We had dinner 9/28/24 around 6 pm, three of us. Joanna was our server, we were taken care of by the Manager more than once. Joanna( I am hoping I got her name right) was a delight. She was patient and let us take our time with ordering. Also, we were treated like we were her only table. She made us feel so special. It was a special night because my dear friend of about 50 years and my husband and I were reuniting after years of not getting to connect. Thank you for employing a great server. Dr. And Mrs. Grabowsky and Mrs. Powell.

My husband and I order from here quite often. tonight my husband ordered the Wagyu New York steak, prepared medium. Whatever chef is on shift, decided to butterfly my husband s steak. What chef butterflies a Wagyu steak? They also made my filet well done (I ordered it medium rare). I called them to complain and all they had to say was sorry we are having a party here tonight. Totally disappointed . When you spend 300$ plus on dinner for 2, I guess you expect more .

We went for dinner and when we arrived the stench of the paint and paint thinner was so overwhelming we left from feeling sick. The hostess said its been like that so long we dont notice. So not only do they not care about the health of their employees, apparently the health of their customers is not very important either. Can you imagine having a prime steak and expensive bottle of wine and the only thing you would taste is the paint thinner. The kitchen should have been closed until the smell is resolved. I will NEVER eat here again. Go across the street to Flemings, we did and it was wonderful. Also I am disabled and the elevator was out of order.

Where to start, we used to go to this place at every other week, but at some point we decided was not worth it to spend money in a place that the food and drinks were not to par with the restaurant itself and we stopped going. Yesterday we decided to give them a chance after a year or so that maybe they have better themselves but to my disappointment they didn t and it was worse. We sat at the high top tables, service was ok, food has deteriorated in such a way that is sad the lack of flavor and portions, understanding it was happy hour, we order to start the filet mignon sliders, the bun was two time bigger than the meat and the on slice of mushroom and a mini leaf of lettuce if the show stopper is the bread congrats you nailed it the size of the meat is usually the same size of the bun or a bit larger to show off the dish. Fries as usual the worst dry and over crispy, and the drinks don t get me stated. at that point we decided not to order anything else,we had enough and after $73 of nothing we end up going to have sushi next door.

A night to remember! From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in for an extraordinary evening. Greeted warmly by Assistant Manager Annie, we felt like esteemed guests rather than just customers. Her genuine smile and attention to detail set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience. At the bar, Brendon, Will, and Mike demonstrated a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. They took the time to get to know us, asking about our preferences and making recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly which was then served with their own personal touch. Their expertise in crafting cocktails was evident, and each drink was a masterpiece, tailored specifically to our likes. This level of personalization made us feel valued and well-cared-for. The ambiance of the restaurant was nothing short of enchanting. With beautiful decor that created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for a memorable night out. Adding to the magic was Ken, whose live piano pieces provided the ideal backdrop. His talent on the keys transported us to another world, making the evening even more special. The staffs dedication to making us feel like family was apparent throughout our visit. Every interaction was warm, genuine, and caring. It wasnt just about serving food and drinks; it was about creating a connection and ensuring we had the best possible experience. In conclusion, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations. From the impeccable service provided by Annie, Brendon, Will, and Mike, to the beautiful ambiance enhanced by Kens piano music, every aspect was perfect. The personalized attention from the bartenders truly made a difference, turning a great evening into an unforgettable one. We left feeling not only satisfied but truly cherished. This was, without a doubt, the best service we have ever received, and we look forward to returning soon.

One of my favorite steakhouses. The meat specially the beef is very good and they cook it exactly the way you want it whether its rare or well done. The service is excellent. Great wine selection. Great appetizers. They even have happy hour and live music. Little bit pricey but well worth it. Definitely I would go again.

Food was good. Ambiance was intimate. The only turn off was that the petit sea food tower didn t come with a side of garlic butter sauce. I asked for it and they brought me clarified butter without any flavor. Just oil. not sure why it didn t come with a garlic butter side option the other side sauce were fine but I feel like they could have added the garlic butter type sauce for the tower.

