The valley is filled with all sorts of amazing diners and Nat s is definitely one of them. I drive up to the valley from West LA frequently for great diners and would highly suggest trying this one out if you haven t already. It s a traditional country diner with large sized portions and fair pricing. They have a very small parking lot in the back, but it was full when we arrived for Saturday brunch so we had to do metered street parking. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out quickly. Inside is really homely and fairly small. They don t have outdoor seating so if it s very busy, expect to wait a little bit for one of the inside tables. They have a fairly large menu, and it has all the classic options that you would expect. As always I started with a cup of coffee and it was strong and delicious. We also shared a Cinnamon Roll to start our meal and it was honestly really good. It did not have the traditional white cream cheese frosting, but I still enjoyed it. For my meal, I chose the Short Rib Benedict and thought it was terrific. The meat was really tender, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I would definitely order it again. Overall a great diner and a solid breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot. I plan to be back in the near future to try more items. Parking: free small parking lot in back

Nat s on Ventura is a delightful neighborhood spot that feels like home from the moment you walk in. The cozy atmosphere, combined with the friendly and attentive staff, makes for a welcoming experience every time. The menu offers a wide variety of classic American breakfast and lunch options, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend the pancakes they re fluffy, delicious, and generously portioned. The coffee is always fresh, and the service is consistently excellent. If you re looking for a warm, inviting place to enjoy a comforting meal, Nat s on Ventura is the place to be. It s a true gem in the heart of the Valley!

Great breakfast! Someone suggested this place online in a group, so I decided to check it out. Went on a Sunday morning. If you go on a Sunday, prepare to wait. People were standing outside waiting! I was by myself, so opted to eat at the breakfast bar. I had my food within 10 min!! I decided on the Joeys Tortilla chip Scramble Its pretty much Chiliqillas without the sauce and crisper tortillas, which is why I ordered. So good!!! I asked for sauce on the side and poured it on. Yum. Will be coming back!

What a place! Just everything about this place is pleasant. Food, service, vibe . The food is fresh and flavourful. In this world of high fructose corn syrup, Sucralose and artificial sweeteners, here you get to have freshly squeezed Orange juice! Love this place! Food

I like the traditional look of the restaurant thier service is so nice, and they are very kind. I hope they add some yellow light or shaded decorative lights to the walls. The only thing that bothered me was the cold, ice general lights. Everything else was fine. And the food seems healthy. The omelet was cooked nicely and vegetables were fresh.

This place was a hidden gem but such a great find! Me and my friend wanted to get a quick bite for breakfast and being from Colorado I m not really familiar with the area yet although I ve been here for a year and I googled breakfast near me and this place was the closest so I decided to pick Nats and was amazed at how quick the food was brought to our table and the deliciousness quality of my food! Me and my friend were satisfied and will defiantly be making this place out goto place for breakfast :)

Review №42

Normally not bad for breakfast as we have eaten there many times before. Not to seem petty buy I give everyone three attempts at competence before I resort to a negative review. My share of the order was a Denver omelette with biscuits and gravy. The gravy had a sour taste but I consumed about half of it anyway. The omelette looked like two 1/4 layers of cooked fruit-cake and flipped over to resemble an omelette. It tasted about as good as it looked. I tried some of it then pushed the order aside. I pointed it out to the server and she claimed all The Denvers look the way. Expecting to have it taken off the invoice I was given a full price check for both orders. I questioned the server on this and she stated she had approached the manager (Leslie) and was told not to discount the total in lieu of the epic fail from the kitchen. I asked to speak with Leslie to verify the servers claim. Leslie stated there would be NO discount or removal of the order from the check as some had been eaten. It took nearly five minutes of arguing with Leslie about the poor quality and miserable level of customer service she provided until she finally offered to take off 50% of my side of the total order. Then, when I made her aware I would post a Yelp review within 30 minutes, she smiled and said, thats fine! Ultimately, she offered what should have never been a discussion in the first place, to refund my side of the total order. I paid the entire amount and will never return.

The coffee consistently tastes like ashtray (not an exaggeration, add all the milk and creamer available). The scrambles are hearty and satisfying. Everything is really delicious in the south of the border section of the menu. Good morning music, feels like home, feels like a real version of LA, staff is wonderful and responsive and friendly, menu is extensive and honestly everything I ve had over the years is good but if you re hoping for like, very high quality steak with your eggs it s probably not going to happen. So if you re ok with terrible coffee that gets the job done it s really the only thing you ll be :/ about.

Review №56

Been here before, just finally getting around to doing a review now. Depending on the time of day, and the day itself, parking can be really easy, or a pain in the you-know-what. The food is delicious! Also a great value since its about $2 to $5 less than say the bigger chain places like a Dennys or IHOP. Its definitely fresh, in some cases too Fresh. For instance, one person at our table ordered cantaloupe. They literally bring out 1 half cantaloupe. It was a task to try to cut it up, since it was so fresh and stiff. Side note, I really wish they would have just brought out a bowl of cut up cantaloupe. The service is great. Theyll come around once to take your drink order, then come around another time to take a food order. They bring you the food. Theres a little bit of a lull when they come around again to see if you need anything else, and then one last visit for the check. You do pay at the cashier. Its a great place, theres just a couple things I think they should work on trying to improve such as: This place is Booth, all Booth, the whole booth, and nothing but the booth. No matter where you sit, half of the table is in a booth, if not the whole table is a booth. The way it is set up now is that the table inside the booth is bolted to the floor. So you cant really adjust the table inside of the booth. It would be nice if they had some kind of central area with freestanding tables, that they/You can move around, and adjust as necessary. A great example would be like if your a heavier person, or a smaller tiny person/child, or you just want to move the table 3 inches to the left for whatever reason. Other than that, I give this place for stars for now. Lets see if there is a remodel in the works, probably not, to make the seating situation a little bit more variable oh, so that I can then bring this place up to five stars.

I have never been to Nats for any meal but breakfast. Today I met friends for lunch. So disappointed. First, I m assuming because they close early, I ordered an iced decaf coffee. After putting 2 French vanilla creamers, it was still a grey color, and so bitter. It had to be old, and the bottom of the pot. Then my French dip sandwich came. It looked and smelled awful. I also think their fries are frozen. Showed our server, she asked me what else I wanted, so I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. Same uneatable fries, sand witch was ok. Not sure what has happened to our local great little restaurant?!? But, will only be coming for breakfast, and that won t be for a while. MarciaG

Looking for a breakfast place after working out, I found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Traditional diner, nothing fancy, nice and friendly staff (love our waitress who was very accommodating and who loves her job) coffee immediately served upon request (which I appreciate when trying to wake up). Menu is filled with the basic breakfast stuff but I opted to go with a selection from the specials and had the homemade spicy turkey scramble with spinach and mushroom, wheat toast and tater tots instead of the hash brown which I highly recommend. Everything came out in 5 minutes, hot and delicious. Eggs fluffy and not over cooked. It wasnt spicy at all. They also have a selection of homemade muffins which I did not try but looked good. Limited parking at the back of restaurant but plenty of metered street parking.
