BJ's Wholesale Club

Upon approaching the front desk to inquire about purchasing an oversized TV, the attendant not only instructed me to retrieve it myself but also failed to consider the inclement weather, as it was raining. When I requested a plastic cover or tarp to protect the TV while loading it into my truck, the response was exceedingly unhelpful and discourteous. As a result, I am reconsidering my decision to purchase the TV from this establishment. Having been a member for several years, I am now inclined to forgo renewing my membership and instead take my business to Costco, where customer service is evidently prioritized.

BJ's has a very wide variety of items at great AFFORDABLE prices. From necessities for baby to fresh fruits & vegetables, batteries & computers to health & beauty items, BJ's has everything you need... not to mention, tons of things you want 😉 The only problem I have is EVERYTHING is in bulk, making going to another store unavoidable.

The parking lot was PITCH black today. Not 1 street light turned on outside. Almost got ran over by someone backing up of their parking space because they couldn’t see anything. Told the manager there and she said “ok 😐”, didn’t even bother explaining why it was pitch black outside. Anyways they had some good black friday delas i guess

The store is easy to get to as it’s close to I-91 and is on a road with several other stores, restaurants etc. There’s plenty of parking available. I’ve always found the store to be well stocked. The aisles are marked well making it easy to find what you’re looking for. The store is clean and the staff is helpful. Besides the large variety of items that are available in the store there are gas pumps, with really good prices, as well as a tire center. You can buy tires and have them installed.

Week before Christmas I compiled a trip to BJ's along with a couple other stops Along Universal drive I'd Joined Bj's (again) a in 2021 and being not so Mobile I bought some items and before I got back to Any of the 3 stores "near me" my card ran out and I've been getting a rejoin discount for a bit nowI figured I better move, get er done so I stopped in and renewed my card I began to walk around getting aquainted with the North Haven location picked up a couple items But My legs gave out and I needed to get out so I didn't get very far in my shopping ... oh well One of these days I'll get back to store some canned veggies and stuff

Absolutely appalled by this store, specifically the deli! When we arrived, we waited 10-12 minutes before we were acknowledged (barely, no hello or how can I help?... we just got the stare down). When I asked for a pound of sliced mozzarella, the woman (?) looked and looked as if I ordered something foreign. Finally, she (?) picks up a chunk of cheese and sniffs it! The worst part, she touched her nose to it! We walked away. And of course, no manager was available 😒

Terrible customer service bought a mini fridge it was defective was told I didn’t need box to exchange. Get their I need a box told them I want to exchange it was told to get the new one get it get up to desk now I can’t exchange it because I did curbside pick up it’s off sale I have to pay more. Never coming back here again

Over all I like BJs but their tire center really frustrate me. Too inconsistent. I booked a 5:30 p.m. appointment and didn’t get seen until almost 7. Then today I show up at just about 9. The tire hours start at 9. My self and 2 others are waiting. Call member services she said just wait to about 9:30 it generally takes them about 1/2 hour to get punched in and make it over there. So shouldn’t that make the hours 9:30. Very poor service.

We visited the AT&T kiosk to discuss phone plan options. Jason was the associate we worked with. He informed us on how changing our plan to AT&T would save us money each month. We ended up switching to AT&T as we were very pleased with our experience with Jason. We definitely recommend anyone interested in seeing how it may be possible to sign up to save money like we did. A big thanks to Jason for all his efforts in working with us.

Worst customer service. They tricked to get their credit card and they aitomatically renewed membership. The stupid lady put wrong address... they renewed my membership automatic for two year and f** up my credit... and, on the top refused to refund membership fee... Avoid BJs. Go to Costco. They are SCAM.

Wow they need help here. Should not take 30 min to get slices of deli meat and cheese. Cooked chicken is always empty. I have never seen such unhappy employees in a business, I feel so bad for them. They say they are looking for help; but when people apply for a job they do not call them back. I can not wait till Costco or Sams Club comes in the area. I should take photos of the sad faces here.

It's a BJ's, like all the other BJ's. It's rarely very busy here and only once have I had to wait more than a few minutes to check out. The staff is friendly and occasionally helpful. If you're a bulk buyer, it's a great place for stuff and cheap(er) fuel.

First off, why would you question were a person is in the store. I am not your child. Secondly your customer service skills need much work. Three, she is very rude and not very helpful.

Super long lines. The bottle return machine's never work and the gas price down the street is lower than Bjs member price. Watch the checkout they double scan items in the cart.

I have been a member for more than 10 years now. Their quality and pricing on cold cuts alone cannot be beat by your local market. Most of the shelf stable bulk products, beat local pricing too. The best deal I found are the French's Fried Onion rings. They are a seasonal item, so stock up with several bags. They're huge. I get the Saltines, Ritz and Triscuit crackers. Great to have on hand for soups, peanut butter crackers, and cheese. I can so on about the service and pricing, but you really need to go and experience for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I didn't start on the meat's, frozen foods, or fresh produce.

