I ordered a few of the daily combination meals but noticed it was more rice that the actual meat/protein. I am a bit disappointed since i was bragging to coworkers about how good it is. I was trying to get you more customers especially if they are satisfied with the food and the portions. Please work on making it equal about of meat as well.

it was my first time here and saw that orange chicken is very popular here and thought I d try it. Once I got the food I was met with huge disappointment, the only good thing was the egg fried rice I got with it but the sauce is this weird sweet salty taste and it feels like im eating chicken nuggets. I didn t want to finish it. Overall, it was alright.

BEWARE I (female) came here on 4/10/2023 for dinner. As we were being seated, a male customer was leaving and held his phone upright directly at me, as if taking photos, before quickly exiting the restaurant. I immediately felt violated and brought this up with our waiter, who said he d tell his colleague. His colleague was dismissive and aloof, and responded only with his claim that he could not do anything about it. To make matters worse, we were told this customer is a regular who patrons the restaurant at least weekly. My goal in relaying this incident was to alert the restaurant of such behavior from the customer and so they can have the information needed to keep their restaurant and other customers safe, ESPECIALLY if this suspicious customer is a known regular. I understand the restaurant staff are not law enforcement, and cannot take any legal action in response. I told the colleague of my intention, but there was no change in course of action from his side. Neither our first waiter and nor his colleague ever even TRIED to acknowledge my experience, nor did they make any effort to contact their manager or owner to hopefully better deal with the issue. Literally not even an ounce of concern was shown. Staff needs training to say the least, but beyond that, they need to develop some basic human decency and empathy. If you decide to visit this restaurant, please be vigilant. For reference - the guy who took photos was Asian male in his 20s, around 510, skinny, had hooded and monolid eyes, and short black hair.

We used to enjoy this place but not after tonight. Misadvertised pictures online. Order was absolutely nothing like depicted and restaurant refused to take any responsibility for it. Tried to blame online ordering company but clearly that is not the customers problem. Outrageous customer service. Expectations vs reality in pics. Pathetic.

Ordered online, was given the wrong dish and after bringing it to their attention I was told it was out of their hands and there was nothing they could do about it. I will NEVER be ordering from them again. They re food is too overpriced to be able to just piss my money away on something I can t even eat.

Absolutely Delish! Was a little irritated that I had to come to Chicago for my boyfriends prosthetic eye appointment, but that all changed once I peeped out this little gem! Food was fresh and delicious! Atmosphere was nice yet relaxing. And prices were decent for what you get! Boyfriend got the Seasame Chicken lunch special it was only $11.50 and there was enough left over for him to have a full lunch tomorrow too! Now Im actually looking forward to his appointment next week!

I recently dined at ML Kitchen and it was a dreadful experience. The Chinese cuisine they offered was nothing but a greasy mess. Every dish was saturated with oil, making it impossible to enjoy any authentic flavors. From the spring rolls to the main courses, everything was dripping with oil. It felt like they poured oil into every dish instead of using any real ingredients. The food was inedible, and I left feeling nauseous. When we spoke to the waiter about the bad taste, he rudely told us that our mouth taste was the problem, not the food. Honestly, they should consider shutting the restaurant down. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine Chinese dining experience.

I read these reviews, I live in the area and thought reviews say good food overall. Maybe people dont get out much? As a foodie Im really disappointed, definitely a 3 star. Undercooked, and not as flavor able. I ordered a variety of food, to include shrimp fried rice, soup dumplings, pot stickers.. For convenience because China town is a drive, this is fine. The service is prompt, the guy at the register was polite, reasonably priced. I probably will take the 15 min drive to China town, I probably wont return. Street parking, clean place.

So, Ive been low-key addicted to ML Kitchen through Grubhub, making it my not-so-secret guilty pleasure. I feel like Im the lone warrior on the Grubhub app... Im not a massive Chinese food fan, but when a hangover hits, its like, Okay, Chinese food, youre up. And guess who always saves the day? Yep, ML Kitchen. This time, I didnt have the classic hangover excuse; I just had a serious hankering for their Chicken Lo Mein. So, I DoorDashed it - extra chicken, of course - and threw in a veggie roll for good measure. ML Kitchens delivery game is always on point. The food arrives hot and ready to roll, even if Im not nursing a hangover. The Chicken Lo Mein, though, oh boy, it still hit all the right spots. The chicken was tender AF, and that veggie roll? A crunchy, fresh delight. ML Kitchen is officially my go-to Chinese spot, especially when Im not feeling my best. What seals the deal every time is that when the goods show up at my door, theyre piping hot and fresh as can be. In a nutshell, whether youre craving a hangover fix or just some seriously good Chinese comfort food, ML Kitchen is the real MVP. The Chicken Lo Mein, with its juicy chicken and flavor explosion, is my jam. No doubt, ML Kitchen has earned its spot as my trusty sidekick for satisfying those Chinese food cravings.

