I like this place. Always clean. Service is usually good. They might run out of something but definitely a place with returning. As you can see I like my grits and my Omelet on the same plate mixed together. Yum!

Received pancakes they were really thin like Crepes. I asked the waiter if I could get some fluffy pancakes, and he very politely accommodated. I had an order of three pancakes he returned with two pancakes. I brought it to his attention as soon as possible. He notified his manager, a young lady approached the table and said "The manager prepared the pancakes, and there were definitely there pancakes on the plate. I found this to be very offensive. I did not go to breakfast to get a free pancake. I only want what I was paying for.

I ordered a veggie skillet with pancakes cooked light… my pancakes came out actually really dark and my skillet had hardly no veggies. Sent it back, and the second skillet this time had no cheese. Had to wait for it to be prepared again and my pancakes got cold. The third time my skillet came out, I paid for spinach originally to be added to it, and (pictured below) is how much spinach was added….and half the veggies gone again…. I wont Return to this location. I’ll stick with Oak Lawn. I did NOT enjoy my experience.

You would’ve thought the manager would’ve come out to apologize or take something off the bill.. nothing! The waiter just rushed me off with the bill before I could even begin to finally try to eat.

The food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the Cappuccino, almost as good as in Europe! The place was just the right size, they had booths and tables. There was a free parking lot. The restroom was clean. The waite staff was courteous. No complaints, plan to dine there again!

I ask for my eggs to be soft however they was running a dam Marathon.my Bacon was half done. That was the worst breakfast I have ever had. I didn't eat it but they still Charge me for that food that I didn't even eat.

It all boiled down to service, atmosphere and price. No one was at the entrance for both carryout and dine in. The first guy I saw a guy with glasses and a goatee decided it was super important to take ten minutes to get another customers a lemonade so he just let a line build up. Then my server had no product knowledge. I asked if there were any meat lovers meal and it seemed to confuse her so she just suggested ordering everything separately. After being rushed to order a more pricey less satisfying less portioned option. I look online at the menu and look at that. There's several options as I originally requested. I should have just went to Subway or McDonald's for this. They get 5 stars for effort but I'm going to deduct three points for incompetence.

I spoke briefly to a gentleman near me and they had him waiting for quite some time. Despite being staffed and only javing Fove customers... Maybe this was the B crew amd the A crew was busy.

Horrible! I’ve been coming here for years, and I liked this place but the management has changed, we spoke with Shawn, during the interaction and honestly it was a nasty exchange. We waited almost 20+ minutes for pancakes and sausages, no special pancakes, plain pancakes. When I asked about our food they brought out cold food and then I asked to speak with the manager, Shawn. Basically, he blamed us for not mentioning it sooner but when were we supposed to mention it? We complained about the food immediately and he still tried to blame us. I won’t be back ever!

We have been coming here for years. Now they are cutting back on the portion size of the food and the think you don’t notice it. The manager does not GAF. But okay, you have lost loyal customers. Won’t be back.

Fast service for seating on a Thursday morning, great waitress service, clean , meals was hot when served and the best part was the bathroom clean , smelled great, loved the handlebars that you can use with your arm so you don’t have to use your hand , would recommend this place for your self or family! It was crowded, we were a party of nine and our waitress should have had help; she tried hard to keep us pleased but the food orders were wrong: the sausage should have been trkey, they brought pork, the hash browns should have had cheddar chedese added, they added American and the crepes I had were flavorless - there was no cream cheese filling and no sauce - they literally stuck some blueberries in a doughy crepe.

The omelets were terrible. Realized the next day that they added a 120.00 tip on the bill after already adding gratuity. The manager was not helpful. Just made excuses. They refunded the money but refused to show me the signed receipt. Keep an eye on the charges when you visit this restaurant.

Whenever I am in Chicago, I have to have the apple pancake. I always tell the hostess to start the pancake , because it takes a little longer. Can never eat more than half, but it is so good.

