Rainbow Beach Sub Shop

This restaurant is truly a gem in the south shore community. I go there every Sunday for breakfast after taking a walk. The owner is so incredibly kind and friendly, and they treat you like family. The food is good and reasonably priced but the lemonade is amazing. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent, owner was incredibly friendly and funny, and the shop was adorable and well priced. Blinds needed to be wiped down, though, but that is the only complaint! Had cute decor and had plenty of space!

This was a wonderful hole-in-the-wall place to find. Food was really good. Lady running the register was funny and we had a blast here. It is an older place, little run down. But, food was fab!!

They were very friendly, food was delicious the cook and cashiers are such pleasant people it’s a hood joint but definitely the place to go they got everything from breakfast to tacos to Italian beef’s and it’s all good too

They are the best! Always have positive attitudes and food is great! Wish more ppl were like them. UPDATE 5/6/24 very good ppl but a gyro PLATE with only 1 pita is wild, and they charged me $20 for 2 cheeseburgers with a egg on top! WILL NOT RETURN.

Been going here for over 20 years. The owner has watched me grow up. Great food great, great atmosphere. Never had an issue here. This is the best local family owned restaurant in this area.

My family have been patronizing this business for the better part of 13 years. It's a quaint dine in/carryout family style restaurant. There are between 13 and 17 tables for dining. The decor is minimal. The parking lot only has slots for five cars but there is ample free parking on nearby streets. There's a single step to gain entry but no ramp for the handicapped. This sub shop is directly across the street from Metra''s electric line. The owner Juluo knows us by name and has ALWAYS provided great customer service from day one. His Mexican dishes are flavorful and filling. My family loves their french toast platter. You get two thick pieces of french toast, cut diagonally, three eggs anyway you like, two link sausages and two pieces of bacon. We also like their corn beef and roast beef skillet platter. It comes with two eggs, toast. The corn/roast beef is cut thinly and mixed with a heaping amount of hashbrowns. We've eaten just about every dish offered and the consistency of fresh, hot food they've served us after all these years, is why we keep coming back. The prices are affordable. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite.

I love the french fries here! So thin and crispy! Yum! The food is ALWAYS FRESH AND DELICIOUS! You can get breakfast and lunch all day! Very nice people. They are a small business so give them time to cook your order! Calling in ahead helps if you are short on time. Tip the cashier! She's a VERY HARD WORKER! Very tasty food! Explore the menu.

Worst experience I've ever had. Me and my women went here for breakfast, first off they didn't give us no menus. We ordered the (So call) Breakfast Special the server didn't tell us what we was getting she was just adding on to the bill. We get our food and the bacon and sausage was Cold to the core ! The bacon was precook (Off the shelf) then we asked for some Hot sausage and bacon and it looked like they just threw it on the flattop and sprinkle some grease on it to make it seem hot. We get the coffee it was in dirty cups. The food was So bad we gave our food to a homeless guy that was sitting next to us. I don't understand why it's so hard to make simple breakfast. The sausage had no taste at All ! So we get the bill and it's 40 dollars. For a breakfast special and i don't see why the waiter couldn't guide us threw a simple breakfast special. I get the bill I Couldn't even read it. Only think I see is 40 dollars. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he wasn't the owner lol we leave the restaurant and I felt sick to my stomach threw up. I never write reviews but I had to on this Horrible Place. Should of just went to McDonald's to eat breakfast. NEVER go eat here I have learned my lesson. AND HEED MY WARNING I'M WARNING Y'ALL

Had the 2 beef tacos with fries and pop special. I added in the blue raspberry lemonade to my order. The fries were shoestring fries, they were good - nothing special. They weren't soggy that's a plus. The tacos were ok, not much seasoning, as well as, the beef was questionable. The lemonade wasn't sweet and watered down. It stopped my hunger so it did the job.

Nice place for a quick carryout or to sit down and relax, the food is great and the staff is polite, the prices are reasonable compared to their competitor L&G and the place is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this establishment.

The food was tasty, I had a BLT wirh fries although I would have preferred soup. The tables and floors were clean. There is a small parking space which could hold about 5/6 cars. There was a restroom but I didn't use it.

Omg I love their breakfast. I always gets the breakfast special for $6.99. It includes 2 pancakes or French toast, 2 pcs of bacon, 2 pcs of sausage link (so good but I get patties instead), and eggs. The pancakes are to die for.! They melt in your mouth like butter. They also give you plenty of napkins and syrup. The service is always respectful and kind. And they’re clean!
