Since I'm new to Woodland Hills I was as I always am delighted to chance upon this Whole Foods on my daily 10,000 step walks.
This one feels more upscale than the others I've been to. More like a Gelsons with the same high end choices like freshly sliced prosciutto and even fresher melon to go with it.
They've also got a rather impressive selection of wine, spirits, seafood and butcher stations.
Whole foods get's a bad rap for the cost but I enjoy there are things here you can't find at a Ralphs or Safeway. I don't mind paying premium price for what always feels like superior quality items.
It's like a large commercially run (as opposed to mom & pop) specialty store with most of the same common items as any other market only better.
Oh, and not for nothing. This one, unlike all the others have been to has an outdoor dining area.
Viel Spaß!

Nice store, but parking spots are very narrow, and unfortunately some of the clientele are very rude. I had parked my car in a spot, inside the lines and as I got out, there was a man in his 40s inside a white sedan next to me, sitting there waiting with the window open, who yelled “are you seriously going to open your door”. I didn’t say anything and exited my car, careful not to touch his car. When I got back, he was gone, but he had chewed and spit up food and smeared it all over my door handle. It could have been way worse, but I will not be returning to this location due to this incident.

2 stars. It’s Whole Foods, it’s quality. But the security guard is obnoxious. This guy literally circled my family numerous times and then he stood near us at checkout. Really? I look suspicious to you with my three kids who are 11, 8, and 4? I felt so disrespected. I’m sure during that time the people he should have been watching pocketed their items lol. Thanks for making me feel so low. Glad my children are too young to recognize what occurred. Shame on him!

March 2023
I travel full time for work and every week I go to a new Whole Food Market.
This is the worst I have ever been.
I love the salad bar but here the selection was miserable. No many items to chose from. Old salad. The container weren't organized.
Long lines at the check out .
It is so small compared to the majority of whole foods
Published at 2 years ago
I give this place 1 star because compared to other Whole Foods this is a third tier store. The parking is horrible, small spots, always full. The store itself is smaller than most other WFs, the fruit and vegetable section doesn't offer a huger variety of items. The checkout is a nightmare, understaffed, and long lines. The cashiers are not very friendly. The most beautiful and big WF closed in Tarzana and they kept this location? Shame!

The staff approached me in the aisle wanting to assist, also the woman at checkout was more helpful than I expected. I appreciate the extra effort it more than made up for any odd experiences I had that day. W Foods consistently has the best employees of any grocery store I ve visited in California

This store used to be fantastic new owners dumbed it down considerably and it s interesting clientele are gone new foods across the store are less interesting and more expensive I ate a nice sub sandwich at the meat counter and the tomato s were rotten the bread stale and crumbling and the lettuce collapsed it was the worst sub San for $14.00 I ever ate the yogurts are bad go to sprouts. The cheese poked they had their last day and were disorganized all a marker of uninterested Employees! The cashiers I can attest to are the same unfriendly. The meats dairy fish vegetables fruits are good and cosmetics this place are good but pricy.

From the staff who allow pet dogs to lick the counters and floors at the hot food bar to the self checkout tablets that look like magnified Petrie dishes, this store is disgustingly dirty. Be careful not to look down at the self checkout stands because youll be faced with wads of filth and packed dust. I made the mistake of using the restroom once. What are the employees doing about any of it? Absolutely nothing! Too busy yapping amongst themselves. The staff members mostly stand around, gossiping, instead of cleaning and sanitizing the store, which is so desperately needed. Ive actually reported a group of 4 having a very inappropriate conversation about a hot new male employee once. It wasnt just unprofessional; if the genders were switched, it would be grounds for termination. Over the years, Ive noticed fewer people shopping here, and Im certain that the stores grimy appearance and apathetic staff have a lot to do with it. No one in management seems to care; I get canned, pre-packaged answers to every question and concern. I hardly ever shop here any more, even though its the WFDS closest to home. Id rather drive 6-10 miles away to get to a clean store with decent management. At this point, I only run in here for 5 items or less. Everything about the environment is toxic. I dont know how the staff manages to ruin basic cheese pizza orders, but theyre highly capable...of weaponizing incompetence. I added a star for the fairly decent selection and local convenience.

