McGrath Dubuque Harley-Davidson

Yesterday we stopped in at McGrath Harley Davidson in Dubuque to get a poker chip and pin. We collect them from places we’ve traveled on our bikes. We traveled through here last year, but my husband Ralph Koch , Hr., didn’t want to stop. So, we are visiting our kids, JR and Sarah Bellamy for Easter, and Sarah took us to the Harley shop while we were out shopping. As soon as we walked in, my husband fell in love with the tobacco fade ultra limited. After Taco answered all of our questions we ended up trading in my husbands 2020 ultra limited. We really enjoyed the experience. They included all three of us in the negotiations, which was very helpful because collectively we made sure we got everything we wanted on the trade. They even agreed to come to Ohio and pick up the trade and drop off the new bike. We enjoyed drawing a card for a hand in poker at each department in the store, getting to choose our favorite song, ringing the bell, and getting a picture with the bike and all three of us. My favorite touch was a personal hug from Josh Connelly! That really shows sincerity. See felt like family. We really enjoyed our time there, and will definitely come back when it’s time for me to trade my bike up.

After spending time looking for the bike I wanted. I found it at another one of their dealerships. After talking to Karissa she had the bike brought to the closer dealership for me to look at. Karissa was fantastic to work with. She is very knowledgeable and personable. They treated me great. Thank you

Handlebars became loose while riding in Galena. Called McGrath in Dubuque and talked to William Stevens. Without hesitation, he asked when I could be there and could I do so safely? We were greeted promptly and total time in dealership was just over an hour. Pretty impressive for midday on a Friday. We were treated very well by all employees we interacted with and especially by William. He explained what they found, solution, and had me verify the position of the handlebars. I truly appreciate how courteous everyone was. I definitely recommend the dealership!

I reached out to a couple different dealers trying to find a very specific bike. I only wanted the black/black scheme in the road glide or street glide. After several failed attempts, Josh was able to get me the deal that best suit mine and my wife’s needs and got the ride I wanted in the payment I wanted. He was transparent through the whole process and I appreciated everyone’s efforts involved. The transparency from start to finish was very important to me, and ultimately they will get my business going forward. Thank you again!

I was traveling from Colorado to Wisconsin to attend a memorial service. I needed a new front tire. Made an appointment Friday evening for Saturday morning. From the first phone call, with Sarah in service to my arrival and then the service manager Ben, and Karissa. this is been the most outstanding group of individuals that I have run into at a Harley Davidson dealership. Not only did they make time for a weary traveler they were the utmost of professionalism and kindness and openness that I believe I’ve ever run into a dealership. My only regret is that this isn’t my home dealership. If you’re ever in the Dubuque area, my upmost recommendation is you stop here and at least have a cuppa coffee and enjoy their fantastic facility and their kindness.

I stopped in the Vista the dealership this morning I was in the area on vacation. I was greeted buy on of the sales members and he introduced himself as Taco.He was awesome took around the dealership through the service center, dyno room and parts center. What a fabulous facility! We bought a couple thing and the young lady at the counter rung us up she was supper pleasant and sweet! I would definitely make this place a stop if you are in the area!

Apparel, parts, service…. It doesn’t matter. This crew went out of their way to make sure I got back on the road feeling like I really mattered. Came back and bought a bike from them. These folks are the greatest! My wife and I were vacationing on our Harleys and spent a night in Galena, IL. After packing the bikes for our next destination I discovered my bike was dead. Apparently I left a switch on overnight. I tried jumping the battery from my wife’s bike to no avail and soon her battery was dead as well. I called McGrath Harley in Dubuque and within an hour a service tech (Adam) arrived and was able to jumpstart both bikes with a battery pack. He then called the shop and spoke to his manager Ben. He put him on the phone with me to discuss how to pay for the services received. Ben stated that there would be no charge and enjoy your vacation. I was flabbergasted! I was so appreciative and couldn’t believe they even came that far to help me let alone didn’t charge me. When I get ready to upgrade my 2001 Road King I will go out of my way to do business with these folks.

