Always a pleasant experience. This is hands down the best J&J fish on the south side. Always fresh hot fast and great service. I visited other J&J FISH out south and all you get is over cooked dried out food not here.

I will not buy anything from this location again. I placed a order for a large Tilapia and when I got home it was Swai, a cheap fish that some places sell in place of catfish.I called back and the lady insisted that it was tilapia but told me that I can bring it back. When I took it back the manager asked if I wanted anything else so I told him that I will take some catfish because they gave me swai. Got my order that was supposed to be catfish and it’s swai, I’m done they lost a customer over $12.

This is on 109th Halsted it's so clean and u can see them cooking your food,I even told the owner he needs to teach some classes to other JJs about cleaning. This place is always bright and clean

I ordered a combo with the catfish fillets and catfish nuggets. A four piece legs and thighs. A side of spaghetti. Lemon cake, banana pudding and a Mistic. I told them to keep the fries, and hot sauce. But I wanted extra coleslaw and bread instead. When I received my order, my spaghetti, lemon cake, banana pudding were all missing. I didn't get the extra coleslaw or bread I requested for in place of the fries. I asked for ketchup and tartar sauce, I didn't receive either. I don't think I'll be going back there again

I will never go back to this location. The person at the front taking orders was rude. I greeted this individual and he said nothing. I thought he didn't here me so I repeated my greeting and he asked me what my order was in reply. I will be spending my money elsewhere since they don't need it.

Very disappointed, been frequenting this location for years, never an issue until 2 days ago. Idk what kinda fish they gave me, but it was not catfish. Everything from the appearance, smell and taste was off. I hope they're not trying to trick customers, people who eat catfish, know catfish. I hope they go back to the same quality of food.

I ordered through Grubhub and they messed up the order because it was incomplete. I called the store the lady told me to come in and bring my receipt. I get alll the way to the place and the cook starts yelling at me in front of my children saying that’s not what his computer says I’m like sir this is what my account shows and I asked him if he could remake my food for the inconvenience this man walk off like I he was the person who lost money and time. I have been ordering from this location for a few years and getting it delivered from uber eats. It was always hot and fresh. My past 3 orders have not been so fresh. I thought maybe just a different cook or something. On my last order my fish was so greasy like it was dipped back in cold grease and fries wet with grease. Maybe they have a new owner. With the cost of the food I won't be ordering any more from here. I can't take a chance getting bad food

Yesterday I was pick up order for one of my customer i wait for the order the lady that work at jj fish told me it would be 10 minutes for the order.I wait over 20 minutes I asked the lady at jj fish is the order ready she said yes. My customer order been ready for over 10 minutes why lady jj fish tell me when the order was ready.2 0r 3 people order was ready when they came in to jj fish and they place order on phone.the lady jj fish was on phone all day while wait for my customer order. Why guy who own place allow this mess go on that why i grade this restaurant just a 1 star it likegoing to homeless restaurant.

My lady ordered a pan of catfish and perch on mother's day. I truly don't know what was wrong with the perch! It makes me wonder if it was perch. The fish had a horrible texture, as if it was eaten from the inside and all was left was the coating. I have eaten a lot of perch in my life, and I don't think it was perch. The catfish was excellent. After spending 182$, everything should have been excellent.

Will NEVER order anything from this location. First of all I ordered a LARGE fish fillet dinner, I received only two pieces of fish 🐠, one piece of Hard bread old fries and no coleslaw. The fish seems like it was refried. Thank god I was able to get a full refund through Uber eats . You have to be cautious when ordering from the hood, someplaces you can’t support.

This fish (buffalo) was so darn good...my mouth is watering just thinking about it...really good and fresh!
