tough and not that much taste. I actually threw it out. If you want great pastrami go to Langers deli near downtown or Katz s deli in NYC

Food is mediocre, but full priced. Order at the counter, and they bring it to you, if they can find you. Serve-yourself soft drinks, but they expect a 15%+ tip? Service is minimal, and lacking. Dont bring one meal out minutes before the other persons- whats wrong with you? Ambiance is lacking.. Country/Softpop music was not setting the mood of an East Coast deli. Cobb salad came with rock hard bagel chips. Bagel chips are for dipping in soup to soften them- not for salads. Salmon plate was identical to the one at Dennys, aside from the tasteless quinoa side- no sauce or seasoning.. just dry and plain, with unseasoned boiled broccoli and carrot chips. Bakery items looked dry and unappealing. Dirty nearby tables were left in an unappetizing state. I dont know what I was expecting from a Canoga Park New York deli. Next time Ill make the drive to Cantors.

We have seen this place each time, we have been to this plaza. I, figured lets try this business maybe the expection was too high. The experience at this establishment was beyond poor. Here are the reasons: 1st: If looks can be decieving, this business ranks the top. It looks nice and cozy on the outside. However, the inside says differently. The tables had full of plates and it was dirty. As for the atmosphere it seemed rather gloomy. It was certainly not welcoming as assumed when it looks cozy on the outside. 2nd: The employees were NOT AT ALL WELCOMING!! The employees who at the front counter were not helpful. I, had to ask I count 5 different times for our food I was completely ignored each time. I, noticed our order which was placed online was sitting on a shelf. I did point out to one of the employees of our order that was on the shelf. Again, she completely ignored me and gave ATTITUDE! I, took the initative to reach for the bag on the shelf. Since no one was assisting. The employee with ATTITUDE, grabs our order from the shelf then hands me the bag with ATTITUDE IN ALL!! 3RD: Our food was simple. French Toast Combo: The bread was bland and had unknown after taste. The eggs seemed like powdered eggs and tasted sour. The beyond sausage had burnt after taste. Corn Beef Hash Burrito With Potato Added: There was barely any corn beef hash. The little corn beef hash was burnt. The egg tasted sour and had unusual smell as if old and stale eggs. The potato which was added, it had pieces of ice crystals still in the potato. The Fries ordered also had pieces of ice crystals and few pieces were raw. Overall: I, was highly disappointed with this business. I was hoping it would be an outstanding restaurant. Which was based on the cozy feeling on the outside. In which extremely DECIEVING!!! However, that changed very quickly after the experience. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! NOR, WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE! IN FACT I WILL BE SURE TO PASS ON, SPREAD THE WORD THIS BUSINESS IS BY FAR THE WORST!! THE PRICE IS NOT EVER CLOSE TO EVER BEING WORTH SPENDING!! NOTE: TO THE OWNERS OF THIS BUSINESS, I HOPE YOU LOSE YOUR BUSINESS!! THIS IS HOW HORRIBLE THE EXPERIENCE WE ENCOUNTERED. OVERALL, I HAVE NO SHAME SPREADING THE WORK. NOR, DO I HAVE ANY PITY ON THIS BUSINESS OR ITS STAFF!! LASTLY: ALL THE STAFF NEED TO BE HUMBLED!! NEED, TO BE SMARTEN UP!! THE ATTITUDE HAS TO GO, MAYBE ITS TIME THE ENTIRE STAFF NEED TO BE REMOVED. INCLUDING THE KITCHEN STAFF!! ANOTHER BUSINESS WORTHY SHOULD TAKE ITS PLACE!!!

Wasn t that busy but cashier Cam seemed overwhelmed and in a bad mood. It was our first time and the place it self is very nice but not welcoming at all. Aside from that Danish was bland and doughy, rugelach cookies over priced $18 a lb and there is no prices up on the bakery cases, iced latte was horribly bitter when i asked if they could pour some more milk to hopefully fix it he gave me the whole gallon and then left. Just a bad experience not worth it at all.