Went to eat with my family. I ordered a meat lovers omelette and received a ham omelette and was told, by another waiter, that i didn’t ask for a meat lovers. Had to remind the waiter 3 times that 5 people hadn’t received their drinks. The bill was 188 with the tip, 26 already included. We were charged 308 and when we called about it they said a $120 tip was written in but it was definitely not added by us. On top of all of that, the omelettes were awful. Flat circles of eggs with ingredients just tossed on top. Horrible experience all around.

My bacon pancakes were delicious! Omg the fiesta hashbrowns were so yummy. Server Dishawn was super nice and respectful. Great place for breakfast with the family. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of free street parking.

I went twice this week (4/08 and 4/12) 2024 and each of those times I was shortchanged on the food. It looked liked a kiddie meal. This has definitely changed since previous visits. The omelet was so small I thought it was cooked in a kids play skillet. I asked about the portion side and was told to it was indeed done with the correct amount. I live in the area and I know the owners would be shocked about the level of food being served. I saw someone else order the same meal and it was usual size portions.

This was my first time eating here the food was disgusting. I asked for my eggs and turkey links to be well done. The waitress came with the food looking hung over and when I told here my turkey links was not well done, she started for them to get like that the cook would have to keep rolling them back and fourth, really? So I asked to speak with a manager, the waitress or manager did not come to my table. So I saw the waitress and she showed me who the manager was her concern was a dumb look like a lost dear walking in traffic and she stated you didn't have to eat the food I showed her the food on the table. I told her I don't know if the cook didn’t make my food property or the waitress didn’t give the cook the order properly. Whatever the case I'll never come her again. This woman manager and waitress has no Serve Etiquette what so ever. I will personally let the people I know not to stop here in Beverly on Western Ave.

Pancake House is always decent but last week we experienced awesome service from Dishawn. I brought my wife and mother in for breakfast and he was nice prompted and really professional. He seemed to really enjoy his job and even spent a lil time in between service and the meal to talk to us and make sure we had everything needed. If u are ever in town or in the area stop into the original house of pancakes and ask for Dishawn

I had the most courteous, hard working server today, his name is Dishawn and he worked at the location on 104th & Western. He gave 100% service not just to me but all his customers. I haven't had good service like that in restaurants in a long time. A good young man with manners and good work ethic, I will return. The support staff was also great and the food delicious but Dishawn was the star ⭐️ today.

I ordered a turkey skillet with turkey bacon and turkey sausages. I asked the lady to read back everything to me the way I said it to her and she did. But My bacon was pork!!! haven’t eaten pork in God knows how long. I’m pregnant and can’t stay out the bathroom because my body isn’t handling it well. I ordered light pancakes but they were dark I’m just very disappointed!

The food wasn't good. I had the vegetarian omelet with bacon, hashbrowns, and raisin toast. The bacon was mixed in the omelet but wasn't crispy and seemed to only be the uncooked fat portion of the bacon. Therefore, it ended up picked out on the side of my plate. I hate when I have to pick over my food. The hashbrowns, cold and undercook when first delivered, were returned hot and undercooked, with zero seasoning, and I tasted no oninions in them. Also, the food wasn't visually appealing. We started noticing as we were closing out, visually appealing food coming out. We concluded that it must have been a change in shift, but whatever, I won't be back to this location; 3 strikes you're out.

I love this location. They are often busy but always manage consistent food quality and relatively fast service while maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor. The pigs in a blanket are my new favorite thing here! The food is always fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend getting the fresh squeezed oj! If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy a hearty breakfast this is the place!

I ordered medium scrambled eggs. I was served soft greasy eggs with cheese (did not ask for cheese). It was 1:30p when I got there and they close at 3:00p. I had second thoughts about going in, thinking the end of the day food may not be good and I was correct. I was headed to the 109th and Cicero location but I was starving.

Server Kimberly j was excellent server and very good person always professional to customer. . I can't believe I went into the pancake house and they fired KIM!!!! This is very sad . Me and my crew meet up there every month and some of us come 2-3 times a week she always takes care of us!!!! Oh mannnnnn I hope she doing ok.

Recently, I went to the original house of pancake 10437 western ave chgo, il. Waiter ivan h., owner charles wagner, jesus rivera, and shelley overcharged my bank card which promoted me to file “theft by taking,” with the BBB, Attorney General’s office and in court.
