Classic old-school Chicago diner with delicious food and prompt, friendly service. I’d never heard of a “skillet” before, and it did not disappoint! I got the lamb gyro one, along with a side of fruit. Absolutely wonderful, and great, down-home atmosphere! Very happy customer here.

woke up this morning with the biggest hankering for B&G and this place made my dreams come true and more! cannot believe i have lived 3 mins away and have never stopped in. what a gem. never change pleaseeee. service is super attentive and lovely as well. will def be back to relax with my computer, the ambiance is super sweet and welcoming. reminds me of sweet spots back home in kansas yeehaw

What a cute spot! Smells great as soon as you walk in and it's got a comfortable and clean atmosphere. Kinda nostalgic, as my friend put it. The food was perfect diner food and our service was top notch. I can't wait to go in there in a cold day and have an entire bowl of that chili. I'm delighted I found this place and will certainly be back!

I’ve lived in Chicago for nearly 25 years and I can say without hesitation that this is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in this city. It smells stale, like grandma’s attic. Even the toast was bad. Our server was nice but overall the experience was terrible.

I am genuinely surprised so many people this diner. The options are super limited and the food was the blandest I've had in a long time. The French toast tasted like burnt milk and the hash browns were barely cooked. Seems like they focus on rushing food vs cooking it well. If you're a basic bacon and eggs person, you may be okay. The building felt.. unmaintained. A bit dirty and uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and it's affordable.

Took my order online, after I got two confirmations through email on pickup time, I arrived and they said they don't do online orders. Still have not seen the money that was charged on my account, 20 and change. Totally bogus, never going to bother with this place again.

I like this place a lot, but not updating your menu prices after several months sours the whole experience. Don't like getting a receipt with an amount different than what's on the menu.

Full on diner! Try the meatloaf -- it was excellent, though i was glad i ordered the gravy on the side. Home made mashed potatoes. Partner ordered atakawa, which was absolutely delicious. Warm, prompt service in a fun vintage setting.

Had a great experience here. If you’re looking for a classic diner, this is a great spot! I really enjoyed the Suzy’s Skillet. The chorizo was nicely charred and meshed well with the peppers and onions. The only knock on this place is the coffee was a little weak.

Our experience has always been great with the service,food,and atmosphere here...But yesterday my husband took us there Christmas Eve and it was amazingly delicious the food we ate he had the plate of Chilaquiles with eggs over easy,pork sausage ,bacon,and refried beans...let me tell you the beans were not canned or unflavored.They were actual refried beans made fresh and the chilaquiles were crunchy and not soggy the green salsa was perfect accompanied with the Arrachera skirt steak tht he added into his breakfast...we give it .💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟...
My plate was the steak and eggs they were deliciously done,hash browns were amazing they were perfectly done,Wheat toast was good too,the steak was Arrachera Skirt Steak and was delicious done perfectly soft and juicy not dry...The coffee was a bit watered down,but just a bit but was still good nice and hot with our breakfast.The plates were not small nor extra large but they were perfect enough for us to eat half and still take the other half all the way home to Wisconsin.We ate the rest of it this morning,today on Christmas Day...Well hope you enjoy this and go try the food there they will not fail in pleasing your palate...Oh and the bill came to $57.00,but thts because we got uncharged for the extra Arrachera skirt steak tht my husband asked for.It was fairly prices since the steak was almost
a ruler sized steak ....Good luck trying to get tht at some Denny's, IHOP,or Golden Nugget restaurant...Sorry not for tht flavor and atmosphere and even less for the serving and price amd not to mention the server who has been there for almost ten years next month...I give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Giving it one star as they had a sign saying that prices went 10 percent and walked in got seated and looked at the menu and figured they added the 10 percent to the menu prices. They didn't bill went 45 to 68 dollars. Math wasn't correct but still had to pay not going back.

I thought this restaurant was pretty good. Maybe not the best breakfast in the neighborhood, but they did have an expansive menu of other diner favorites. I would go back and try it for lunch or dinner some time.

My mom and dad used to go here in the '50s when they were dating. Finally went today and it was such a wonderful place. Old school diner decor. Nothing has changed since probably the 80s. The staff is so friendly and the service excellent. Kept refilling coffee and water. Told us to stay as long as we wanted. My husband got an omelette. He cant ear a lot of things so he asked for egg whites and tomatoes on the side and it was no problem. Omelette was big. I got a burger and fries. It was perfect. Coffee was very good. They kept making decaf for my husband. We parked on the street free Sunday after Mass. Highly recommended.

Good food, Service was decent. It is clean, if a bit grubby looking from the outside. Parking by meter on Fullerton is the only option.

Great place, too bad long time establishments across the street are gone! Genesis Art and Quenchers bar are both gone, those were establishments that should have staid in Chicago forever, because it seemed like they were here forever!

These corner restaurants/diners are great! Food and service was very good. The only complaint is the "food cost" surcharges that can randomly be added at will depending which way the wind is blowing...

Very nice classic breakfast+ lunch spot. Can't go wrong with their simple menu which cover all of the American diner classics and more. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant's atmosphere and nostalgic vibe is NOT pretentious or striving to be something it's not. This is da real deal. Good, honest, simple, and friendly food at an affordable price.

Love this place! I have been coming here as a kid. It is so cozy and great for family outings. Plus the new menu is great and has more options! As a vegan - they have a veggie skillet and it's very easy to make it vegan just order it with no cheese and of you are with someone who eats eggs, order the eggs on the side! So yummy and filling! Plus it is walking distance from my house and cheaper than Cozy Corner!

Its definitely a nice diner and has a nostalgic feel to it when you enter.

The service is friendly and quick.

The food its pretty much what you expect out of a diner experience. Hearty portions definitely very filling.

Food was good only con was that coffee was really watered down and just not good.

I came here several times as a kid. Now I share this place with my boyfriend and we both love it. The waitresses are the best and so caring. The food is authentic and good. We come here all the time for breakfast. Pancakes are always great. It’s a diner that has not been updated to fit the trends of today and it’s cozy.

I'm in love. Places like this need to be preserved and enjoyed by everyone. It's a classic diner with delicious food. I wish I took a picture of my Steak Skillet, but it was too good to not dig into. Do you want to have a blast to the past? Come eat here. Do you want to be treated like family by the staff that serves you? Come here. Want to escape the modern stress of cool hip places with menu items that have funky names? Come eat here. Fullerton Restaurant made my morning great. Thanks to the staff and keep up the hard work. I'll return promptly.

Not the same old Fullerton. Silverware is dirty and ripped seats. Food is ok. But I don't know how clean the kitchen could be. You cannot see the food being cooked or by who. I know now to just go to cozy corner restaurant down the street.
