I walked in to Safir for the 1st time this past weekend on my own and I'm so glad I did. This is authentic Persian food. Matt took care of my order and recommended Khoresh Bademjan because I was craving a stew since it was freezing outside. It came with a side of basmati rice. I also ordered a Chai and it was sooo delicious, bursting with cardamom! The bread seems to be stonefired and I loooved dunking it in the stew. I can't wait to come back and try the kabobs.

I give low rating one the food quality is horrible if you want quality Persian food the best one in CA is Daryas restaurant in Santa Monica. Their beef and chicken combination are the best and high quality with high need service than Safir restaurant. Don’t waste your time to come to this place!!!! The boss is so unprofessional and doesn’t value his customer nor respect them. It’s a shame!! I was here for a Persian events and many said it’s too loud and I asked politely if he can adjust the volume as our ears were being effective negative he rudely replied it is not his problem!! He won’t adjust it. And he refused to give the wifi and his quality of food was so low. Very disappointing experience!!! My ears are so closed so as my friends and families!!! If you love your ears avoid at all cost!! The only thing I give two star to was his waiter who were working so hard and were wonderful. The boss on the other hand it’s so disappointing and a just a shame. If the waiters didn’t not work here. I would give this place -5. I ve been coming to Safir for 10 years. This is the best Mediterranean Restaurant in the valley. Food is freshest and very delicious. They use quality meat/ingredients. The owner never compromises anything even during the Covid pandemic. It is so wonderful to see the owner caring about quality these days when everyone is cutting corners. Safir has live music on weekends and the place is very spacious (you can dance too) & also there is covered outdoor seating. Everything is excellent when it comes to ambience, food, and services. Everything was great , especially the music! We went there on a Friday night for family birthday party and had a truly enjoyable time. Mr. Mahmoud Ghorbani s song selection is outstanding, and his voice is impeccable. He chooses both new and old songs, as well as traditional tunes with another artist who plays the dulcimer, creating an amazing atmosphere. The food and service are also very good. The price is very reasonable as well! . Overall, we had a fantastic time dancing and enjoying the evening. Thank you Safir!

Ok so the food was fire it made me forget about the bad customer service .for a moment I ordered through grubhub no one called me to tell me my order had arrived or on the way they don t have a tracking system because the restaurant delivers their own orders and when I called the restaurant the person at the restaurant had the worst attitude and told me I was wasting their time when I was only calling to tell the delivery guy that I saw him walk past my apartment through my ring camera . Then the guy at the restaurant proceeded to yell at me and tell me multiple times that the delivery drivers don t go inside the building when in fact the delivery driver was already inside my building . It was my first time ordering from here and I wasn t aware of the policy. Regardless the restaurant staff should have treated me with more respect. I in no way shape or form was rude to this man.

Im sorry after 3 visit yesterday food soltani and kashk badenjan was dried and bread was burnt we have respect for owner but im not sure why he did not follow as we said juicy kabab not well done and dry ... we come a long way to come to safir for our past visit the food was great not this time.

I love Safir for lunch, its a quiet and chill spot with quality food. I enjoy ordering the Cornish hen (chicken kabob with bone-in). Their shirazi salad is fresh and tasty, they also have live music weekend nights.

Yesterday was my first and definitely the last time at Safir restaurant. We had a reservation for a group of fifteen, but the whole experience was a disaster. As we arrived, the manager had the audacity to blame us for not answering the phone when they had actually written down the wrong number. Talk about frustrating! Theres this waiter, Mehrdad, who seemed to have a permanent frown on his face. He flat-out refused to take our orders multiple times until we had to beg the manager, Mr. Barani, to intervene. It was like pulling teeth to get him to finally jot down our orders. An agonizing hour later, our food finally appeared, but it was a circus. Half of our group got served first, and the rest had to twiddle their thumbs for an additional 20 minutes. And the cherry on top? They messed up orders left and right, bringing us food we didnt even ask for. Fed up, I confronted the manager about the chaos. What I got in return was mind-boggling. He had the nerve to put the blame on us, saying our order sequence was the problem, and he actually had the audacity to claim they did everything perfectly. To make matters worse, the restaurant was so noisy that we could barely hear ourselves think, let alone have a decent conversation with our guests. Suffice it to say, everyone was beyond annoyed with the terrible service and atmosphere. This entire experience was an absolute nightmare, and I wont stand by while others waste their time and money at Safir restaurant. They need a reality check and some serious improvement before anyone should even consider giving them business.

The Worst Management, Horrible Customer Service. LAST TIME I EVER GIVE THIS PLACE ANY BUISNES. Their Food does not taste as good as others. Absolutely not worth giving them any business. When I tried to order, the owner was too bothered answering my questions and throw the menu in front of me and said all your answers are there... look and when you ready order. I should have walked away then. But I placed an order and paid, No Manner nothing, with such attitude When your order gets ready we will call you .... Runaway!!! This place has horrible customer service. For $40 a person AND 15% additional charge of the total bill added for music entertainment, you would think they would have decent service on a Saturday night. Miserable, and the music is loud no point going with a group because you can t talk to anyone. Just listen to loud musical and eat a very expensive dinner. Never coming back here.