A pleasant experience, of sorts. Parking is a small challenge but manageable. The store is stocked well. The produce department offers fresh fruits and vegatables at reasonable prices. But what is reasonable these days with everything being so expensive. That being said, Whole Foods is not outlandish in their pricing. Their selection of fresh fish and meat is exceptional. I really like their hot food bar. That feature is great for a quick dinner pick up after a long fatiging day. Their hot food bar offer meat, fish, vegatarian, vegatables, salad fixings, etc. The food is really tasty. The offer freshly baked bread of various flavors. Love their sourdough or olive breads. The loaves come in big round balls but they will slice it for free. Whole foods has a cheese selection that is mammoth. Ive tried many different types and have yet to be disappointed. Their wine selection is top notch. All in all, you wont be disappointed by shopping there. And, if you happen to be lucky enough to go to Gia, the tall cashier, your shopping experience will be topped off with a memorable and most pleasant experience.

Worst choices and quality at prepared food bar. Consistently bad. Why charge more than Amazon Fresh? Amazon fresh has the best selection of tasty prepared foods and they re far less expensive. They seem to know how to do it. So does Bristal Farms and Gelsons. Why is this location still open ? Close , so a competently run store can take its place

My recent visits to Whole Foods have been consistently disappointing, to say the least. The self-checkout experience is a nightmare, as the team stationed there seems to be utterly disinterested in providing any assistance whatsoever. Whether its a malfunctioning scanner or an item that wont register, dont expect any help theyre too busy chatting amongst themselves. And lets talk about the bakerys pizza if you enjoy stale, unappetizing slices, then youre in luck. Sadly, fresh seems to be a foreign concept to them. But the real cherry on top of this dismal experience is the return area, where an older lady with a penchant for rudeness reigns supreme. Her sharp tone and disdainful attitude towards every customer make you feel like youve committed a crime just by walking in. Whole Foods used to be a beacon of quality and service, but now its nothing short of hellish. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.

I showed the app showing availability of the item, your staff members decided not to do anything. They simply get worse and worse. I tried to order a fruit plate and they tell me they need 48 hour notice and it has to be online. The quality of the prepared foods has lessened (greatly) the vegan options have dropped. It is like some MBA is making all the decisions based strictly on squeezing out profit in the short term not concerned about customers leaving. They used t be packed before the holidays. Not any more. I remember a number of years ago a friend who owned a health food store told me that the secret to competing with Whole Foods is to simply pay attention to your customers...too bad he retired. I remember his store had 1/20 the floor space and 2x the selection for me.

A store worker and the security guard was blocking the entrance, talking and laughing, while people tried to get around them... When I asked them politely to let us get in they eyeballed me. When I asked where the Amazon drop off is the worker was very rude and not helpful showing me the way. Beside all this, the parking was a mess, too Well, I will never return to that store.

Don t get food here from the deli department. Very rude, unfriendly and not professional at all. They do not value there customers, you cannot even get fresh bread when your paying your money for a sandwich. The worker told me I had to use the hard stale bread that had been out all day. Very dissatisfying and disappointing for a Whole Foods store!

I used to go here all the time and this used to be a really good Whole Foods but now I guess since Amazon owns it it all went downhill. I used to get the sandwiches with the grilled onions and get them grilled and now they say they no longer do that. Now it s just a cold plain sandwich. For $10. Anyone have any recommendations of good sandwich places nearby? And the employees aren t friendly anymore either. I don t think Whole Foods cares anymore.

I sometimes wish the Burger King would close and this Whole Foods could inherit its footprint for parking. Often I find the delivery charges worth it to avoid the crowds here. However, if you go during a slack time and depending on how youre entering and leaving it, it can be surprisingly convenient. Just make sure you take advantage sales and your Amazon Prime discounts. Suggestion for the managers - can you look into getting some of the very small carts? This might actually make it easier to maneuver for some.