I may have had too high of an expectation due to the lack of bacon egg and cheese sandwiches available in California but I don t think the egg sandwich was worth over $9.00. The Kaiser roll wasn t one that resembles a NY roll at all and it was burned. It looked like only 1 egg was cooked and there really should have been 2, enough to cover the roll. I did buy some cookies on the way out which were ok. The rainbow cookies are definitely not like the Italian rainbow cookies from NY. Also, the bakery section should have its own separate area.

Has some good damage bagel, and a brisket sandwich is to die for. Its a little small but so yummy. The reason I gave service 4 stars and the last time I ordered I did not have the issue of their not answering the phone for orders in. Now next week Ill try again and if it goes well I will up this to 5 stars. They will curbside, a rewards club, and nice desserts. Try it and if they answer for you, then they are better. While. back nobody would answer the phones after many calls in, it was a 2 star service at best Now its been OK but they have to keep it up after before Wheelchair accessibility: Its in a long time center and there are handicap spots rightin front

First time customer. Trying to pick up breakfast for my Valentines Day wedding anniversary. I really wanted to like this place. The counter staff needs training, lots of training. Imagine walking into a deli, ordering a water bagel, being told (with attitude) we dont have that, only plain bagels. THATS WHAT A WATER BAGEL IS!!! Ugh. Attitude! And it didnt help the other counter person was on the phone yelling at a customer. Thanks, but no thanks.

Its a nice place, good service. I would give the food an 8 out of 10, it could be better if they took care of the details of the presentation of the dish. Very commercial, a little far from traditional. Parking: It is a large plaza with many parking spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: First floor

Clean restaurant. I picked up my first order here based on a recommendation from work. Ordered the grilled Reuben: delicious, hot and fresh. Quality ingredients and fast service. The fries and cole slaw that came with it are very good. What a great find. Could be argued that it is on the pricier side, but the meal is huge and perhaps worth sharing. The value is here. I am so glad I found this place. I also heard that their breakfast is good (and while I waited for my order, it was being served at noon). I highly recommend this place and just had to share my experience. Keep it up and thanks for raising the bar in the neighborhood.

Maybe just because it was a Sunday?? But with 7 employees working, the dining room was a mess. The manager finally cleaned it up, but allowed the 7 employees to stand around chit chatting. Ordered Matzo Ball soup. It was cold. Had to send back. Ordered knish. It was mush, like thrown into a micro and not properly heated. Sandwich Ordered was sorta hot, but not really. For a first time visit, it was not a good experience, and I was so hopeful to find good good.

I had a fantastic Sunday brunch at Old New York Deli & Bakery Co., and it was a pleasant surprise. Their menu offered a wide array of options, including vegetarian choices, and the best part was that breakfast was available all day a definite win in my book! Now, heres the standout feature their bagels. Being a New Yorker, Im quite critical when it comes to bagels, and I dont expect the west coast to match up. But this place is the exception. Bagels, lox, flavored cream cheeses, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and even black & white cookies it felt like a little piece of home right in the heart of Woodland Hills. While the parking lot can be a bit of a hassle, its manageable. The bonus points are the free Wi-Fi and a dog-friendly outdoor area, perfect for alfresco dining with your pup. Vegetarian options: Menu has vegetarian options and substitutes Parking: Its a busy area so getting in and out of the lot can be tough.

First time customer! I came in around 2:30 about 7 people studying in dining area. Nobody ordering or in line. All the tables and booths were filthy. Nobody cleaning them. The cashier seemed annoyed and rushed me. Didnt explain prices or reward system. I ordered decently around $30 but wasnt allowed to join rewards. The cashier just pressed continue/cancel thru the prompts. Didnt let me choose my receipt option either. Was not informed of silverware, refill policy, or coffee station. When I asked a nearby barista she just pointed annoyed as if I should know. Felt lost and out of place. The cashier handed me my box of pastries while I was preparing my coffee and I was obviously not prepared for anything. It was a dine in order with pastries on side. I was expecting to have my whole order delivered to table. So as of my first visit, not very friendly, no direction, no assistance. Price was a little higher but not too bad. Also I missed on reward points.

