Decided to take a drive for the birrieria ramen and otw I tried placing my order and couldn’t place it without card over the phone(I have cash) and get there and absolutely no parking. That’s why they empty now. Almost 20min drive wasted. Should’ve took the 30 at don luis. At least I know the ramen is bomb and I can park my car to get my food. Smh

I fell in love with their ramon birria since my first try in 2021. Today, 2024, I purchased 2 ramon birria, and they were too salty for my taste. Attention to the chef/cook, please go back to your original recipe. Side note, I also noticed less birria in this dish as well. Will probably give them one more chance before I find another spot for ramon birria.

Excuse me for the missing pieces cuz I ate majority of the birria pizza. Before I came home, I just had to taste them. I had the birria ramen also, everything was good. I got to try them again very soon.

Very small place. Food is really good. I've had a little bit of everything here at some point. Not much parking. Don't park in the Mr. Submarine lot. They will tow your car. Reasonable prices.

This was my first time having quesabirria, and it definitely did not disappoint! I sort of understand the point of them being a bit pricey for the portions given, but the taste and presentation was definitely on point!

I see this place has a 3.9 rating. Hmmm, I didn’t think it was bad. Who cares if the place is small? I thought it was cozy. Employees were nice and took care of my order pretty quick. Waited maybe almost 10min. perhaps?

I picked up an order of 3 quesabirria tacos and an order of rice and beans on the side, came with the consume. Tacos were normal size, right amount of meat and cheese and a small cup of consume, believe me it is more that enough unless you’re chugging it with every bite of your taco. It was definitely flavorful. I think I saw a sign that said they’re #9 in Chicago for quesabirria? Maybe so, but truth be told this is the second spot I’ve tried for quesabirria in the city.

Here’s the negatives:
Not enough cebolla and cilantro to cover 3 tacos. It was more cebolla than cilantro. And the side order of rice and beans was literally a child like serving. You can’t be tight with the rice and beans. They also gave me 1/4 lime wedge, I needed more juice for the other two tacos. You can’t be tight with the limes. I saw a review of someone who took a pic of their takeout container and they had more rice and beans! I was a little jealous.

I’d go back since I live in the area. My total was $16. I do have a go to place for quesabirria, but that’s for a different review. Excuse the pic but I was hungry lol.

this lives for the hype, if you are looking for non goat beef tacos quasobirra with the dipping soup. They do not skimp on the meat and the food is cooked to order. 1 taco is 4 dollars but if you get the 4 quasobirra plate you save like 3 bucks. Im not convinced that these are the best, but they are good and worth dishing out the 💰...

Para er sincero solo fuimos por la publicidad de la radio.
Pero nada que ver. Llegamos tardaron una eternidad en atendernos (en darnos el menu) y ni siquiera dieron totopos algo similar
Bueno por fin. Pedimos carne asada y una tampiqueña tomaron la orden
Regresaron al tiempo solo pasa decirnos que no tenían carne para la tampiqueña ni para el platillo de carne asada
Algo de no creer. Cambiamos todo por pollo
No nos trajeron tortillas, al tiempo llegaron.
Bueno es un lugar muy pequeño que no tiene nada de malo el tamaño
Pero por lo mismo fuera más fácil de atender al cliente supongo. No lo recomiendo.

I ordered here hundreds of times and this last time the lady asked me for a photo of my card. Super shady and when i called her out kn it she hung up on me. I called back to ask for the manager she said she was the manager and hung up again.

I was riding pass and discovered this place. I was also very hungry and this place didn't disappoint what I was hungry for. The chicken and steak 🌮 was so fresh and delicious. The 🌽 in a cup was on point yes go get you some.

The food is so good here worth the money. Some people forget that with good quality comes a little higher prices. Service is amazing Maria took my order and she was very helpful and nice i have also had another young girl serve me and she is also very nice. Good atmosphere. Go to place for tacos! The parking can get a-little tight but all in all i give this place a 9/10.

