Legends Chicken & Fish

I want to show some Love for Legends . The food never disappoints and the owner is always in good spirits willing to serve the community as he knows how. Even when he feels that he has inconvenienced you he will make sure to correct it. This evening I had a call in, when I came to pick up my order he made sure that I did not wait long and gave me more chicken than what I thought to get it. He shows love. I appreciate that. And it has a good taste!

Spent about 40 dollars waited an hour after calling in from them westside just to be served old chicken and perch was so old and dark under the breading we tossed it after taking one bite…if you’re going to just give me some old food what did I wait an hour for on a call in ??
I also asked for hot sauce on the side and was given mild slathered all over my old fish, probably to mask it but I don’t eat mild sauce smh
Complete waste of money on inedible food this is what happens when you support businesses in certain communities ALWAYS trying to get over

Closed at pre-ordered pickup time.

I ordered via GrubHub. The food was great, good portions and they followed my special instructions. They replaced the cakes I ordered with an extra wing and perch, wish that they called me to see what I would have liked instead. Also, their water is listed as 1.5 LT but it's only .5 LT. I will go in person if I can. I like their mild sauce too. Not too sweet or spicy, just right.

NOT WORTH THE WAIT! Pretty good tasting food actually, but not worth the long waits. I’ve called on 4 different occasions at different times of the day and the service is always extremely slow. Even if you call and order they’ll say 15-20 minutes, which is fine, but then when you show up after about 20 minutes to pay and pick up the order they say it isn’t ready and then you have to sit and stay an extra 25-30 minutes waiting on your order. Definitely not worth the wait with so many other fast food options and Harold’s less than two blocks away on Vincennes Ave.👎🏾👎🏾

The customer service was AMAZING and the owner was a sweetheart. The food was fresh and hot. Super delicious and he even thre in a free item. Will definitely be back.

I was introduced to Legend by a couple who live in Missouri never heard of them live down street. I tasted the chicken wings and catfish in June at a baby shower fell in love. The spirit of the set up a great atmosphere great customer service.

Well They Food Is Salty, Order 28 pieces Of Thighs And Legs Chicken. It Was Salty Oh And No Fries Came With The Food !!! Also Order From Uber Eats, Dang Crazy Part Wen I First Ate They Food With Someone Didn't Taste Salty At All !! NEVER AGAIN !!!

I saw a restaurant that seems new and it was black owned so I ordered 3 half darks and cheese curds..The chicken was hard and old and the fries were so hard you can hammer a nail in the wall.. I won’t be back

Food is really good! Chicken is decent BUT whoever be frying that fish needs an award! It’s seasoned and consistently delicious! Food is always hot too when I order off Uber eats. I hope they stay good!

Omg I give this restaurant ten stars!!!!! The food was DELICIOUS 🤤 The customer service was great and the atmosphere was great 😊 and The prices was not bad at all ✅✅ I also got a chance to meet the owner he was a really nice young man I was pleased to meet him he also had some really really nice Artifacts along the wall I was amazed..There is also a section in the restaurant where u and a few friends can social distance and sit down and eat ur food with a tv in the sectioned off room and game slots ✅ Me and My Family will definitely be supporting this business again I’ll probably never order fish from any other restaurant again other then this one ✅✅✅✅✅

At approximately 3:50pm on Saturday January 6th I went to pickup a call in order. When I got to the restaurant, they had me stand in line for at least five minutes before they even bothered to find out why I was there. The whole time I was waiting, I literally watched two female cashiers assist
one customer that only needed one of them to help her. One of the cashiers was watching what the other one was doing.
I voiced my frustration with their laziness. They retaliated by putting salt on my chicken wings. The instructions in the DoorDash app specifically said NO LEMON PEPPER.

I think they have the best seasoned food in the neighborhood. You can get lost looking at the pictures on the wall of all different types of people, and some beautiful artwork as well. The staff has been great every time I go in and I haven't had anything bad from this restaurant.

The atmosphere was terrible. The lady and the guy at the counter in front were talking and ignoring me. I asked for lemon pepper on everything and we confirmed that’s what I wanted and it was not put on my order. I ordered a 3 piece catfish filet. Had I not check before I left Id’ve been at home with my food Very upset.

I placed an order via GrubHub for pickup. My fault for not checking my order upon receiving it. Needless to say, after I get home, part of my order was incorrect. I was asked to bring back the incorrect portion🤦🏽‍♀️ and I still had to put my own lemon pepper on my food🤷🏽‍♀️ No courtesy offer of so much as a cup of water for my inconvenience. The catfish is good, but we have to work on the customer service

I have tried fish from JJ's Red Snapper and it is breaded and cooked better than their fish, I was quite surprised took a chance and ordered the customer service was great who was the manager.

My mom loved the catfish steaks. This is my new go to place.

Don't fret if they are a little slow some places rush and when you get home you will be disappointed not here.

This is my second time ordering food from Legends. Both times te food was great and the customer service is top tier. The prices are great as well. PreCovid prices. They give you enough food too. Definitely recommend and I will be returning.

They somehow forgot my 10 wing dinner in the order and the lady said she’d write my name down so I can come back another day. Guess what? I go back the next day excited to give them another chance. The woman at the counter is clueless. No name was written down. The food was cold the first time, mild sauce tasted funny, and you failed to honor your word? These restaurants need a revamp in customer service and more competent cooks that actually care. They’ve lost not just one customer but they will not be recommended by me to anyone. Just go to any other fried chicken place, at least the food quality will make up for the poor service at those places. This review will not be removed or bought like the others. Tired of all these mid chicken joints polluting the neighborhoods.

So Legends be on POINT. The food is done right and delicious everytime that I go. Now the cons. They are slow on the cooking, example I ordered 2 gizzard and wings dinner and Thigh only dinner, man when I tell you I gave them and hour and half, when I got there I still waited 15 more minutes. But I guess it's worth it 👌🏾. But I call now and see if it's ready before I leave out my house... Shrimp is good and the catfish fillets.

THIS CHICKEN IS THE BEST, FRIED WITH PERFECTION…I LOVE MY CHICKEN FRIED HARD, this place does it perfectly; not how it’s made at others places when you have to wait forever only to go home disappointed…NOT THIS PLACE, great service through the door from everyone! Can’t do nothing but love the vibe and the people (like I said everyone lol), it is named “LEGENDS” for a reason. The chicken meal with the MILD SAUCE IS ON POINT PEOPLE, you can take my word. I took time for this review, it’s that good! Cooked fresh, perfect crisp, I love everyone from the cashier, THE COOK (Dude cool and is on POINT WITH THE FOOD), the Manager is all 💯

The chicken was good. A bit pricey, but wings are high. Need to change the prices on the website. The manager gave us complimentary drinks for our trouble. I really appreciate him. We will dine there again.

The young lady at the counter was friendly and had a kind spirit. We ordered catfish, wings and shrimp in two separate orders and everything was nicely seasoned and very tasty. This was my first visit and I'll be going back.

While the food was tasty I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay for items I believe should’ve been added to my meal. Also I didn’t get any napkins or flatware with my order and shouldn’t have asked to ask for them because it should’ve been automatic. Things like this are critical to pleasing your customer base as well as great tasting food.... ijs

I know restaurants can't please everyone but please note that today was my first time dining (to go) with Legend's, the food was okay and I say okay only because my food was not fresh (meaning not cooked to order, I believe) however I will be back to support this business but I will request that my meal be cooked to order.

The chicken wings are pretty good! I like the batter used on them it gives them a different kind of crunch, and they are tender not fried hard. The catfish I can say the same. There is a service fee for using credit or debit cards in store so be aware of that.