The place is very big and looks great but pretty empty. So you lack the vibes you get on other LA steakhouses. The food is ok. Starters were not that good, steaks were ok and the sides were the best aside from the mash potatoes, which was nothing but creamy. Great service, but Id rather go to other steaks houses that are more traditional and have the right vibe.

Larsens is number one in SoCal for me. I like Flemings but Larsens is still The One . I gave three stars on service because I grabbed a table in the lounge and waited maybe 9-10 mins ppl walking around it wasnt busy and nobody came to my table, went back to the front to make a change and the host (1 of 4ppl) could have done better at grabbing me a seat in the very empty dinning room instead of going through it to the point that I almost bailed. My server was on point and I appreciated that! I ordered 2 Rib Eye Steaks to conpare the 18 oz to the 20 oz 18 won ALL THE WAY! I took them both to go. Thanks Larsens see you again soon

Went from my favorite place to eat literally there twice a week to never again. Since Derek left the new manager is making the place terrible. The wait staff sucks and the atmosphere just feels different. Waiter was like screaming about me asking for extra dressing. Like he has a loud boisterous voice but also maybe try not to broadcast to the entire restaurant that I asked for extra dressing and you want to sit there and debate with me about it. If its really that big of a deal Ill pay for the extra damn dressing. Anyways this place is out. Too bad spent thousands of dollars here I guess they win but I wont be back

I got the 12oz Prime Dry Aged Filet Mignon. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned phenomenally and you had that classic dry aged nutty after taste. The staff was polite, and the Banana Butter Cake was out of this world. I d recommend the Filet Sashimi as a starter, and the Mashed Sweet Potato as a side dish.

Came here for dinner and had a great time. My server was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely (I sat on the patio by the fire pits) and the food and drinks were delicious. I had the happy hour special grapefruit lemon drop. For starters I had the crab cake and for main I got the jidori chicken. The jidori chicken was my favorite which shocked me as I m usually prefer seafood but this chicken dish stole the show!

We celebrated our staff Christmas party at the Woodland Hills Larsens-which is a beautiful restaurant- the experience was mostly good meaning the food and kitchen staff were on top of their game- where they fell short was the wait staff. Confusion with where the individual steak orders and sides belonged too was embarrassing to watch-adjusting the plates two times before getting it right. Aside from that they could also use a little help being more personable. They didn t introduce themselves nor did they seem particularly happy about being there. When you need to ask for water repeatedly somebody needs a refresher course in the art of service. I know it can be tough at times dealing with the public but our table was respectful, patient, and ordering a lot of food. The very least that can be expected is that the service be matching the price level of the restaurant. Merry Christmas

Outstanding place. Loved the food, loved the wine, loved the service. When I got there they brought out an entire loaf of bread from the oven with two types of dips theyll send it vinaigrette and some type of peppered chutney. Both were wonderful. I kind of wish they had butter on the table though as well. I got the 12 oz filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. They actually have a special way to cook the meat so that you can get directly in between medium rare and medium so you can get medium rare plus which is perfectly for me. Sometimes when I get a steak and I ask for a medium its a little overcooked and sometimes when I ask for it medium rare its raw. Larsens cooked it perfectly. I got the cauliflower au gratin and It was way too rich for my blood. Nothing against them. Heart patient and woo was it rich. But if you like that kind of thing it had a wonderful flavor and plenty of cheese on it. I also got the blue cheese wedge and it was tasty but I had to order extra blue cheese to get it the way I like it. This is definitely not a place I would go off and simply be because again of my heart but every once in a while its a wonderful treat. about to order some port and most likely some dessert. I highly recommend this place. Youll feel treated like a king.

Place wasn t bad for a decent steak. We got a bone in ribeye and filet. It came out pretty quick. What I was not impressed by was the appetizers. We ordered the artichoke and crab as well the pork belly s. They came out barely warm. As if they been sitting out for a while. Definitely not fresh. The pork belly s were dry and tasteless. We also ordered the Larsen smokey old fashioned. We ve seen and had this done at Gordon s restaurant. We normally quite enjoy it maybe too much. But this was just a sugary mess.

