Potbelly Sandwich Shop

I was tremendous let down in this franchise chain. Would like to say something nice about this location but I can't. The store looked unkept with trash on the service line, dried soup on the soup station and over flowing trash cans. This location doesn't follow corporate practices when it comes to sandwich making. Example, my sandwich tastes different from this location compared to all of the rest. From examing the sandwich, the person who made it just put anything in it. I can see where the confusion my have come from because while ordering the four employee were more concerned about their conversation with the fifth employee in the office then to cater to the customers waiting. I would avoid this location.

I recently visited the potbelly in Chatham and the service was horrible first as soon as I walked in I saw an employee wipe her nose and she kept the same gloves on, she was short with glasses and had an earbud in her ear then tried to make my sandwich I stopped her and said thats ok and ordered soup from the register the male manager on duty smirked and walked in the back saying something under his breath to a short lady with dreads and then she started looking in my direction making me feel very uncomfortable I will never go back to that location the next time I want a sandwich I will go to subway

I have ordered from potbellies all over the city because that’s where my job takes me this is the only location where I have ever ordered a wreck and all I got was a buttered bun two pieces of meat one of which is a discolored piece of ham and nothing else for $13!! Same old story Black people, serving Black people still refuse to do s**t right! They didn’t even send me a freaking napkin!!! let alone charged me for all of the original condiments that I ordered on my sandwich!!!!😡

They purposefully make sure if they don't like you to hold your online order and do in store first even if it's after you've ordered online. How professional of them..... you get what you pay for unless you come here. You get less.

This is literally my 2nd time ordering from this place and I have been both times disappointed. They Continuously forget to put things on my sandwiches.. The first time I didn’t really trip but this time was not ok. I called and asked if they were out of these items and he told me no, that they just probably forgot to put them on. ( uhmmmm why is that my fault) Then he (Rico) told me if I wanted a refund I needed to go though the people who delivered my food which is bazaar. I most definitely wouldn’t recommend delivery but dining in may be better.
He told me he was a manager and there’s nothing he can do. He didn’t offer any kind of solution which is fine, I will not give them money again.

The line was long but moved pretty quickly ordered two big turkey sandwiches, chips and a mixed berry smoothie. The berry seeds got in the way...a little too many for my liking I recommend the strawberry banana smoothie if you mind the seeds. The total was about $25 and I forgot to grab the oatmeal chocolate chip or sugar cookies which I love too. Don’t forget to download the potbelly app, the app scanner is at the checkout.

I got here at 9:18pm pulled the door it was locked so I m like ok they close at 10pm then a lady come to the door and say do u got a pick up I say no I m trying to place a order she say online order so now I m sitting in my car and I placed a order just for my order to get done the man bring the food to the door with his gloves still on wipe his nose with his hands while his gloves still on I tell him I don t even want the food no cause that s nasty on top of that I m a manager my self and his manager was standing right there and she didn t say nun

This place is not good at checking orders. They almost alawys leave something out every time I go there. The food is good, but then again, its kind of hard to mess up a deli sandwich. I continue to eat here because it is the only Potbelly restaurant in the neighborhood. I really dislike that we are limited to sub-par service. Please do better.

Hopefully, one day Potbelly App will let you choose your preferred location for delivery. This Chatham location is always dropping the ball on simple orders. Three times in a row my delivery orders was either missing items or just flat out wrong. Not paying attention to detail. Then when you call up to the shop, baby the staff have the nerve to get sassy (now the manager Betty was cool she accommodated me) however the other so called jr managers or shift leads attitudes are very aloof and will have your call on hold too. I had to drive up there because they gave me someone else sandwich, also the Apple Walnut Salad had spoiled meat, no apples due to the fact the manager told me their apples were rotten. Beware if you order a drink or shake it just may not get to you and the staff will blame the delivery drivers. I cant support this location moving forward. I go to the OakLawn location also dont bother going to Evergreen they are rude asl.

The delivery service from this Potbelly is terrible. I have ordered from here three times and two of the times my order has been messed up. Items left off a salad. Item missing from the order. The crazy thing is the list of items that should have been in the order were on the receipt. So there is no reason for the order to have been wrong. Just unacceptable.

Plenty of staff but everyone was crowded in one area and only focused on their station. The young lady that took my order and called out to the stations was thee only person helping me as I moved down the line. The cashier even told me she couldnt answer my questions since shes just a cashier instead of having one of her Co workers come explain one of the items to me. It was my first time in a Potbellys. I was placing orders for non mobile family members. Parking: Limited parking and small lanes.

Customer service does not exist here my food was horrible I drove 25 minutes back to the restaurant for a replacement they told me they couldn t do anything my bread was soggy like it was old overall experience I don t recommend but the one one 111th they don t play that you gone get your money s worth and a great experience

I ordered via doordash a few days ago I called the store and no one answered I have been calling so many times. Very disappointed I ordered sandwiches and they were burned I didn t took pictures since it was horrible to even taste My daughter ate the soups they probably were from the very morning We ordered like around 4 ish pm She was rushed to the er since she was vomiting non stop after she ate the soup Corporate unfortunately isn t the right number I need to Get my money back and more than that My daughter almost died as well

I actually have to take more pictures because that Turkey Swiss sandwich was sooo good and so well put together , and might I add the service was good as well. I was greeted with a smile and they were training a new employee and I wish her the best . Keep up the good work , and Ill most definitely be back for the Wreck sandwich .

