Bizarre experience yesterday. I brought some golf clubs in to sell. When I saw the man behind the counter and said hello he did not respond. I said I had some clubs to sell and he said they were old before he looked at them. I showed him the two that were lightly used and were 3 years old and at a very slight glance he said he did not want them. Then he apologized to me as if he knows I did nothing wrong and he is just lazy or stupid?

DON'T go here for Pickleball shoes. Dick's Sporting Goods posted that the shoes are available at this location.
The 2 companies need to get their online information together, so it may be true for all shared products.
I wasted my time going here for something they don't carry and probable never have.
The 2 guys chatting by 1 rack, the other 3 chatting in the womens area by and the person at the register with his back facing me didn't seem to care, I was even in the store.

Came here to get back into golf, followed around by 2-3 people who didn’t offer help while I was there - presumably because I don’t look like their normal clientele. Spent $400, won’t shop here again. Cool shoe area though

They pulled the ole' bait and switch on me, and when I called them they basically told me too bad, not even an apology. Story:

I checked their website on the price of trading in a set of irons. I then called the store and spoke to someone who said that is the "mid quality" price and if they are as good as I say they are then he can go higher.

When I get to the store, they quoted me $30 LESS than what the website says. Only after them checking the website did they agree to give me the additional $30. I said that's not what I was told on the phone, I was told you could go higher, because these are brand new minus the plastic, so I can trade these in towards a new driver.

The store manager was nice enough, hence 2 stars instead of 1, but he refused to honor what I was told on the phone (bait and switch) and had no answer for why the website mid quality price would be $30 higher than their in-store system price (bait and switch).

They may have a nice store and pleasant staff, but this was such a waste of an hour of my day, and such an off putting experience that I will never be a Golf Galaxy customer again.

I love this place. Just tried the new Callaway Rogue Max Irons. Absolutely amazing. Anyone could hit with these!

Update: Greg did an amazing job with my fitting, as he advised against unnecessary club cuttings. All that was really needed was new gripping. 🙏🏾

This was my first experience at a Golf Galaxy. I have been a long time customer of the PGA Superstore but they were sold out in Vessel bags.
I went here looking for a bag and wanted to try the new Titleist irons. Customer service was subpar, the one young lady did greet me after about 20 minutes of walking around, though. The old guy around the club fitting equipment seemed like he did not want to be there. I asked to hit a certain iron with any type of stiff shaft. He said, "sure, you can hit a couple balls for free". Seemed like he wanted to charge me to demo a club for more than 'a couple balls'? There was literally not one person on the driving range hitting into the net. Maybe 10 people in the entire store. Strange.
I will stick with the PGA Superstore. They let me try several clubs hitting more than 'a couple balls' for free.

I was very pleased with my visit to Golf Galaxy. I was immediately greeted by John. He was very patient in helping me find a new putter and 5-wood. He suggested a toe hang putter, which felt much more comfortable to me, after I kept missing on the same side of the cup. He also used the simulator to find the correct 5-wood head to adjust to my open club face and right-to-left swing path. He even gave me some free swing tips in the process. I was previously at the PGA Superstore down the block and was not approached by a single employee after looking at clubs for 30 minutes. I appreciated the amazing customer service at Golf Galaxy.

A shout out to clubfitter Myron. He worked with me on the purchase of a Ping driver and a fairway metal. I wanted to try that brand and particular models, and he did not try to change my mind. He did not push a sale. Although he has to know details of many different club brands, he knew Ping well and tried several different clubhead and shaft combinations before finding one that was the obvious choice for me. But he didn’t try to close the sale right away. He let me ask for other clubs to try, until I asked to come back to that one great combination. He let me sell myself on the clubs. And days later I remain very happy with the purchase. The rest of the store staff, manager Andrew, front counter people, etc. were very welcoming too. I purchased a wedge here too a few years ago. Different salesman but same good service. This is a good golf store.

I ordered a $450 putter and grip. It arrived Saturday and i wanted to put the grip on Sunday. I got out of work at 5:30 and made it there before close at 5:50 (they close at 6). I was not greeted just glared at like i was not supposed to be there so late. I asked if i could get a grip put on my putter and the one man said “yeah i guess i’ll do it.” I ended up leaving and checked my receipt and they charged me for 30 minutes of simulator range time instead of a golf grip installment (which should be free). I should have stuck with the pga superstore but i wanted to give golf galaxy a shot because pga superstore is always so busy. Now I see why.

