Franksville Chicago

My family was craving some Grecian chicken, so I decided to stop by Franksville since it's been a while. A nice gentleman behind the register took my order. Picked up 2 Grecian chicken dinners, one with rice and one with fries, and a double cheeseburger with everything on it. Ordered it to go, and once home, the food was still piping hot and ready to be devoured, so we all tore into it.

Apart from being visually appealing, the food was also very excellent. The chicken was well-seasoned and roasted to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone. The fries were thickly cut and ample, and the rice was perfectly cooked and had a bit of zest. The double cheese burger was incredible. Practically had to unhinge my jaw like an anaconda just to take bites out of it. Patties were perfectly cooked and juicy, and the onions and other garnish paired well with the rest of the burger. It was very filling and delicious. There was definitely enough food to feed a family of 3 or 1 highly voracious individual.

Overall, the food was excellent, the service was good, the dining area was clean with plenty of seats, and the kitchen appeared to be quite clean, as well. The cooks in the back were quick, efficient, and Johnny-on-the-spot cooking and assembling orders while the workers behind the register were sending them out just as fast as the cooks were dropping them off. Despite the prices being a bit high, I am still looking forward to my next visit here and eventually trying out their other menu items, as the quality is worth every penny. Thanks for the excellent food and service! Your effective teamwork definitely shows.

I paid $6 for this 3 piece "tenders." Arrived there and the drive thru only had one car, and lobby was closed at 9pm. Waited 15 minutes in total for the order ahead and mine. Witnessed 3 cars behind me leave during this wait.

I just want to share an experience before the Internet. I have no clue if this is a family owned business or a franchise. I grew up around the corner from the restaurant in the 70's until I was 8 I would walk there everyday and get cheese fries and pickle spears. I was what you would call a regular customer. I was there so much the owner then out of the kindness of his heart would always take care of my bill and send me home with some extra pickle spears. This was before people ever invented paying it forward. So I would like to truly say thank you and I will always pay it forward from all the kindness I learned in my childhood years. Best cheese fries ever wish I lived closer.

Came here during a quick lunch hour. Food was amazing and service was great.

Nice place that has a lot of food items. Hamburgers, sandwiches and dinners.

I opted for the chicken sliced on pita. I was delicious. Very juicy and tastefully seasoned. The pita really makes for a better sandwich :)

Place has plenty of seating with a relaxed atmosphere. The dining room was in order and clean.

Staff was friendly. I will come back and try the beef next time :)

I've eaten at a lot of the restaurants , eateries, fine dining, food trucks, and even hot dog carts around and in the city....2 summers ago I ate some of the best Tacos I've ever eaten in my life being made in the parking lot of a Auto Repair shop at 10pm with condiments on paper plates set out on a folding table. In Elgin I bought some of the absolute best Epinadas out of the trunk of a woman's car. I will try almost anything I've heard tell of... and let my pallet render the verdict. Franksville has been in business for 60yrs because they do it right, good hotdogs, all their chicken dishes are great , good burgers, good everything.... tamales with cheese sauce covered in raw onions a particular favorite of mine and the more daring foodie. They served me an absolutely beautiful grilled chicken breast s sandwich today that should have been photographed.... but I had to count my fingers when I was done devouring it to ensure I had not accidentally eaten one whilst destroying that sandwich. Everyone has their own favorites here and I recommend them to everyone so they can find out what they like best

I always drive by Franksville, last night I decided to try it. The place looks a little old from the outside. It has a nice size parking lot, and a drive through if you don’t want to get off your car. Inside looks newly remodeled. The restaurant was clean. The floors and tables were clean. The staff greeted me with a smile and were very friendly. The food was good. My burger was great, the presentation could use work. I haven’t had good onion rings in a while, they were great. The fries however were a little plain. My kids liked the chili dogs and the burgers. My wife had the Italian beef and she didn’t complain, she’s a picky eater. Overall my experience was great at Franksville.

Wow! I am really impressed! I just picked up a Greek salad (made with romaine lettuce)with gyros slices. What a beautiful salad! I seriously did not expect this. I will definitely be coming back!