My husband and I choose to go to Larsens over other steakhouses in the area for a few reasons. Its a beautiful restaurant, first and foremost, the atmosphere there is always welcoming. The food is always delicious & delivered well. Not to mention the butter cake! Even if the meal wasnt all that great, wed go just for that cake alone! But Ive got to say that the main reason we choose to keep going back to Larsens Woodland Hills is for the staff! The hostesses are so welcoming, the management cares about your experience, but the wait staff, they are exceptional! We just went on Saturday and were waited on by Brandon, who has served us before and is always a pleasure. Extremely attentive and personal while being professional. We also had William who waited on us as well, and I can not say enough good things about him. William was not only hilarious but so sweet and went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special and make us feel special. Between the experience and the food we always leave satisfied & looking forward to returning again whether its another celebration or a more special date night.

I love the place but I wish at a minimum for the prices you charge and to remain 5 stars, have men remove their hats, it only downgrades the style, class, and atmosphere of the Larson experience. A collared shirt would be nice but I know that is asking to much. The wrinkled t shirts, flip flops and dirty baseball hats will only lead to your downfall. It is probably only happy hour customers but you can still dress that up a little. The bartenders and staff are awesome. 8-4-23 visit.

Had dinner with a customer last night. Restaurant was about 25% occupied. About halfway thru the meal a party showed up for the private room and our server disappeared for 45-50 minutes. By the time she returned, we just wanted to leave--20 mins later we got the check we had asked for. I think the server tried but feels like management understaffed the evening. Food was excellent, but I will not likely return with any customers -- too painful to be ignored for half the meal.

This is a very good steak house. I was surprised that it was only about 25% full. Pretty fancy for The Valley! Prices are not cheap, but the quality of the service and the impeccable dining area makes it worth it, as you feel like you re at a top-rated restaurant. The bartender and waiters are right on top of everything. They will make sure you don t miss anything. My guest and I ordered 18- oz ribeyes, which were both prepared perfectly. We also enjoyed the French onion soup and we shared a couple of sides; Hash Browns and Sautéed Mushrooms. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean, which is always a great indicator to me of what the kitchen might look like!

My sister and brother in law took Me to Larsens as I was visiting from Florida. We ordered our food and 2 salads came to the table but we had ordered 3. My entree was delivered one minute after my salad. By the time I finished my salad the entree was cold. My brother in law received his entree when mine was delivered but never received his salad. My sister never received her entree at all until we asked for a manager. The waitress I think her name was Eden never checked on us I tried getting her attention she acknowledged that she saw me but never came over. My brother in laws salad was delivered after he finished his entree but without dressing. The dressing never arrived and he sent the salad back. My sister once we had finished our food finally received her entree. My sister was brought a complimentary glass of wine. The waitress never returned except to give us the check. When we asked her why we never were acknowledged she just smirked. She then proceeded to complain about us to another table of her customers. I have to admit that the food was good once it was delivered but what was supposed to be a lovely evening out was ruined by the service or lack of it. I doubt that I would be a patron in the future due to this unfortunate experience. It is a shame that an establishment that actually serves good food would allow this to happen.

I took my best friend and his girlfriend here to celebrate his birthday when he came into town. I made reservations off OpenTable and our overall dining experience was amazing. We arrived early but they were still able to sit us. Our waiter was Brandon and he was very helpful along with being attentive with us. He give great recommendations and explain the difference between wet aged steak versus dry aged steak. I went with the bone in Filet Mignon dry aged since Brandon said its the top choice. My best friend pick the dry aged Filet Mignon and you can tell the difference if you went with the bone in. My wife and his girlfriend picked the Miso Sea Bass and they totally loved their dish. For our side, we picked the grilled asparagus and mushroom which they loved. The atmosphere inside the restaurant will make you feel like youre in a high end place. Its very nice inside and they also have someone playing the piano too. When we were eating our food, the GM of the restrauant and the owner made an effort to check in on us to thank us for dining there. It makes you feel special and that they care about your dining experience. My friend also ordered their Larsen Tiki Rita drink and my wife got the Strawberry Field. She said it was a little strong but after the ice dilute the drink, it was much better. My friend loved the Tiki Rita drink, he said it wasnt too strong and was perfectly mixed. My score: Food: 5 star, all of our dishes was delicious. The dry age Filet Mignon was amazing and my wife loved her Miso Sea Bass. Service: 5 star, the service here is top notch. Everyone treated us great and made our dining experience even better with the service. Parking: 5 star, you get like 90 minutes free on the weekend at the parking structure. They dont validate at the restaurant anymore so be aware of that. Atmosphere: 5 star, the interior decoration of the restrauant is amazing and depending where you seat can make your dining experience even better. Vegetarian options: They have salad here but its a steak place so youll get your money worth here by getting steak. Dietary restrictions: The restrauant is pretty accommodating so just tell them about your dietary restrictions. Parking: There a parking garage that you can park in. I believe the first 90 minutes are free. The restrauant doesnt validate so keep that in mind. Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly, its a high end restrauant but there someone whos playing piano so they can enjoy that. Wheelchair accessibility: This place has an elevator that can take you to the 2nd level

