Don's Drive In Chicago

I pass by this place almost every day and never stopped until yesterday to try it out. I have to say that the service from the very kind woman behind the counter is superb, that alone gets 5 stars. We tried the Philly cheese steak with fries, the food was OK, it wasn't great but it's not bad either. The steak was a bit dry and could use more cheese and onions but it was decent. I would definitely stop by again to try other things on the menu. But I wouldn't call it my favorite.

If I am being honest, I stumbled upon this place on a google search for a turkey burger. The burger is definitely a frozen patty and is just ok, they forgot to lettuce to my sandwich. The fries were just ok. Since that is out of the way, The customer service was phenomenal, they get 3 stars just for that alone. I loved how when I walked in the cashier called everybody Mija and Mijo, it was like visiting that Tiía that smothers you with kisses and hugs and does whatever for you to make sure you’re good. Maybe it’s just me but she even made sure that the girls order before me had a good amount of cheese on it before she walked out of the door. How could you dislike such sincere customer service.

It's a little shack of a hot dog spot but you will not be disappointed! The polishes, gyros and nachos are great! I wish they had buns without the seeds and the mo longer sell plain chips which I like to have with my polish. Overall, it's a great place!

Years ago, this little hut prepared and distributed the best hotdogs 🌭 and polish sausage this side of heaven. Unfortunately, it isn't as delicious as before. I ordered a polish that was rubbery in texture. The relish was pale in color and distasteful.

Blondie at the cashier is a bully. Miss them having the other cashier before. I see why she would leave. Dealing with what I experienced today. I wouldn't go here again. Expensive for some mediocre food.

Been going here since I was a kid and I can say they make the best chocolate milkshake on the south side. Burgers, dogs, and fries are always great and their service is quick and kind.

They can't justify high prices. Ordered Hot dog. After I picked all the bread off. I didn't feel like eating the tiny hot dog. And frozen fries. Why do Businesses open/stay open and don't want to put money in it. Again. With Quality comes Business. I probably was the only one to stop in - in a few days. How could owners waste their time like that ?

When i come hears I order the 2 polis hosdog and nugges, and sometime is get a drink, maybe a fanta or coke. they taste delissios all the time, so very frech and good. the lady cashere, she is nice, and kind. it takes long to get your foos, but it be fine a lot, really.

I been eating at this place for over 10 years and it says they close at 7 but the close when they want to. I showed up at 6:30 and said that they were closing. Very unprofessional.

The cashier was not only rude she was so mean tgere was a pregnant lady there asking her the price to mozzarella stix and she told her i dont know the price you need to check yourself im not the owner and then started to make bad commenrs with the cook speaking in Spanish she had no idea i spoke spanish she needs to go orcyou will lose alot of customers.

This is my favorite Vienna spot. I love to go here to get my Chicago style Vienna hot, polish with fries and my soda. When the weather is nice I sit outside at the tables and enjoy my food. Great Food, fast service.

I really enjoyed their Italian Beef. The meat was very tender. I didn't eat the sandwich until later in the evening & as the juices settles into the bread, that sogginess seems to have made the taste more explosive 🥴 I also love their fried zucchini chips💜

A little over priced but food is pretty good and it's convenient. Customer service is terrible! The old lady that answers the phone and takes orders is very rude, when I called to place my order, she answered the phone and I asked did they have the 2 polish special she said no and hung up before I could place my order. So I called back and she wouldn't answer the phone. I drove to the restaurant to place my order and told her she hung up on me and her response was "OH I DONT ANSWER THE PHONE NO MORE!" Absolutely ridiculous.I I used to recommend this place to everyone, not anymore!

The foods good, they have good customer service, and they make the food quick. They do all of this right, however you do need to confirm your order and make sure it’s s right because once u finalize it, there’s on refunds.

Been coming here for over 20 years. I love a few miles away now, but I still make the trip and its worth it everytime. hotdog special is my go-to, but if you call ahead they will steam a polish for you and its fantastic. Regular polish is good too, but nothing beats the steam.

I've been coming here since I was a child! This place has the best Chicago style hot dogs by far! Whenever I'm in town it's the first place I go. Their oreo shakes are so good too! You have to try them! Staff are also super friendly.

I went with my family to eat there and we loved it. The customer service was great, the food was really good and the prices were fair. Their milkshakes were the best! They have an outdoor area to eat and while I waited for my food, I noticed that they have a lot of specials going on all week. I see us coming here really often :)

I have been going to dons since I was a kid. The food is all around awesome. Whether it’s a Chicago dog or a gyro. The shakes are amazing!! And the customer service is always great. Very friendly staff and fast service!!

I ordered a salad yesterday it was the worse salad I've ever had, its like they cut up a whole bell pepper and put it in there big pieces and no cheese. Everything else I ate from there was good.