Fix the potholes in the parking lot every time I go shopping I hit a pothole and no it's not because I don't look it's because there are cars pulled up to the front to load their groceries so I have no choice but to go right into the pot hole Food has fallen out of my cart due to this. Unfortunately I don't have someone to come with me to pull up my car to the front like everyone else. 😒

I mean I don't have any reason to sign up as im single, but I do like to get adult diapers here and soda. I've also gotten a nice chick pea salad! It was really good! The place big, as expected, but well marked with signage. So not too hard finding what you need and leaving with swollen feet. Speaking of swollen feet, they have early hours for elderly due to covid. Usually a bit crowded at lunch hour, which is only time I get opportunity to go actually. Staff is nice and helpful.

Worst store and customer service ever. So there are no flat top carts (I checked all of the bay areas), I went to customer service to inquire about it and they said they couldn't help me. I saw some flat top carts in the front that had returned items on them, so I requested that cart and I even ensured that I would return it, they refused without any reasoning.... UNBELIEVABLE! Will not be back!

Really, I would give 0 starts for their bakery. I put in a cake order 3 weeks before I needed it on 11/15/19. The girl Morgan, took my order for my son's birthday cake. I didn't have any issues writing in the order myself but, thought it was nice that she offered. I said I wanted the Spiderman photo cake #45299 (top one) EXACTLY as it looked in the picture. I did not want to put a personal photo, I just want exactly what I'm looking at. I got a cake totally different. Looks like my son made it himself. Even if they were trying to make the other cake, the colors are totally off. Also, I ordered the 1/2 sheet golden cake, strawberry mousse filling. Got golden cake, whipped cream filling, the cake tasted like fruit loops. The Spiderman toy is not as big as it appears in the book, it's about half the size of the center decoration on cake I received. The manager William, was eyes wide open when I showed him, he was nice enough to give me a $10 discount.

Store has really taken a nosedive the past 2 years. Not sure what the problem is. I commonly spend $400 every 2 weeks. (Family of 4). The produce quality has been downright trash, rotting food in store, getting home, cutting open fruits and vegetables that are spoiled, etc. Seems like major quality control issues and/or transit refrigeration problems. Coupon items are reputedly sold out. Deli counter moves at the speed of a sun-dial. Visible cut backs to the staff are seen by the anemic amount of registers open. For now, I'll be moving my business to the Wallingford store until something changes. Next stop is making the trip to Costco 15 minutes away. Do better North Haven Bj's.

I had the worst customer service experience at the North Haven BJs today. I had a 9:30 appointment for tire replacement. Prepaid online. When I arrived I found out that my appointment was overbooked and that I’d have to wait an additional hour and a half, just to start work. The technician didn’t apologize and told me to call the “home office” if I didn’t like it. I found out that the appointment that bumped mine was for the mother of an employee, so basically an employee screwed me because they wanted the time slot. The technician was extremely rude and gave absolutely no apology. After he shoved a clipboard in my face and said “give me your keys” I decided enough of this. I canceled my order and my membership. My recommendation is to never use this place.

This review is for the Tire Center at BJ's. The manager and his team there are not friendly at all. They are somewhat lazy. We bought tires there to get the perk of free tire balance and rotation. Every time to we brought our car there for balance and rotation, we got attitude from them. The last service make the car shaking nonstop at slower speed. Brought the car back to check. The guy didn't even bother. He brought the car in, walk around it, then drove it out. He said it's the car problem. Well, it's not the car problem because we brought it to the Wallingford Branch and the guy was able to fix it. Made a compliant to the manager a few weeks ago and he never response back.

Some people may find this store as a discount place maybe if they have big families and when they buy these oversized packages or maybe one extra pack possibly two I personally find it I can get better discounts at my local grocery store and don't have to buy in bulk that's just my personal opinion.... The other hand they do have a big variety of many things got a grocery store doesn't happen so it depends on what you're looking for. God bless everyone and have a great day.

Terrible online order and pickup - when ordering online for in-club pickup, they do not inform you at the time of placing the order that you will only have 3 business days to pick up the order. Second, an email is not sent timely at the TIME OF PLACING THE ORDER if the store is not open. Third, the 3 business days apparently includes weekends, which is not specified in the pickup instructions. The instructions for online ordering need to be more explicit. I arrived on the morning of the 3rd day, only to find out I missed the order by 30 minutes and it was cancelled. So i wasted gas and time driving there for no reason, when clearer info in their email would have prevented problems and had a happy customer.
Furthermore, the store staff made NO effort to correct the situation, nor did customer service when I called the 800-number for customer service. Poor customer service with online orders. Poor customer service resolution of a problem.

Bjs is a good place to get your poultry, some red meat & sometimes salmon. I find that I can find my family's favorite cereal a lttle less expensive at other locations, but the gas is always worth it