Really good place, nice people. I did feel like since our bike was already picked out online, we were sorta brushed off by some of the sales people as a "done deal", but all in all, great dealership. We traveled a long way and we weren't disappointed. They also took the time to transfer the bike we wanted from their sister location which saved us hours of drive time.

I was doing on-line searches while traveling across the USA when I found McGrath HD. The website was easy to use and I was able to find the exact bike I wanted. They worked with me online and remotely to purchase the bike including some upgrades I made. Everyone involved from McGrath HD was very helpful. The work done to the bike was also good. I was very happy with the whole experience

I had a performance engine that needed some upgrades, and upon disassembly they found some other issues. They notified me, showed me the problem, and gave advice. Parts were ordered quickly and they did a complete top end. They dyno tuned the bike as well and did a great job. I had a deadline due to an upcoming trip, and in spite of the delays getting parts and a good performance tune, they met the deadline and I am extremely happy with the results.

I was having trouble keeping the plate that covers my battery on my 2007 Sportser in place while driving, it would latch in to place until I hit the first bump, then it would hang off the bottom hinge until I pulled over. Several people tried fixing it with no luck & figure the plate and everything that keeps it in place would have to be replaced($$). I pulled into Harely Davidson Dubuque expecting to pay a good chunck of change just so I could ride safely, the guy at the mechanics desk,
( drawing a blank on names), came out to look at it and within minutes he knew what the problem was, and said he would work on it. I went in to shop, he had it fixed before I made it to the other side of the store, i still spent a good chunk of change but that was on New Apparel for Sturgis.
The concept of dealerships replacing unnessary over priced parts & over charging is not true here.
I was greeted with a smile by a well trained, experienced person that fixed the problem and charged accordingly.
The 2 women inside were also friendly and available to answer questions as they worked on everything from jewelry/ Apparel to floor matts & Home decor , this place has a nice variety for all gift giving and personal needs. By the time I made it back to service desk, the mechanic who helped me had left for the day and the guy with my total was just as polite and friendly as the first mechanic.
It was refreshing to see good customer service that used to be standard practice. As a middle aged , plain jane woman on a Harely Motorcycle, it is un heard of & very rare.
This quick 'fix it' trip has earned my respect and our business , from servicing both of Larrys bikes to all my shopping needs and now on my list of top ten dealerships nation wide.

Visited here soon as they opened on a Saturday for some service while on a 3700 mile trip. They were able to get me in and out pretty quick. Had a minor hiccup with one of the repairs but they resolved it right away and I was able to get another 300 miles in that day with no stress

Ben Paulsen hooked us up big time. On the road from TX and had our rough running Twin Cam straightened out in a jiff. Didn’t get the wrenches name that did the work but kudos to him also. And the giant dude that got us checked in on the previous day.

I was in the market for a dual sport bike and didn’t know if Harley Davidson built one so I thought I’d go check. The salesman said no but I could buy a street bike and put off-road tires on it. I knew enough to know that if a bike was made for the street then it’s suspension, clearances, etc weren’t made for off-road biking. The guy even got collaboration from a few of his colleagues to say the same thing. I left there and do not plan on entering that building again.

We were on a ride from North Liberty and had bike trouble which would would have left us stranded in Dubuque on a Saturday. We were fortunate to be near the dealership and they immediately took us in and fixed the problem. They had a nice sitting area where we waited with TV, popcorn, water and coffee. The shop dept. was great and they had us back on the road quickly! Very grateful!!

I had a muffler fall off on the road. Was able to wire it back on till I got to Dubuque harley-davidson. Big shout out and thank you to the guys that give me some tools and help me out appreciate it!

A special thank you.to (Adam.d.j) for servicing my motorcycle and thank you to the mechanic that worked my bike . I am sorry I did not get his name. I have a very hard time bringing in my motorcycle to harley dealerships because of past problems. All I can say .thank you for respecting property .
