This is my new favorite BBQ restaurant - I ordered the pulled pork platter with fries and beans. It was so good, I ordered the chili and cornbread to go - all excellent choices. And while the sauces are good, the meat doesn't need them, so flavorful on its own!

I had the loaded baked potato with pulled pork, it was so good. It was so big, I couldn't even eat half of it. Everyone there was so friendly. This was a great experience, we'll definitely be back.

Underwhelmed a bit. The brisket was full of fat and very little meat. I was so excited about the bacon Brussel sprouts but they were bland with not a single piece of bacon. The best thing was the chili. I’d come back for the chili.

My husband and I tried this for the first time last night. The staff was kind and prices reasonable. In our opinion, the food was mid. The meat didn't seem to be smoked, but it was still good. Baked beans were seasoned up Pork and Beans. The sweet tea was SWEEEEET, which we loved!

Only 2 other customers on a Saturday night so i was a little leary. Chicken was a lil dry but ok , but the ribs and beans had a funny taste. I don't know how to explain it. The side of fries were burned no big deal they got cooked too long. My biggest problem was the cornbread muffins. They were almost mush from having so much butter or oil on them and inside them straight to the trash they went. I even tried to wring them out . Didn't help. The meat should have been as juicy as the cornbread was. Sorry won't go back.

Loved the fries, really disliked the baked beans and Cole slaw. No baby backs on the menu. Pulled pork was very good but I prefer my pulled pork premixed with sauce. Really would rather have condiments on table than ketchup and salt packets. Doorbell is annoying. Yay Pepsi products!

So we drove 50 minutes to try this bbq based of a friend stating is was the best. It was very mushy and wet, we got the sampler plate so we could try a few things. Mac cheese was gritty, all the meat was wet and mushy like it's been sitting in a pan of liquid for hours, it was around 1pm when we went. When the hostess asked us how we like the food, I simply told them it was very mushy. Seem like it'd been sitting in a pan for hours and then when the cook came out and asked me about it, she told me that was because it was the fat rendering down and we should have asked for leaner cuts of meat. It's pretty evident this meat sits in a pan for hours before it's served. It's definitely not cut off fresh as far as the brisket, the ribs were the same and the pulled pork was a bit dryer. The wings were not to bad. Lunchtime on a Sunday and hardly anyone in the place. I thought my food would have been so fresh but it was not. I'm sorry but not a worthy bbq place for me.

Highly recommended, so we had to give it a try. We love this place. The people that worked there are great and helpful. "G" is amazing. She took great care of us while we were there. They also offered extra sides to try since it was our 1st time there. We tried almost everything lol. The chili is amazing. The cornbread is a must have. Ribs..meat falls off the bone. Wings are nice and crispy. They taste great with the alabama sauce. Brisket falls apart like nothing. I apologize for not having pictures of the bbq at the table. Everything is absolutely AMAZING. The BEST BBQ I’ve ever had!! If you’ve never been and are thinking about trying, DO IT! You will be so glad you did! The meat is so soft and tender, you literally don’t need teeth to eat here! The flavor and seasoning is out of this world!! The sauce is phenomenal- but definitely not NEEDED because of the flavor of the meat alone. Delicious food! And the SWEETEST staff. Extremely clean and cozy restaurant.

I got the sampler platter and it was ok at best. Everything seemed like it was cooked the day before. And the rolls were just plain rolls that you get at any grocery store.

I had eaten at the food truck a year or so ago and it was great. I wanted to love it, and I'm going to swing by again and see if this was a fluke.

awesome. I'm a longtime BBQ expert and this place is tops. I got the sampler to try it all and no way most people could finish that. All the meats are very good. Wings, Ribs, Brisket in particular excellent. I'm not a fan of sausage but even this was quite nice. My number one rating tool is the BBQ beans and these are excellent and much tastier than most places. This will definitely be my goto BBQ now.