They are way overpriced, cant say that enough, falling into the same category as Mortons, Joeys, Il Fornaio, etc. You guys gotta lower your prices. Alcohol... oh f%&, WAY OVERPRICED: 1. $12 for a Well Version (so NOT top shelf) of a gin OR vodka cocktail. 1oz of alcohol, 90% of the glass is water + sugar, with a slight spritz of juice. It looks prettie, BUT expensive. Ladies, if you want to look good in your selfies, definitely get one of these. But dont expect to get any alcohol in the drink worth noting. 2. $14.50 for a Bombay Gin and tonic. 1 oz of alcohol and a ton of ice. Seriously... anywhere else the are $6-8. Fine dining? I guess. I couldnt tell you because all we got was: 1. $10 Truffle Fries.. whooptie doo for $10, I didnt taste any truffle. At least they give you a basket of fries. 2. $8 Caprese salad, I was literally expecting a bowl full of salad. Instead I got two slices of tomato, with a slice of mozzarella on top, drizzled in balsamic vinegar. $8? For two freaking slices of tomato? 3. $16 for 3 Filet Mignon sliders? Here we go again, like Joeys (way overpriced too, in the Village as well). There was nothing in these 3 half dollar sized sliders (1/4 thick) that was anything special. Actually, they were rare, bloody rare. No distinguishable flavor, nothing that makes me say, oh my God that was a filet mignon slider. The bun is 4 times the size of the burger. And who knows what percentage of actual filet mignon goes into the burger, versus cheap 70/30 regular beef. Is there a standard? Are they being tested for this by the health department? 4. $13 for 3 beef sliders with cheese. See number 3 above. Theyre charging you $3 less for pretty much the same thing as the above. Honestly, Id rather spend $6 at In-N-Out, and get myself a double-double. At least it has way more flavor at in and out, AND 3 TIMES the beef! To the management of this chain, you really have to lower your prices, especially on the happy hour menu. The whole point of going to a happy hour is the discounted prices, value for the money, Etc. Even the uninformed rich people like to save money. Think of them! Im not rich, thats for sure. But my opinion of your place is genuine. Who cares about my opinion anyway? Either lower your prices, or offer more food for the happy hour food items. Maybe you could have some kind of huge appetizer platter or something. If you charged $16 for it, that wouldnt be bad.. a deal! But if you charged $30 for it, I would seriously laugh. Loss-leader? Ever hear of it? Get people in your door for the low price drink specials, $5 martinis, and LOWER food pricing during happy hour. If they decide to stay for dinner, then you can charge $52 for a steak, which is probably what you charge anyways. LOL. By comparison, 100 feet away at Lucilles happy hour, a Pinacolada is $6 with 2oz of Rum in it. THAT is a Happy Hour Deal! I wont be back here to Larsens. Sorry, not sorry.

We eat out, a LOT. We travel & love fine dining. In LA for a few days and after some research decided on Larsens for a Friday night pre-Valentines dinner. What a supreme disappontment. The Prime Filet was almost inedible & the service was terrible. And I do mean terrible...after our meal our server just brought her little hand held check out...did not even ASK if we would like coffee or dessert. The meal ended so abruptly we were shocked. It was so weird my husband even turned to me and asked would you like to see the dessert menu? In front of the server to make a point to which she then commented that we were right she hadnt even asked...but at that point I decided just to cut our losses and declined. We spent over $300 for dinner...#neveragain Quite the contrast to an absolutely amazing dinner the night prior at Joey for half the price!!