60 years & still good as ever. Gyros r the best I've ever had. The fries cooked perfectly, crispy outside w/ soft inside. Oh yeah they hav Pibb Xtra. Use to b Mr. Pibb till he lost the company in the divorce, hee hee.

I’ve been going here for almost 30 years and this wiener slaps! I shove a foot long cheese dog down my throat whenever I get a chance to! Yum! The sign is my favorite and it brings back a lot of good memories

The hot dog bun with stale the hot dog was an original hot dog the hot tamale or flavorless and the onion rings were like rubber also the booth was so tight and I'm not that overweight very uncomfortable

hi, I love their drive-thru option as well as the friendly faces. My biggest complaint would have to be with their cheese fries. the cheese tasted very artificial and old. The chicken tenders were ok, not terrible, just not enjoyable 😐

Just moved into the area and decided to drop in and pick up lunch. Ordered the Ruben sandwich which ended up being $15+tax with no fries or drink. Was just average. Had better at half the price. Also got charged a service fee. Read reviews that says it’s for using a credit card. Why should this fee be passed on to the consumer? Who carries cash nowadays? FYI…. if you didn’t take credit cards you would lose more than half your customers. It’s for your benefit. At the prices you charge you should cover the $.86. Won’t be stopping here again. I know the fee is not much but it’s the principal.

Classic chicago eatery really. Great beef, good service and quick food. Inexpensive but better than mcdonalds or burger king so youll pay a dollar or two more.

Always get he gyro ans cheese fry. Gyros are alot smaller than they used to be. Cheese fries always hit. Overall very good food and has been fir thr past 30 years I have been going. And I'm a picky eater.

We live close to this place and were excited to try it for the first time, hoping we found a new go to spot. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Ordered a chicago dog, received a plain hot dog with nothing on it. Mozzarella sticks had no marinara sauce. Chicken pita was decent - best thing was the pizza puff.

Been coming here for 30+ years, service and food is always too notch. The corn dog is dipped in-house, the gyro is always juicy with sauce as thick as ice cream and the taco/super taco are always worth trying. Chez whiz in everything— they do it best. Keep up the good work!

Visit this place while I was in Chicago and the Food was excellent generous potions you must try the Italian beef sandwich was my first time but there was a group of us and we had different orders and we all agreed the food was delicious and big portions and clean and friendly and also both times visit they make sure they get your order right if you ever get a chance to get there go drive thru because the inside it stay crowd as well saurkaurt on your hot dog is extraordinary

I stop going there for 1 month,after I was totally ignored by drive thru,after waiting 10 min to order food,today I comback…and right away disappointed! I ordered Chicken on pita! The kid with the Mohawk hung up on me because he thought my name was a joke, and when I said he wasted my lunch time he said “cool.” He doesn’t care because he’s the “manager” and “everyone knows him.” I asked for the boss- and of course he isn’t there. Whoever the boss is, that kid needs the new-hire orientation again. His idea of a solution was to lie about the order of events as to make himself innocent. You’d think if he can’t follow simple Serv safe rules he could at least fake customer service.

I ordered a chicken pita with extra taziki sauce and received absolutely no sauce. Then as we pulled up to pay we got charged someone else’s meal & now have to wait for our refund to go back into the bank. Was super excited for our dinner & now just extremely upset.

Everytime we've come here, employees always greet us, very friendly. The fast food is excellent , always made fresh. The place is always very clean. A large variety of selections to choose from

I dont know what happened. Live down the street since 2001...been going there for years. Last experience was bad. Buns where stale. Service was rude. Special price wasnt applied. Very dissapointed. I really never leave reviews. I never do this....but i really felt this needed to be said. Hope the owners see this.

Can someone please tell me why I'm charged a service fee for my food. Whether it's dine in or takeout there is a service fee. Bought a gift card at Christmas, service fee. Did take out,service fee, dined in, service fee. Your food is already way over priced and now this.

Just great food. Period. Service is good and quick. Plenty of tables so always a place to sit and enjoy. Best Gyros in the area. It's not just the gyros, but arguably the best tzatziki.y wife always gets the made to order Greek salad. Never a bad meal. Oh and don't forget the fires with side of cheez! (Spelled correctly because it's Cheez whiz.)