Went here today to meet up with family and have a nice lunch. It was my first time and I had read all the reviews before so I will start by saying all the 5 stars you see here are real. We tried a little bit of everything and can first and foremost say this has to be the best ribs I've ever had. Yes they were fall off the bone but more then that the flavor of the rub and spices with that smoker taste really came through. Now the brisket was nice and on par with some of the top places I've had before along with the wings. Their motto is "no sauce needed" and I can easily agree with that statement. The sides were nice like the fries and brussel sprouts as is, but for a stand out I'd give notice to the corn muffins. Very moist with a flavor punch on their own. They aren't hot but being flavored already they don't really need to be. If I had to nitpick and I'm hard pressed to I'd ask for the option of garlic bread in the future along with blue cheese for the wings. I look forward to returning again soon and can easily recommend this place as a must try on my list.

I was visiting in the Orland/Apoka area and stopped by Papa Diesel's Restaurant. Papa Diesel's BBQ has the best ribs I have tasted in a while. They were so tender they fell off the bone. And the Brussels were amazing. Atmosphere was great and relaxing. The owner was so friendly he made me fill as though I was eating at home. I will certainly visit again and tell all my friends.

Came to Apopka for a visit and wanted BBQ. Beyond satisfied with our dinner! I had the Diesel Fries with brisket, my hubby had the ribs and brisket. He upgraded for the 2 sides and a drink for $7. The baked beans have a unique flavor that is AMAZING. The ribs were fall off the bone clean! Their kitchen staff knows exactly what they are doing, and do it WELL! There was hardly any wait time. Papa Diesel's was a top rung experience! These are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Papa Diesel himself even came out to talk barbecue with us and take a photo. As for the food...KILLER! Today, September 14th , was our 1st visit. Oh my what a great operation. The staff was so welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. I ordered take out for my family. One chicken sandwich, one pork sandwich with sides of fries, baked beans and cole slaw. The buns were cheap and flimsy on both sandwiches. The chopped chicken was cold and dry... possibly overcooked. The beans were ok but the portion for $4 was insulting. The cole slaw unfortunately was inedible. What a waste. The taste was terrible and so it didn't matter that the portion for the money was also unacceptable. The fries were good and for the same $4 the correct portion was provided.
Was hoping to love this place but after spending over $30, I was not impressed and my kid is still hungry. We will not return.

I thought ok I will take them because we all have order Ribs and they were dry let me tell you the meat 🍖 pulled right off the bone no problem juice and very nice smoke to them and best of all not over salty all so they did not need sauce they were that Dam good

First time visiting and will be back! Had the sampler and added the best tasting Brussels Ive ever had. The wings were my personal favorite but seriously it was all so good! The ribs fell right off the bone. Fantastic service. Every single employee was kind and attentive. Great atmosphere. Locally owned!

If you are eating low carb/high protein, come see Papa Diesel! My husband had a pound of chopped chicken with no sides. Most flavorful meat ever... smoky...and all the sauces are excellent. I had a half pound of chopped chicken plus a crisp, fresh, not sweet, slaw. We also tried the smoked and flash fried wings. Also fabulous. Kyleigh led us through the menu for our dietary concerns, and she helped us make delicious choices. Will be back, frequently! If you have carbs to spare, they have sweet rolls, baked beans, fries, baked potatoes, brussel sprouts, and desserts as well.

Cute little place. Great vibes. Delicious food. The barbecue sauces are amazing, but the pulled pork doesn't need any of it. It's already moist and flavorful. The service was so friendly, it felt like home cooking. We'll finally found a go-to bbq near home. Bless this place!

Ribs are tender, fall off the bone, melt in your mouth good. Delicious sauces and sides, too. Brussels sprouts and smoked gouda Mac and cheese were perfect. Comfortable dining area with lots of window booths and tables. Easy listening country music makes for pleasant atmosphere. Service was helpful and welcoming. Glad I found this place and will definitely be back to try the brisket.

I’m writing this as I’m still sitting in the restaurant, because it’s been THAT great of an experience. This is my second time here, and I’ve lost count of how many warm welcomes and encounters I’ve have with the staff. That speaks volumes on its own. To add, the food truly is amazing! A friend said the ribs fell off the bone and they did just that. Great food, a staff that makes it a priority to check on you from the time you walk in until you leave. I truly love it here!

OMG they have catered our Back to School lunch for the last 2 years and it’s the BEST! The main courses are fall-off-the-bone mouth watering, and the Mac and Cheese should have songs written about it. Even the fresh garden salad was delicious.