Never been a fan of steak houses but I am a big fan of this particular Larsons and it all begins when you walk in the door. The General Manager Derek, is perhaps one of the best Ive encountered in my life and career. I have been a chef for thirty years and have worked with the likes of Wolfgang Puck Mark Peel, and Nancy Silverton. As well as some of the best front end staff you have ever seen. Derek makes sure that the second you foot enters the door that you are going to be taken care of and feel like he really cares as well. He is not just some robot Manger that goes to everyones table and reads from his corporate script, but someone who genuinely wants to make sure you are enjoying yourself. His influence trickles down to his staff who carry his attitude and dedication for perfection to a tee. The food is very good, everything you can expect to find in a good steak house its all good quality and well executed. Excelent bar and bar tenders as well and a wonderful patio with fire pits and comfortable seats are always a nice alternative to the potential stuffiness of the main dining room even though it really isnt. Ive only ever been to one other Larsons and it was the one in Encino when Derek was working behind the bar Befor this Larsons was open thats where I was first impressed with him and his expertise. Whomever is responsible for hiring Derek and putting him in the position he now has knew what he was doing because it wouldnt be the same without him and thank you whoever you are!

First time here, its kinda pricy actually yet isnt a huge franchised & says family owed operated. I expected my steak bigger for 20oz yet it was cook to ordered and yummy. The Place is great actually and great bar with good whiskey. They even gave me a birthday desert as well free of charge. They were very nice ppl here, even had a piano player. Outside balcony sitting a bar lounge and a separate lounge dinning area.

We made the unfortunate decision to celebrate the New Year at this establishment. Because most places were booked until late, we didn t get a reservation until 10:30 at night. Usually we wouldn t eat out that late, but, hey, it s New Years Eve so it was fine and expected restaurants to be open late. When we were seated (we were on time), we were quickly told that the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes, so we had to hurry and put in our order. First of all, why even have reservations listed as a time slot 10 minutes before your kitchen closes?? We weren t even the latest reservation slot as there were options for even later in the evening on the reservation site. This was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of our time. There were no disclaimers or warnings of this before we made the reservation. When we tried ordering our food, the kitchen was apparently out of many options on the menu. Because of the time crunch imposed on us, it made choosing what to eat an anxious moment instead of one of anticipation. The server didn t even have time to take our drink orders as she had to run to the soon-to-close kitchen to put in our orders. When the food came out, the server who brought our food placed one of the orders incorrectly. When we told him one of the guests didn t order steak he became weirdly frustrated and said did you guys switch seats?! No, we didn t. He didn t believe us when he said my grandmother didn t order steak and then basically tossed the plate to right guest. I get that maybe the plate was hot, but don t throw the plate or at least explain why you threw it. It s just rude. Oh, and they gave us sides we didn t ask for (we had to pay for them anyways). I ordered the NY Strip at medium rare plus, but I was served a temperature not even close to it. It was straight rare and the server agreed and took it back. The food just wasn t very good, especially if we are dropping $50+ for each entree. My meat had very little flavor and didn t taste like a quality piece of meat, and no one in my party was satisfied with anything outside of our appetizers. When you have great options around you like Fleming s, Morton s, and Ruth s Chris , why bother coming here? Overall, a pretty horrible experience caused by mismanagement, poor food, and rude wait staff. The only good thing was our waitress who understood our frustrations. Will not be coming back.

Pretty dead. I was invited here to celebrate my birthday. I m plant based, so there wasn t much for me of course, but I had a salad & happy hour wine. There was absolutely no one there, but it was nicer that way. I just worry idk how they stay in business. Our fire pit wasn t working & after the sun had set & we were freezing to death, we had to move tables because they KNEW our pit didn t work, yet they never offered or mentioned anything. Weird customer service, but ok. Had a butter cake dessert with a candle. It was nice, but not my favorite. I was so sick the next day. I couldn t eat for 2 days. I assume food poisoning, because two glasses of wine could never wipe me out like that, but wow, idk I ll be coming back. Pros: it s not crowded, happy hour deals are longer than anywhere else. Cons: you may get cold, food poisoning or turned wine. You can hear children screaming if you re on the balcony.

