This store is very well organized and clean. All employees were friendly. There are attractive seasonal and color coordinated displays. A cashier named Jon Paul was extremely helpful, he carefully wrapped all glass and explained their current pricing policy. (I’ve been to other Goodwills that don’t wrap anything.)

I do like this Goodwill location, however like any goodwill, you have to be prepared for mild dirtiness and a chaotic environment. I typically find quality items here for myself and in the home section. It’s definitely in my rotation of goodwills!

It's so nasty it's so dirty I used to go to this goodwill because it was cleaner then the one closer to my house...but ever since it's like they kept putting more piles into the clothing instead of taking some off...I used to work here and I always always took clothes off and put them in the back and I would keep doing that till it's not crowded at all...now it's like the clothes is super crowded where I can't even shop there get the clothes I want...like come on when I noticed it i would take clothes off and put them in the back it's always so much clothes and it's so better...like if it's yellow the half off prices then I would take green and blue off something like that...it's just ridiculous...then the prices like god damn idk where they got the prices from now..it's so ridiculous amount and I never like it because a "coach" bag would be like 100 dollars but guess what it's fake...they should do that better at least but come on clean better...when I used to work here it was alot better but now it sucks

I never shop there, I only come to donate items. All of the employees that come out always look like they hate their jobs. If they didn’t like it, maybe they should go to school and work hard to get a better life.

They tagged a pair of pants and when I was checking out the guy said oh this Brand is more money and told me he wouldn't give them to me at the sticker price. That's not cool.
Also this store has all their items marked up in prices. It's cheaper to go to the goodwill in Lemont or Romeoville.

They have a great selection at this location, especially high end items! Just be aware-it’s still a goodwill-it’s always packed, tight aisles, stuff EVERYWHERE. But, for the price, it’s worth the trip

Review №14

As others have indicated, this store is gross. Goodwills CEO makes six figures a year, and yet still sells higher end donations on the website for profit. (A minuscule fraction of their proceeds actually go to charity.) What isn’t filtered out by that process is picked over by resellers. What remains is a graveyard of junk. Not to mention the horrific “air freshener” they blast into the store. I truly feel bad for the employees who have to smell it all day and no doubt leave with the smell imbedded in their clothes and hair.

Goodwill is a great place to go thrifting and finding the hidden gem clothing. This location is especially good because they organize the clothes into specialty rails. You can find more good brand and quality names faster! Save you time and money! Very good management style :)

New management as of December, 2022 turned this location into an overpriced junk store. It is unorganized, dirty looking, and completely over-priced. Display cases that once offered vintage collectibles and antiques are GONE! I was told by an employee that those items are now sold on Goodwill's website. The filtered merchandise that is sold in the store is comparable to a low end garage sale where you find pure, broken junk.

Goodwill has the audacity to ask customers to donate more at the register plus they no longer provide bags for your purchase. I wonder how far greedy corporate will go?? Seems the CEO just can't fill his pockets fast enough! You lost me as a customer and I am sure many more will follow.

This goodwill like all the other ones in the dupage area sucks. They don't have anything good at any of them anymore because they've taken all the good stuff and made it so you can purchase it online. It used to be nice going to goodwill and now even if you find something decent it's way overpriced. Their really just trying to make as much money as they can for stuff that's donated. Don't waste you're time going here trust me. Eventually they're going to have no customers coming to the stores and are going to go out of business I guarantee it. I don't even waste my time donating there anymore.

They should have a spot where u gotta show ur link card to get the deals. Leave it for the people struggles who actually need it like the single moms and people living check by check on minimum wage

Whoever is charge for the Good will policy is taking advantage of poor people. You get free stuff and selling it for your own benefit, and this is not humane at all.

After leaving Willowbrook Goodwill, I was hopeful for my next experience, Downers Grove. Unfortunately, they were no different....actually a little more blunt which made it a little more disgusting. I walked in 6ft from a Caucasian gentlemen and the greeter spoke and greeted him and said nothing to me. Then I said ok, leaving out, I'll give him another chance. I was once again hopeful and in the same thought disappointed. He gave salutationsions to the woman behind me but not me. I'm noticing, the areas where tbere are a low percentage of African Americans, they're less friendly. Very dissappointed

I’ve been shopping from here for years. Have donated THOUSANDS of dollars of things because I wanted to support their mission but all that will change after tonight. There was a child’s swim shirt that had stains all over it and was faded that didn’t have a price tag on it. All the other swim shirts in the other sizes were running from $2.99-3.99. So I took it up to the counter to pay for it thinking it would be $3.99 max! An extremely nice worker called the manager and she looked over the shirt and said it would be $4.99 for a USED old ratty swim shirt. I pointed out the stains and the wear and she didn’t budge on how redicusoly over price she wanted for that shirt. There is no way I’m paying that for a used shirt. I come to the goodwill because we are on an extremely tight income and to clothe 4 kids gets extremely expensive. I can buy a NEW swim shirt for the same price at Walmart. They lost my business, my donations and my support over a lowsy dollar. Well done greedy manage girl!! I will NOT be back!

When they opened they were decent, but now they exaggerated on marking the FREE donations items almost like retail stores. Dollar Store items are $2.99. I’ve had several incidents at this locations where I stopped going again. I bought a sofa. Paid for it and was ready to go to the side so they can put it in my truck. Five minutes later manager came up to me and said she can’t give me the sofa because someone accidentally took the tag and was walking around the store with it because she was going to buy it. She literally took me inside and refunded me the money. It was un heard of. Shame on this location and Management.
