Visited 9/9/24. Check expiration dates!
I was at the gym next door and wanted to grab half and half so I didn't have to make another stop at the grocery store.
I entered 10 minutes before close, the girl at the front made sure I understood this. I quickly grabbed a half&half, paid, and left. This morning I notice the product is almost three weeks expired when it curdled my coffee.
Unfortunately I opted for no receipt, as I was in a hurry, and had no intention of returning a perishable item.
Check any food product you plan to purchase. If there's expired dairy, more than likely there's other expired products.

The lady with the red box braids was rude and agressive towards my 15 year old friend. We walked to the dollar tree after going to the gym, she tried to use the tap to pay and pressed the green button yet it canceled so she had to retry it. The lady then looks at her and slams her hand, and looked at my friend while my friend tried to retap it, the lady then yelled at her to press the green button when it says enter the pin. My friend was nervous but knew how to work it, it just didn't work the first time she did. After that it went through successfully, the lady then aggressively taps the screen and shoves the receipt towards my friend while looking away. The problem was that she was impatient and instead of waiting she decided to give an attitude even though it only took us around 40 seconds to pay, not only that but the way she looked at us was by tilting her head, frowning her eyebrows and rolling her eyes. If she can't be patient for 40 seconds and decides to be mad over a small inconvenience then I don't think being a casher is to her interest.

Updated:Always say they are "out of helium". This is not true. They just do not wish to fill balloons. I saw them tell a customer, then 5 minutes later went back and filled balloons. Take the balloons down and stop selling them. Place is dirty, disorganized, and run down. It used to be a good place.
Staff is friendly. Used to be cleaner and more organized. They may be short staffed.
Been "out of helium" for months, almost a year now.

I stopped at this store for a couple things. I usually go to Lombard store. This store was nasty, it looked as if a tornado went through it, it felt dirty, and unorganized. Not goin there again, I'll stick to the Lombard store.

This store has really gone downhill. It kinda matches the mall slum lord atmosphere.
I only ever see 1 employee, she is super friendly and the only person I ever see in the store. I NEVER see anyone working on the floor just a cashier.
The merchandise sits around in boxes and in carts. The shelves look as tho the stuff is just tossed into an available hole. The card selection is small and seems never to be refreshed. A vendor was working the cards once, but she moved slower than a 92-year-old grandmother.
Food products, please check your dates, there is no way they are keeping up with food date rotation.
This is the smallest store I've seen, was excited it was here, but I am officially going back to the one at 75th/Lemont.
It's clean, organized, huge card selection, Many employees and it's busy and still neat and stocked shelves.
.
MY OLD REVIEW BELOW
This store is usually messy, it's like they have 2 people working at a time. One maybe a manager/supervisor/owner and 1 cashier. There's usually freight on the floor all the time and it never appears the store is faced.
The staff is usually very friendly so that's a plus
Today, 082423, they appear to be going thru a total planogram reset, so lots of stuff everywhere and actual people working, but they could be a reset/ planogram team.
Card selection was very limited, and the cards are now 1.25 each. Hallmark said 2 for 1 but minimum selection.
Nothing I purchased was $1, so that's a thing of the past.
They appear to be bringing in more kitchen wear pretty interesting. I actually saw parmesan cheese shakers.
It's nice having one local.....

I am appaled by this store. The staff have been rude every time I've gone. Today was my final straw, I was kicked out and told to come back another day because one of the workers whom looked very unprepared for the work day/previously irritated "saw something in my pocket" and assumed I was going to steal (ps: it was samples from target) And yes, I did tell and show her what it was in my pocket. She then went on to brag to her coworkers about how "nobodys stealing on her watch". I assume shes a manager of some sort because she referred to the store as her store.
I am also not the first person to notice the staffs attitudes apparently.
A few days prior to this incident, her two coworkers who in contrast are always very dolled up, ran a red light and almost ran over me and my partner while crossing the street?! This also brought up concerns as to whether or not its safe being on the street with these women running amok?! My only problem with this store is the staff, otherwise it's a joy to be there. In my old age I have never met women so disrespectful. It was honestly funny, because they are so clueless of the world ahead of them. Such rude young ladies!!!

Dollar and a Quarter Tree never disappoints. Even if you don't find what you came for, you'll find something you didn't know you needed.

Dollar trees are dollar trees, but this one is constantly disheveled and out of stock of items. The one at 75th and Lemont in the middle of the strip mall with the Best Buy is far superior.

I love going into this Dollar Tree. The shelves are packed. They always have what I need. Only complaint I have is that one time I came in and they had so many balloons to choose from and no helium. :( I went into the store today and they had helium but only 1 Happy Birthday balloon . So I asked for 5 of the same balloon. I told the nice lady who was helping me today it was discouraging. I was just annoyed. I hope in the future they have helium and many balloons to choose from.

this was the first time going to this location, and i am definitely going to come back again, my mom and i went this afternoon. my mom recently got out of the hospital for getting 2 1/2 of her toes removed, she’s been wanting to go to the dollar tree now that she’s in her boot, and she LOVES the fall decorations. during our shopping trip she starting to feel nausea from overworking herself (and wearing a thick sweater) so i went to give her my keys so she can sit in my car and i can check out. i will admit i had a lot of stuff to buy, but the cashier was really nice to me and we actually had decent small talk. i read her name tag but i am blanking on the name, she’s an african american woman with beautiful blonde streaks in her hair (after seeing too i think they’re twins working there). she was asking if my mom was alright and if there was anything she or anyone else could do. it honestly made me feel really safe that a stranger would help out my mom and i in this situation. thank you for having wonderful employees at this store, it honestly was a blessing. i will come back soon :)

Packed and full aisles. Clean as well. Only issue was the employee talking about having to apply a cream to her private parts cause she slept with a guy named Derek and he sleeps around a lot. She had her cell phone earpiece in and was talking loudly to her friend while putting away stock in the aisles. Completely oblivious to what she was doing or where she was. She even talked about how big his manhood was and that she went down on him several times last night but ended up getting syphillis.

While this location is cleaner than most, it always has ridiculous lines. Everytime I come, it is an "off" time and there is only 1 person on register. I am currently in line with 6 people in front of me and 4 behind me. The other 2 employees feel like stocking shelves is more important!
