Wanted to formally give a shout out to Joe Norton. I came in and bought a chainsaw and the guy went above and beyond listening to what I planned on using it for and advising me on what I needed. He didn't push for anything extra or more than my needs were. The guy was outstanding.

Small town atmosphere with big time capabilities. I drive 45 minutes to get my Cub Rider serviced here. The process is effortless, the work is extraordinary and the price is reasonable. Andrew in service is professional, patient and very friendly.
The entire store is laid out well. Repair, lawn equipment and then the hardware side. They have beekeepers supplies, seed and anything you may need for your project.
Easy access from the local roads and I20.
Small town atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

Bought a chainsaw bar from this location. When I got home, put it on the saw and it was bent. Went back to the parts department and was DENEID both a refund and/or exchange of the defective part. The exact words of the fellow behind the counter was "you should have checked to make sure this new part wasn't bent before you left the store."

Update: The very polite and professional parts and service manager, Stan, reached out to me over the issue, and has agreed that it is necessary for a replacement bar to be mailed to me at my home town 2 hours away.

Although I had a foul experience with one employee here, management saw to it that I was treated fairly in the end, do I redact my initial rating. Would be five starts if it hadn't been for the confusion and negligence of the staff member who troubled me.

This store is clean, well stocked, and the customer service is beyond any other hardware store I've visited in Douglasville. I'll no longer be taking my business to Home Depot. Every associate I came across asked me if I needed help looking for anything, or had any questions.

I gave this store 5 stars based solely on service. I went there yesterday (Thursday, November 7th, 2024) to get a key cut from an impression key I made but they were not able to cut the key. However, the two employees I encountered were beyond helpful and super kind and respectful. The young lady at checkout initially offered to help but realized that she was unable to provide assistance based on the type of key (vehicle) I wanted made. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but she worked the morning shift, was super professional and friendly (even paid me 2 compliments). The kind gentleman at the Key/Paint counter couldn’t cut the key but offered to help me find a place where he thought in Lithia Springs who might be able to help. This gentleman even went as far as pulling up the location on google and showed me the exact store so I didn’t get lost or end up in the wrong place. I have to say, that when I first entered this establishment, I did not expect that type of service but it was exceptionally nice to feel welcomed and treated with respect. I will definitely return to this store in the future should I have any hardware needs. I also encourage others to visit this store as well if you are looking for hardware needs and beyond. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with the service. Great job Douglasville Ace Hardware. I hope you are taking great care of your employees because they are the kind of people you want managing your establishment.

Went to pickup a piece of equipment that was dropped off by my husband for service, when I got there, found the service dept. Had a sign for drop-off, but nothing to direct you to pickup. So I went into drop off and found out I had to go to parts to pickup my saw, excuse??? Where was the sign for that???? When asked about putting up signage to help direct folks, not one employee seemed to care!!!! Seriously not one!!!! And being handicapped I don't enjoy walking all over the place and wasting steps when your back is so bad off that even my Dr. Does not recommend walking long distance, SO THANKS ACE, for not putting up signage to help a person out

This store is clean, well stocked, and the customer service is beyond any other hardware store I've visited in Douglasville. I'll no longer be taking my business to Home Depot. Every associate I came across asked me if I needed help looking for anything, or had any questions.

One of the worst places to get tools fixed or buy and heavy equipment. Most of what they sell comes broken and when you take it back they tell you that it can't be returned if it was used. But they still sell newly used equipment and say it was only ran for 5 minutes but you can't return any equipment once it's used? So either you know someone that works there and can bend the rules for you or you don't.

Everything is being moved around since there are renovations going on. It was hard to find what I wanted. However, the staff is very helpful, courteous, and attentive. When I asked where items were, they directed me to them or helped me find them. They cut some plexiglass for me to precision. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I am grateful for that. They have a lot of items on sale less expensive than expected as well.

Always a perfect experience. Josie and another young lady immediately stopped what they were doing to go above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I came in looking for a particular flashlight battery ( cr123 ) for a valuable light I have had for years now. They looked up what type was the correct battery for the light then fully installed the battery, tested the light and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way during my shopping experience. The cashier whom was working continued the perfect customer service experience, once the young lady and Josie handed me off to finish my transaction. Thank you Ace hardware of douglasville for having what I need, when I need it and having amazing staff members who represent your company in the highest standards and understand customer satisfaction and service.