The crisp yellow light bathing surfaces heavy on woodgrain, this place looks like a cabin on the inside and like some magical world encased in amber on the outside. Grab a mirror and look at yourself in this flattering light because this is how you look like at your best. :) But this is a bakery. With a counter that serves food. So taste of food is important. Service is important. That said, here are the scores: A+ For Ambience. B - for the baked goods. D for Customer Service. - That im-better-than-you attitude has to go , sweetheart. Food taste good, but we waited for 20 minutes for our order. We got 2 out of 3 of our order, the last order was for our 4 year old daughter. The server told us that they are still working on the last and all I hear is the cooks and the servers arguing about the order. So I am assuming that the cooks are not working on it.

Just dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars. My 2nd experience not as great as my first below. While the bagels continue to be great the breakfast sandwiches not so much. This time the bagels on the sandwich were barely toasted and the sandwich was a soft doughy limp mess which was not the case the first time. I ended up deconstructing the sandwich, throwing away the bagel and toasting a new one at home. Next time no more sandwiches for me, Ill just get bagels and make the sandwich at home. Finally. Real bagels on the west coast. Ordered breakfast bagels and a bakers done. Upon pickup the breakfast bagels were toasted and the sandwich was warm. Later my son commented to me that the bagel he ate was one of the best bagels he has ever had. Crunchy and dense, not doughy and spongy. So glad to see real east coast bagels on the west coast.

We usually go to Brents but thought wed give this place a try. Its no Brents. You enter the restaurant and immediately face big screens with the menu, which is large and takes 4 screens to display. Unfortunately, the screens are constantly changing so you cant really read the page before it changes. We asked at the ordering counter and were told to scan the QR code on the front door and read the menu on our phones. Ultimately, we discovered that there were laminated menus taped to the counter at the cash registers. Much better. Things that were good: The burger, fries, and fountain soft drinks. The burger comes on a puffy egg roll, so as long as you like those youll be happy. Things that were OK: The toasted onion bagel that I got with the bagel with lox and cream cheese. Nothing to write home about, but totally fine. tip - order the sandwich deconstructed and assemble it yourself. The pastrami sandwich was also OK...nothing great but fine. The issue was the kaiser roll - it was that same puffy egg roll, not a kaiser roll. Things that disappointed: The matzo ball soup and salad. The matzo ball was mushy and kind of sour tasting, strange. The garden salad came with a balsamic vinaigrette as the only option. Really. Finally theres the New York knish. Awful. Inedible. Soggy on the bottom, mealy in the middle, and barely warm. Ive had good New York knishes, and this missed the mark completely. We asked the person at the counter a few questions, and while she was absolutely pleasant, I didnt think that she really knew what New York deli food should be so we didnt bother her with the knish, just left it uneaten on the table. This place charges premium prices on par with places like Brents, but does not offer table service, pickles and bread on the table, or, in our case, food that we would come back for. All in all a big disappointment.

Absolute garbage. Terrible service. Waited 25 mins for 2 iced coffees and the order came out incorrectly. Save yourself time and despair by going somewhere else.

This place completely dropped the ball. We ordered through Uber eats and both food orders were wrong. You dont replace avocado with bacon on a vegetarians bagel, and a dip without the dip is just a dry sandwich. On top of that we ordered through Uber eats and I had to drive over to correct the order. Once there the gent behind the counter told me he would have personally delivered the food, but the young lady never mentioned that when I called. Did he offer anything to make it up? Free dessert? Discount on the meal? Nope. Well stay with our old standard, Brents in the future.

Bagels are delicious. Breakfast is fantastic. Kinda obsessed with their natural sodas and juices. We love sitting on the patio people watching and making friends with our neighbors.

Love the place, the service and the avocado toast , cookies delish, great beagles! They need to work a little more in the french toast. The pieces are cut too thick and missing flavor, maybe more cinnamon and nutmeg can make the trick.
