I feel bad for writing this but the French fries had no seasoning so they were tasteless even after I seasoned them. The bacon cheeseburger was also bland for some reason. The Italian sausage had a little flavor but not enough for me to eat the rest. The last time I came here I liked it. Not sure what happened this time around.

Delicious original Polish sausage with fried onions and a giant sport pepper. Fries were good too. Reasonably priced and the staff here are accommodating and genuinely politely.

Ordered a hotdog since I couldn't get a polish dog the way I wanted it. This hot dog was so tiny and smothered with grilled onions. It may have well been an onion sandwich. The fries were the best part of the meal.

I’m not sure what part of Mexico makes there taco with enough oil to fry chicken after your done. This is horrible, and the oregano in the salsa verde is disappointing. I’d stick to polish and pork chops

Oh my goodness this was awful
I've never had fries so disgusting and the Italian beef tastes weird

I got a pizza puff two fries a beef well dipped with sweet peppers
The pepper tasted horrible no sweetness no love put into them
Even the bread was hard and not properly dipped
This meal is not recommended by me

Went to this place tonight and the Mexican lady at the window was rude and VERY unprofessional!. First it took almost an hour to get to the intercom and order and the line of cars was out in the street. Then when I finally ordered and got to the window, She wouldn’t hand me my food out the window. I had to lean out window to grab my food and then when I said have a good night, she didn’t respond but had a terrible expression on her face. Just a terrible attitude all around. She should not be working with the public if she has a Terrible attitude like that. Yuck?!

I ordered a polish and it was cooked so hard. It was well done in the inside. They gave me one that was at the bottom and has been on the grill for at least four hours. This is very unacceptable. This need to get it together. The young lady that was at the drive-through window was very rude when I told her about my food. The cook came from the back and gave me another polish that was fresh very appreciative of that.

Chicago's restaurants, beside Family I miss the most....it's our restaurants FOODS that I miss at #2. A real variety and hard for me to like other cities' food when they claim it's a Chicago Dog or Italian Beef...it's always something missing. Please understand, at Maxwell Street Express you walk up to a counter and your standing safely on the sidewalk, now you can choose to stand at the counter & eat your food, but usually we just walk up, order, watch them prepare our food, pay & leave... it's one of many ways Chicago feeds you well. To those who read & follow... when you visit Chicago, make sure you taste the really great food of Chicago or make a trip to visit "THE TASTE OF CHICAGO"

I went here twice for lunch craving the polish it was nasty and the second time i had Italian beef sandwich it looked like cat food , it was bland and dry I tried to give a second chance it's horrible I don't even think they use real meat for the beef, the polish also subpar, my stomach was feeling funny afterwards it's garbage food I only ate some of it cause I paid for it but I will never go back

I went here and order a bacon cheeseburger meal. I had to call the police on one the employees in this restaurant. The reason why is because I asked for my money back because I noticed nobody was changing there gloves and some of them wasn't even wearing gloves and the employee literally threatened me. I asked to speak to the manager and she suggested I call the police because they will take a long time coming she said to me. The manager also called the police and after 20 minutes she suggested I go to the police station up the street on Halsted and put in a the report. This location also needs to be cleaned and they need to retrain there staff or get new staff. I also have a recording of everything and I told everyone I was recording for my protection and there's.

Doesn't taste exactly like the Maxwells on 31st & Canal or the originals in the original Maxwell street 'hood. You'll hafta order Extra Extra onions. But the customer service here is Wayyy WAYYY BETTER than the Maxwells on 75th & State Or 79th & South Chicago Avenue. Like, 10,000 light years Better!!!!! Prices are competitive.

Tonight I'm highly pissed. I normally stop by this location when I'm passing through the city as I did tonight. I ordered a beef polish with grilled and raw onions and a pork chop sandwich and a grape soda. Never checking my bag because again, I've never had an issue. I get all the way back to Maywood and pull out a hot dog!!! That's not even the ticker, it was covered in raw onion with no grilled onion. I called and called and no answer which is why I'm here. I am not happy at all and now have to find something else to eat.

I bought the Italian beef with sweet peppers costing 10.00 with fries. Lots of meat, fries have skin on them. The place is 24 hours, but the doors close at 8:00 pm to order inside. Got beef juice in cup instead of being dipped.

I have enjoyed the flavor of a good maxwell street for years. I recently cut back on meat so when my wife suggested this place for dinner, I was feeling uncertain about what to order. To my surprise, they have a fish sandwich that made my taste buds do a little dance. The flavor and use of grilled onions on a fish sandwich is not something I would have tried before eating their sandwich. Well done.
