First time here. Had their hamburger and onion rings and draft beer, all very good. The bartender was very friendly. Available to watch several tvs, dart boards, and pool tables. Recommend you stop here for a bite and drink.

Have been going here for over a decade. Has always been a great local bar, but now their food under the new owner is fantastic! Their burgers and wings are top-notch, the latter being the best in town imo. They have like 30 different sauces/dry rubs you can put on them, with many being made in-house! Might be a little busy, but it's definitely worth the wait!

We ordered the hot wings with a Raspberry jalapeño sauce that were to die for. We will be coming back again. Mondays are $1 wings.

Best bar in Dubuque, hands down. Very relaxed atmosphere. Food is SO GOOD! Unique and classic wing sauces, and dry rubs that give most places a run for their money( steakhouse rub, hot bbq, and sweet hot mustard are all 12/10, SO GOOD!!!). Honestly, the entire menu is fantastic from Carmichaels to Quesadillas.

Dusty has done a great job of expanding the floor space, setting up tables and yet keeping the atmosphere of the Dog House Lounge.

Absolutely love this place! It is one of the many reasons we come back to Dubuque every year! I am, however, slightly disappointed that they held an extra $40 pre-authorization charge for SEVEN DAYS after the post-tip charge went though…..not very cool.

The expanded menu is good, bartenders are friendly. Great place to just chill with family and friends. They have lots of TV’s, pool tables, darts, jukebox with great sound system and slots plus they have a private party room. Currently in the process of remodeling so the best is yet to come. Open everyday of the year from 11 am to 2 am.

Food was pretty solid and every was nice and hot out of the fryer. Bartender was a bit not unfriendly per se just not really personable. Atmosphere is nice depending on the clientele. When I went it was filled with pretty trashy people so that was a knock against it. They serve food pretty much right up until they close so a great spot for a late night bite and brew.

Food is pretty darn good for bar food. Atmosphere is neighborhood bar with Norm at the corner of the bar. Sports on and old Hams sign with a faint neon glow hangs over the bar.

Dog house seems like it's always busy and yes, even busier on a Friday or Saturday night. Friendly bartenders, plenty of t.v.'s to watch sports. Draft beer prices are a little steeper than what I'm used to but sometimes it's worth it if you want to be someplace with more socializing.

For about 5 dollars, one of the best burgers you can get, period. Got the Carmichael, their signature burger with LTOP added. Some of the juiciest beef I've had in a burger in ages. Toppings were simple and strictly ok, but I can't complain too much for the price point. Cheese mix added to it well and really elevated it. Fries were admittedly pretty mediocre, unseasoned and kinda soggy. But they gave me free ranch, which was ok, as well as nacho cheese sauce, which tasted just like you'd imagine. Overall vibe was quite cozy and fun. They stick to the theme well and keep it comfortable. Service was excellent too, which elevates it otherwise from a 4 star. Would highly recommend for a burger and/or brews at a great price point! Will definitely be back for the weekend.

A great local place. My son and I visited Iowa to see the field of dreams game. Our motel attendant told us to go to "The Dog House" for some great wings and cold beer.
It was exactly as she described.
We both got the Hot wings and some cheese curds. Both very good. I would recommend The Dog House if you find yourself in Debuque Iowa

A local bar/restaurant with a casual, friendly vibe. It was Easter Sunday and every restaurant we tried was closed. We took a wrong turn (we're from out of town) and stumbled upon the Dog House, which was open and serving food, thank goodness! The bartender David was just great and the laughs we had with him made our night! The drinks and food were just what we needed, especially the steak sandwich. If you're in Dubuque and want a low-key, casual evening, I definitely recommend The Dog House!

My daughter and I had the same experience as a lady did a year ago. Went for lunch on Friday. The bartender seen us walk in, I asked where would you like us to sit? Only one other person in the resturant. She said anywhere. We sat there for 15 minutes. Within that 15 minutes two other people walked ina t separate times and was served drinks. We left. Very rude.