So I had potbelly s from this location on Thursday March 24th 2022 I had the turkey sandwich and a Oreo milkshake a couple hours later I take a nap and wake up with severe stomach pain and diarrhea so either the meat was sitting out or somebody hands wasn t clean. I won t be coming back to this location

I only come here because it s in my neighborhood. I hate they take orders through the window. I understand it s bc of crime etc but is that really helping? They definitely use it as an excuse now to leave customers waiting outside for look period of times. How do you take one customer order and then close the window when it s 3 other ppl in line? I swear the guy never came back to the window for 10mins. If I hadn t ordered through the app I would have left.

I really liked this location, but not anymore. I ordered my food and the cashier was handling food with her mask not fully covering her nose. Then shes walking around singing old Macdonald and Bingo. Then to top it off she gives me a shake thats not full to the top saying theres a line in the cup that they have to go up too. Never heard that from any other potbelly that Ive been to.

Customer service is the least of this location s concerns. You can definitely tell there has been a change/turn over in staff because there is a level of rudeness that is completely unnecessary (which was not present pre-pandemic). Most Potbelly locations open in the early mornings, not this establishment. They open at 10am. On 12/27/21, I was welcomed by female staff members at 10:47am shouting, we not open yet! When I asked why if the sign says, you open at 10 am and it s almost 11am? She rolled her eyes and stated, we are just getting here because they had to cut the locks off! She looked at me as if I was wrong for even asking why they were not open. I asked for the number to corporate 3 times and was ignored. Today, during lunch rush the lights cuts off. It was bad enough prior to the light cutting off, most of the focus was not on customers in line, but other orders (assuming preorders or UberEats). There is definitely some retraining that needs to occur in this Potbelly location. It s disappointing that this is how they are treating customers these days!

Do not order food on their Potbelly app. I ordered food on 09/23/21 that had a Apple Walnut salad added to the order. When I received the salad the apples and lettuce was brown. I was told on two occasions they would replace the salad. I even spoke to a manager from the Evergreen Park store who took the call for the manager at the Chatham. They were suppose to refund me for the salad. They never did. I would not recommend this location.

Major disappointment in management! Unfortunately I went to this location tonight and they are having customers stand outside and order food from a window this is not a drive-thru location . This is nothing I have ever experienced at any of the other locations and it clearly sends the wrong message in a predominately black neighborhood. I am happy to provide feedback and update this review if this is addressed and corrected.

Great customer service, but make sure to check your bag before leaving. Check your sandwiches, I ordered a wreck with everything on it and sadly, I have no hot peppers. My sandwich doesn t taste the same. I don t like to complain because they were busy but man oh man my sandwich doesn t taste the same and I was so looking forward to those peppers.

The only thing that this Potbelly s gets right is the shakes. Other than that, every time I order the quality of sandwich s just keeps going down. The sandwich that I got today was mostly lettuce, incredibly dry and it looks like it was tossed around and dug out of the garbage can when it got to me. Mind you I got a mushroom melt that did not have mushrooms. Due to this location being in my neighborhood, I have always tried to support it but today is the last day that I do.

My order said it would be ready at 5:30pm and here I am waiting at 5:45 for my online order. It s at least 5 people waiting for online orders and the sandwich makers are just standing around. First and last experience at this potbelly s. I ve been to many locations and never had this problem. Need a better system in place.

Every time I go to this location I have a terrible experience. 2x I ve been here my order was wrong. Waited 45 minutes to receive my online order. Got home and my order was completely wrong. It s less time ordering in the restaurant. Let the employee know my order and still ended up getting the complete opposite of what I asked for. I give up with this location.

I try to support this location because its in the neighborhood. A better system should be set in place. There should be a team for the delivery/Uber eat and a team for in store customers. I waiting for take out delivery orders before my order was taken and completed.

I placed an online order and it was not ready when I arrived; instead of being apologetic, the staff was very rude and snide in the was they spoke to me and other customers that were also waiting for their online order after the scheduled pick up time. In addition, my food was cold and items were missing when I finally received my order almost an hour later (42 mins to be exact). The only reason, I did not cancel the order was because it was for a group of employees, I prepaid for the order since it was placed online and I did not want to return to work empty handed and they not have lunch for the day. However, the level of disorganization and disrespect was appalling.

I placed my order upon discharge from the hospital for the weekend and it provided a 12:05 pick up, however when my caregiver arrived at 12:02 she did not receive my order and return to the car until 12:28. I counted 12 people who went in and came out myself prior to calling her to ask what was going on. She told me it wasnt ready and the staff had her waiting. She then was in the establishment an additional 12 minutes. Upon returning to the car she informed me the young female cashier remarked that she shouldnt have an attitude, which she rebutted she did had a right to be upset because of all the individuals who had come and gone and her order was supposed to be ready 30 minutes ago. When she asked about additional condiments and needs she curtly responded everything was in the bag. However when I arrived home and opened my bag there was only 2 dressings, no spoon for the soup, the sandwich did not have extra mayo and NO napkins in the bag. I havent checked everything yet as the food is for the entire weekend but so far I am Thoroughly Disappointed and Upset with the service, product and response time. This is unacceptable for my Potbelly experience...not the reputation they have established with me at OTHER locations :(
