You know why you came. If you are in this area visiting this is a great step on the locals guide for Chicago eats. Super clean, fast and friendly workers. This place takes cards which is a blessing, though there is an ATM on the inside. If you’re looking this place up, you’re familiar with the neighborhood. You’re safe. It’s just the (neighbor)hood.
The strawberry cake was ehhh. Outside of that. It’s one of my spots.

It's Friday and I wanted some fish. I went to this location and was TOTALLY disappointed. The fish was wet when it was cooked and not completely cooked. Will NOT visit this location anymore.

I was given the wrong order twice!

The food here used to be up to par, but now they've decided that the Customer is not to be respected or treated like a paying customer. I ordered A Philly Steak Sandwich Meal, that comes with French fries and a can of soda. What I received was small amount of fries for a meal and the sandwich was beyond belief!!

I've added a photo of what I received from them.... It looks as if they smeared some meat on the bread with no toppings! 🫥

The wings were old and dry and barely any meat on them... The catfish and the other fish didn't look exciting at all... They were out of all the other dishes that I wanted to try...
The one cool thing about them was the drive thru window thing it spun around and your food actually fit thru the window

They definitely sold me left over food. Fries taste like they been sitting for a hour. Fish was good but definitely was sitting it lost all its crisp and they literally just pulled the spaghetti out the fridge and gave it to me. It doesn’t even have a date on when it was prepared. Don’t go here. Spaghetti definitely came out of a can. I know canned spaghetti when I smell it.

They cook your fish fresh , CAT fish is very very good, My step son moved to the Southside and was saying he's putting on weight, I told him it was all those carbs, This location probably best I've been to if you want Cat Fish , right off the Highway at 43rd street just go a little East, very safe and very good , again they cook it fresh which is nice 👍

The chicken is always good. If you get two 10-piece chicken they will put it in one big pan unless you say something. Also if your meals come with a drink and you have more than one order make sure you have all the drinks before you leave. But the food will not disappoint.

Food not to bad at all. The problem I have is sometimes you can taste the old oil your food is fried in Snh. But the real problem I have is with the employees that take your order. There's a heavy set black woman that works at the front register at times that has some very very nasty attitude unless you're flirting with her. The second is that the young man and the heavier lady lied to you about giving you something so little as extra mile sauce. The little guy at the register will tell you in your face that he has your back and will give you extra even if you're offering to pay more you will lie in your face and give you standard too now I'm saying this because I order large meals and two mild sauces and two hot sauces just aren't going to do it. I literally live two blocks away. So be cautious if you buy anything of a large quality because you will have to stop off at your local store and get you more sauces so you don't choke on your food. Hope you enjoy.

They are selling Swai Fish as catfish This is a very cheap fish $1.00 -$1.99 lb
The taste is similar but Swai is very tender and that’s the reason they only sell large orders in fillets and not steak cut

Great customer service. My door dasher ate the food I ordered but the restaurant remade the food quickly and it was good. I have previously ordered from them and everything had always been fresh and hot.

I have allergies. Said no lemon pepper. Got my order only to see lots of lemon pepper. Went back to J &J Fish & the lady she did heard me say that. They have in red a note that states if you don't want lemon pepper let them know. 😏 I watch as she gave the food back to the cook, he put the fish back in the fryer, got a new carry out, put fries in, then put the same fish back in it. When I asked why are you giving me the same fish? He said refrying kills the lemon pepper. I asked for my money back. 🤔🫣😱 FOR REAL.???

Food was great. However they didn’t include the sauces that I requested with my order. When I asked for the error to be corrected the manager told me that I would have to wait an hour for the sauce. GM’s phone number didn’t even have a voicemail setup.
