Ross Dress for Less

The cleanliness and organization of the store looks nothing like the commercials. It is possible to find some good deals on quality items but I recommend you do your research and exam the products thoroughly. I saw a Big Joe chair for the same price as in non-discount stores AND it was quite dirty and lacking the firmness as if it was previously used. Finally, the bathroom was disgusting.

I'm taking the time to review a place I feel indifferent towards to highlight potential areas of improvement within the store while objectively appreciating the unique finds available at this location. The name of the store is Ross Dress for Less. Upon some research, I noticed this store is one of many; a successful chain, indeed. Upon entry, I immediately noted long lines and several registers with swiftly-moving employees scattered about. Considering the volume of people within the store, I half-heartedly hoped the experience would be one-in-a-million. I was disappointed; not sorely, but enough to document. First and foremost, what a disorganized floor plan. There wasn't much that allowed for a comfortable, relaxed shopping experience. Additionally, Ross offers a small selection of unappealing jewelry at an unfair price. I am aware of the budgetary limitations many people face, especially when it comes to purchasing jewelry. This is something I am particularly sensitive towards when evaluating customer appeal within a shop. Many items retailed, particularly baby clothes and adult shoes, were set at such an unaffordable price for the everyday shopper with fiscal constraints, I almost walked out. The fact Ross was not well-maintained also made it difficult to navigate. Not kid-friendly in the slightest. Ironically, I dug through clearance sections and found a few red-sticker items of high quality, for a fair price. My recommendation? Shop wisely, stick to clearance, and uphold your budget before all else at Ross. Not all that glitters is gold.

Went there this morning to pick up an item that we also got at another ross. When I got there all the lights were on so I went to the door. It was locked, called inside to be told that she was the only one there. Thank will be open at 9:00 when the staff shows. Hours say 7:00. Not a good way to run a store!!!!

We had a very bad experience here with one of the cashiers: an African-American lady, possibly in her late sixties or early seventies with dark auburn hair and glasses. I do not have a name for her as her name tag was stripped of its name- perhaps so she wouldn’t get reported for her crappy behavior. She was very rude and condescending towards both me and my mom- she got very defensive when we called out the store for improperly pricing an item my mom had purchased. She then proceeded to be very rude towards me when I walked up to buy my items, speaking towards me in a very aggressive manner. We are extremely disappointed by this behavior and will not be returning to this store ever again.

Manager who just went to a conference call at 3:30 on Monday 3-18-24 needs to move to employees. The way I hear her treat them I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to work here.

Came today April 14th and Brenda the store manager can’t say hello to customers. The way she talked to employees was VERY unprofessional. Today was my last visit to this store.

One of my favorite ROSS stores to shop. Great layout on the inside of the store, everything is very organized, clean and all clothes are categorized which makes it easier to find things that you’re looking for. Always great and unique selections to shop from. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Honestly, I think the store manager terrorizes the employees (and I've noticed this at more than one Ross location). The employee seemed genuinely scared to return my item (though it was legitimately within their return policy guidelines)

This location doesn’t have much variety, and their customer service is not the best. Checking out takes way too long even if it’s not busy. The younger folks do an alright job.

Didn't like the dressing room situation. Closed dressing rooms in back have to use the ones up front. The wait was longer than I wanted to, so we left. I see they're doing that in all of their stores. Not good!

I was hungry for waffles. So I ordered only 1 item today > Waffles WITHOUT powdered sugar. The server brought the waffle with powdered sugar. I brushed the sugar off and ate them. It was delicious. When I finished my waffles I put my face mask on and waited over 10 minutes for my server to return with the check. I looked around and did not see her. I got up and informed the hostess. The hostess checked me out. I guess my server didn't think I deserve service since I only ordered 1 item from the menu.

So limited and understaffed. Went last night and stood in line for 32 minutes while the poor gentleman cashier asked for cashier help three times. No one ever came to help him. I honestly thought that he might be the only employee in the store, but I called the store while waiting in line and a woman named Barb answered and I asked if she knew that the cashier was struggling and customers were walking out. She said "thanks for letting me know, honey". I was shocked to find something to buy in the first place with the super bare shelves, but then I still walked out with nothing. That poor cashier needs an award - this was at about 6pm on 6/29/2022.

What can I say But Ross has great deals on everything they sell!!! Very nice people work there also!!! Well managed location always very clean and the prices I love 💕💕💕 this store for name brand clothing !!! Shoes ,housewares , I also love the cologne section also huge bottle of Ck1 very cheap almost half price!¡!! The lady manager is very nice to all the coustomers if line gets long she jumps behind the counter to help out !!!!! Thank you Ross!!! 5 stars for sure!!!!!!!

I've been coming here for years no issues but today I was waiting for a good 20-30 mins in line while the cashier took her sweet time with a specific customer. I dont know if they knew each other or not but it was clear there was some biases bc they both were Spanish speaking. Ironically the women before me were also Spanish speaking and again the cashier gave them special attention. The line grew long while this was happening and I asked her if there was anyone else to ring people out and she very rudely cut me off and said she was alone. It was a lie since there were 2 associates merchandising near by. When she finally got me, there was no pleasantries, she went straight to checking me out. I know probably nothing will happen but I needed to put this out there.

I'm gonna assume their trucks have been delayed many times & or suffered from lack of staffing due to covid. Despite the store looking like they had marked everything down to a quarter & almost sold-out of everything; the cashier was very welcoming & what was left in the shelf and racks was neat.

The staff was friendly and helpful... Of course the prices was affordable because it is "Ross". Nevertheless, they had a wide variety of great brand names and styles. This store was very clean and organized as well.