No savia que para pedir para llebar tienes que pagar con tarjeta primero de por si ya cobran super caro mas el impuesto de la tarjeta luego la senora que atiende estas comiendo alli y se la pasa hablando por celular con altavoz y te aturde uno va a comer no a oir lo que la pinché vieja chismosea no se si se ella es la dueña pero nesesita atender la clientela pésimo servicio

Update - went back and got the birria pizza today and it’s still the best I’ve had so far. Birria pizza is a nice affordable option that feeds a few.

There was more fat than meat in each taco. They also forgot part of our order. Each taco was filled with very very little meat and so many chunks of fat that we could not finish it.

A year ago this place was nice,but now the QuesaBirria tacos are hard & almost meatless with no cheese,I'm a frequent customer & I noticed patterns on chefs & cashiers,some days the Ramen is spicy,thick or watery,cashiers are rude when you ask to make sure the consome is in the bag & gets mad & try to speak in Spanish,blacks know Spanish but not all can hold their composure.For those reasons I won't be going back ,plus there's no parking, Consistency on the chefs recipe and fire all the young cashiers

OMG!!!!! 😋 😋 😋 I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS PLACE WATCHING CHANNEL 7 NEWS.
THE PIZZABIRRIA WAS AMAZINGLY AMAZING! IT WAS EVERYTHING I HOPED IT WOULD BE. IT'S LITERALLY ENOUGH TO FEED 4 PEOPLE. THE SLICES ARE NICE SIZED AND THE MEAT TO CHEESE RATIO WAS PERFECT. I ORDERED QUESABIRRIAS TO GO AND THEY WERE JUST AS GOOD TOO.

Never coming here again - even after giving them another chance after a terrible UberEats experience, too!

I thought this place would be great because the 47th Street location is so amazing, they have trending items like Quesabirrias - but don't be fooled! The food is poorly prepared and (I hate to say this) it's disgusting.

I ordered the Birria Ramen and my sister ordered the Milanesa. The noodles for my ramen took forever to soften; the birria/soup was soooo thick, and when the noodles finally softened it thickened the soup more making it a disgusting glob.

My sister ordered a milanesa but it was so oily and not fresh at all. It had the markings of the grill. So they pre-cook it, let it sit, and when it's ordered they oil the grill again and re-cook it. This just makes it hold so much oil. To top it off, it had no flavor. Seems they didn't even have salt.

I should have known this place was a bust when they gave me all the salsas but chips would be an extra charge. Why put the salsas out then? To drink?

Their parking doesn't make sense; the salsas, their food - nothing. Please close.

I forgot to mention that their Submarine neighbors must hate them because they have a tow truck ready to take any of their customers cars who park next to the building. Their signage is not clear in the parking lot, and the sign on the door is a long letter to God which nobody reads.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! First and last time I purchase from this restaurant. Like many of you mentioned, they take so long in answering the phone calls. Plus, the lady that delivered my food was very RUDE!!! Also, I had ordered tortillas hechas a mano, my tacos were on regular corn tortillas; the extra charge was there. Overall, do not recommend this place.

After hearing a lot about the Quesabirria Tacos in Gage Park, I had to check it out and it was not a disappointment! They were delicious and even my young children enjoyed them! Would definitely recommend.

My 1st experience was not that great , they don't answer the phone at all , I wanted to place a order for pickup due to covid and my time . I get there the employees are having a conversation in the middle of the restaurant with no customers. I ordered queso birra tacos and Im sorry to say they were not good , they are very very very small and they include little to no meat !! Birra tacos are know for having tons of meat and they barley had any and the meat had no flavor. The lady at the register seem to have an attitude when I ask for a fork and spoon.

I went there yesterday for the first and last time. I ordered 3 steak tacos that were horrible. The tacos were tiny, the meat had no seasoning, and was hard along with the shells. I would advise anybody to not order there. You will be very disappointed.

Waited 40 minutes for TWO things. They said they would call when the food was ready. When we went to ask why it was taking so long they said the food was actually ready they just couldn't call because they were busy... there wasn't anyone waiting to order or pickup. Horrible service, not worth it.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I waited over 40 minutes for a ramen and 4 quesadillas. They were supposed to call when the order was ready and after we went to ask about the order they said it was ready but hadn't called. Don't come here unless you want to waste your time with people who don't know how to run a business efficiently in a timely manner.
