China Garden - Hegewisch

I would’ve gave them 5 stars because the food is great and the service was great too. However, I ordered Shrimp fried rice and they add beef and chicken to it. I had to pick the chicken and beef out of my fried rice while eating it. Other than that everything was good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. Now I know to check my order before I leave the restaurant.

Update: I had to come back and give them 5 stars. After looking at the menu again I realized the spicy shrimp fried rice comes with chicken and beef. Who would’ve thought that. I just thought it would be spicy. Make sure to pay attention to the menu.

Oh my god the food here is so good. They have a ton of items so it has something for everyone. I highly suggest checking them out. I been getting the beef in a variety of different plates to see what I like best. The Rangoon’s are really good. And you need to have a few egg rolls to top it off. Go today!

I went here on my lunch break. I ordered the lady at the front desk. Took my order and said 10 minutes. I asked her if she was sure because I had to get back to work. She said yes only 10 minutes. I have no other orders. It took 40 minutes for them to make my order and packet.the food was terrible. They forgot something in the order and when I called back, she said I could come back to the restaurant. This Place is terrible.

I ordered Chicken Wings through Grubhub delivery. They were overcooked, dark, sweet, and greasy.
The worst chicken Wings I've ever tasted.
I mean come on who cannot cook chicken wings right?

The fries were overcooked and hard.
I doubt if I will ever order from china garden again.

Fried chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, salt and pepper tofu, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable egg foo young, governor's chicken, and egg rolls are all good. Pot stickers are decent. Singapore noodles are outstanding. I love that curry taste. The Bbq pork fried rice tasted like the pork had gone bad. Delivery was quick, and the order was correct. The iced tea is very good but on the sweet side.

Ordered 2 egg rolls, a small shrimp chop suey and a small combination fried rice. Was told by the lady taking my order it would take 15 mins.
Cut to 40 minutes later, I’m getting my order. Bad service. Won’t return to this place again.

Everything’s amazing! This is my go to Chinese spot anywhere near Hegewisch. Staff is very nice, they’re pretty quick for pick up and delivery.

The food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G it’s so flavorful and fresh and I love how they deliver although the only sad thing is the single lonely fish in a tank I believe it should have some decorations inside the tank.

It's good. The Won Ton soup is loaded with wontons and vegetables. It's worth it. The delivery is on time. The food arrives hot. They are dependable. They need to put the smoothies on the online menu.

Food is alright but the lady that works the desk is so stingy with sauce its ridiculous. I have never had this experience especially when spending 50+$ each visit you would expect more than one of each sauce... sub par customer service at this location.

Service sucks, but food is great. If you don't mind waiting forever, because they use there own delivery driver who is never on the agreed time by average 30 min. Nice guy though, always apologetic,not good English though.

There’s was dead roaches all over the floor. Didn’t realize until I was waiting for my food. There all over the floor at least 4 I counted dead laying there. I had two lunch specials and just left them there. I couldn’t even eat it. Disgusting

The staff has always been friendly while my food tasty and on time. I am basing my reviews on their lunch menu. I received my food at 1030 and since midnight I’ve been vomiting and diarrhea.! I don’t know what they did to my food but it’s 1:21 and I can’t sleep without running to the toilet. The health inspector should come there because I believe I’m suffering from food poisoning.

I wanted so much to like this...I really did. I was excited over honey shrimp and when it arrived after an hour and a half it was so disappointing! The sauce was delicious but the shrimp and breading were overcooked and impossible to even chew.
The teriyaki chicken apps were good and the rice was good but the honey shrimp was why I ordered. Sigh.

A great place for chinese food. Worth the wait. If you want a good value buy the lunch specials. Their crab rangoo tastes amazing. In addition their smoothie are a great treat for the summer. I would ad the black tapioca for an extra .75 cents.

Always great takeout! I have been going here for awhile and really like the chow fun it is awesome!! The pan fried noodles as an extra are always sure to add that perfect crunch! The egg rolls are delicious and the tofu is done perfectly!

Horrible food and place. We are vegetarian and found chicken in our veggie fried rice and mushroom fried rice also a piece of black sharp plastic! They have a nasty attitude and and the place it nasty as hell! Why havent they been shut down yet? I live in hegewisch and i will never go back. If your looking for good chinese food and a place that is nice to sit in go to Hong Kong Kitchen in hammond or Liangs in Lansing.