Like always, staff is friendly, helpful and they treat you with respect. Went in with my daughter for air filters and ended up getting a spare key for our honda with more than 50% off the dealership fee. I Highly recommend this location.

Great place to go. Needed an new hot water stem for our shower . The man sid he could repair the one that leaked an he did it cost 3 dollers instead of 20 an up for new ones. He was great . Thank you sir for fixing a huge problem for very little money.

I brought in two fairly new white propane tanks. One 40 lb and one 30 lb tank. Another person brought their 30 lb tank in after me. When they brought the filled tanks out I saw my fairly new white 30 lb tank being given to the person who came after me. They gave me a tan, scratched up 30 lb tank with a Sidney Lee Welding tag on it. When I pointed out the other customer had my matching white tank, they just walked off and said "we don't mix up tanks"

For efficiently and needing product quickly I ordered and paid for it on this location's website. Received order confirmation and was instructed:
"Don’t go to your store just yet! We’ll send an email when it’s ready to be picked up..."
After waiting, I received msg "Hello , Your order is ready for pickup!"
Drove over to the location only to find that the order was not ready and had to WAIT for it to be prepared. This was a disappointment and somewhat frustrating. Thought I would let store manager know, that in a this process is not customer friendly, efficient and is an irritant. What I received back from the manager, from my perspective, boiled down to 'I do not not care' and the manager literally hang up on me while I was still speaking to him. No customer service care there. I would have been reprimanded if not fired if I hung up on a customer that called in to express a concern. This manager literally trashed Ace 's slogan "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man" If a manager behaves this way how can encourage great customer service to the employees. Even if you can not change the outcome, you never disconnect call in the customer's fact. Will NEVER use this location again.

Ace hardware probably been in Douglasville since the 1950s. I went to replace a water valve. What I found is like cars, every 10 years they stop making parts we need for our homes. Mom and Pop stores use to have everything you would ever need. Big Box stores have taken that away from all of us. Plumbers are just like lawyers. Ace has decided to join the Big Boxes. Good luck finding what you need in Douglasville.

I enjoy going to this Ace Hardware store. The people are friendly, it is well lit, clean, and organized. They have a lot crammed in a small space but it is very neat and organized. The prices are a little higher than the big box stores but this store always seems to have what I need and I never have trouble getting assistance if I have a question or need help finding something. I have wasted a lot of time wandering through big box stores looking for someone to help me. Many were on the phone or darted and dodged trying to avoid eye contact and risk being asked for help. So, this ACE Hardware store is my go-to place.

What a great experience at the Douglassville store! I am a person that uses a power wheelchair and I had a problem of not being able to open the lid of a gas grill to full open. Stan, Chris and the other folks in the BBQ shop helped by designing and fitting a motor to the grill lid. I now just push a switch and the lid raises and lowers as I need. I am over 54 years post my injury and these folks are great on how they used my input with their we can do this attitude that now allows me to take care of the grill and the rest of the family do their part. Independence and inclusion in life is a wonderful feeling. Thanks Ace

Excellent service. Took my cub cadet to another service center who kept the mower for 3 weeks and told me it was a battery failure, which turned out to be false, and that none were available in stock to replace. Then I took the mower to Ace and they properly diagnosed the issue of the mower not working and replaced the VCM board within a week. Danny the service manager knows his stuff. Would highly recommend Ace for warranty work as well as any other mower repairs.

I tried for three days to replace my riding lawnmower blades and put a the in a tie that had a leak. And they were fast, I thought. Less than two hours. But I arrived before Ace opened for business. Because they had told me the day before depending on how busy they were and I would have to wait on the mower. I beat the rush. I definitely recommend Ace Hardware in Douglasville, Ga.

Do not take any piece of equipment there to get service. They will not fix what’s wrong with it. Took my zero turn mower to fix a rough idle. I get there to pick it up and it still runs the same and the person tells me well I can clean the carburetors for $50 more after that’s what I took my mower in for for them to fix the rough idle it has. Just overall a horrible experience wouldn’t recommend taking any piece of equipment there to get service.

This is a locally owned store and they really appreciate your business. They have any product you might need, make keys, cut glass and plexiglass, and provide many other services. I would rather go here than Lowes or Home Depot any day.

Plus size young lady behind register refused to acknowledge me. I asked her how she was doing twice and she turned it back and started talking to somebody else. After cashing out I stood behind the counter and watched her interaction with the next customer. All of a sudden she got a personality and voice... I wonder why she didn't speak to me? Didn't even give me a total. I don't know how to approach the situation
