Let me just say I ordered for a company event. Nothing but how good everything was . The staff was on point , very smooth transition. People from the job that don’t eat jerk, ate jerk.

Best Jamaican Cuisine I’ve ever had hands down. I have no complaints. I’ve have the Jerk Chicken and Tilapia as well as the yams, macaroni, greens and red beans and rice!!! Soooooo DELICIOUS THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!

I been coming here since 1999
I left for Florida 16 years ago and came back in town yesterday and first thing I thought was JR ....it hasn't changed and the food is well seasoned and not too pricey considering inflation.

Just sat down to eat, I ordered two whole chickens, a large yam and mac and cheese. The chicken was moist (all pieces) the chicken without the sauce was very flavorful nothing bland about it, I like the sauce, the sauce was absolutely fantastic with a good kick too it only thing I would say is it could have been a little more thicker it was rather watery but that's just me. The Mac and cheese was cheesy good taste too along with the yams it taste like a home cooked meal. Very satisfying

I've tried several places on the south side and most were closed for January 1st so I decided to try this one and was thoroughly impressed. It was the best curry goat I've ever had on the Southside. This is my new destination when I visit the city. So much meat in a world full of people who want to scrimp. Cant wait to go back.

PLEASE!!! Take your money to a Jamaican restaurant that doesn’t charge your for RICE! These people are money hungry! In what world do you advertise something as a DINNER! Then charge people for rice with their dinner? I understand making your money! But come on now lol! This is straight garbage

Chicken is great. Lots of flavor and moist. Sides need work. Rice and peas have a "rice and gravy" taste. Very good service. Cash only

When i first went there i ordered a jerk tip and wing combo it was delicious i hadbtge same thing every week the last few time my meat was tough the wings were dried out to the point where there was no meat not chewable at all she gave me thr opposite of what i asked for i mentioned it to her before she said no problem and last night did the same again but they were closed and its. No refund policy

Hands down, best place for Jerk. Their daily specials are awesome! Eventhough everything there is delicious, I usually go for the jerk tip, jerk chicken or curry chicken special with yams and mac and cheese.

The first time I ate from this place it was the wrong order they gave me dark meat instead of white. The second time I went she hit it right on the head. Chicken was good, greens and yams was delecious. I dont too much like the cabbage. Jerk Villa 79th is my go to spot I dont care how long I wait. This place is definetly a competion.
