Walked over to the gun counter was just browsing, gentleman didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. He clearly seen me looking into the counter, but never once offered any assistance or offered to answer any questions. I went in to buy some work pants , had four or five pairs I wanted to try on that I really liked. Absolutely nobody would answer the assistance button to let you in the dressing room, you’re not selling clothes because nobody can try them on. Absolutely ridiculous you put an assistance button three times and nobody ever responds. Don’t blame the bad economy on your poor sales. Blame your lack of employees, have a better business model and you might sell more items. Lady up at the customer service desk had 10 people waiting to return stuff with no help, and one checker struggling to get everybody through. I do not feel sorry for company like this that are filing for bankruptcy. You’re doing it to yourself, profits over people. Well I guess I can just buy them on Amazon and if I don’t like them, they’ll take them back for free. Send me another pair or two to try on.

I had a great experience. I was shopping online for shoes. I found a pair at Theisen's that I had been wanting. They aren't really common shoes that are too many places. Theisen's had the shoes for $40 less than another much larger company! Shipping was very fast! I ordered it at night, the next morning it shipped, the next day it was here. The shoes are great. Thank you for providing a good product for a very fair price with very fast shipping. If only everything in life went so well. 😆

Easy to notice location off of Dodge Street with ample parking. Store is clean and well laid out; not overwhelming. They carry a huge variety of items as you can see in some of my photos. Prices are comparable to other similar stores. They also offer (the BEST) free popcorn while you shop. Purchase gardening soil? Drive up outside and they load it for you.

Helpful people. Nice selection of merchandise. Prices R
reasonable. However, lots of merchandise/items R extremely dusty and dirty. Kind of a huge turn off to buy from there bc of that fact. I usually only buy my dogs and cats food there. Also get my Bob's Bitchin' BBQ sauce there as well as our dill pickles. Not much else.

The custmer service from 5-6 associates we awesome. If you need something they lead you to it with a friendly smile. This is unheard of in this retail environment.

Always a pleasure to shop locally. Stopped to pick out a few more vegetable plants for my garden and they always seem to have the variety I am looking for. Did you know there are burpless cucumbers!

What bad service this store has. We were looking for water glue when a man arrived and told us that if we didn't need anything we should not leave the safe place since we are Hispanic, he treated us badly as if we were criminals and took photos of us.

They would get five stars if they had a larger supply of wood lets say. For being as small as they are, they pack a punch. They even have live chicks in the spring, and puppies!! Ok, no puppies, I got a little excited. Great garden center outside in spring, trailers, zero turn mowers of various size, riding mowers, even some side by side rigs in the entrance way. The most competitive Stihl supplier I've run across. All the Stihl products, and the staff knows that product as well.

Just want to say a big thanks to Thiesens small engine repair with Tim & Deonte. My 2 yr old Toro lawnmower stop working this morning. Took it out at Thiesens Tim worked on it, it never started this way when it was new, friendly fast service at a reasonable price

Purchased a Yardmax lawnmower from Theisen's Dubuque location recently. After using 1x, mower has some design flaws so tried to return, turns out Theisen's has a No Return policy on mowers or anything with a motor, but they do not bother to mention that when purchasing.

I really like Theisen's stores. Great inventory, quality stuff, and a lot.of it available. The staff folks there always seem pleasant and glad to help. Really like their Carhartt stock too. Just an overall great place to go.

I love how this store has continued to feel like a small town hardware shop despite carrying a wide array of products. It's clean, well maintained and the staff is always friendly. BONUS: It's dog friendly, has an excellent pet section and free popcorn 🍿

Penni was the rudest cashier I have ever met and the manager Jim was even worse. They had no idea what they were talking about as they both kept repeating a lie. I'm not sure how they think they earn a paycheck, but it is by having customers purchase from your store. When you have such horrible and extremely rude customer service people tend to not return. There are other stores to shop at. Do yourself a favor Jim and educate yourself of the programs your company supports. Then educate Penni as she seems to just repeat whatever you say.