Its really difficult to enjoy your food with your jacket on. They should have compt us some hot tea or something. I hope the owner reads this.

Their baked curry chicken with coconut sauce is a must-try - seriously amazing! Parking: Taylor Street is always busy so you gotta try finding parking in one of the side streets. SpotHero has a free parking spot near Taylor Street.

We enjoyed a bowl of hot boiled beef, salt and pepper green beans, Xiao Long Bao, dry chili fish fillets, and hot pepper tofu. Oh, and dont sleep on the smoothies! They help balance out the heat. The vibe is laid back and they have a cool raised floor that is see through with a rock garden underneath. Vegetarian options: Tofu dishes and other veggies dishes.

I went there with a group of friends one night, and everything was pretty good. The only bad experience that turned a good night into a bad one was an interaction with the waiter who was the cashier also. When we paid, we pay with a credit card, then we were going to leave $20 in cash as a tip. After charging us, he demanded that we leave a tip while pointing to credit card receipt, but then I told him he were going to leave it in cash. After I said that, he said, Ok good, and he didnt apologize. So, instead of giving him the $20 like originally planned, I told him give me $10 back and keep the other half. This guy takes the $20 as a tip, and leaves to go clean the table. After this interaction, Im not sure if I actually want to go back to a place were they steal from you and treat you with disrespect.

ML KITCHEN SHOULD BE SEIZED!! and reported to the authorities for hygiene purposes. ML kitchen barely passed Chicago food inspection for ( food safety inspection) according to the scores mentioned on the certificate hanging, which further implies of how unhygienic and filthy their cooking practices are, a person told me how badly they handle food in the kitchen, and whenever something drops on floor they re-serve it back to the customers, which is not only a violation but also threat to health.

This was my second time coming here. Though I do enjoy the food, what I didnt appreciate was getting my order wrong by a male worker. A nice young lady replaced it with what I orginally wanted, just for him to walk over and snatch my plate out of my hand, walked away and then yelled at the waitress in front of me and my friend. once the young lady told him what I orginally rquested for he then grabbed my plate if food and threw my plate back down and walked off! No apologies from him but she did apologize. Then when I asked for my check, he stood next to her watching her put the order in. That was very rude and definitely lost two customers.

All I ate the day before was coffee for breakfast and then the beef noodles. I called back today to request a refund because of food poisoning. The woman on the phone (who I assume is the owner) told me there s nothing she can do. She told me it s winter so people get sick and we sell a lot of noodle. I tried telling her as a business owner she should just believe me and give me the refund to make the situation right. She continued to make excuses and did nothing at all to fix it. She lost a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

WORST SERVICE EVER. They just hung up on me when trying to cancel an order that was over a half hour late with our food sitting in the delivery car the whole time. Theyve pulled this multiple times with us. A girl who picked up the phone told me the driver left with our order 10 minutes earlier, only to be still waiting more than a half hour after that. Guess they thought it was ok for our food to be sitting in a car for 30 minutes to deliver it cold. We supported this place all throughout the pandemic since they used to have good food. But the last several times we ordered the food was way below average at best. Kept giving them a chance since they were local and we know how hard this whole thing has been on restaurants but they clearly could care less about our business. Well be happily moving on to many of the other better options available between the West Loop and China Town and suggest everyone do the same.

the dining environment is much better than those Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. They have a free parking at back yard. Dishes and courses are tasty too.

Good food, great service, and nicely-sized portions. The additional parking in the back is a nice amenity!

Second time something tasted sour/bitter like poison. Last time we had that taste my bf got sick. Im disappointed. One of the few places that will actually serve lots of veggies but my trust has been lost.

My favorite place to order Chinese food! The portions are large and abundant, and the quality of the food here is always excellent. The delivery times if you order through their website is always fast! The favorites: salt and pepper eggplant, beef chow fun, xiao long bao (soup dumplings), scallion pancake, and the dry chili chicken!

Ordered searching for a good, somewhat close option for Asian food while Im at work. Ordering online was easy, quick and gave a delivery time window. Ordered the Mongolian beef special and it was super good! Did normal spice and I know for next time to kick it up a bit higher but overall: great portions for the price and the taste is great.

Wonderful takeout experience from ML Kitchen! Their food is delicious we had the lamb with cumin, hot boiled fish filet, dry chili chicken, and Japanese tofu with enoki mushroom. Because we ordered $40 worth, we also got a free chicken fried rice!! Really hit the spot and the food was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. We had a huge amount of leftovers. Well worth the money and we loved supporting a nearby local restaurant.