I was told about this AMAZING restaurant from my sister who had the pleasure of dining here months ago. Since then Larsens has remained at the top of my to-try list and Im a little mad that I waited so long. WOW. Okay, I honestly dont know where to start but I must first give the best waitress Ive ever encountered and I eat a lot! Lisa is heaven sent every time I come. I appreciate her suggestions and honest feedback on the items on the meal. Its my goal to try something new every time and thus far, every thing I pick is great! My faves so far is the short rib and ribeye. The chef masters the medium-well temp that I LOVE. I enjoyed a couple of blueberry lemon drops as well. I am grateful that this restaurant is in my neighborhood. Its becoming a weekly staple of mine. I also was grateful that the manager came and shook me and my guests hands. He was the nicest manager Ive ever spoken too and congratulated me on my new job with an amazing butter cake and cocktail. I love Larsens so much. If you havent visited, make that happen ASAP!! What a fantastic experience. Girls night out. We wanted to have the steakhouse experience but none of us eat red meat. Let me tell you we picked the right spot!! The options were endless for us non red meat eaters. That being said we watched steaks go by and they looked delicious. Smelled even better. Meat eaters beware, Im sure youll love the selection of steaks. What a wonderful menu! We indulged in the lobster bisque which was delicious. Ahi Tar Tar was to die for. Fish was unbelievably fresh. I had the Miso Seabass and it was cooked perfectly flavors melted together in pure bliss!! My bestie had the salmon and she was in heaven. Our server Lisa was amazing. Every person who came to our table was happy and very helpful. I also had the opportunity to speak to the GM on my way out, I couldnt rave enough about his restaurant. He was so sweet and really appreciated our kind words. I can not wait to come back again!!

I took my in-laws to enjoy a great dinner. I was so disappointed with the service. Three of four dinner trays came out and had my mother-in-law waiting for her order. To top it off, I ordered a medium rare steak and received a medium well steak. I was so disappointed. The manager walked over to our table and asked if everything was okay. I explained my experience and informed her of my steak (dry & overcooked). She looked and agreed the steak was over cooked. At the end of it all, I was charged full price and offered a free dessert. Keep your dam dessert. This place is not bang for buck. I should have just went to McDonalds located next door. Learn from my experience everyone!

Due to Covid we had to plan a much smaller wedding then our original idea. About 25 people to be exact. So we went on a search for a small and classy venue. After some lack luster responses from other restaurants we hit the jackpot with Jaime and Derek (Managers) of Larsens in Woodland Hills. It all started with Jaime providing a in person viewing of their small private room. Then a number of weeks of attentive service in coordinating with our vendors, picking wines, setting times, dealing with parking plans, and creating our pre-set dinner menu. The centerpieces presented in the pictures were set up by us, not provided by the restaurant. Their service went above and beyond what I expected and really helped make our reception special. I could not recommend them more. During our reception our guests were all impressed with the food, styling, set up, and attentiveness of the staff. In fact a number said their Ribeyes were the best they had ever eaten. We never had to want to have our wines refilled, or needed to send anything back. The entire evening ended up magical and perfect. All thanks to Jaime and Derek (managers), the wait staff, and the kitchen staff. Even one of our vendors said they would become a regular at the steakhouse. We will certainly be back for a date night soon!

My wife and I had just had an amazing dining experience this last weekend at Larsens Woodland Hills. We came back to experience the restaurant for a second time and were just blown away by the level of service and qualify of the food. Both of the mangers Jamie and Derrick were there and made sure we truly had one of the best times eating out that we can remember. Karen was our waitress and made sure that we were taken care of through out the evening and that everything was perfect. All of our food came out hot and was cooked to perfection. We cannot wait to go back again! Highly recommended for a date night, business, or family dinner!