First of all is, the owner is rude and no customer service whatsoever. The drinks tasted bad like water. The DJ needs to be updated. There were people from different countries or Latin America and he only plays old salsa music.We are in America from different cultures, we all need to be pleased and satisfied. We are in Safir restaurant , so disappointed for service When we received the manager has a very very bad attitude to give us the table .( have reservation for 6 people) They served black tea in first hours and after 3 hours to ask to bring the hot tea again , manager of restaurant said we are not serve tea again in clean cup . Just you can use the old cup . How ??? It s the first time that we see this situation in Iranian restaurant Mr. Barani is manager of restaurant. He doesn t know to deal with customers Never back here and not recommend this place to anybody

The worst Persian restaurant I ve even been to:( The music was horrible. Based on the reservation and the package they have to have a belly dancer but did not show up, the singer showed up very late saying her musician were sick and someone else took over which was unfamiliar with the singer s songs. The food package which supposed to include everything ( one appetizer, one drink and one food) was a lie, they have charged everything separately in addition to the $40 for the main food. I mean what the . Very expensive and unprofessional, the fork felt down on the floor and the server picked it up from the floor and put it back on the table to use again . Overall I would never be back to this place again and won t recommend it to anyone at all

I would give them a 0 star if possible found a cockroach in my plate while eating. Definitely would notify health department on this case. When I asked for my refund there was a rude guy whose name was Barani and he didn t care about my complaint and said it is what it is you can not come here anymore if you want to. Very rude. Please please do not eat here if you care about your food quality

I have been going to Safir Resturant s since I was a little girl in Reseda and Now and Woodland Hills for so many years even my three teenage kids enjoy it I recommend this restaurant to everyone. There was a group of Persian speaking Tajiks who were invited by the host singer to play their music or sing, they went to present their music, however at the beginning of their performance the music was stopped by the restaurant owner and they felt very embarrassed in front of all guests. It was a type of segregation against Tajik community and this inappropriate behavior singled out the Tajik in front of non Tajik community. There were several guests who got disappointed and expressed their concerns with the over. The Tajik guests and some of other Persian guests left the restaurant after to express their disappointment.

I was so excited to go there to celebrate my motger birthday. There were over 15 guests from Tajikistan were there. They were invited to play their music, however, in the middle of the music, the restaurant owner stopped them. They got very embarrassed and left. I have never seen this type of discriminatory action against a community in LA. The owner singled out this community among all guests. There were a lot of people who got disappointed. This is unacceptable manner and it should be stopped immediately and the owner should apologize them. I have posted the video for your reference.

During the peak of covid this restaurant was open for take out and the owner was very nice and food is good. Now it seems that restriction has been loosened and more people can come to dine here yet the owner decides all of a sudden to decline Groupon. If this is the case please update your Groupon policies so people don t purchase thinking they are getting a deal when they will be declined to use it when picking up from you and have to end up paying full price. This is poor business practice. Honor your groupons and retain customers

Why does this restaurant have a 4.0 ??? I went there with a friend on Sunday after the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed. I AM SO HAPPY THAT MY FRIEND MAHTAB REFERRED ME THERE. It was the best Persian food I have had in the San Fernando Valley. The food was fresh and organic. The humus was perfect and the fish plate was delish. This is my go-to place for Persian food from hereon.

I purchased a Groupon and this is my first time who from this restaurant. Today is 8/23/2020. I made a phone call ordered two chicken kabob with out rice. The c guy was cordial over the phone and said it will be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant about 1:25 pm. I saw 2 customers without masks sitting outside looking at menus. I went inside the guy who must be the owner was inside not wearing a mask. I didnt anything. I had my mask on. What bothered me that the gentleman went outside without a mask taking orders from customers without a mask. Very concerning considering we are in a Pandamic. This restaurant is in violation of putting the public at risk of being exposed to the Corona Virus. I did purchase the food. I am not sure I am going to eat it. What can I say I only want chicken kabobs without the extra Corona on it.

Simplicity is key for me, no bells and whistles although the place is super great by the way, clean place with great brief menu full of awesome choices, great service and very professional people. Fillet mignon Shish Kebab was super tasty, juicy and cooked just at the right medium rare/rare point. The hummus they served me was excellent, smooth like velvet full of flavor. Great food for very very reasonable price, folks this is a must go-to place! Well done Mr Ned @ Safir Restaurant! I ll be back..

Fantastic place to go with friends and family. Excellent customer service and a great Persian food with the affordable prices. Live music and also belly dancer on weekends. It s been about a year that we are going there on every Saturday with our friends. I ve recently uploaded a video from my cellphone in YOUTUBE and you can see how the atmosphere is great out there. The food was clearly not fresh. I believe the leftover from their buffet was served to us. Their house drink (dogh) taste like water. Never going back.

They have the worst costumer service. The waiters had terrible attitude. she was shouting on us when we had a question to ask. I dont recommend Safir to anyone. NEVER go back!!!

Food is ok...entertainment is not as good as before. The worst is service. If you plan to go there in a large party, take your own hostess. They have 2-3 for the entire place.