These 5 stars go straight to Myron! I am from Aurora and would only go to Lombard/Downers area when I previously worked near by. I was back in town getting my car serviced and gotten a ride over to Golf galaxy to kill some time, wasn't expecting much or wanting to buy anything. Well, I was met with Myron, asked how I was doing and if i needed help. I asked him about driver shafts and was given so much advise on what to go with. Even offered to work with me on a fitting. Spent a solid 10-15 mins just chatting with Myron on what I could do to better my game. Even gave me insight on what Irons i should switch to since I am still using my dads old wilson musclebacks. Props to Myron, it was great talking with someone that has such a passion for the game! When ever i decide to come in for a fitting, I will for sure be requesting to work with him!

I would not recommend club fitting services at this location. This season I needed to update my irons. I scheduled an appointment at golf galaxy and was excited for the experience. I planned on purchasing my irons from there so that the fitting fee could be applied to the purchase. Once I was there I waited in a bay for about 30 minutes before someone was assigned. I primarily wanted to hit titleist and Taylor made however the person assigned to me focused on other brands. At the end when I asked about follow up, the fitter informed me that this was his last day so he wouldn’t be able to help me after that day and that he was going to be working for a golf course going forward and I could stop by there to see him. Ultimately the experience was awful which resulted in me needing to go elsewhere and pay another fitting fee. When asked if I could receive a refund or store credit for the fitting ,the customer service rep stopped responding . I would not recommend going to this location for a fitting for new clubs.

Shocking lack of customer service. Came in on a Sunday a little after 11am and it was understandably busy looking to buy a driver, putter, and range finder. Not a single employee approached us or offered to help. After selecting a driver, one employee directed me where to take a few practice swings but no one came around to set me up even though a bay was open. After about 15 minutes, my husband approached an elderly member of the staff working in the “right” area and he said “you need to find someone to help you but that’s not me. Not now.” There was no insight to what the wait time was or guidance to another staff member. It was a waste of 30 minutes.

Horrible customer service.

I called to see if they offered gapping analysis, and was told they don't offer that specific type of fitting but they can try and match a competitor's offering.

Wasn't able to make it in the same day, so I called again the next day to see if they had times available. The gentleman I talked to on the phone seemed annoyed that he had to take the call, but after some back and forth, he told me they can do a Wedge Fitting and include what I need. I told him I'm 45 mins away, and asked if I could reserve a spot. He said they do fittings on a first come, first serve basis, and that I might need to wait for a fitter to open up. Okay, no problem.

When I got to the store, I believe I talked to the gentleman who answered my call, as he knew exactly what I was talking about. He told me their fitters we're currently busy and that I would have to wait 30-45 mins. Okay, no problem. I then asked how will I know when it's my turn, and he said they would come find me. As my mind started to contemplate how the heck they would find me, I asked if he wanted my name and number so they can call me. He reluctantly agreed and gave me paper to write my name down. That was the last I heard from them.

Can't believe that's the type of person they let run the store. I had much better service at the PGA Store across the street.

I had high hopes for this place. I thought maybe they would actually help you when you come to the store or at least greet you... But just like PGA Superstore down the street its the same old same old... I went in today to hopefully re-grip my clubs. Today is Tuesday and I got in at around noon. I saw at least three employees. None of them greeted me or asked if i wanted help. Even after they finished with the customer they were working with. I stood by the grips in the store for around 10-15 minutes thinking someone would maybe ask if i needed help or at least make eye contact with me and i could ask them. I'm assuming nobody makes commission or anything in this place and I assume they could care less if you actually make a purchase. One of the employees did loudly complain to the other about how many customers he had up there(2, there were two customers).

Was not pushy just really wanted to make sure I was comfortable. They did not have a lot of inventory of club sets but I have heard that is common these days. I came in on a whim after having had a few days of striking the ball well, and I wanted to get a feel for a few different irons. Kent hooked me up and was extremely patient, even though I couldn't seem to find my groove. If you're reading this Kent, rest assured I know those shanks were on me, not the clubs lol. When I get more consistent, he'll be the first person I go to for a fitting I trust to work for me.

Got my clubs regripped as a gift from my girlfriend, I asked the employee if he could add tape wraps to make it a midsize (color wasnt available in midsize). When I first got the clubs back I thought they seemed okay but as I played more it felt like every grip was completely different. Some were midsize and some were regular and some were not close to either. On top of that my 7/8/9 and PW and are misaligned with the grips. They are recognizably off center. Seems like the people regripping may not know exactly what they are doing. Been going to the PGA superstore since (this isnt my 1st or even 2nd bad experience with this golf galaxy) and I definitely recommend them over this store.
